Spinach and Artichoke dip. Salsa was great!!!
Ike S.

Came in for a late lunch and glad we came in when we did. It got crowded towards the end of our meals an we see why. It was a bit dark inside but it didn't take away from the overall aestetic. The food was really good. The plan was to eat there and order a dinner meal to go. We were wrong. The spinach Artichoke dip was the appetizer but it was so good that it started filling me up leaving little room for my entree. The salsa was awesome. I was offered more but deckined to save room. I ordered the reuben and fries, which was more sandwich than expected. It was good but I added the garlic dressing instead of the usual dressing, which made it better. She had the salad and it was awesome and humongous. We could've split it 3 ways. The chicken was cooked perfectly and wouldve been great on its on but it added some more flavor to the salad. We will definitely be back to try other menu items.

Great salad and soup! The bread was delicious, the server was attentive and friendly. We had a very nice lunch. I want to return sometime and try a full meal. I had the salad, loaded baked potato soup and bread and that was very filling! Refreshing and very good!

Amazing quality the salmon caesar salad is the BEST salad in town In my opinion. The salmon is quality and the chicken fried chicken meal was amazing. Carrots cooked perfectly & great taste. Mashed potatoes & gravy was delish, gravy was bomb. Fried chicken bomb. 8/10

There is shared parking to the sides of the restaurant and street parking in front. The inside was open with darker wood and lower lighting. We got a table right away and our waitress was on it from drinks, refills and friendly. I really enjoyed my side salad with thousand island dressing. The steak was good, the baked potato was good but a little too much salt on the outside of the potato.

Went here a few days ago. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a separate gluten free menu, which I needed as I have Celiac disease. I ended up getting the $16 gluten free hickory burger with coleslaw. My sister had the $18 club salad and a $12 peach sangria. Service was fine. Ambiance was pretty dark for lunch. This would be a nice spot for a date due to how dark it is. I enjoyed my burger. Hopefully they add more starters to the gluten free menu. Overall, I'd go back.

I always find Charleston's on Peoria to be very consistent. We order curbside there about four times a month.

Service was good but the food is so mediocre for the price. Always been told about this place and decided to try it.

I have been coming to Oren for years, and it remains my favorite brunch spot in the area. In a…read moreworld where consistency can be hard to find, Oren continues to deliver every single time. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between modern and classy. Whether you're meeting friends for brunch, having a date morning, or bringing family from out of town, the space feels welcoming without being overly formal. The staff is always attentive, friendly, and genuinely kind, which makes the experience even better. My absolute favorite item on the menu is the French toast. I do not say this lightly, but it is the best French toast I have ever had. It is perfectly cooked, flavorful, and somehow manages to be indulgent without feeling overly heavy. It is one of those dishes I find myself craving long after I've left. Another favorite is the poached eggs with creamed spinach. The eggs are consistently cooked well, and the creamed spinach adds a richness that makes the dish feel comforting while still being elevated. Every bite is flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. One thing I appreciate about Oren is that the quality extends beyond just a few standout dishes. The food is consistently fresh, tender, and well executed. The drinks are equally impressive. Whether you are in the mood for tea, a brunch mimosa, or one of their delicious espresso martinis, there is something for everyone. Most recently, I brought family members who were visiting from out of town. Our party included seven adults and three children, and everything went smoothly. The staff handled our larger group well, service remained attentive, and everyone was able to enjoy their meal without feeling rushed. After years of dining here, Oren continues to be a place I confidently recommend. Great food, excellent service, a beautiful atmosphere, and remarkable consistency keep me coming back again and again.

Ambiance reminds me of a fancy place you would find in a larger city. Upscale and minimalistic. Very pleasant. I sat at the bar so unsure about service at a table. Unfortunately, I felt overlooked at the bar, especially since I wasn't drinking. The staff was extremely busy making drinks and I had to get their attention whenever I needed anything. Would recommend making reservations to get a table seat to receive proper service. I ordered the burger with fries. Cooked well but the flavor was nothing special. Will return and try something else!

Service was spot on throughout the entire night. We started with the deviled eggs, half plain and half Chef's Choice. The Chef's Choice were the best, drizzled with chili crisp (or pickled Szechuan peppercorns) and topped with a tiny gherkin and fresh dill. The soup of the day was a cabbage and radish soup. It was interesting and very homey but I wish I had ordered the salad. I had the Novarro Farm sweet Potato Gnocchi (kale and pecan pesto, Birch Bottom Farm Georgia candy roaster, fresh chevre). I was a little hesitant about the kale pesto but should NOT have been. This dish was delicious--great garlic flavor. Would order again. The burger looked amazing and while The Hubs said it was good, he also said it needed some more spice. They had a couple of rotating beers from Heirloom--a Mexican Lager and an Italian Pilsner. I had the Water Lily cocktail, their take on an Aviation. Order it just because it's beautiful (and refreshing). The photo does not depict the deep color of it. I asked what other gin based cocktails they had on their menu. They didn't but the server/bartender offered to make me a Bee's Knees for the second round. It was delicious! The atmosphere here is casual but the food is elevated. I kept thinking this is what a French bistro would be like inside. I want to come back and shop the market. Oh, and the apple pie was excellent as well!

This is the first time I've eaten here in 5+ years. I used to come here pretty regularly and I…read moreloved the place. The staff was always quirky, the food was good, and the place ran smoothly even when there was a long line waiting for tables. This visit, our party had 6 people and we got there around 9:30 on a Sunday morning, before the breakfast/brunch/lunch rush and there weren't many tables occupied so the service was fast and attentive. Our coffee was always topped off, and the water carafe always full of ice water. Once our orders were placed the food came out faster than expected. I had the Chickito (flour tortilla around eggs, cheddar cheese, green onions, and chicken, with small containers of salsa, sour cream, and guacamole), and it was good, but not great. Next time I'd ask for more salsa. It also comes with home fries, which are my favorite variety of breakfast potato - crispy outsides and soft insides. Other folks ordered omelette, biscuits, other items off the menu, and all said their meals were very good. The chalkboard with specials says clearly at the top that they add 20% to every check, but I can't recall if it said it was a service fee or gratuity. Either way, they automatically add the tip which, in my opinion, lowers the bar for staff to do a good job. This means, go early to get better service to make the automatic +20% worth it. Overall, I'm going with 3 stars because of that extra 20%. If they didn't do that I'd give it 4 stars.

We came in as a party of four, and honestly, I don't know why we expected anything different. This…read moreplace has always been mediocre at best, but this visit somehow managed to sink even lower. The service was a joke. Our waiter barely acknowledged us the entire time--long waits, no check-ins, nothing. Then came the straight-up lie: we were told chocolate milk refills were free. Cool, right? Wrong. The bill shows up, and suddenly we're staring at $44 just for chocolate milk. For four people. That's not a misunderstanding--that's either incompetence or straight-up deception. And just when you think it can't get worse, they slap on an automatic 20% tip for a party of four. Four. Not ten, not twelve--four. For service that was practically nonexistent. A forced tip for that level of effort feels insulting. If anything, the experience deserved a dollar out of pity, not a mandatory surcharge. Between the terrible service, misleading information, and ridiculous charges, this place went from "mid" to "never again" real quick.
