My dermatologist essentially forced me to use this pharmacy and transmitted my prescriptions here against my ask, but she guaranteed me that their same day delivery would keep things easy, so I acquiesced. A few hours after my appointment, I called Cedra Pharmacy to confirm my prescriptions and get them delivered. I assumed that a pharmacy that takes and delivers so many prescriptions would have quick and easy phone customer service - especially since they have no way of doing it online (unlike other pharmacies.) Unfortunately, the customer service was abysmal. After a 10-minute wait to talk to someone, the person I spoke with was unorganized and vague on details (including me having to prompt her on when I would get my meds delivered.) She failed to confirm that she saved my payment details and ended up calling me back 10 minutes later to ask for them again. When she called me back, it was so loud in the background at the pharmacy that she had to ask me 3X to repeat the number before asking the people around her to be quiet. I was expecting my meds to be delivered the next day (as I had been told) and I called the pharmacy 2X after the delivery window and my meds had not been delivered yet. It took the person at the pharmacy a while to realize that my meds had been SHIPPED instead, so now they're arriving 3 days after my scrip was submitted. I live across the street from a Duane Reade, so this entire exercise has been irritating and futile. read more

One of the pharmacists, Suzy, went to bat for me today going back-and-forth and back-and-forth with my insurance, then with the coupon ppl (was a super expensive Rx), called me back several times and MADE SURE I got the help I needed. Cedra is a life saver. The staff is very nice and cordial. We've been looking for at-home rapid COVID tests all over for weeks and haven't been able to find any. My wife and I walked by at 8:55am (they open M-F at 9am), and saw their sign that says they have a limited supply of tests. We waited a few minutes outside behind one other customer, who was also here for tests. The pharmacist let us know they had received a large shipment and there no max on how many tests we could buy. We ended up getting 2 boxes (24 tests). These are super important right now giving the state of the pandemic, and the fact what our toddler isn't eligible for the vaccine. We need to be able to test him without waiting in a line at any particular location. The pharmacy is pretty large and was very clean. I will be coming back here for other items in the future. read more

Updated Review: I wouldn't risk my prescriptions to this pharmacy for anything -- even if they were the last pharmacy on earth and I needed my medication to survive. The staff are so busy texting friends on their personal phones while working on customers prescriptions it leaves one to fear the staff is doing something they shouldn't be doing. What pharmacist is allowed not ONE but TWO personal phones next to patient records. (see photo) Also -- customers can walk up to the pharmacy and since Cedra wants full transparency in business, the view of the customer is that of anyone's medical records and information being shared with the world. The staff grew angry when I mentioned this to them and they harshly barked that this was for transparency and it wasn't my business what happened to someone else's prescriptions. (see photo) I hope that the review board for licensing for pharmacies in New York shuts them down The staff needs a tune up on manners and etiquette -- I guess all the people who fill their prescriptions here are crass, vulgar and rude since a civilized person would do what I did, ask for my insurance card back and walk out. *********************************** Original Review: The store is spotless for now -- but it just opened. It has very limited merchandise. The pharmacy takes most insurance companies, and is closed on Sunday. That is a tough call for most customers to be so confined to Monday through Saturday only. There is a beverage bar inside this location (see photos) with cleansing mixes -- and while I can understand why someone would spend $6 - $20 on a beverage that promotes health -- I don't understand why that same person wouldn't just purchase their own juicer and make such elixirs for less than $1 a serving. But that is me. I didn't enjoy the samples I was given, and the mixtures tasted off. The worst part about being given a sample of the elixir line, was that when I asked what was in the mix, the clerk just said "It's a healthy mix of fruits and veggies I think" .. Um, yeah -- 'he thinks?' .. hasn't the store manager heard of Food Allergies? Would I suggest the juice bar to friends based on this experience? No way. The store overall is very pricey and while I love one or two products sold there and use those products, but they are far less elsewhere in NYC. I know that I will be back once in a while - but this isn't a place customers go to for that one or two items in a fix - it might be my last resort shop at place. read more

My dermatologist--the Dermatology Specialists in Greenpoint--forced me to use this pharmacy and prescribed me a drug that was knowingly not covered by my plan. It is extremely expensive and they refused to take my HSA. At my appointment, my Dr. literally asked the nurse what insurance I had before prescribing something, so it's like she knew exactly what she was doing. They told me it wasn't available at regular pharmacies and had to go to Cedra--I asked if they took my insurance and they said they should and would let me know if there was a copay. The pharmacy called me, told me it would've been $300 but because it's from the Derm Specs, it would be $80. They refused to take my HSA. I called my insurance to make sure Cedra actually called them, and they did, but they didn't give me a generic version which would've been covered by my plan--which is what they and/or the Dr. should've done to begin with. Basically, it's a weird organization in partnership with Drs. like The Dermatology Specialists who just want to profit off patients who need care. I ended up telling them to put the drug back on the shelf and thankfully never paid for it, but obviously that means I never even got a prescription for the issue I can to see a Dr. for in the first place. So, if your Dr. sent something to Cedra, major red flag and you should insist on getting your prescriptions sent to your regular pharmacy. read more

My dermatologist is in a contract with this pharmacy and as a result I'm required to get my scripts filled and delivered by them. They arrived in multiple batches over multiple phone calls. I had to leave meeting and my medication smelled like cigarettes. Recommend avoiding if possible. read more

Used Cedra to fill my prescription after my doctor recommended them. Extremely impressed by the service. Shortly after my appointment I received a call from Cedra. I wasn't available to speak but they were helpful in leaving a message and messaging me on the Klara system so I could get back to them at my leisure. I reached out to them and scheduled delivery to my office since I do not have a doorman. I received my prescription at my office by mid afternoon that day. Cannot be happier with the service and beats waiting in line at Duane Reade!! read more

Very nice place. I really like the staff. The smoothies are fantastic. And all the inventory is really great. The one thing that I would suggest to the owners is change your front door! For some reason, as I walked past, the door does not feel inviting to me... So I often just walk past. I keep walking. And once I get inside, it looks to me that if you made the doors into glass doors, it would be so incredibly inviting. I bet your business would improve a lot! Good luck to you! read more

Cedra Pharmacy is one of the best pharmacies in NYC. Even though i live in Queens i still order my medications from the Manhattan location, because they offer free delivery and shipping for free throughout the 5 boroughs. The staff is great, very helpful and overqualified pharmacist. They work on prior authorizations and always provide great prices. read more

I love this pharmacy! I found them online after searching for a pharmacy that carried my particular medication that was backordered for months through the regular chains like Walgreen's, CVS, etc. Not only were they kind and courteous, but they were very quick to fill my prescription. I was able to pick up my medication the same day! I also love picking up my medication because cedra carries such great beauty products and little fun household or phone accessories. Cedra is an amazing pharmacy. I am able to get my prescriptions quickly and easily. They have a texting service and I request my refills online. I'm able to get delivery the next day. I didn't understand why my doctor worked with them at first and now I'd never go back! read more

I've been using Cedra for a couple of years now and they've been incredibly inconsistent with their service. Half of my deliveries have not arrived on the date that they confirmed which is a major issue when you're dealing with medication that you need to have refilled. read more

I have been on the UWS for 24 years and have used most of the local pharmacies. CEDRA, and specifically the pharmacists, Susie and Wendy, are just fabulous with the most amazing customer service I have every encountered at a pharmacy. Every time I need a prescription, they make me feel like I am the only customer they have. The pharmacy prices are right in line with everyone else, but no one comes close to them regarding customer service!! 6 STARS, if I could! read more

I love the interior of this place! It is very eye catching and the white leather chairs are very comfortable. The clerks working for the pharmacy are very nice and can help answer any questions about the products that this Pharmacy offers. I really appreciate the fact that they sell salon quality hair products such as Shu Uemera and Oribe. My review is mainly for the Juice bar as I have spent more time there, and i disagree with the review below. I find the baristas to be extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what they are selling. They know the medicinal properties behind each juice and elixir, and have answered all questions very well. They happily offer samples and ive found their cold pressed juices to be really good. I love their "Heart Beet" juice with beet, pineapple, and ginger, and also their spicy citrus juice. They are extremely friendly and have the type of customer service this neighborhood needs! I have already gone a few times since they opened, and have tried a bunch of stuff. They make a really good coffee; not bitter or burnt, and very smooth. I usually add sweetener to my coffee, but the coffee they make definitely does not need it! As a bonus, I was told they are going to offer smoothies, acai bowls, and more options for snacks in the coming weeks! Excited to try more options here!!! I highly recommend checking this place out! I love the other products they have for sale there as well, very well curated beauty products and the staff is very helpful. My doctor recommended this pharmacy as they would work with me on prices since I don't have insurance coverage. It's taken days to get in touch with anyone who sounds like they know what they're doing. They have some fancy HIPAA compliant texting service which in theory would be great if they ever answered you. When you call be prepared to have either no one answer or they answer and then they put you on hold for ages. I'll give them two stars for working with me on the prices and zero for customer service. This company is very disappointing. My doctor recommended them and so I had her call the prescription in. What a mistake. I have been *trying* to use them for three months, but each time I need a refill they are impossible to get a hold of, deliver prescriptions days late, and their phones are always down. Time to transfer my scripts to my trusty neighborhood pharmacy. read more

They called me 2 hours before the estimated scheduled delivery time to tell me that they could no longer make it today and would have to reschedule until the following day. People rely on medication - you shouldn't offer a service you are incapable of providing! read more

While I was there, I observed how well they interacted with all the customers, directing them to the right staff member and answering numerous questions. Cedra Pharmacy has the upper west side glowing! The intrigue starts as soon as you are at their classy door entrance. You are always greeted with a warm smile and positive energy. Walking in you see their delicious Substance Juice Bar. I am definitely not a big juice drinker but the guys there are so friendly and explain all the juices and let me try samples of each drink. And I must say I LOVE their Fresh Cut green juice. The fact that they explain what each drink contains is great because nowadays we don't know what we're drinking so I must say it's pretty refreshing (no pun intended). Their boutique section is breathtaking - from the wide variety of upscale products that they carry to the decor of the whole store. Brandon (the beauty manager) was so sweet and helpful. He first listened to what I was looking for and then helped me find products to fit my needs instead of just trying to sell me anything (which usually happens when I walk into a Sephora). He was super friendly and informative. Moving along to their pharmacy section - I have to say Suzy (the pharmacist) goes above and beyond. I let her know that I am not satisfied with the place I currently have my prescriptions and she was willing to not only listen but to help in any way she can to make my transition to Cedra easier. That is the kind of customer service that is admirable and what attracted me most to make my switch. Lastly, everyone at Cedra was so welcoming. Mazen - the founder, made sure to greet me and welcome me. He explained the concept behind Cedra. It's so great to see such a business in the city! Best service ever! Before getting dismissed from the hospital (after having a c-section) my doctor sent my pain medications to Cedra but unfortunately they didn't have it available. They called me right away to let me know what was going on because they understand the seriousness of such surgery. Luckily, they acted fast and were able to contact my doctor and have my medication changed for a different pain medication that was as effective as the first one. I was able to get everything situated before leaving the hospital. Once my medications were processed I schedule my delivery and got my medications sent home the same day. I was so happy to be able to have everything I needed. I couldn't thank them enough for all of their hard work and effectiveness. Forever my favorite pharmacy! read more

I don't usually write reviews, but since Cedra opened over a year ago, I wandered in after having previously used a luxury pharmacy across the street, not even knowing this was a pharmacy based on the storefront being so beautiful. Before walking in, I had thought a new boutique had opened in my old neighborhood. I was immediately greeted by the staff, pharmacists, and owner with such amazing customer service, that makes this place stand out even more like a gem. Since then, I personally only use Cedra for all my needs: beauty/hair products (lines that would make anyone swoon over), prescriptions, and for general questions from the pharmacists who could all be physicians themselves based on their vast medical knowledge). Susie and Tally are two very special pharmacists, who always go above and beyond to help. The owner who I have met on many occasions has also been exceptionally kind! I always fear these family pharmacies disappearing, but know that Cedra is there to stay, treating me always like family (nostalgia for my childhood small town pharmacy). I recommend Cedra to anyone: family, friends, colleagues and physicians as it would be a disservice to use any other pharmacy! read more

I have had a terrible experience with this pharmacy. They shipped my medication and told me I would receive it within 3 business days. My medication was never delivered and was sent to a post office that is not close to where I live. However, it took me two weeks to figure out where the package actually was and the pharmacy provided zero help in trying to track the missing package and they did not seem to care at all that I didn't have my medication. They told me they would try and contact the post office and my insurance but they did not. I had to do all the tracking myself and had to contact the post office myself (which is a job in and of itself) and something the pharmacy should have done. But they did not care that I didn't have my medication. When I told them the post office the package was sitting at was far away they expressed no concern and when I tried to ask questions regarding how the package was shipped they gave me attitude. They provided no help and took no ownership for the fact that they shipped medication that I paid them for and never received. Gross. read more
