They don't allow you to mix seafood with a side of sausage to equal a lb and qualify for sides you have to do 1 full lb of seafood to get 1 potato and 1 corn or order everything A La Carte! Pick your meat, sides, mix of seasonings and heat level and you're good! Unless of course you're not getting a boil. I've only had a boil so far. And it was amazing! I happened to get there not too long before they closed. I was with someone and didn't realize we were going to a place that was closing soon. The staff was so kind, they didn't rush us nor complain! And they gave us our food fast, fresh and without cutting any corners! I was extremely grateful for that! They were playing the fight and some sport games. So first of all, Im so glad we made reservations because although I knew it would be busy on Valentine's day I didn't expect to see a line way out the door. We showed up, waited 15 mins top to be seated and got serviced right away. Im sure it was to hurry to get us in and out and on to the next lol. Servers were quick and attentive. I went for dinner since it was close to the hotel I stayed at. The boil was wonderful. I got the crab and shrimp which was plentiful. I had the garlic sauce and asked for mild. This was a fun experience! I think they were between shifts and short handed when we arrived around 2:30pm on a Monday but eventually they got to our drink orders & again they came back for our food order once drinks were made and delivered. The fried shrimp basket & snow crab were our favorites! Also ordered crawfish & chicken tenders, onions rings & spicy cheese curds. The steamer bag experience was fun with the trash bucket, paper towels, shell cracker and everyone getting messy from hands to elbows. I think we will definitely be back but this time we will stick to the snow crab boil bags as the shrimp tasted a tad over cooked - but the fried shrimp basket was great as was the crab! They also have an awesome cocktail sauce with a bit of horseradish going on in it so it was popping with flavors! They had a great happy hour menu too with some weekday deals! We were excited to try this place since I am a huge seafood fan. We arrived at prime dinner time on a weekday, the restaurant appeared to be pretty slow. Our waitress was friendly and did a pretty good job, apart from a few minor things such as forgetting to bring silverware and plates, and water glass at the table were empty for a while a couple times, requiring to flag her down. She seemed pretty new but otherwise was very nice and promptly helped clean up a fruit punch spill from one of the kid in our group. We started with their Margaritas, not exceptional but decent for the price tag at $7 each. We also ordered a platter of raw oysters for appetizer. Unfortunately these were not to our taste, the oysters are huge, but didn't taste great. The real winner at this restaurant would be the seafood boils. We got the combo G with 1lb of Snow Crab, 1lb of Crawfish, 1 lb of Green Mussels, 1lb of Shrimp and potatoes and Sausage. You can pick different flavors and spice levels. We got the mixed flavor as recommended by our waitress with a medium spice. The combo was really good, although a bit more spice and flavor would have made it much better. Once, we asked for another pair of gloves and she said okay and then went and sat back down. Another very nice and friendly server got it for us. We have been coming here atleast once a year for several years now. We have ordered, picked up and ate at home several times as well. Today we came here to celebrate my sisters birthday. We were greeted with the most grumpy face. He didn't utter one word and threw our menus on the table. Our server seemed very irritated to be at work. Our food came quickly, which we were grateful for. As we were nearing the end of our meal my sister froze and told me to look at the wall. THERE WAS A COCKROACH IN MY FACE! The flavor was great and the heat wasn't overpowering. My mom got the fried shrimp basket with a unsweetened tea to drink and side of sweet potato fries with side of cocktail sauce and ketchup, my hubby got the catfish basket with crab bites for his side with a sweet tea to drink along with a side of tartar sauce, cocktail sauce and ketchup with a traditional French fry, and I got a combo basket with tilapia and fried shrimp, a traditional French fry, Dr Pepper to drink, and cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, and ketchup. I also got a side of fried pickles with ranch. Over all the food was excellent, the tartar sauce flavorful. The decor was nautical fun.(I would love to know where they go the port hole decor). If you were interested in watching a football game, they have TV's strategically placed for your viewing pleasure. I recommend this for a date night location, dinner out with the family, etc.... Lol We ordered Snow crab, Lobster Tail, and mushrooms in Garlic Butter. Also, Blue Crab, Shrimp, mushrooms in Garlic Sauce, with Medium heat. (I prefer spicy food) BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: The lobster tail. We love lobster like most people. Red Lobster has game compared to this. HOWEVER, everything else was absolutely delicious. Was my $80 bill (including an order of chicken nuggets with fries and tip) worth it? ABSOLUTELY. Every bite of potato, corn, broth, and spice was worth it.
