This pharmacy is a neighborhood staple. They have anything you could possibly need AND at reasonable prices. I'm constantly getting detergent and cleaning supplies here because it's cheaper than anywhere else. When I moved to the UWS, I knew I'd have to find another independent corner store type place to get my toiletries because CVS/Duane Reade's prices are INSANE. After a week, I finally found Wellness Pharmacy. It looked kind of fancy from out front, so I took a chance and went in. The toilet paper CVS sells for NINE dollars was $2.99 here. The soap CVS and Duane Reade sell for $15 is $9.99 here. Go here unless you enjoy wasting money. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had great availability of goods at their store during this crises. They have much better availability than several of the major chains in the neighborhood. They also required anyone shopping to wear a mask. Sure they charged you a fee and sold you one if you didn't have it, but so what. They we're practicing safety. Also when I called the store I didn't have to wait on hold for several minutes. Wellness Pharmacy on West 72nd Street NYC is absolutely wonderful! Essam, David, Engy, Jackson and Mary are always pleasant and go out of their way to help you find your requested items. The Pharmacy Department works very hard to fill out prescriptions in a timely manner. There is a small town quality to the service that the staff provides to their customers. They are well stocked with unique wellness products that you can't always find at the larger chains. Friendly staff.

The worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Twice they delivered a medication that requires refrigeration. These are injections that go into my bloodstream, and if they are not refrigerated would at best be ineffective and at worst toxic. The first time the pharmacist, David, refused to replace the medication, and I had to call my doctor and the pharmaceutical company to get a statement saying that refrigeration was required, and the medication was not safe to use. I spent hours and hours addressing this error. The pharmacist David made me feel like it was my mistake and not the pharmacy's. The medication says clearly on it that it must be kept cold. After that each time I ordered the medication I reminded them that it needed to be properly packaged and it was sent in a sealed padded envelope with a large ice pack. The last time I neglected to remind them of it and it arrived yesterday not properly refrigerated. It was on top of a paper bag full of other medications with a small ice pack 4 x 2" that was under the bag. So it had no contact with a medication that required refrigeration. The medication was not cold. Once again the pharmacist, David, gave me a song and dance, and told me that it was-- in his words --packaged to his satisfaction. Yet this time, it was not put in a padded envelope, and there was not an ice pack in contact with the medication. Still, he was satisfied with that. Me, not so much. After a ridiculous amount of time, he finally agreed to have the medication returned but said he would no longer deliver medications to me - like it was my fault. Now this is a pharmacy, not a nail salon, so the screw ups are serious and so are their implications. There was no professional responsibility, no accountability and certainly no acknowledgment of their error . Needless to say, this was enough to change my Pharmacy. Let me add that I have a roster of their errors that boggles the mind. Life's too short to list them all but for example, I said they could deliver the medication between 12 and four. I get a text the next day said they will deliver it after four as requested. Another time they insisted a medication has been delivered when it has not been delivered. Four hours later it showed up. And the delivery guy explained that he had gone to the wrong building. It's a shame because the other pharmacist is responsible and courteous, but never again will I use this pharmacy and neither should you read more

I live in the neighborhood and this is my go-to place for everything from toothpaste to laundry detergent. People recognize me, are happy to say hello and are always willing to assist me I. Whatever way they can. They have even told me when the next shipment of certain products is expected, will let me call, and they'll hold one aside for me. Can't say enough nice and wonderful things about the store and staff. read more

The prices are so much better now than when they first open which were during the time I made previous review. I Spoke with the owner of the pharmacy and he apologize profusely for the misunderstanding regarding the review I made previously about them selling masks doing the shutdown and COVID 19 emergency. Apparently they did donate mask during that time and that statement was made to me by an uninformed employee at the store. read more

I hate to be critical of a small business at this difficult time. This pharmacy is a recent addition to the neighborhood. And perhaps this is a small issue - I purchased surgical masks (20 pack) for $20 (an overcharge). I paid with a credit card. I was never asked to provide identification. I was not asked to sign for the purchase. I was not charged tax (again maybe that is normal?). I assumed that a signature was not required because the $20 fell below a particular threshold (where a signature was not necessary). This morning, I noticed that the signature line auto-populated with "Impacted by COVID 19." I was never asked if I had been impacted by COVID 19. Was it assumed? I wrote to the pharmacy this morning, and I promptly received a phone call. I was told this has become an accepted practice, endorsed by credit card companies. I expressed concern that this practice creates the opportunity for fraudulent transactions if my credit card were to fall in some one else's hands. The gentleman who called acknowledged that. Then he expressed disbelief that I wasn't asked to sign/waive the need for a signature - why does that seem incredulous if I am inquiring about why the signature line auto populated with "impacted by COVID 19?" That doubt on his part seemed disingenuous. I called American Express and the representative I spoke to was not able to verify that this (waiving of the signature) is an accepted practice; maybe that one person at American Express wasn't aware. Who knows. The gentleman from the pharmacy who called me made sure to end the call by saying that I call him back directly with concerns (maybe he was concerned I would yelp!). Or maybe he actually cared. Perhaps, I am making a mountain out of a hill, but something seems incorrect here. Have enough doubt about this pharmacy and their surcharge on surgical masks ($20?!) during a pandemic that I see no reason to go back. I am open to hearing that I could be wrong. read more
