Delicious!!! The flavor is so good!!! Reasonably priced also. It's so difficult to find such good flavors about seafood in this area, but this place does get it. I love that you can eat and it can get messy but they give you gloves and bibs , absolutely good. I love it.

This was a fun experience! I think they were between shifts and short handed when we arrived around 2:30pm on a Monday but eventually they got to our drink orders & again they came back for our food order once drinks were made and delivered. The fried shrimp basket & snow crab were our favorites! Also ordered crawfish & chicken tenders, onions rings & spicy cheese curds. The steamer bag experience was fun with the trash bucket, paper towels, shell cracker and everyone getting messy from hands to elbows. I think we will definitely be back but this time we will stick to the snow crab boil bags as the shrimp tasted a tad over cooked - but the fried shrimp basket was great as was the crab! They also have an awesome cocktail sauce with a bit of horseradish going on in it so it was popping with flavors! They had a great happy hour menu too with some weekday deals! I took off one star due to the half deflated busted looking Jaws pool toy hanging from the ceiling. Lol Attention to detail in decor could improve...Also bathrooms needed attention with being out of toilet paper, dirty, etc.

We were excited to try this place since I am a huge seafood fan. We arrived at prime dinner time on a weekday, the restaurant appeared to be pretty slow. Our waitress was friendly and did a pretty good job, apart from a few minor things such as forgetting to bring silverware and plates, and water glass at the table were empty for a while a couple times, requiring to flag her down. She seemed pretty new but otherwise was very nice and promptly helped clean up a fruit punch spill from one of the kid in our group. We started with their Margaritas, not exceptional but decent for the price tag at $7 each. We also ordered a platter of raw oysters for appetizer. Unfortunately these were not to our taste, the oysters are huge, but didn't taste great. The real winner at this restaurant would be the seafood boils. We got the combo G with 1lb of Snow Crab, 1lb of Crawfish, 1 lb of Green Mussels, 1lb of Shrimp and potatoes and Sausage. You can pick different flavors and spice levels. We got the mixed flavor as recommended by our waitress with a medium spice. The combo was really good, although a bit more spice and flavor would have made it much better. We will definitely come back for the seafood boils, there's not much else comparable to Craving Crab in this area.

Bed service: don't know how to make drinks: customer service training is needed. The server with the pink shirt walked so fast we couldn't get an order in. Food is ok just not worth the bad service.

First, the calamari. Boring, chewy, no flavor. If it hadn't been for the dipping sauce there wouldn't have nothing to it at all. The breading was so bland. The boil was just ok. The lobster was tough. The shrimp was decent but nothing to shout about. Our server was on top of things, but it seemed like she was the only one doing anything. In then middle of dinner I was asked to get up so they could switch out the bench that was horribly cracked. Glad they replaced it, but I think it could've waited until after we left. Server 5/5. Food 3/5.

Combo E4 Crab legs and shrimp

Service was a little slow, but staff was very helpful and courteous. We had Combo E4, shrimp and crab legs with potatoes, sausage and corn in medium heat Cajun seasoning. Flavor was great and more than enough food for 2 people. Will definitely go back.

Great level of heat on boiled crab legs. The service was fast and convenient. Very close to the hotels so walking was nice.

Food was excellent! Got the snow crab. Garlic butter medium heat. Next time going to spend extra money on king crab.

I got mine delivered to my hotel, the cocktail sauce was okay but the shrimp was good to be delivered 30 minutes after it was done.

Kraken Killer Seafood was one of the biggest restaurant surprises I've had in years. I've driven past the place on 51st Street many times and never gave it much thought. My wife and I finally tried it Friday, and frankly I expected a decent, run-of-the-mill meal at today's increasingly painful restaurant prices. Boy, was I wrong. I had the Asian sausage with sticky rice for about $10 and a shrimp dish served over French fries with an Asian sauce. The shrimp were terrific--fried just enough to have a slight crunch while remaining tender and flavorful, and the sauce really worked. I'm a sausage lover, so I'm fairly hard to impress. Their Asian sausage was unlike any sausage I've had before, and it was delicious. The sticky rice was cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the fried cod with coleslaw for around $13. The portion was generous, the fish was good, and the coleslaw was excellent. And I am a coleslaw freak who rarely compliments somebody else's coleslaw. What impressed me most was the combination of quality, variety and price. I've had plenty of excellent restaurant meals, but usually at places where I expected excellence and paid accordingly. I did not expect this from Kraken, which made the experience that much better. The menu has enough variety that I want to go back and work my way through it. If the quality is this consistent across the menu, Kraken has found itself a regular customer. One warning: check the hours before you go. They have somewhat unusual hours and are closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. I've actually shown up more than once only to discover they were closed. Kraken Killer Seafood is a hidden gem. In an era when restaurant prices seem to go up every time you look at a menu, finding food this good at prices this reasonable was a genuinely pleasant surprise. We'll be back.

For my starter I ordered "Our Nice Little Salad" this beauty was crisp, fresh, and had tomatoes that popped in your mouth and bursted with flavor. The in-house croutons had that perfect buttery crunch, spiced pecans added a unique boldness and the homemade ranch was thick and creamy. I will say I had to ask three times for ranch. I just kept waiting. For our main courses we had the bone-in pork chop. Thick, juicy, and properly rested paired with red mashed potatoes.... Which were very good. The seasonal corn - was gone so quick! It was just so delicious. Ate that right up!! The shrimp scampi leaned heavily into garlic and butter in the best possible way. Shrimp were big, tender and juicy. Unfortunately my rotisserie chicken.... was very dry. I kept choking because of that. I was unable to eat it, that was disappointing. As far as atmosphere... very warm lighting, intimate feels, candle lit, steady energy, attentive staff. The dining room hums with laughter and happy customers... but without overtaking the conversation at our table. The volume was comfortable considering it was a full house.
