We live close by so we always end up giving this place another chance. We have never left happy. One time we were here for over 3 hours for a one course meal. Always insane wait times for food, food often comes out cold and sometimes forgotten about all together. Horrible and inexperienced servers. You'll have to wait 15 minutes before being greeted then another 15 minutes to get your drink. Plates are never prebussed off the table, you never get refills and I don't have confidence that the server got my order right. This past experience we were there for over an hour. We waited for our food for about 45 minutes. Then a server who wasn't even our server said something about the computer and needing to know what food was ours??? So we had to tell her our order again. So after 45 minutes of waiting for our food we watched her put it into the computer because it was never rang in. So we got up and left. This is a sad excuse for a restaurant. You would expect better out of a chain/corporate business. read more

We showed up at 7:15 for dinner and were informed after being seated that they weren't going to make anymore crescent rolls for the night which was disappointing, but the night quickly went further downhill as it went on... during our whole meal, the servers were moving all the tables and chairs in the restaurant which made super loud screech noises, our order was wrong and completely cold, and to top it all off, a child started vomiting in front of our table as soon as our food was brought out. Food is as delicious as I remember. Signature Drink (painkiller) was awesome. Server was definitely green, but kind disposition. Got the manager involved, and that won me over. This place is like a nicer chilis if I had to compare it. The inside is decorated nicely, but not super clean like a nice restaurant. The food is ok, but not terrific - my salmon was dry and cheese curds were not crispy at all. Alcohol prices are great though, that's my favorite part about Cheddar's. Cheddars is kind of a middle of the road kind of place. I've actually been eating here quite a bit lately due to convenience of location but it's really not the greatest or the worst. Some highlights of the menu are their honey butter croissants, their cream gravy and their bourbon salmon. Avoid the Monte Cristo. Looks delicious but isn't. If you sit in the bar area you will likely receive better service. They have a male bartender in there who is so kind and friendly. Just generally awesome. All in all, I would choose cheddars over chili's but they're about the same level for me these days. Precovid I wouldn't have said that but like everything else. I've been to several Cheddar's before and this one was by far the worst I've ever experienced. My buddy's steak wasn't cooked AT ALL and looked like it was heated for all of 5 seconds. My 8 oz steak was the size of a mcdonalds quarter pounder slice and just as thin (along with like 10 fries that had no seasoning at all). Pretty bad experience. Servers were kind though. read more

The worst thing about this location is the lack of cleanliness. The bathroom, the tables, the seating, the menus, the glass and the flooring are always sticky and stained with a smell of sourness from food and drink spills. The food can be great on occasion and horrible on others. The best dish I have had is the coconut shrimp. Some dishes have way too much liquid smoke, like the salmon. The cocktails are extremely sweet with a lot of simple syrup or sweet and sour. The service is pretty good most of the time. The atmosphere is very nice. I just wish they took more pride in being clean. read more

Grabbed an early dinner with the family. For an appetizer we had onion rings and butter croissants. Our entrees were the blackened white fish, bourbon glazed salmon and pork chop. We hadn't been to Cheddar's in years but recently gave this location a chance & have been back 3 times over the past month. The kids really like the chicken strips & I like the croissants (though sometimes they are a bit overcooked) & me & my wife like the mixed drinks. It has a nice atmosphere & the service was perfectly fine. I see a few bad reviews but we had a good experience each visit. Maybe they had some changes in management over the past year? read more

Cheddars can be very inconsistent if you are going for the food. It's good, but it could have done better if you were going for the service. Best believe you will barely get it. I used to work there, so there is no excuse. Many people who work there get lazy or walk out because of being overworked. I was with my partner this time, and we both got a side of fries. His fries barely had parsley, and mine had too much; you could barely see the fries. We never asked for anything specific. The sweet tea each time changed to unsweet and sweet. There was no constancy. Server S. also loves to ask immediately if a 20 percent tip is okay when it took her 10 minutes to get our drink. It shouldn't take that long. I have worked with this server before, and I know she likes to slack off and use her phone until someone tells her she needs to do her table. There is a lot to like at this, easy to access establishment. Beautiful building with modern decor and easy pleantiful parking. It was very clean so I do not understand some of the negative comments from earlier reviews. They have an interesting menu with really reasonable pricing and is a great place to have pleasant conversation with friends as the noise level is pretty quiet. Get this: when your beverages arrive they give you a plate of honey-glazed croissants for the table which are hot and crispy on the outside and simply luscious. My wife tried the grilled chicken salad with candied pecans and enjoyed it. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich which is served with delicious preserves and powdered sugar with fries which I substituted for steamed broccoli. I took half of it home. My friend ordered the glazed salmon with stuffed baked potato and found it delicious. His wife had the CFS which looked perfect and came out hot. But inexplicably her sides of mashes potatoes and carrots were refrigerator cold? The manager did respond quickly and brought her sides that were hot. Our server was Shelby who was fabulous, giving us plenty of attention without fawning over us. We will be returning soon. Give them a try at one of their 3 Fort Worth locations. Really terrible service. I came here a few weeks ago with my nieces. First off, they simply forgot they seated us. 20 minutes into our wait, I flagged someone down and a server took our drink order. 20 minutes later, our iced teas arrived. Note, at this point, we were 40 minutes into our "meal" and we'd yet to even get menus. Eventually, our orders were clumsily taken. 30 minutes later, most of our meals arrived. Others did not. I told the food runner we still had other entrées outstanding and she assured me she get right on it. Nope. At this point, I was over it. I didn't care if I got my food or not, I just wanted to get out of there. They never came to check on us and make sure our food was OK, but the moron server eventually showed up with the check. I asked him to remove the items we never received and he was visibly embarrassed. He went to find a manager who, I kid you not, finally stopped by our table 20 minutes later and offered to remove the items we never got. Gee. Thank you. He also offered us free dessert but this point, we all just wanted the hell out of that pathetic place. I cannot imagine Cheddar's will stay in business much longer. On top of all this, the food we did get was nothing special. The fries were just fries and didn't have half of the toppings we ordered and the rest was just incredibly ordinary. Enough parking is always a good feature for any restaurant n I like it more when they have bike parking too They have maintained the decorum really well. Our usher instantaneously checked available booth for us( that was requested) n we were made seated. Comfortable enough. Pretty imaginative menu full of variety of chicken, fish, sandwiches. Especially kids Meals n lunch combos worth$8.99 . With any dish there is choice of add on like , ,baked sweet potato , . Though the quantity is meagre . Drinks menu has everything imaginable. Cocktails vary depending on how naughty u want to be n the prices are affordable . I loved the goodness of delicious, rich n juicy chicken served on a beautiful big plate as does the Americans . Arriving on time to get a prepaid order, I checked in and after waiting 15 minutes past the delivery time checked in to the desk. I was assured my order was in the works, but they were busy. Fair enough, but I verified that if I weren't there 15 minutes past the delivery time that they would call me, yes of course. A half hour later, went back in, the desk person took my receipt and found my order sitting on a shelf (for how long, who knows). Upon getting the ribs home, my recommendation is to go to your local grocery store and get the ribs from the heater at the deli. They will be far less expensive and you'll get about the same thing. EEK is right!!!! My husband and I dined here last night and it was busy but not packed. We were seated promptly near where the server's input orders and pay checks. We were there for 5ish minutes with dozens of servers walking past us and not one greeted us or let us know the wait would be long. The hostess took our drink order finally.... when they brought out our food, the waitress dropped a steak knife on my hand, it sliced my finger open as if fell to the floor. I wrapped it in a napkin and when the waitress asked if I needed anything I asked for a band-aid, she laughed and walked away..... the steak was so salty that I could not eat it.... this was just a horrible experience, we will not return. read more

The other day we showed up the hosts walked us to a ton of dirty tables & then realized we couldn't sit so had us stand around while she tried to find people to clean. She should have just left us in the front. When I asked for a drink they didn't have it. I think it was Dr Pepper or diet Dr Pepper idk. Then I ordered ribs & they didn't have any. Then I said steak I said medium well & they sent it medium rare it bled on all my food & I just asked the waitress to please have them cook it longer it came back again the same even the waitress was confused why it was still bleeding on all my plate I told her it was fine to not worry at that point my husband was done eating & I wanted to leave. Well I hate to say it but this place is rated some where between Denny's and McDonald's but more pricey. The chips were stale chip were mixed in with the fresh ones. Well try to find a waitress well that took some time no where to be found. So I ended up have the hostess get me some fresh chips so she came back with 1/2 of the chips I had on the plate so not a good trade I guess they mix the stale ones with them if they don't u only get 1/2 of what you paid for. By this time looked for my waitress to get me a refill and had to wait another 10 min that is when my burger came out. So I ask for some salt and pepper guess how long it took to get some salt and pepper yep 10 min my stuff was cold. Well so I wen to eat the cold fries well not very good let hope my dog likes them. Now the burger sorry no pic by that time I wanted to strangle someone. If I got to eat my burger hot it may have been better but not very good cold my dog is going to have a nice meal tonight. If this is how there are or did I just get a really bad waitress and bad cook. Maybe lunch is not the time to go there my friends for ft worth said it was a good place and the food was good but I say nothing to suggest that. I've been to several Cheddar's before, and this by far was the worst. To be fair, it was the Saturday night after a holiday and I'm sure that made an impact. However, this is just not a good experience overall. When we walked in we were able to get a table almost immediately, so that was a positive. Unfortunately, one of the booths was so wet we had to wait for them to go track down a towel and dry it off before we could sit. We were greeted by a very friendly server who took our drink orders and allowed us to peruse the menu. One thing I noticed was that the restaurant was not very clean. There were various bits of trash all over the floor and in the bathroom is well. I decided to wait a while and see if anyone came to clean it up because understandably it was very busy. Our server took our food orders. We waited a total of approximately 40 minutes to receive our food, which was far too long in my opinion but like I said, I understand it was busy. During that time, the trash on the floor was really bothering me so I took out my phone to try to take a picture. I have taken many pictures before in many different establishments and have never, ever been called out on it. That is, until tonight. A woman who I can only assume was a manager made a quick beeline directly towards me and demanded to know what the problem was and if something was wrong. She honestly intimidated me and I said no, in which she responded "Really? Because it looks like you were about to take a picture." Um....I was completely flabbergasted and was able to honestly tell her that no, I hadn't which was the truth. She said "that's what it looked like, so sorry" and then walked away and the three of us at our table just stared at each other in disbelief. I can honestly say that's never happened before and it made me extremely uncomfortable. About five minutes later I went ahead and took my picture and then about 10 minutes after that someone had come and cleaned the floor. I totally get that sometimes messes happen and it can't be cleaned up right away, especially when everyone is trying to take care of customers. However, if it looks that messy for that long it's a problem and I have every right to take a picture of it or anything else I want to in a restaurant as long as the picture does not contain images of people. The way that she reacted was entirely unprofessional and uncalled for. It honestly put a damper on all the rest of my dinner. When our food arrived, the server was told the wrong table so I watched as she tried to give our food to someone else before backtracking and finding our table and what she said was that it wasn't her fault because she was told the wrong number. We had to ask for silverware because we never had gotten any. I waited quite a long time for a refill and my sister-in-law waited 20 minutes for extra tartar sauce she asked for before finally having to ask again. My husband got the fish and I got the chicken and shrimp over rice pilaf. None of it was bad but it wasn't really great either. Just ok. I am giving two stars because the food was okay and the server was very friendly, and even with the mess I would have at least given three stars if it wasn't for the incredibly rude way we were treated by that one woman. I will go back to a Cheddar's again for sure, but not this location. Very disappointing. read more

Ate at Cheddars a few years back. On our stay in this area, I raved to my wife about the croissants. The croissants were cold and over cooked. Such a disappointment. Our server was great and brought us fresh ones, but those too were lackluster. I had New Orleans pasta, wife had a salad. Both were very subpar. Not sure why the shrimp tails were still attached. I work nearby and often have lunch in this area although not at Cheddars since I only have a limited amount of time away from work. Today I decided I wanted a good steak and some mashed potatoes and was treated to the best lunch I've had in recent memory. I even met the managing partner David Krause. Garrett, my server, was absolute perfection. My steak was cooked perfectly and I was in and out of there in 35 minutes. GM needs to train wait staff and managers. If you're strangely out of pasta for the night, you should say so before allowing the customers to order a dish with pasta in it. Especially bad that you serve the dish with no explanation and leave it to the customer to raise the question themselves. 86'd items should have been discussed at pre shift meeting. After bringing the issue up to the waitress, neither the floor or kitchen managers deemed the issue important enough to stop by the table. Don't market yourself as a "scratch kitchen" and then perform like that. Plenty of other options at this price point. read more

Tonight's debacle: Arrived at 4:00 after waiting 1 hour to be seated I finally asked how much longer we would be. Turns out our party had been lined out so another party of seven was seated. They then tried giving me another patties table, I requested a booth so that they could still seat their party of 12. After being seated we waited 10 minutes to give drink orders 25 minutes to get drinks . And another 10 till we got to order. I'm am extremely parent person but my five kids were beginning to flag. We were there 2 hours. I won't return. I get it's holidays, but you don't just seat a table and the. Write them off. Food is good, hope service is better for everyone else. read more

5 Star for our Server Sierra - extremely friendly and helpful. Can't hold her responsible for everyone's inadequacy. 1 Star for the Bartender - She was not very helpful. She wore her hair in bun and had glasses (description is for the manager). She did not know what a chilled, salted rim, with limes was. What I received was a warm glass that had not even half the glass salted. My opinion she didn't care. 1 Star for the food - We stopped by here on the way home from my husbands appointment. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak - the fry was hot, not greasy, the gravy was room temperature along with the mashed potatoes and carrots. I ordered sides- loaded bake potato soup and broccoli casserole- okay as you may already suspect they came out not at room temperature BUT flipping cold - I sent them back to reheat in the trusty microwave. The serving of broccoli casserole came in one of those small dishes they bring your dressing in - really- I mention this because if you take my husbands sides on his plate there is no way in high heaven that it would fit in the dressing container. The bowl of loaded bake potato soup was half full - really - so here is the dilemma if you ask for them to at least get the portion size correct you might come across as a glutton- which I am not - but I was a little hungry.
