Great lunch spot in Napa. Loved that the menu isn't overwhelming but still had plenty of options to choose from. I went with the pork sandwich and found it super tasty and filling. Burrata and calamari appetizers were great choices as well. Service is quick and friendly. Would love to come back again.

Wonderful place for brunch. There was a variety of breakfast dishes and lunch. The family enjoyed the French toast, calamari, roasted red pepper soup, chilaquiles, scramble, eggs Benedict, and so much more. Everything had so much flavor and presented very beautifully. The service was amazing from the hostess to the servers we were welcomed with a smile and taken care of. The patio area was so lovely and airy... you felt like you are in a secret garden. Will definite be back.

Celadon is always great! Never had dinner here before but it was good. The menu is small but good. We started with the calamari. It was ok. The salmon with couscous and the primavera pasta were healthy choices. Simple. The sticky ribs were incredible with the best garlic fries. The wild mushroom risotto was also amazing and full of flavor. Creamy with the rice perfectly cooked.

I was skeptical that this place was going to be memorable, but it was very good! The walkway into the restaurant is lush and has beautiful foliage. The interior is ok - seems a little older and less interesting than the outside. I was there for a private dinner - the food was mostly very good. Standout items included: Pork belly lettuce cups Calamari (the glaze totally makes it) Truffled risotto (strong truffle flavor!) The roasted half chicken with gnocchi (Super tender and I know roast chicken doesn't sound like much, but this one was VERY good) Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would come back!

Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Portion to Price: 3/5 Overall: The food was good and had a great ambiance The extended review... Food: 3/5 - Had the carpaccio, brussels, and the pork chop. All were pretty standard fare. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 4/5 - A lovely setting in their rustic indoor patio. Portion to Price: 3/5 - A little on the pricy side but I mean we are talking about Napa.

We had a reservation here but it took about 20 minutes for our table to be ready for a group of five. The restaurant has an indoor/outdoor feel which was unexpected- make sure you bring a sweater. It was a little sleepy here- my friend actually fell asleep at the table lol. The food was ok- my chicken piccata was wayyyy too salty. I love salt and I could barely eat it. My friends enjoyed their meals ok- especially the lamb shank. The seafood pasta and sticky ribs were just average. Undecided if I would visit again...

The ambiance was great from the minute you walk into the beautiful plant array and into the restaurant. The service 5 star + AND the food Moroccan Lamb Shank and the Pork Tenderloin cooked to perfection. Melon and prosciutto was very tasty along with the bread and olive oil. Perfect evening celebrating my wife's 77th birthday finishing up with a wonderful lemon meringue pie and Crème brûlée. Will be back. You get what you pay for. Excellence. Thank you J&E Vacaville

Food was delicious. In my opinion, menu was simple but catered to every palette. Service was exceptional and they didnt mind with food alternatives and alterations. Ps. They don't do separate checks, but did offer to split cards from the total check. I recommend bringing cash for big groups. Ambiance is beautiful, perfect spot for a brunch on the weekend.

Made reservations for brunch with a friend. Arrived on time and it was pretty empty so we got to choose are seats. Nice indoor type of patio dining which was very nice. Service was really good for the most part. My biggest complaint is food. I ordered the chicken sandwich which the chicken was completely burnt and over done. I couldn't even eat it because it was so hard. I did tell our waiter but nothing was done. I couldn't eat the sandwich so I only ate the fries. I tried the pancakes which tasted good. I wouldn't be back as long as the chef is cooking fried chicken this way. There are way too many restaurants in Napa to choose from.

What a fabulous evening and such a treat to dine at Celadon on a bustling Friday evening. Here for a special wine event with my family, there were a few other restaurant buy outs that evening as well. So wonderful to see a space and place so alive and vibrant early evening. Our party was seated in the back of the restaurant with easy access through the side door. We took a tour of the restaurant shortly after arrival and there's another beautiful and (huge) room with open spacing for larger parties/events. There's only one restroom inside the restaurant past the bar area (to note, wonderful drinks). After getting a code there are more restrooms outside, fyi! The food was superb and very on par for dining in Napa Valley. Celadon is located on Main Street, so not too bad for travelers from the East Bay. The passed appetizer were delicious ~ spicy calamari, apple/cheese crostini, and chicken lettuce cups. We had a curated menu to pair with specific wines for an event, so not sure if some of these items are typically on the main menu. We then had a choice of starter, main, and dessert. I chose the beet salad, the Moroccan Braised Lamb Shank (with golden raisin and toasted almond couscous), and the bread pudding. The way the meat pulled off the bone so delicate and juicy..perfection. We also had a pasta course that paired with one of the wines I noticed was on the menu ~ the fusilli pasta with bolognese sauce. Hearty, comforting, and so flavorful. My husband ordered the Grilled Allen Brothers New York Steak and for me, the scalloped potato accompaniment stole the show..so rich and decadent, yum! Honestly all in all, the spot is so special and quite the Napa to-do. We felt honored to have been invited to such a well executed event to this spot that we may have not been able to try otherwise. Wonderful staff in such beautiful digs. Dreaming about that lamb shank, highly recommend if looking for a night out in celebration.

We sat is a cute outside area since there was a party inside. There was no issues with temperature. It was comfortable. The food was good and they comp the dessert because the table next to us was extra load. This was totally unexpected and very nice of them. The service was good and we will be back.

This place is definitely a vibe! I came to Napa like everyone else to have good wine and good food. This place is definitely it!! We made reservations ahead of time as we were told it can get busy at times. The place was nice and quiet with a farmhouse rustic touch but nothing short of elegant. A friend and I ordered the sangria for cocktails and it was one of the best sangrias I've had! the pork loin with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts and topped off with bacon. I got the Marsala sauce on the side and it was heavenly!! The pork loin was tender and cooked to perfection, the mashed potatoes were creamy and the Brussels had the perfect roast and perfect amount of crunch. The bacon was a great touch as well. The food was delicious and I'll definitely come back to try other dishes or order the pork loin again!

Dinner itself was great. Service service was a bit spotty as they had a large event in one section and I think they were a bit understaffed in the area where we were eating. You could see all of the employees really hustling and trying their best. My scallops (nightly soecial) and his lamb shank were good. The sweet coconut fried prawns were good.

    Is the restaurant dog friendly?

On the patio. Service dogs are welcome inside as well as on the patio.

Do they have a corkage fee?

    Yes $20

Is it okay to walk in this coming Saturday 2/13/21 or do we need to have a reservation for 2 adults and 1 child?

You definitely need a reservation. Celadon has one of the best outdoor patios in downtown Napa. So, it's a favorite for many!

Is this a good restaurant for an anniversary dinner?

Yes! This would be the perfect spot. Food is phenomenal and very cool atmosphere. My sister and I sat in the back pathway area that was botanically covered. Cool scenery and great food.

    Is reservation needed?

Not unless they are busy, but you can make reservations on opentable so it's very convenient

Service was great and our waitstaff were incredibly kind and attentive. I shared the empanada for an appetizer, and it was so delicious! The chimichurri was amazing and it was one of the best empanadas Ive had :) I do wish we got two for the price ($12), but I'm glad I tried it. For my main, I ordered the chilaquiles since I have been craving them. They're not your typical salsa verde chilaquiles, esp w the scrambled egg and lack of salsa verde, but they're still great! I think I prefer a fried egg for my chilaquiles instead of scrambled, but if you are into scrambled eggs and ham, this would be a good option. Overall would come back if I'm in the area! And when it finally did arrive, our food was cold, which was disappointing after waiting that long. The bigger issue came when we paid our tab. Our waiter was able to split the bill into three, which we appreciated. One of my friends offered to cover the tip for the entire table on her portion of the bill. The waiter immediately told us that if she did that, the tip would only apply to the portion of the bill she was paying. I understand where the waiter was coming from, but I don't think the waiter understood what we were trying to do -- my friend was offering to cover the tip for the entire table, not just her portion. As each of us paid, the waiter watched us select our tip amount and repeatedly reminded us that we each needed to leave a tip. I understand wanting to make sure a tip is included, but the way it was handled made the situation feel uncomfortable and pressured. I've been to Gracie's Table multiple times and have always enjoyed coming here, so this was disappointing and definitely not my usual experience. Hopefully this was just a one-off, because I've had much better experiences here in the past.

Bay Area and had heard plenty of positive reviews, so we were genuinely excited to finally try it. One thoughtful touch is that La Cheve provides umbrellas for guests waiting in line, which is especially appreciated when you're standing outside under the sun. It's a small gesture, but one that shows the restaurant has put some thought into making the waiting experience a little more comfortable. They also offer the option to order coffee through a QR code while waiting in line. I ordered a large black coffee, while my partner ordered a café con leche. Unfortunately, it took about 25 minutes for the drinks to be ready. When we picked them up, the café con leche was served in the same large cup as my coffee--but it was only half full, with roughly a quarter cup of coffee and another quarter consisting of foam. It felt odd drinking from a large half-full cup. Once we reached the counter, though, we were greeted with a warm smile, which was appreciated. We ordered the chilaquiles with an addition of Al Pastor meat, the asada and eggs, the concha French toast, a cronut, the house lager, and a local craft beer. it took approximately an hour and a half from the time we got in line until we were finally seated. By that point, we were more than ready to eat, and despite the long wait, we were still excited to see what the kitchen could do. Unfortunately, that excitement faded quickly once the food arrived. The concha French toast was a big disappointment. The menu description had immediately caught our attention, and we expected something that combined the richness and texture of French toast with the distinctive character of a concha. Instead, we received four small, shortcake-style pieces of bread that were dry and didn't particularly resemble either French toast or a concha. There was no noticeable cinnamon-egg batter, nor any powdered sugar. The dish was served with fresh berries and a side of cajeta ( a craft caramel sauce). The caramel itself was delicious, but it wasn't enough to make up for the lackluster bread. The chilaquiles were the biggest disappointment, and unfortunately, this dish had several execution issues altogether. The tortilla chips were soggy, lacking the texture you'd expect from well-executed chilaquiles. I also ordered the dish with Al Pastor meat, hoping to get a taste of the restaurant's house adobo. Instead, what arrived was a measly portion of tiny pieces and crumbs of meat that appeared to be mostly the remnants from the bottom of the pan. Then there was the oil. There was an excessive amount of it-- so much that a pool had collected in one corner of the plate (see picture below). I actually had to ask the server for extra paper napkins so I could soak up the oil. It was difficult to appreciate the pastor's seasoning or adobo from the oily portion that I was served. The eggs were another example of inconsistency with this plate. I specifically ordered them over medium, expecting set whites with a warm, runny yolk. Instead, the eggs were cooked very unevenly. One was noticeably overcooked, while the other was so thoroughly cooked that the yolk had essentially been obliterated. For a dish that relies on relatively simple ingredients, getting something as fundamental as the eggs right should be a given. My partner's asada and eggs wasn't terrible, per say. However, the dish consisted primarily of bell peppers, a blob of melted cheese, and some asada meat-- the kind you get with regular asada tacos. On the other hand, the biscuits that accompanied the dish, were a genuine highlight. We particularly enjoyed the jalapeño and cheese filling, which gave them a nice savory kick. Thankfully, the bakery items and beer showed us where La Cheve really shines. The house lager was crisp, refreshing, and very enjoyable, while the cronut was downright scrumptious. These were the kinds of items that reminded us why we had been so excited to visit in the first place. Ultimately, La Cheve feels like a restaurant with two very different personalities. The bakery side is impressive, while the savory kitchen needs considerably more attention to execution and consistency. If I were judging the bakery alone, I'd happily give it around 4.5 stars The cronut, biscuits, caramel, and house beer all showed plenty of promise. But the brunch dishes need work--particularly when it comes to texture, portioning, cooking temperatures, and consistency. We came in eager to understand what had generated so much enthusiasm for La Cheve. There are certainly some very good things happening here, and thoughtful touches like the umbrellas for guests waiting in line make a difference. But based on our visit, the kitchen still has some significant kinks to work out before the savory menu matches the promise of the bakery.

Unfortunately, on this visit, the service never quite caught up with the food. We stopped in for a business breakfast and waited longer than expected simply to be acknowledged, despite plenty of open tables. Once greeted, our waiter promised us a "great seat," then somewhat puzzlingly placed us at a table directly beside the front door. With much of the dining room available, it was an odd choice for two people settling in for a business conversation. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with breakfast potatoes, orange juice, and coffee. The juice arrived, followed by the meal, but the coffee apparently decided to sleep in. I eventually had to ask for it. Fortunately, the Benedict was the highlight. The eggs were nicely prepared, the Canadian bacon flavorful, and the English muffin had just the right crispness underneath. The hollandaise was smooth and pleasantly tangy, with a subtle touch of lemon that brightened the entire dish. My only request: be a little more generous with it. A good Benedict deserves enough hollandaise to cascade over the edges of the English muffin and leave a little behind for that final bite, or two, to drag through the sauce. The potatoes had decent seasoning and plenty of flavor, but the texture fell short. They were quite soft, without the crisp, golden exterior that would have taken them from ordinary to memorable. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. After seating us, our waiter essentially disappeared. There was no check-back after the food arrived, no water or coffee refill, and no inquiry as to whether we needed anything else. At the end of the meal, I had to flag him down for the check and then again to pay it. Attentive service doesn't need to be intrusive, but it does need to be present. Petit Soleil has a lot going for it, and the Benedict demonstrated that the kitchen can deliver. But in Napa, where hospitality is every bit as important as what lands on the plate, good food deserves service to match. On this morning, the Benedict showed up. The hospitality didn't.

I remember it tasting just slightly better than a normal English muffin. Well, I don't know what happened between that and now, but I had a totally different experience this time. We just ordered a pack of 6 to go (steep at $14 but absolutely worth it). Got home, made our own breakfast sandwiches. Wow. They are so incredibly buttery, soft/fluffy, just delicious and addicting. They don't taste like the English muffins you're used to, because they're not. I think it's a fermented focaccia dough fried in clarified butter. So it's like a focaccia donut English muffin hybrid. And so what? They improved the standard English muffin, what's wrong with that? I was really never a big fan of English muffins anyway. Model Bakery has unfortunately made me an English muffin snob I guess. It totally lived up to the hype. If you're going to eat it there, I'd honestly recommend getting a plain English muffin, or if they do it with jam or butter do that. Or just take them home like we did (or both!).

I had some of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had here, just wow. All the pastries I tried…read morehere were great as well! I tried both their original and their breakfast sausage sandwiches and both were so delicious. Both come in their famous English muffins which felt more like a brioche or donut. They were warm, buttery, and were crispy. The original sandwich had tasty Canadian bacon, custardy eggs and were cheesy. My favorite though was the sausage breakfast which also had custardy eggs, meaty sausage, cheesiness and their spicy chipotle aioli. So good! Both were warm, ooey, gooey, and indulgent. Ordering was relatively easy and they call you for pickup when your order is ready. It does take some time though. I went on a Saturday morning and it took me 20-30 minutes to receive my order, but it was so worth it. I also like how they have day old pastry bags for $3 which is such a steal! Parking is street parking and there are some free spots nearby. I would highly recommend this spot for a nice breakfast in Napa!
