More faves were the Heaped Hummus with warm soft pita bread, Mushroom Soup, Grilled Citrus Salmon, and Garlicky Potatoes! The oil and spices on the table to dip the pita bread in was another bonus - yum!!! Service was excellent from the sweet gal who took our order, to the many kind servers who helped us find a table and get us to-go drinks when we were done. New location in the Broken Arrow area-Meddys!! I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Service was spot on, the layout was clean and modern. I ordered the heavenly hummus bowl with lamb for lunch...it did not disappoint. Before getting my meal, I was given a fresh piece of naan that I enjoyed with some olive oil and spices. This was our first visit to a Meddy's. I was curious how this place would look after taking over the Mod Pizza spot, but wow! It was really nice inside! The decor and ambience was really nice and relaxing, complete with a faux tree and a few big, cozy booths. I would say the setup here doesn't look good for large parties, but if it's just 4 or so people, it's great. The staff were all super friendly and courteous, coming around to check on us multiple times, and dropping off our complimentary warm pita bread, which was warm, fluffy and delicious. I will say the ordering feels a bit abrupt. You walk in, and you're at the ordering area, so be sure to do your research before you go. The cashier was very nice and offered suggestions, etc...to help us out since it was our first visit. I ordered the garlicky chicken with garlic potatoes. The chicken was just okay, but the potatoes were amazing! Also, the white garlic spread that comes on your plate is SO delicious and garlicky. Basically, this plate is a garlic lovers dream. There were also a few small, pickled veggie sides to sort of cleanse your pallet between garlic packed goodness. Over all, it was a good first experience and impression. Visited for the first time today. We were warmly greeted by the staff, who were attentive and friendly throughout our meal. I ordered the Fancy Falafel plate, expecting it to come exactly as it was described on the menu so I was caught off guard when I had choices to make on a side. Choices were Mediterranean Salad, tabouli, and something else that I can't remember. I asked if I could choose a different side and pay an upcharge, before I knew what the side I was choosing was for, and was told that was not possible. The employee told me it was what would come under the falafels, so I chose the Mediterranean Salad. The plate was large and full of food! Definitely a good value for the price. My falafel plate came with 5 donut-shaped falafels, hummus, pita, Mediterranean Salad, and Spanish Eggplant. The Spanish Eggplant was my favorite thing on the entire plate - so warm and comforting, it was excellent. Hummus was delicious, the pita is top notch. The falafels were just ok - very hard on the outside, thankfully fluffy inside, but room temp. The salad was my least favorite thing; the dressing was too sweet for me but I was thankful for the chunks of feta. My husband ordered the Garlicky Chicken and said it was ok. The Toom dip on the plate and the garlic potatoes were his favorite things. I shared my hummus with him, there was a lot. We agreed we would come back to try other things, but the food this time was just ok. We have had some insanely good Mediterranean food in town so the bar is high. We attended the soft opening of the new Meddys in Broken Arrow last night and wow, Broken Arrow showed up. I've never seen a soft opening this busy. The line was out the door and stretched down the sidewalk, but it moved surprisingly fast given the crowd. This was our first time trying Meddys after hearing the hype, and I'm happy to report it absolutely lived up to it. Huge shout-out to the staff for being so prepared. Everyone was friendly, patient, and helpful, guiding people through the ordering process with ease. The backs of their shirts say "A Team With Purpose," and that could not have been more accurate. For food, I ordered the Hummus Stacked Bowl with steak. It came with roasted veggies, parsley, and was served over hummus, with pita bread and pita chips on the side. You can mix the two, which I highly recommend. This dish was a solid 10/10. My wife ordered the Grilled Citrus Salmon with tabbouleh, roasted vegetables, tomato-onion relish, and tzatziki. I almost ordered it myself. After stealing a bite, I was convinced this will be my next dish to try. The salmon was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. Our two older kids went with the Chicken Shawarma. One paired it with fries and the other with a Mediterranean salad. Both were very happy with their choices. For our younger two, ages 4 and 7, Mediterranean food was a tougher sell, so we ordered chicken tenders and fries plus mac and cheese for them to split. They cleaned their plates, and our 7-year-old quickly realized she missed out when she started dipping extra pita into the oil and seasoning. Ordering was smooth and efficient. You order at the counter, find a seat, and are quickly greeted with warm pita bread and oil for dipping. We also ordered an extra side of hummus and pita for the table, which was a great call. This new Meddys location is in Tiger Hill Plaza at 71st and Lynn Lane. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for families, date nights, or meeting friends. The menu has something for everyone, including plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-sensitive options, all made fresh and full of flavor. I would also like to give them a shout-out for the interior work and design. The space feels classy and thoughtfully done, with warm lighting that creates a comfortable, inviting atmosphere. If you're not familiar with Middle Eastern hospitality, drop into Meddy's and experience it for yourself. They will not let your cup run dry, your plate of complimentary bread and oil go empty, or any need you have go unmet. And the food? Simply phenomenal. Juicy chicken, beef, and lamb options with almost every entree. You cannot go wrong with any of those options. The garlicky potatoes are crunchy and soft in all the right places. New drinks brought before drinks were half full, empty plates taken away immediately, and servers checked on us multiple times. All the food was so great, too!
