One dip in the au jus and I understood the "Drip Beef" name! Wife's Philly melts in your mo nuth no dip needed. Onion rings are real. Dipped in batter and fried while you wait. The wife declared "Happy Belly" My complaint? I couldn't eat any more or I'd still be eating. The restaurant is super clean. Period. Even in the corners. As far as I'm concerned, 5 stars are not enough!!

The food was about a 5 out of 10 at best. The best part of the meal was the gyro meat, It was absolutely delicious but nothing else was that great. We are huge Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food lovers so I feel like we can give a pretty good review on this. The cabbage rolls were definitely different than last time. They were heavier on the rice and didn't have as much flavor. The grape leaves were not good at all. We actually ended up spitting them out, unfortunately. The hummus was really heavy on garlic, which we love garlic, but that's not usual for hummus. The tabouli was super heavy on parsley with little to no bulgar wheat. I'm hate to have to write a bad review on this place but compared to how it was a year ago, it really has changed. I heard they changed owners, but I can't be certain about it. I also have to say it wasn't the cleanest place and they didn't have any napkins out and a lot of the tables were dirty. I think the couple behind the counter were the only ones working so I can understand that they couldn't get to the tables quickly, but it also isn't the best look when you walk into a facility that isn't kept up very well. I will usually try a place a second time, but this one was bad enough that I don't think that I will.

Unfortunately, the quality of the service has declined significantly. During our most recent visit, our server rarely checked on us, and we waited over 30 minutes for a salad. We eventually had to ask the hostess if she could check on it for us. When our server finally brought the salad, she told us, "I thought you wanted your appetizer first, and I have another table, so someone else is going to take care of you." The interaction felt unnecessarily dismissive, particularly after we had already been waiting so long with very little attention or communication. To make matters worse, after the long wait and confusion, we were ultimately brought the wrong order. The second server who took over our table was much kinder and more attentive, which we appreciated, but by that point the overall experience had already been disappointing. It's unfortunate because we genuinely enjoyed coming here in the past and still think highly of the food, but the service during our recent visits has declined enough that we don't plan to return.

There are plenty of choices. We started with the artichoke dip with fresh veggies for GF. It was pretty tasty. I ordered the filet and mashed potatoes for my meal. I'll probably order seafood next time. So exciting that there are actual GF choices! We enjoyed the food but LOVED the staff. The hostess that took our reservation talked to me quite a while about gluten-free and wrote my allergies with our reservation. Our waiter was one of the best waiters we've ever had. They do have a helpful list of choices posted on a sticker on the display window, but you don't really notice it until you're right in front of it. Since it was my first time and I wasn't familiar with all the options, I decided to go with one of their curated bowls to keep things simple. I ordered the Chicken and Rice Bowl, and it was refreshing, flavorful, and really well balanced. The grilled chicken, tzatziki, hummus, feta, Persian cucumber, tomato and onion, pickled onion, and arugula all came together beautifully, and the Greek vinaigrette tied everything together perfectly. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and someone even checked in later to make sure everything was good. Despite the small menu navigation hiccup, the food and service made a great first impression. I've now downloaded the App so I can check out the menu closer.

Our waiter was Eli, who was perfect in his attentiveness, friendliness, knowledge and timing. This time we were seated on the outside of the center booths to the south. DO NOT accept seating here. It's in straight line with the kitchen -- too much traffic. Hubby ordered the catfish platter that he orders every time. I wasn't that hungry and asked Eli to help me choose a shrimp app. As a young guy he said, and so suggested, the Dynamite Shrimp as it was a better value. I added a dirty martini to my order. It was cold and refreshing. I was shocked when my shrimp was served. It was so. . .naked. As an app it would be nice for 4,6 people and certainly served with something; like bread. It's a little spicy. But think about eating nothing but spicy shrimp; shrimp after shrimp. It was my mistake but it's the way they serve it! It's like serving spinach artichoke dip with no chips or bread. Another guy came by to ask if everything was okay. His attitude was rude, but from him I ordered a house salad to have something fresh, something to break up that spicy shrimp. When I told him I needed an accompaniment, he said any side was available and they're on the menu. To which I replied I didn't have a menu. How rude, and stupid. We're in the middle of our meal, of course I ydidn't have a menu! I ordered ranch dressing, my mistake again. The dressing was so watery it left the lettuce swimming. Should have ordered blue cheese as we'd had before. Seems time has gotten to this Charleston's. Kinda tired. The old verve just isn't there. I used to go here quite a bit. Never a complaint. I always forget about money and it matters. This meal, without tip was $70.00. Guess I shouldn't have ordered that martini.
