You can choose your protein from a list ie steak, lobster, chicken or shrimp. There are also many combinations to choose from. If I could give this place no stars I would. Nothing against the cook. The ambiance makes it seem worth trying, but the service was awful. The quality of the products he was working with were atrocious. Aside from the cook, it was the worst hibachi experience I have ever had. The salad dressing tasted like mayonnaise. The rest of the food was awful as well. The rice just tasted like soy sauce along with the noodles. The vegetables were all cabbage and again just tasted like soy sauce. The shrimp tasted rancid. New restaurant open for lunch 10:30 am-2:30 pm offering individual rolls pre-made on site or fried rice hibachi options, combined with a Mari Coffee coffee bar 7am-3pm. Roll offerings were limited to those that included crab, shrimp, tuna, spicy tuna, salmon and cream cheese (+ cucumber, etc). Roll did not have ginger or wasabi in container....maybe they were extra containers and I missed them. I had a dragon roll, tuna, tempura shrimp, crab and cucumber and it was a good sized roll, fresh and delicious, priced at $13. Check out requested tip....brought total to $16+. I tried this for the first time with a group of friends. Overall it was OK but I still have to say shoguns is my number one favorite. It's hard not to compare but the soup was just good and the salad was not good mostly because of lettuce. The sushi was great I enjoyed that. The meat was OK the chicken was over sauced but the scallops were good. The fried rice and noodles was a nice touch but honestly you get a lot more fried rice at shoguns no noodles but the rice is better and you get more food overall. Yes you pay more at shoguns but it's still my number one for this style of food in Tulsa. Also, there are more combinations here and a lot of options it's a very large place and I love all the windows and the new south Tulsa location. I do encourage people trying it it's a great experience but you can get the best fish ever at shoguns and the overall experience including the chef and how they do what they do it's better at shoguns and worth the extra cost. read more

This is the worst place ever to go if you are trying to experience the hibachi grill. The ginger salad dressing had no taste, all you could taste was the water of the lettuce They up charge fried rice $1.75 Which by the way - the fried rice was already fried and they just warm it on the grill to add butter and eggs. And if you share a plate they charge you $7 You cannot taste anything - but just ask for more dressing and hope for taste. Lacking of sprouts and they serve you already cooked boiled spaghetti noodles? Like what?!! Never go here! Just don't do it! Visited for a seven year old's birthday. The restaurant was buzzing with families celebrating various events. While the staff was attentive, we did feel very rushed coming into the full hour of our visit. We ordered sake which came out piping hot, even to the touch, so maybe a bit too warm for our palettes. The sushi and the edamame were great appetizers. Unfortunately, the salad was brown and wilted which set the precedent for the hibachi meal ahead. The steak was mealy making us think it had previously been frozen. I did enjoy the scallops from the grill and was surprised that I would have preferred an all fish meal. I'm being nice by giving it a 1 star. To begin with the cook was very pushy about wanting us to engage.....like having egg pieces thrown into our mouths etc. I know this is all apart of "the hibachi experience", but when someone doesn't feel comfortable with something it shouldn't be pushed like it was and the chef rolling his eyes at you andin front of everyone making a "borrrring" sound. Honestly it seemed like he had just started this job, he was dropping the hibachi utensils on the grill which was loud and making everything uncomfortable, the fire seemed more than he could control. It was so high I actually thought it was about to melt the soy sauce lids... everyone was backing their chairs up quickly. Instead of being entertaining, it was actually uncomfortable. I did not care for the vegetables. They were very soggy and mushy totally overcooked. The way the meat was just thrown down and chopped wasn't attractive and the teriyaki sauce looks like Brown pudding that actually wiggled. The taste of it was horrible. I got the teriyaki chicken and it was smothered in it and I'm actually hoping the few bites that I did take...I won't be getting sick from it later tonight. I returned my food. I can't remember the last time I've ever had to even return food and explained it to the manager and showed her the teriyaki sauce, and she acted like she totally agrees with me and refunded my money easily. I gave it to stars because the manager was nice, and the restaurant was very, very clean and organized... but I also found out they just opened their doors and the building is new. read more

Best hibachi in Tulsa! I like it better than my favorite hibachi place in Dallas too. My husband and I purposely went at 4:30pm on a Saturday to avoid crowds and it worked well. The filet hibachi is phenomenal. We had the chef to ourselves, and it was so fun. He cooked the filet mignon to a perfect medium, then chopped it into perfect bite-size pieces. My husband also ordered chicken, and it was grilled with juicy flavor (I had to try it). It's cool they provide cantonese noodles in addition to rice and veggies with hibachi. I've never been to a hibachi place that serves these noodles. So yummy! The entire place is HUGE and clean. Drink service was very attentive, which was refreshing during these times where many restaurants struggle with staff. The staff members were fun and made a production about my husband's birthday...too funny! We did not receive a birthday treat, so do not expect it (which was fine with us...the food servings are plenty!!). It's a dish I've made at home when I wanted homemade fast food. For the price of a filet and chicken Habachi 47.00 was too much when there's no culinary prowess added to the cooking and flavor. The soup that comes out before the meal was lukewarm at best. The salad was bathed in ranch dressing. The meal itself was greasy, which, took any added flavors away. He was a bit swamped so it took a while to get to me, but he was nice and I didn't mind the wait. I will say that the experience isn't quite the same when ordering hibachi from the bar. My family and I really enjoy dining at Tokyo Garden! The food is always amazing, consistent, and they serve really large portions that we usually take home for leftovers! The staff is always so nice and accommodates dietary restrictions I have. We've ordered the sushi a few times and the fish really tastes fresh but my all time favorite are the hibachi dinners! The show is so fun to watch and our kids are easily entertained. I've seen a semi-private area in the back that could be a good place for a large group dinner/private event! Although, Our waiter Nathan was amazing!! He definitely made up for us having to wait so long for a chef. Food and flavor was amazing. The cook was funny and entertaining. I had the filet and lobster and it was fairly priced and the meat quality was superb. I'm a huge fan of their mustard sauce, and I loved how they gave garlic butter too!! Ugh so yummy, shrimp was big and juicy and their ginger dressing for their salad is bomb! I'm going back soon to take my mom soon, she'll love it. The only downside was it was pretty warm in there and with them having that many hot grills running off and on and it being 90-100 degrees outside they definitely need to update their cooling system or maybe simply turn it down some more for everyone's sake, customers and staff. Such a fun new place in south Tulsa! The hibachi experience is usually fun and this was no exception! Although this is their official opening day, everything could not have been more perfect! We had the filet hibachi and also the filet plus shrimp hibachi. This is so much food, when you add in the veggies, fried rice and pasta! Head on over and enjoy yourself! This was a delightful and delicious dining experience. *update* yesterday we were here for a party of ten! It's a great spot for a group, that's for sure! Food quality and service has been going downhill the last few times we've been here but tonight was the last straw. Relating to service, the hostess was nice. The chef wasn't friendly, had no personality at all, he barely engaged with anyone. Our checks were all wrong and had to be rearranged. Last time we came here we were charged a "large party" gratuity fee of 20% for being a "party of 8". This time we had 7 people and were still charged the large party fee and when asking about it they said it's for "parties of 6". So honestly they probably just tack it onto to whatever party size you have.... Which may explain the lack of service and engagement. As far as the food goes, it was a 2/10. The filet mignon steaks were clearly not filet mignon, was very fatty and tough, the meat was gray when brought out, cooked poorly and had a nasty flavor. The shrimp was very tough. The noodles tasted like straight oil. The flavors were either way too much soy sauce or no flavor. They have also decreased their portion sizes. So, you are paying more for less food, the experience is not pleasant, and the food is not good. Time to go back to Osakas. read more

This hibachi style restaurant has plenty of space to spread out among guests, phenomenal chefs who are friendly and entertaining, and a full menu of anything anyone could want. My group went for sushi and hibachi grill options: I got the salmon and steak with fried rice, and our friends got a 5 meat entree with lo Mein. It was a lovely time, and we had the table all to ourselves. We arrived right at 5:00pm on a Sunday so there was no wait time as the dinner rush happens just after that. My wife loves Japanese hibachi, I find it good. However, we had a "hankerin'" for it today. Searched for one, found this one near where we were shopping and decided to try. Great decision! We were seated promptly, server was right on the drink order and the great experience began. The hibachi chef was conversant and understood that overcooked anything is horrible. He asked our preferences and delivered. Food was very tasty and portion perfect. The chef had a few knife and spatula tricks and the jokes were few and not stupid. I highly recommend the lobster and calamari combo, my wife thought the lobster and filet minion was better. I would order either. Our table mates said their sushi appetizer was very well prepared. First off- the service has always been great & consistent since grand opening! And the food is exceptional. I personally love sashimi and the quality of the sushi has been fresh every time! Their hibachi is tasty and the quality of the meats of your choosing that goes with the hibachi is also fantastic. I've tried many places for sushi and hibachi alike and sometimes you run into inconsistent quality in taste and texture of the food you order. Not here. The filet mignon here-OMG!!
