Pork chops

I took my sister there for her birthday and it was fabulous! The BBQ ribs were true to their description- fall off tender. My sister always gets the pork chops and she said they didn't disappoint. Because it was her birthday, they treated her to a scoop of ice cream. Will definitely be returning

Always a great meal. I love their croissants the oven roasted chicken is my favorite. Their mashed potatoes have a great flavor to them. The beans are my husbands absolute favorite. Their price point is also decent. You won't be breaking the bank for a delicious meal.

Charleston's NEVER misses. My husband and I have been huge fans of the restaurant since we moved to the Tulsa area. We've tried an array of dishes: Dynamite Shrimp Salad, Kale & Quinoa Salad, Flatbread Pizza, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Salmon Caesar Salad, Walt's Champagne Salad, French Dip, Grilled Chicken and Avocado Club, Chicken Piccata, Grilled Pork Chops, Shrimp Scampi, Pork Carnitas Tacos, the Cheeseburger.. so you could say we dine here often! We have honestly never had a bad dish but our favorite dish might have to be the Dynamite Shrimp Salad or the Grilled Pork Chops. I also enjoy their fish specials from time to time. Charleston's is a classic and the service is always friendly and prompt. No matter what kind of food you're in the mood for, you won't be disappointed.

Charleston's is one of my favorite restaurants in Tulsa. Excellent food, every single thing is made from scratch. The service is excellent, and the experience is always wonderful. I love the catfish, chicken Parmesan, queso, and salad.

Not in the mood for a burger or sandwich? There are other options such as salad and pasta, which rounds out the menu. The sides offer flexibility as well with regular fries or upgrading to something with a little extra zing such as the jalapeño cheddar tots. Drink options are also well covered from standard fountain drinks and lemonade to classic shakes or those a little boozy. I prefer this location for its ease of parking and seating; customer service also consistently knocks it out of the park.

The hostess (she didn't say her name) had the personality of a rock. If you're a business owner, you want the host/hostess to be the gleaming face of your establishment. This hostess had no smile, no energy, and no desire to be a welcoming person. Eyore has a better personality. Now, on the flip side, Bella (our server) was a rock star. She was on top of drink refills without asking, checked on us numerous times and had an excellent personality and demeanor. Again, the food was top notch, but you really need employees that serve as a host/hostess to put on their happy face and actually act like you enjoy working there. She may have been having a bad day, but that is not an excuse.

There is an abundance of wine to choose from. Our server was rushed (and they were packed) and I didn't get a lot of direction on the wine so I just ordered a white sampler and just asked for three dry varieties. The first one I tried (Collan) was not dry in my opinion. The Triple was drier but my favorite was the Fume. I really got hints of pinion in this final one and ordered another 5 oz. of it. We tried the avocado bruschetta to start. It was four big pieces of good bread but was more avocado toast than bruschetta. I would probably go with a different appetizer next time. We both tried the burgers. I went with the mushroom-gouda one. It was over done and not seasoned at all. The gouda was nice and gooey and the mushrooms were seasoned well. Fries were OK. The table next to us had a couple of the flatbreads and I would try those next time. Back to the service. It was OK but our server had a tendency to just show up at our table and just stand. I would come back to try more appetizers and a flight of their red offerings. I also want to know more about the winery. Maybe after the busy holidays.

The food was so good we didn't even stop to take pictures, but we had a combination of the Prosciutto Fig, and Goat Cheese Flatbread, Garlic Fries, and the Friday Prime Rib Dinner. It's been a while since I have been here, and I loved all of the holiday decorations!

I thought...well, it can't be that bad! We arrived about 6:30 pm and the parking lot was packed and I thought...oops, I should have made reservations for 4! However, upon entry, we were immediately seated and our guests were seated quickly by a very kind staff! Soon, we were charmed by fresh warm homemade rolls complete with a scoop fresh of butter and also cinnamon- butter...Wow! Since the place was busy...service slowed a bit, so more fresh warm roll were delivered again...Darn the luck! Food was delivered and all the four of us were blown away by the quantity and quality of the food! Silly me... I ordered the "house special" for the evening...Huge Chicken Fried Steak...my sides: sweet seasoned carrots and apple sauce (both very large servings!) My wife and our friend's orders were also quite large servings and everyone brought home food! Now, we are thinking about taking grandsons to dinner there...their appetite will be well covered by quality and quantity!! Case closed!!

The hustle and bustle of Friday night dinner plans hadn't started yet and there was plenty of seating. We were seated and there were crumbs on our "clean" table. We were moved and the floor under that table was sticky. Our server, who never introduced themselves, came and took our drink and appetizer order. Our sodas came out flat. The server didn't charge us and replaced them with waters. Our appetizer eventually arrived, the spinach, artichoke dip. The parmesan on top was not melted, we removed it like a sheet of paper. We told our server, who said, "oh yeah, I should've told you that it is better when you take it home and microwave it to really melt the cheese then it's really good". Even if we did enjoy the spinach dip, which we did not, there aren't enough pita chips to eat the entire appetizer. Those would be an additional charge. During the appetizer conversation, I did put my empty water glass to their side of the table to make a refill more simple. They started to walk away without even realizing the nonverbal gesture I made as to not interrupt our conversation. I verbally asked for more water and they forgot about it. I did witness the "ah-ha" moment when they remembered they had forgotten. My wife's grilled salmon had no real flavor, sitting on top of a basic bed of rice. Her tabouli was lacking. I can't forget to mention that when her side salad arrived, the food runner simply asked, "is this yours?" It was slightly off-putting. I never thought about my dining experience being altered by the food runner, but "side salad with ranch" versus "is this yours" is a minor detail that can apparently affect the experience. The server didn't come by as often as I felt they should. They did their verbal checks with the appetizer and the meal, but didn't see them do any walk by checks, until I asked for the bill. My burger was nothing to write home about, but it was good. The fries were undercooked and the thousand island dressing tasted like Kraft dressing. I ate half my burger and my wife ate a small portion of her salmon. We paid 60$ for food we barely touched and we took none of it home. I would rather pay 60$ at Chili's or Texas Roadhouse. We take those leftovers home. I would like to say that I would give Bison another chance, but that won't be the case. Too many mishaps on this visit to make us want to return. My wife was very tempted to talk to the manager, but I was more ready to just pay the check, leave, and take this experience as a sign to never return.

It takes a LOT of reading before you can figure out what you want. I understand wanting to highlight farms that the beef is sourced from, but it shouldn't be the most prominent thing in the menu. It's super confusing. Last, the truffle fries need reworked badly. I got fries with some truffle-esque condiment squeezed randomly on top. Fries needed to be tossed in the sauce while hot, so it was a soggy mess. 1/5, wouldn't recommend those.

The hamburgers are outstanding -- juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly how you order them. You can tell they use quality beef, and the toppings are fresh. Also tried the fish. Our server, Rebel, was the standout of the entire experience. She handled our large group single-handedly, keeping orders organized and service on point the whole time. Friendly, engaging, and attentive--she's exactly the kind of person you want taking care of your table. We started with Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, and a Giant Pretzel. The wings looked good but fell short in crispness and flavor. The Pretzel was solid, but the big surprise winner was the Mozzarella Sticks--definitely worth ordering! For my meal, I had the Chicken Club with a side salad. The sandwich was excellent, thanks to the perfectly toasted wheat berry bread that really made it shine. The side salad, however, was a miss. It looked fresh but lacked flavor, and I wish restaurants would serve salads on chilled plates to keep them crisp. Overall, Main Street Tavern is a solid choice for lunch or even after work on the patio. The food has its highs and lows, but with Rebel taking care of you, the experience is well worth it.

He runs more to the tame side of food, so this was a logical choice for us. TLDR: good food, reasonable prices and really nice people. Got there around 12:45, and were seated immediately. We got menus and ordered drinks and set about making choices. My son went with the chicken and waffles, hashbrowns instead of eggs, since he doesn't eat eggs. I went with my usual diner test, the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, cream gravy and green beans. The inside is clean, neat and cheery. Staff were busy but attentive. Food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Son's chicken and waffles were outstanding, according to him. Chicken not dry and waffles crisp on the outside and tender inside. Not sure what syrup they use, but he commented that it had almost a cinnamon flavor that he loved. The dish comes with a berry compote type dip that was quite good. Hashbrowns were perfect. Crispy on the outside and steamy soft inside. My CFS was one of the better ones I've had. Not the best, but certainly an 8/10 on all points. Plenty thick enough, nearly 1/2" and well breaded. Crust to meat ratio was good too, with only a little pullback on the meat. Brust was flavorful and not at all soggy. Potatoes are scratch made, and the gravy was both flavorful and plentiful. Green beans were slow cooked and once I salted them, they were great. CFS could have been a little more tender, as some parts definitely needed a knife to cut, but overall, a really good effort. It also came with a respectable side salad that I enjoyed a lot. Prices are reasonable, service is great and the atmosphere is typical diner, without being a greasy spoon, not that that's a bad thing at all. My part of the order ran to $18 and change with an iced tea, and for what I got, that's not bad at all.

Unfortunately, the exact opposite happened. First off, the only reason this place didn't get 2 stars was because of the staff and service personnel. Julie, our server was very friendly and awesome at her job. My wife ordered catfish with coleslaw. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. Julie recommended that we get an order of their homemade rolls. The orders came out fast with a side of green beans to share. My wife said the catfish was edible, but the coating was too heavy, and one of her pieces was undercooked and mushy. She said the coleslaw had a little bite, but it was really running and not the best she's had. My chicken fried steak was tender (cube steak) and the gravy was thoroughly cooked, but bland (salt and pepper helped). My mashed potatoes were terrible, because they were instant potatoes. Not even the bland gravy could save them. The green beans were doctored up canned green beans and not worth the calories. The homemade rolls were cold, but chewy, but nothing like Texas Roadhouse. We will come back again to try another menu item, but it won't be for a while.
