    Steak hibachi & Tulsa roll
    Miranda H.

Great hibachi! The flavor on the steak is next level. The sushi really isn't for me--waaaay too loaded with sauce. Great concept for a food truck.

Not goona lie, James is pumped that Tulsa FINALLY has good Japanese style food coming off a foodtruck! Heard about thsi spot a couple of days ago and couldn't wait to head over to 61st and Mingo to see what was up. This place is connected to the Kagumi in Tahlequah so if you think you've heard of them before you might have. Anyway this trailer offers both hibachi and sushi. I ended up ordering 4 hibachi entrees, a sushi roll, and an order of chicken dumplings for my granddaughter. I called it in and by the time I got there for pickup it was just about done. Guy running the trailer was very nice and even comped me an order of crab rangoons for the decent sized order. Got the food home and I was pleasantly surprised by not just the taste but the portion size as well. I have eaten hibachi and sushi off trucks out in Cali, but now I have a great place in Tulsa to go and grab some quality Japanese style food on the way home from work. Hours are currently 11am - 8pm. They located in the gravel lot right next to Rocket Bros coffee.

Three of us went to Osaka for lunch today. It was the first time my wife and I had been there but…read morethe third in our group had been there before. Upon entering the main entrance and getting our buzzer for a 5 to 10 minute wait, I was horrified when I looked up at the ceiling lights and noticed that the tops of the light shades apparently have not been cleaned any time in the last decade. They were disgusting. I then went into the men's bathroom to wash my hands and there were paper towels all over the floor and it just had a smell that I found quite unappealing. Not the cleanest bathroom I've ever been in, that's for sure. After that shaky start we were seated at a Hibachi table and waited a few minutes for a few more people to be seated at that same table. Menus were delivered by an efficient server, drink orders were taken and delivered fairly quickly. Our hibachi chef was quite personable and had a funny attitude. When I told him that this was our first time there and that I expected him to put on quite a show he replied that this was his first day. It was a joke. He then proceeded to dazzle us with his handy work with a knife and spatula. It was quite amazing. I particularly enjoyed the onion volcano. I ordered teriyaki steak as a lunch special and it was only about $12. It was cooked perfectly medium rare as I had requested. With everything you get with that including fried rice, vegetables (mushrooms, zuchinni, onions), bean sprouts and a nice salad with an orange ginger dressing that was amazing, I'd have to say it was one of the best values in a restaurant I've had in a long time. I actually can't wait to go back because it was entertaining, the food was delicious and it's a unique experience. What absolutely needs to be improved is the cleanliness of the entranceway and the bathrooms. If I hadn't been so hungry I might've turned around and left before even experiencing the food due to the initial impression.

Service staff literally dropped the plates on the table. Friendly, but seemed annoyed or frustrated. Well decorated and clean tables. Not too noisy! Enjoyed the monitor that showed how the various rolls looked. Overall we were very happy with the meal. We'll have to come back to try the Hibachi tables.

I did get the American Honey roll as well which I've had before but unfortunately, I did it as takeout and I think it made it not as good or maybe they just didn't fry it long enough, but it just wasn't as good as it normally is.

The bill could have been under $20 without a hidden fee (possibly credit card fee). What's more amazing about Kofu is it's also on the list of restaurants on cash back apps for additional discounts. Their mushroom soup was only $2 and it tasted delicious. The Kani salad was only $4.50 and also delicious. The tuna & mango roll was large and only $11.50. They initially charged me $12.50 but I got them to lower it to $11.50 since that was the price on the menu. I felt bad for doing it since that roll definitely was worth more than $12.50. For that price, the roll tasted amazing. Now, just to be clear I did not say that it was the best. This restaurant is far from being considered fancy. There are only 9 tables or so in the entire restaurant's lobby. The building looks old and has signs of being worn out. But giving how the food tasted for the cheapest price in Tulsa, I would highly recommend. In fact it's going to be on my list of best Asian restaurants near Tulsa. I will definitely be back. I am hoping they won't update their prices on the menu.

The server/host did a great job of being super friendly and talkative along with making sure we were well informed on the menu and hearing we made good choices on our food selections. We ordered the stuffed jalapeños - which if you go, You must get!! For rolls we got 1. Tulsa Roll 2. Fire Dragon Roll 3. Tornado Roll (fried) All were so tasty, each in their own way. We were super impressed all around and will be back. I can't stop thinking about the stuffed jalapeños

Speaking of flavor, I'm sure the special blended soy sauce played a major part. On top of that, there's chili sauce at the table & that right there has a Shawn Michaels super kick to it. With the bowl being full of chicken along with the other components like fish cake, seaweed, bamboo shoots, green onion & a soft boiled egg (that's also flavored)... it's not even an overload. It's flavor on top of flavor on top of flavor. I couldn't even finish it & took it to-go. My waitress was super nice & the wait on my food didn't take long (they had a mini lunch rush when I got here). Outside of ramen, there's so much to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for ramen, sushi, bowls, etc... this is your spot. I was having a headache & really needed some food to help get rid of it (I was also in the area). Ramen usually does the trick & it prevailed as I started feeling better. Oishi came in the clutch.
