Garlic Mashed Potatoes NEW! Tuscan-Grilled Ribeye* 16oz Sauteed Broccoli All amazing. The steak grilled to perfect medium rare.
Javier R.

The mash potatoes here have been some of my favorites for years. The steak was cooked perfectly. I never add anything to the steak but today I went with the spicy butter and it definitely compliments the steak. Came for a birthday and could not have received a better service. Our server was seriously one of the best I've ever had. Dessert was on the house for the birthday and it was their sogno de chocolate. Never disappoints. It was enough to share among two of us. Their shrimp scampi which has become one of our favorite appetizers is a must try. Highly recommend it. The restaurant has changed a lot over the years but it's still a clean, lowly light ambience. It's both modern and rustic. This is the first and only time I've been here where a manager doesn't come to check on the table. It was a strange situation, I also expected someone to say something to us on our way out as there were multiple employees near by. They usually do. I recommend the staff to maintain those good practices. To Frederick, our server, I wish you worked at all restaurants I visit when I visit them.

We really enjoy the monthly wine dinners. The wine dinner prefix menu comes down from Corporate which gives us an opportunity to experiment with new wines . Where else can you try four different Caymus family wines for 60 bucks? Fair price and there's always enough food for another meal the next day if you're into leftovers !

Chicken piccata

Our server was so pleasant! Gave me a free dessert so had to get tiramisu to take home. Two loafs and herbs plus lots of olive oil. I got the chicken Bryan as usual and hubby got the chicken piccata. Was pleasantly surprised since we usually only come here for my birthday!

Kids Spaghetti

The location was nice and clean, had friendly wait staff and the food came out promptly and as ordered. This review is hard for me because I am foodie and love food with flavor and originality. In the 90's Carrabbas use to be my favorite Italian restaurant with their fresh baked bread, pasta sauces, and manicotti that would light up my tastebuds. However, their modern menu has changed as well as their recipes. The bread tastes just like white bread now and the pastas lack real spice. Even the Shrimp and Scallop vodka pasta was lacking real flavor. To be honest, the food is much more olive garden now then it use to be. In the 90s I felt like grandma Russo was in the back using the family recipes and now it's become very bland. However, the location itself gave us a pleasant dining experience and my daughter loved her kids meal!

BONJOUR, DARLINGS!…read more It is I, Mozzarella! International pink poodle, professional service dog, and Italian princess! Whenever we're visiting Tulsa, Mama, Papa, Nonna, and the ENTIRE Italian family make a pilgrimage to Prossimo! The food is DELIZIOSO, the atmosphere is gorgeous, and the staff treats us like FAMIGLIA! Unfortunately, I am ON DUTY and strictly forbidden from partaking in the cuisine. Imagine bringing an Italian to an Italian restaurant and telling her she cannot eat! MAMMA MIA! THE AUDACITY! Five paws for fabulous hospitality! Five paws for the pink aesthetic. Five paws for brunch in style. I'll be returning, naturally. Someone has to supervise this family. BISOUS ET BACI! Mozzarella Professional service dog. Italian princess. Unpaid food critic. Surrounded by pasta. Forbidden to participate.

The ristorante is so close to our house we ordered pickup through "toast" online ordering service, which I'd never heard of. First of all, "toast" failed to deliver the order, so I must suppose what we received was hastily thrown together at the beginning of dinner service. I will let photos speak and end by saying we threw everything out but the calamari and tiramisu. Even the bread - $5 for delivery - wasn't even sliced, didn't match their online pictures. We weren't mad. Just disappointed beyond words. Unfortunately, in looking for more picture examples, I found a review that sounded just like mine. She , too, just sounded so sad over an expensive, special meal. . . .

I am not sure what the entree was but it was delicious. It was penne dish with perhaps a vodka sauce. It was creamy with some tomato sauce and included sausage. The flavors were very pleasing. I ever order penne because I've had penne dishes in which the sauce didn't cook in to the pasta. The sauce in this dish penetrated the pasta quite well. It changed my opinion of penne. The room is perfect for the size of our group. It is not overly decorated allowing for the clubs to create their own ambiance. Ours was political. Ti Amo's has long been our go to Italian restaurant. We liked going to their Happy Hour. Except for this luncheon, we haven't been there since they started adding a charge for using credit cards. We like the convenience and safety of carrying very little cash. We don't use our debit card for purchases because it puts bank accounts at risk. If we are with people who want to go to a restaurant that charges for credit cards, we go there and pay with a credit card. When it's just the 2 of us, we tend to gravitate to the places that just include the card expense in their menu pricing.

I don't even know where to start! I LOVE Gambill's--everything about it! I've become a regular over…read morethe years and come here for my dinner to-go for every self-care home movie night. Gambill's is the best Italian food I've ever had and they are extraordinarily consistent in quality across each dish, quality across each visit, and quality of staff. Gambill's feels like a hole-in-the-wall place you just feel lucky to have found and are proud to support. They make all of their pasta fresh to order, all of their sauces and desserts in-house, and all of their pizzas are slow-fermented sourdough from a 233 year-old sourdough starter. And let me tell you, you can taste every bit of that family-owned, made with fresh ingredients, made in-house, and made with love flavor in every bite of every dish. I've gotten many things from Gambill's over the years, but I always go back to my regular order: Fettuccini Pesto Alfredo and Pesto Cheese Focaccia. The noodles are exquisite--soft and tender and perfectly cooked. The sauce is creamy, smooth, and extremely flavorful, bringing in the creamy and savory elements of a classic Alfredo sauce while pulling to the forefront the herbal flavors of the pesto in a way that strikes the precise balance. There is a ton of the pesto Alfredo sauce and it pairs just right with the noodles. The focaccia bread is loaded with a savory and powerful pesto they make in-house and smothered in fresh, melted mozzarella. It's the perfect complement to the fettuccini pesto Alfredo and you can dip the bread in any extra pesto Alfredo sauce you may have. Their Chicken Piccata is also excellent! The chicken is a tender and moist fried chicken. The sauce is creamy and generous with a nice lemon flavor that is not overly tart and with plenty of capers that provided a good balance and added an additional sour flavor that helped bring out the body of the sauce. However, the biggest star of the show is the generous bed of linguine pasta. Like all of their noodles, the pasta was delicious and soft with a great texture and the creamy sauce really complemented the pasta perfectly. Their pizza is great and the sourdough crust is a star! It has a very sweet and delicious pizza sauce that really stands out, especially compared to other pizzas. Their cheesecake is amazing! It's smooth, rich, and creamy with a dense and rich center. However, as good as that was, the standout component in this cheesecake is the crust. The crust is often my least favorite part, but this crust has a deep caramel and perhaps slightly nutty taste that was different from any other crust I've ever had. The caramel flavor profile cut through yet balanced and complemented the creamy rich flavor of the cheesecake itself for an excellent top-to-bottom bite. The cannolis are the best I've ever had and I'm not even a big fan of cannolis! They have a crunchy exterior and a rich and creamy interior loaded with chocolate chips. The service is wonderful! The staff are so nice and friendly! Any place you can frequent and be recognized and asked if you "want the usual" is a special place. I'm blessed to have even formed friendships and talk about our work and kids and life in general. This may be my longest review, but it is for good reason! I cannot recommend Gambill's enough or begin to express how much I love it and value its place in my life. If you only try one new restaurant this decade, I encourage you to make it Gambill's! 5/5 (Favorite!)

To start with, the food here is rather promising. My 1st trip here was for the Wednesday spaghetti…read morespecial. Their FB page shows bar specials (happy hour) from 4pm-6pm which is perfect for me getting off work. 1st visit I tried their door at 4:15pm and it was locked. There were folks moving around inside so I figured maybe they just late getting started. Came back after walking around at 4:40 and door still locked. Waited around outside came back at 5pm and the door was open. I specifically asked what their HH hours were and was told 4-6. Pointed out that their door was locked from 4-5 and that no one would open it earlier, and an excuse was given that they lock it to keep the homeless out and if I just knocked on the door I would be let in. Weird but whatever. Was seated and someone came to take my drink order. Asked for unsweetened tea with lemon, I was asked if I needed sweetener and declined. Ordered the spaghetti special along with a side of fried sausage olives which are olives with sausage wrapped around them and fried. Sounded good at the time. Tea showed up, I took a sip and it was sweet tea which I didn't want. Called the server over, told her what was up and she proceeded to tell me they don't serve sweet tea. I told her I had sweet tea in my glass and she was welcome to check for herself. She declined to do so, so I asked for water instead and she left, rather irate it seemed, to get that. A few minutes later a manager came out and apologized for the sweet tea, apparently Lipton sells teabags that are presweetened and they had purchased those in error. My tastebuds did not lie. Eventually the food came out. The spaghetti was excellent. The sausage covered olives not so much. Sausage was cooked HARD on the olives making them rather difficult to chew and enjoy. All in all tho a good meal with strange service. Went back a few days ago. Showed up at 4:20pm and door was locked. As per the instructions I received just a few weeks ago I knocked on the door only to be ignored by the peeps inside. Finally one of the ladies got tired of me knocking, came and unlocked the door and asked what I wanted. I said I am there for HH and the spaghetti special and I was told they weren't opening until 5pm from now on and closed the door on me. Confused I went thru their FB feed and found no mention of a change in hours. In fact as of this morning they still have HH beginning at 4pm. I would like to go back and try some other appetizers with their special but coming from the other side of town to make a 5pm opening is a killer due to traffic. Apparently the folks who live and work downtown are the only ones they interested in. As I said, would love to try more food there but the service needs work.
