I am switching Riverwind Casino to River Spirit Casino for the weekend's de-stress. Ruth's Chris Steak House is the best restaurant on River Spirit Casino's premise. I have been to the restaurant a few times partly because of the casino's comps. Ruth's Chris Steak House is not cheap but the steaks are amazing. Their best deal is the Ruth's Classics, a 3 course meal, that comes with a salad/soup, an entree (filet with jumbo shrimps or lobster tail), a side, and a dessert, for $70-80. Unfortunately, the ribeye (my favorite) is a stand-alone entree. I love sitting at the bar at Ruth's Chris Steak House because of the servers. They are friendly and they recognized me the SECOND time, very impressive. I also love the fine dining environment. I don't feel uncomfortable for dressing up when going to this restaurant. Ruth's Chris Steak House is the only steakhouse that got medium rare exactly how I wanted. The ribeye at Ruth's Chris Steak House was very tender and melted in your mouth. Our main bartender was quick to replace our bread that had hair on the butter, eek! I must say though that the bar area is large with comfortable chairs and tvs with sports ball which was enjoyable. The dining area behind us appeared to still be romantic setting. Upon entry you will see large seating area and nice bathrooms on the right. We decided we wanted to attempt to spend a certain amount so decided to eat the sandwiches on the bar menu. My burger wasn't medium rather no red. Was still really Good though. The steak sandwich was on point though. The drinks were pretty good but I've had better martinis in town. Notifying them ahead of time of the occasion ensured special touches they added for this such as seating us with a beautiful view, table confetti, and a complimentary dessert. Our waiter was top notch with impressive knowledge of the different types of steak cuts including how the location of the cow affects taste and texture. I had dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse recently and went with The Ruth's Classic, which includes a starter, an entrée with a side, and dessert. Honestly, the whole meal was great--classic steakhouse vibes with solid food across the board. Service was great as well. We shared the calamari as an appetizer, and it was a hit. It came tossed in a sweet chili sauce that really elevated it from the usual fried calamari. The texture was spot-on--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside--and the sauce added the perfect mix of sweet heat. It had just enough spice to wake up your taste buds, without being overwhelming. Definitely a great way to start the meal. I started with the French onion soup, which was exactly what I was hoping for. The broth was rich and had a deep, savory flavor, with perfectly caramelized onions throughout. On top, there was this layer of melted cheese that was gooey, crispy around the edges, and super satisfying. It was warm, comforting, and just a really good start to the meal. & For the main course, I had the steak and lobster combo, which definitely felt like a treat. The steak came out sizzling hot (literally--they serve it on a super-hot plate), and it was cooked just the way I like it. Great crust on the outside, tender and juicy inside. The lobster tail was buttery and tender, with just enough sweetness to balance out the richness of the steak. A classic surf-and-turf done right. For my side, I went with the cheesy au gratin potatoes. These were creamy, cheesy, and just the right amount of indulgent. The potatoes were thinly sliced, soft, and the top had a golden, slightly crispy cheese layer that tied it all together. Honestly, I could've eaten a whole dish of just these. To wrap it all up, I had the cheesecake for dessert. It was smooth, not too dense, and had that slight tang that makes a good cheesecake. I DO recommend Ruth Chris...but there is a but...Their happy hour menu is delectable w the little chicken, steak and cheese burgers, seared tuna, spicy shrimp and zucchini fries! But first, I NEED GOOD NEW ZEALAND SAUV BLANC WINE! I grew up here on many glasses of good ol Kim Crawford w my bff but a few years back, they went to only bottles and the by the glass Sauv Blanc ($15/glass I might add) from California, really??!?! I mean, doesn't everyone know the best Sauv Blanc grapes come from NZ? So now I have to buy a bottle, never a glass, and that is even if I'm lucky enough they have one from NZ! Ok, I guess my husband is right and I'm a wine snob. That being said...Margs are VERY GOOD. And honestly, there are some very good Pinot Noirs and other great wines aside from Sauv Blancs. AND the happy hour Pomegranate Martini...scrumptious! OTHERWISE... MEALS & SERVICE are mostly the best!. The Shrimp Cocktail or the Chilled Seafood Tower is an appetizer but a damn great meal! I hear steaks are awesome though I don't partake of the meat. My personal fav... Crab Cakes (ASK FOR THE REMOLAUDE SAUCE) and Caesar for my meal, OUTSTANDING! My wife and I went for their 4-6 pm happy hour. They serve discounted select food items and beverages in the bar. The Ruth's Chris in Tulsa is inside the River Spirit Casino, a massive property. Fortunately you can park in a garage and reach the restaurant fairly easily without even entering the casino floor. The restaurant is a large venue, with a spacious bar and large dining room. It's always a good idea to check and see if a show or concert is going on before making plans, as it's always popular ahead of events. We found two bar seats and started with the goat cheese and artichoke dip and my favorite, the seared tuna in a spicy mustard sauce. The dip comes with thin toasted bread which is perfect for the rich and creamy dip. The tuna is seared ever so slightly and accompanied by a small cucumber salad and pickled ginger. The spicy mustard sauce is just right and brings it all together. Two ice cold martinis (off special) were appropriately prepared even though they were out of our first choice vodka. We also had the cheeseburger and sliced filet sandwich, both on their happy hour menu as well. Fries came with both. The burger was a perfect medium rare, and I chose Swiss cheese. The sliced filet was medium rare and a decent portion for a sandwich. We tried a couple of the happy hour drinks - a raspberry cosmo and pomegranate martini. Both were tart with some sweetness and a nice change up from our straight dry martinis. The bar had 4-5 different servers moving about and each seemed to check on us or assist at some point during our time. Service was definitely prompt and friendly. The happy hour is a nice option if you can make the M-F 4-6 time slot work for you. We will be back for sure. read more

I think i may have been to hyped in the first place but to spend $500 dollars on dinner for four and feel like we were at a typical diner from a service stand point was disappointing. There's were two big groups there and there bar was full and we were in a corner that was not forgotten but, definitely an after thought. Especially watching the waiters and waitresses cater to the other tables. The food was delicious, and the drinks were lovely. Nothing to ride home about. Won't likely return. Porterhouse for two, ordered medium rare and it might have been mooing still, but edible. Loved the appetizer shrimp and crab cakes. Sides were just fine, nothing crazy great. Ok so first off nab yourself a crab cake for a starter... really a great size for an app where most places give you half that size and the flavor and cool was perfect! The Caesar salad wasn't anything that was over great but they put the right amount of Parmesan cheese and croutons. I'd still get this bc it was great! The steak is always under cooked but you finish cooking it on the 500 degree plate which I love! A little under seasoned on the meat but nothing a little table salt and pepper won't knock out. Great size and not quite melt in your mouth but pretty close. Kiddo loved the size, but he didn't get a kiddo steak. Oh and that pile of fries was his. They can make some fries! I wasn't a big fan of the potatoes so that was a let down but the bread pudding they made was seriously fresh and warm and even though awkwardly small, surprisingly filling and good. My partner, a friend, and I went to Ruth's Chris to try it for our first time as we were looking for a higher class restaurant with good food. To start, when we walked up to the hostess, we were treated rudely and told we needed to wait 15 minutes. Not a problem on the wait. Twenty minutes goes by so I check again with a different hostess as the one we first spoke to looked at me and turned away to go stand away from the counter. The second person we talked to was also rude, but they begrudgingly took us to a table... Upon sitting, we had three different people bring us waters, take our drink, and our food orders (odd). All three were rude to us. The drinks were fine, but we had to flag down people to get more water and never got a second round of drinks. The food was brought to us by another employee who was again rude to our table, and despite having ordered multiple appetizers and sides, we never received our full order. Eventually, we had to flag someone down to get our ticket and pay. Overall, incredibly rude service by all team members, and our $100 porterhouse was more like a $20 cut. The other food we received was okay. There were also TVs everywhere which made it feel like a sports bar, not a fine dining steakhouse. We will not pay for food here again, and we do not suggest others do either. read more

This was my first time here for my 37th birthday. My husband surprised me! Everything was amazing. Highly recommend the blue cheese encrusted sirloin- the chef even came out to compliment our selection which made us feel even special. I got the grey goose martini and him and old fashion. We had a reservation before the Earth, Wind and Fire concert at the casino. When we arrived we walked into a lobby full of people. Our reservation was for 1 hour and 15mins before the concert. We checked in and we're finally called 20mins after our reservation time. At this point, it's clear we will be late to the concert. We were seated and greeted by our server Erin. We ordered and got our salads pretty quickly. The food came out and my medium" petite filet was well done. This was also my birthday dinner. It's really too late at this point and I know I need food on my stomach because I've been drinking so after letting Erin know, I ate half of it. It tasted like well done steak. The shrimp were cooked perfectly though and my creamed spinach was awesome. The blueberry mojito was great and arrived quickly. I had some of my friends mashed potatoes and they were good as well. Pierce the manager came by and apologized and comped the steak so that was nice. He also knew from the reservation it was my birthday and let us know to come back after the concert to have dessert on them. Erin provided top notch service and Pierce as well. We ended up being 25 mins late to the concert. Between that and the well done steak this visits was a disappointment. We ate dinner on a Monday night and it was a great experience as you'd expect from a steakhouse with a long history of success across the country and beyond. The wait to be seated was only a few minutes and the hostess was very friendly. Our table service was impeccable from start to finish -as it should be when the dining room is not crowded and servers are not extremely busy. Our drinks were brought quickly and followed shortly by the crab stuffed mushrooms. They have a nice variety of steaks along with some other options should you for some reason not want a steak. You are at a steakhouse though so take advantage of this fact and indulge yourself with some Prime beef broiled to perfection and served in a 500 degree plate. The decor is amazing and you can't help but feel like you're in a special place with a nice bar area, numerous private rooms and cozy booths perfect for an intimate dinner with your special someone. This is a fine dining restaurant and if you're not comfortable spending some money on great food then eat elsewhere. I appreciate that the quality of the food has been maintained and the prices increased rather than serving sub par food to hold down prices. Whining about the cost and acting like you were tricked into spending more than you anticipated is just lame, the prices are not a secret. read more

I made a reservation for three at 6:30 pm on Friday February 7th, 2020. The night started out shaky. We arrived at River Spirit and had some difficulty finding parking, then arrived to a crowded waiting area and checked in at 6:20. We were told we would be seated very soon. Very soon was absolutely a relative term. We waited for over 30 minutes watching people who had later reservations and arriving after us get seated. I approached the desk and asked when we were going to be seated, and was told "very soon". But watched as he switched a ticket for seating with us; we had been forgotten. We were seated at a table located in the middle of a passageway. Lots of foot traffic by both patrons and servers. The person who seated us came by later and sprinkled confetti on the table for my wife's birthday, because it wasn't on the seating ticket(I did put it on the OpenTable reservation) At this point I was a little worried. Yippie! But then, our waitress began kicking it into high gear; and our night started to become magical. We ordered the small seafood tower, two filets, one petite ribeye, scalloped potatoes, and lobster Mac and Cheese. The seafood tower came out quickly and all the portions were cracked and ready for easy access. Outstanding taste and plentiful. Our meal was well paced and timed well. The steaks were perfectly cooked, juicy, and succulent. The sides were large and well prepared. Everyone had a wonderful time and the food was exquisite. They brought out a small complementary birthday cheesecake for my wife; and we ordered a bread pudding to share. OMG! You must try! We had heard really good things about Ruth's Chris and wanted to love it. Unfortunately we were so disappointed. We had a reservation for 7 and there was only one couple in the waiting area when we arrived. When we told the restaurant we had arrived for our reservation, they had us sit and wait for 20 minutes before going to our table. I ordered a filet with the truffle topping and it was very good. However, my husband ordered the ribeye at medium rare and it was very chewy and lacked any flavor other than the butter at the bottom of his plate. We also split sides of the lobster Mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes. We had heard good things about the Mac and cheese and we were very excited, however, the lobster was cold and crumbly and the noodles did not hold much flavor. The mashed potatoes were pretty good but nothing fantastic. The service was VERY good, and was one of the few redeeming qualities of our meal. I am terribly disappointed by my experience last night. I was there to celebrate my birthday. I was alone, which was hard enough, so I sat at the bar. It took 15 minutes to get a drink and almost 30 minutes before my dinner order was taken. While regulars and others around me were promptly greeted and served.
