Exterior of Cedra Pharmacy on Upper Westside on Broadway in New York City
    L L.

Updated Review: I wouldn't risk my prescriptions to this pharmacy for anything -- even if they were the last pharmacy on earth and I needed my medication to survive. The staff are so busy texting friends on their personal phones while working on customers prescriptions it leaves one to fear the staff is doing something they shouldn't be doing. What pharmacist is allowed not ONE but TWO personal phones next to patient records. (see photo) Also -- customers can walk up to the pharmacy and since Cedra wants full transparency in business, the view of the customer is that of anyone's medical records and information being shared with the world. The staff grew angry when I mentioned this to them and they harshly barked that this was for transparency and it wasn't my business what happened to someone else's prescriptions. (see photo) I hope that the review board for licensing for pharmacies in New York shuts them down The staff needs a tune up on manners and etiquette -- I guess all the people who fill their prescriptions here are crass, vulgar and rude since a civilized person would do what I did, ask for my insurance card back and walk out. *********************************** Original Review: The store is spotless for now -- but it just opened. It has very limited merchandise. The pharmacy takes most insurance companies, and is closed on Sunday. That is a tough call for most customers to be so confined to Monday through Saturday only. There is a beverage bar inside this location (see photos) with cleansing mixes -- and while I can understand why someone would spend $6 - $20 on a beverage that promotes health -- I don't understand why that same person wouldn't just purchase their own juicer and make such elixirs for less than $1 a serving. But that is me. I didn't enjoy the samples I was given, and the mixtures tasted off. The worst part about being given a sample of the elixir line, was that when I asked what was in the mix, the clerk just said "It's a healthy mix of fruits and veggies I think" .. Um, yeah -- 'he thinks?' .. hasn't the store manager heard of Food Allergies? Would I suggest the juice bar to friends based on this experience? No way. The store overall is very pricey and while I love one or two products sold there and use those products, but they are far less elsewhere in NYC. I know that I will be back once in a while - but this isn't a place customers go to for that one or two items in a fix - it might be my last resort shop at place.

Serious price hikes for these products, which are usually $6-8

My husband, who is African American, has been given the run around for the last few months with a back ordered medication from Meds. We've shared his story with other patients who are clients of Meds and his treatment is not consistent with their treatment. He is not an Upper East Sider as are the majority of their patients and he has been treated differently from this staff. I do not feel that I need to speak for him, until today when he made another (5 in total) follow up call to get the status of the back ordered medication and was abruptly hung up on when he pointed out a discrepancy in the back ordered dates. This young lady that he spoke with needs to be reprimanded for her actions. This incident happened on 3-12-26 at 1:30 pm. He did not get her name since they would not take his calls afterwards. We consider this a personal incident that may be attributed to his ethnicity. One never knows these days in today's political environment. Our colleagues and clients that use Meds have never had a problem with their customer service and the ones we spoke with also feel that this is personal as well. He has been hesitant to say anything about his experiences with Meds since he is not one for pointing out mistreatment. It is apparent that he is being mistreated by giving him the runaround in order to frustrate him so that he would go elsewhere. I've seen this tactic before. I am the vocal one and he does not know that I am writing this, but I am doing this on his behalf. This is unacceptable and unfortunate but needs to be called out. I hope that the owner Yuhan Ave sees this and takes corrective measures going forward. In the meantime, Meds will not have to worry about my husband stepping foot in their establishment. I hope they are happy! They win!

Staff always answers the phone, they are friendly and communicate thoroughly. They always deliver to me in the Bronx and are clear on the cost of copay and delivery dates/times. Only once in 2 years, they were unable to deliver my order quickly and i went in person to pick it up. They were clear on their address and hours and it wasn't a big deal as i was in the city and stopped by. Can't thank the staff enough for always being transparent. Thank you !!

The delivery was cute! it came in a canvas tote and they even called to confirm everything, which made me feel taken care of. I had tried calling earlier to see if I could pick it up instead, but no one answered, so I'm assuming they only do delivery. I wish pickup were an option, especially since I needed the medication the same day it was prescribed. The only downside was all the confirmations on the nimble app. I confirmed the delivery window, then confirmed again for a signature only to find out the signature was optional and still had to confirm one more time. It felt a bit tedious, but I understand they're trying to ensure safe delivery. I also saw older reviews mentioning refill issues, so I'm a bit worried but we'll see. Keeping it positive!

The pharmacists here are brilliant, patient, and truly caring. They take the time to explain things clearly over the phone and respond right away. They also deliver -- fast. My meds arrived within an hour, from the Upper East Side all the way downtown. And today, pharmacist, Ruby, went above and beyond. I texted her a medical question unrelated to my prescription, and she actually called me and spoke with me for 20 minutes. Her kindness blew me away. Truly an incredible pharmacy -- I can't recommend them enough!
