This was my first visit to Waterfront Grill and I brought my out of town guest. We got to sit out on the patio and enjoy the views. I had the Newport Beach Salad. It had greens, rotisserie chicken, bacon, Romano cheese, trail mix with a champagne vinaigrette. All the ingredients went well together. My guest both ordered the steak with a side baked potato. A few minutes after placing the order, the waitress came back and said that they were down to only one baked potato left. OK, no problem. One of them ordered the fries instead. A minute after that, the waitress came back and said I am so sorry, but we are completely out of baked potatoes. We had a good laugh about that. It happens. We're flexible. read more

First time here and we lucked out with the weather so we sat outside by the river. Such a nice setup and they let us pick our table since it wasn't too busy. We were seated right away and our waitress was super prompt, we never went thirsty. They only carry Pepsi products so I tried one of their seasonal cocktails instead and it was actually really good. My boyfriend got the Tillamook burger and I would come back just for that alone. I ordered the ribeye, a little fattier than I prefer but still really flavorful, and the mashed potatoes were perfect with it. We also tried a sushi roll and as someone who is picky about sushi, I was pleasantly surprised. They do have a lot of rolls with cream cheese which I'm not into, so this one was an ideal choice. It was fresh, a little spicy, and really well balanced. Service was quick, food came out fast, and eating by the river made it feel like a great easy dinner spot. Definitely coming back. read more

Made a reservation for Father's Day but they lost it and pretty much said oh well it is going to be a 30 minute wait and when we pushed back they said fine and sat 5 adults are a tiny 4 seater booth. We accepted that but when we sat down the dish that contained sugar packets was caked with dried food. When we went to the buffet, we pointed out the ac condensation was dripping over the food and they just shrugged their shoulders. While we were dealing with this we constantly heard people complaining about that they didn't know it was a buffet so they very clearly did not so a good communicating that it was a special menu for Father's Day. While we were eating the did the same thing (5 adults to a 4 seater both) but they got moved to a bigger booth that that was open the whole time we have been here. Our waiter was very nice and attentive but the over all management was very poor and unpleasant. read more

Went here on a Sunday evening and got sat right away. The service was so kind and SUPER quick. We sat right by the water and it was beautiful. The food was everything and more. I've wanted to eat here for years! We finally decided to try it for a late Saturday lunch. It was pretty empty inside. We got seated in the covered patio, which was too cold until the server turned on the heaters. It has the best views, but it's a pretty sad view of the river these days. I blame winter mainly. But the restaurant is gorgeous inside. The bar is massive. And the Christmas decor was still up and very pretty. Our food was definitely good, but for 2 lunch portion entrees (1 being a burger) and 1 beer, it was $50. Just not really worth it for lunch. I loved the jalapeno bacon mashed potatoes best of all. I would visit this restaurant again if like a friend group wanted to go, but i wouldn't choose it myself. read more

We met family for dinner here, the ambiance is great, modern and clean. We were seated and then moved due to a reservation mix up and our second table overlooked the river and was great. We had the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer and cocktails and everyone enjoyed them, the service was attentive and quick. Entrees were chicken fried chicken, fried shrimp both fine and three people had the Parmesan and pecan crusted flounder which was outstanding, the vegetable side was good, a little salty but crisp. I really wish sometimes for that half star bump. Waterfront merits a 3.5. For the outdoor area and the view, it's a 5. For friendliness upon arrival, the hostess stand could use some help (2). For food, it's probably a 3. We had a party of 6 and ate in the covered patio. Our server was nice but seemed overly taxed. Our table had the chicken tenders, burgers, and alfredo. One person ordered the lobster ravioli but sent it back. Not sure really what the issue was there. (They're kind of picky.) I can only speak to the alfredo...I'm very glad that I added the blackened chicken because the sauce was super bland. The chicken, however, was delicious. It was mid afternoon with few patrons lingering, The music suddenly was blaring and we had such a hard time visiting, I got they attention and asked if they could turn the music down the young women nodded but the music was never lowered. Stopped in after the aquarium and had a wonderful dining experience at Waterfront Grill. We were seated right away, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff was very friendly and attentive throughout the meal, making us feel welcome from the start. I came in with my toddler and appreciated that they seated me in a section without other patrons. Getting seated next to families trying to enjoy their meal while my toddler is a toddler gives me anxiety so seating me in an empty section was so appreciated The restaurant itself was spotless and had a relaxed, upscale vibe. I ordered the cold Caesar salad--it was absolutely amazing, crisp, fresh, and perfectly dressed. I also tried the pick-two sushi rolls and went with the tuna. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Overall, everything from the service to the food was great. Was perfect weather to sit outside and eat and not have to worry about sweating due to the heat. Staff was friendly, we walked in and were told we can pick a table we wanted for outdoor dining. Our waiter shortly came over afterwards and we asked for a drink menu as it was not given when we were first seated. There were some great drink selections from cocktails, beers, wine. The food menu had classic lunch and dinner options and also brunch for the weekends. I found it to be a bit on pricier side. I enjoyed what we ordered and could have enjoyed it more had I not been spending half my time fighting away the flies-downside of outdoor dining. Other than that Ill opt for indoor if I make a stop there again. read more

Wow! Just Wow! This was crazy because our plan of the day did not include picking this restaurant. The plan was for a burger but a coworker said we should try this place. He did not steer us wrong. As a matter of fact he suggested that we try the Chicken Fried Chicken. We were greeted and promptly seated. Our server Brittney greeted us and took our drink orders. I chose the Spinach Artichoke Dip as a starter. Amazing flavor great starter! The menu offered great selections and I was now poised to make a difficult choice. Ultimately my wife & I both decided to get the Chicken Fried Chicken. Typically that never happens but we were both pleased! Our server was incredible and she gave us some great suggestions for the next time we visited. Brittney was a down to earth person with a great personality and were glad to have her! We were staying close so thought we would give this place a try on NYE. We started off with the bacon wrapped shrimp & the calamari for appetizers. There were 4 shrimp on the plate and was pretty tasty. The calamari was really bland and the dipping sauces didn't make up for it. I ordered the center cut pork shop with the mashed potatoes. The pork chop flavor was ok but it was way overdone and thus very dry. The mashed potatoes weren't anything special by any means. My wife had the Caesar salad and she said that the dressing was definitely lacking flavor and quantity. All in all it was a let down and I doubt we will return. read more

The Waterfront Grill is a great spot to visit right off the River Walk in Jenks.. We were surprised how casual but upscale it was, and we were treated respectfully as patrons!! We walked in with no expectations, but they raised our spirits by giving us really great table service. We even had our kiddos, which gave us a good welcome feeling.. it is a kid friendly place. The menu is different, which offers some variety. This is a great pick of eats when you get through with a lengthy visit to the Jenks Aquarium. Let them raise your expectations!!! For our anniversary my husband and I tried a new restaurant for us on the 24th of June! We were celebrating our 35 year of marital bliss and thought we would splurge a little! We didn't really plan ahead, it was more like where do you want to eat after running some errands out south. It was a Monday, so we didn't need reservations, but I think on the weekends you would. We were hoping to get a seat by the river but they were mostly large party areas and it was just the two of us. For a Monday evening they were pretty busy. When we first sat down the tables near us were empty, but when we left everything was full. The food was so good! I had the chicken piccata and it was juice and full of flavor. My husband had one of their fish dinners, I cannot remember which one, but he loved it as well. And we got a chocolate dessert to top off the evening! The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, upscale vibes... but not too upscale where you feel the need to dress~ up. It's ok to go casually dressed. The staff welcomed us and were friendly. The dishes looked impressive, prices were fair. Everything we tried seemed to need more salt, but that's a very easy fix. Much better than over salting. The sushi was acceptable. Not as good as a sushi house, but still good. I think the lunch menu is a great deal. It starts at 11 and ends at 4 every day. I had the lunch sized portion of the Alfredo fettuccine. Presentation was very nice, tasted fresh, and I enjoyed it. The crème brûlée for dessert was very refreshing! Tasted very nicely... especially with the chocolate sauce. I noticed how put together the staff looked. They dressed very professionally. Pressed work uniforms, nicely tucked in. The waiter was very nice. I love iced tea and iced tea was freshly made. Waterfront is a popular weekend brunch spot! We dined in around 11am and were immediately seated at a booth in the middle of the restaurant. This area was quiet, cozy, and not too crowded. Our waitress brought waters and offered other drinks. The 3.50 mimosa's can't be beat! We had the monkey bread to start then each ordered our entrees. Everything was cooked great. Always on the search for new experiences, we YELPed "lunch on the water," and Waterfront was on the list. What a surprise! We have always turned left off of Riverside to get on the Creek Turnpike. This time we turned right and we were in Jenks! The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere, even more so at the bar. It was a Wednesday, so we chose the Lobster Ravioli (half-price that day=$11.50) and the Smoked Trout Dip. The lobster filling and the tomato basil cream sauce made a heavenly ravioli combination. We ate the Trout Dip with the ravioli. It was a great side dish with its cream cheese and capers. Waterfront Grill is close to our favorite hotel, so we will be back for more deliciousness! read more

The service was almost nonexistent. The waiter took our order and about 20 minutes later a different person who didn't identify themselves came by and asked what we ordered. After some time our food came. I ordered sushi and had to ask for soy sauce, chopsticks, etc. My wife's salmon had no discernible seasoning and the vegetables were overwhelmed by black pepper. No one ever came by to see if our meal was OK. No one filled the water glasses or other drinks. We had to ask about dessert and the water rattled off the choices after saying there is no dessert menu. We would have ordered from the bar but no drink menus and no one asked. The only fast, polite part was how quickly they took our payment and brought it back. The only part of the restaurant worth anything is the ambiance. Won't be coming again unless someone else pays and I'd have to think about it. read more

The service was slow. That being said, we were there with a club. The room wasn't ready at the designated time. Some of us waited at the bar and ordered drinks. Others just hung out in the bar area. When they finally opened up the room, those who ordered drinks had to wait to tab out. That took longer than it should have. When Dan and I were tabbed out at the bar, and were able to go to the room, people were leaving and getting tables outside. It was confusing. We went with the people we knew the most. If the group had not split, it would have been easier for the server to take care of us all. At the same time, if they'd had the room ready at the right time, had been ready to take care of us when they opened the room, and had been able to tab out those of us who had ordered drinks, the group wouldn't have split. I heard that the room was cold and there was no one there to fix it or take care those in the room. Regardless of what the cause was, we had a long wait. It wasn't so bad for us because we had a party. We enjoyed conversation. If it had just been Dan and me or us and one other couple, we would have gone nuts. The servers were working hard and looked stressed. I try not to complain about restaurants being understaffed because they are having such difficulty finding employees. Regardless of the cause, service was very slow. It is what it is. I took some photos of the waterfront. I tried to get a reservation a month prior to Mother's Day. I called on 4 different occasions and was told reservations were not accepted. I would have to stand in line and wait. I get to the restaurant when the Mother's Day buffet started and they ask me if I have a reservation. Seriously! I said I tried but 4 different people told me no reservations were allowed. I asked to speak to a manager and he told me without a reservation it's an hour wait. I explained my frustration and he said there was nothing he could do and I should have tried again to make a reservation. The customer service sucks there and there are definitely better places to eat. I won't be back. Went to a better place and the customer service was outstanding. My wife and i decided to try this restaurant, based on a friend's recommendation. We arrived about 5:15 p.m. on a Friday evening. The place was mostly empty, presumably expecting to get crowded for dinner. We asked for a booth where we could see the Arkansas River, not necessarily next to a window, but where we could see the water. That was the allure of this restaurant. We were told that booths were available on weekends only to parties of four or more. What a rude policy! Obviously motivated by greed, to get the maximum diners seated. Had reservation for a week confirmed that they had it for 12. We were on the patio also as we were being seated it started raining (pouring). Ask if we could be seated inside and we would be willing to split up our party. He said the rain will pass soon and just give it a minute... I asked how are you going to seat us with 12 people with only 11 spots and no room for another chair. He looked at me and said Sorry!!! This was not the first time something like this has happened...but it will be the last time we will let it happen to our family!
