I am a regular customer here and the rest of the staff is usually wonderful, but I had an awful experience with a pharmacist named Peter. He refused to accept my original, unexpired passport as a legal ID, shouting at me in front of other customers. For reference, a valid government-issued passport--regardless of nationality--is a legally recognized form of identification. Peter was incredibly rude, aggressive, and clearly lacks basic customer service training and knowledge of ID policies. Management needs to address his behavior immediately. read more

I was today years old when I found out New York charges you $.05 for purchasing drinks in plastic bottles they call it a bottle deposit fee. In the area for Christmas so I patronized this location about three or four times throughout my stay. Consistently busy for the area and very hard for the employees to keep the shelves stocked. Still extremely convenient. read more

My daughter caught a flu of some kind traveling. The lady who I will describe as short, black, and miserable was the nastiest medical personnel I've ever met in my 56 years of life. She was verbally abusive with every customer she encountered. Do better CVS!!!!!! read more

totally incompetent pharmacy. Every month another problem. they deleted rather than filled one of my rx. didn't tell me. called to see if order was ready & found out the mess of the month. they said they called my dr for new prescription to replace the one they deleted.Dr said they never called, so she called them. received a txt msg that the medication was out of stock. every month is a new drama. scary incompetent staff. the manager who never seems to be available needs to train employees or get fired. seriously read more

I ordered photo prints to pick up from the 1619 Broadway, New York, NY location on 6 January 2025. My order number was 18927402321086. I received an email on 7 January 2025 that they were ready to pick up. When I stopped at this CVS on 9 January 2025 at 12:05 AM, I was told that they could not find the order. They asked me for my name to re-print them and then began re-printing the order of someone named Richard Barbera. When I explained that that was not me they told me to just re-send the order. I wasted a great deal of time here and for all I know they have my personal identifiable information as well as personal photographs that they never allowed me to pick up. I would not recommend this location unless you need to pick up a soda on the go. read more

This location, on 49th and Broadway, seem to be overly focused on shoplifters (The manager was very vocal about this in an impromtu meeting on the floor, which I found unusual), with zero competency and regard to customer service. I tried to use a coupon on a simple tube of toothpaste this morning, which cost me at least seven minutes of lost prep time before work, only to find out from the cashier(Fayez) that I had to buy a set and very unclear amount of items before qualifying for the discount, or at least I understood his vague explanation as the case. I felt my time wasted, so I walked away as Fayez scoffed openly at my decision to keep my money. The only professional worker was the young lady on the second floor who helped me retrieve the toothpaste with her key. She's the one star in this review. read more

This place is hit or miss.I work down the block from here. If you go during the day the workers are extremely helpful and if you need help they definitely service you right away.At night time is when you have alot of kids working the store who treat the store as their at a party. No one is hardly present to assist you and don't like the fact they keep cabinets locked up and you gotta wait a long time for them to come to open up to give you what you need.I go to any CVS out of New York you just pick up and grab what you want to buy,but then again NY is hugely known for shoplifters especially this location around the Times Square area.But given that this is such a busy and high profile area especially during the late hours when it's the most congested they should be more attentive to their customers. read more

Went to pick up medication from pharmacy and when I got home I realized they gave me the wrong medicine so I called and got reprimanded by the pharmacist that I didn't check before I left cvs, which I should've done. But can't they take SOME responsibility for giving me the wrong meds? She told me I either had to pay out of pocket bc insurance won't cover it until next month or suck it up and take the wrong medication. Very unprofessional for a pharmacist and very unprofessional as a general worker. Will not return to this cvs again. read more

I called the store and some associate named Maleek answered the phone. I asked what time they were open for customers since I know the 24hrs is closed due to COVID. He seemed annoyed, I noticed attitude the moment he answered. I guess he couldn't hear me so he asked me to speak louder and I repeated myself, and he rudely and abruptly said "No, were not open!" and then hung up the phone on me. I don't think that's good customer service. I understand working overnight shifts can be difficult especially in lieu what's going on, but it's no way to treat a customer. You're the only one that's near me and I don't have access to anything so I'm hoping you'll be open at 5 or maybe 6am, although with this horrible experience I'm not sure I want to come here. I'll probably just go to a nearby Duane Reade. Someone's gotta talk to that guy. read more

The interior feels more like a supermarket than a drug store, and I mean that as a compliment. It's very clean, modern and sleek looking - with all sections laid out in an intuitive fashion. There are many different sections. Aside from the pharmacy there are also food sections, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, a large selection of cosmetics and even some smaller "travel size" items. When I walked around the store every staff member I ran into was nothing but courteous. They were restocking the shelves, an often hectic time but still made time to ask if I needed any help. Super kudos to them.

I work upstairs…read moreand I've been in here enough to know that they do it to basically everybody and they're like that all the time. This lady literally chased me down just to remind me that I wasn't allowed to test anything in the cosmetics section, even though I was clearly not testing anything. When I went to check out, her coworkers were even ruder, made me scan my Apple Pay like three times and kept canceling my transaction, before yelling at me that I was "doing it too fast" when I had waited patiently...laughing behind the registers like children...You name it, the maturity level of grade schoolers. No idea what makes them all so angry and unpleasant, but it can't be fun to live like that. Spare yourself the negativity, honestly, there are plenty of other pharmacies within walking distance that actually have good service!

Since they sell ready foods: salad, sandwiches, and fruits etc.... I highly recommended to stop by here :) esp, super early morning, or late night travelers. It's located at 3rd ave few blocks from grand central station. There're an ATM machine (Citibank) and recycle bottle machine (giving out 5c) at the entrance.

The selection is surprisingly large though I have no idea how big the store is. The "shoppers" and delivery people are efficient and very professional. If items run out, the shopper will text pictures of alternatives to choose from in real time. Mistakes are readily refunded. Delivery is very fast. Prices are Manhattan high, but the service is excellent for those who do not shop inside grocery stores, like myself.

While coming into NYC, I had to stop by to the Walgreens right in the station to get cough drops. There is nothing more convenient than this and the line inside proves my point. I am always pleased when I am properly greeted when I walk through the door. I am especially happy when a clerk or cashier look up from what they are doing to acknowledge a customer walking through the door. This store, like other Walgreens is big and bright and very new with clean isles to navigate through. This incredibly delightful staff was over the top in greetings. Happy to see a customer. Happy to help a customer. Happy to speak with a customer. The item I needed was right on the checkout line... I never new cough drop were that type of impulse item, and there could be so many brands. Check out went very quickly and I received the same cordial greeting as I left as when I came in. The team member behind the counter just personified the model employee of engagement, spreading happiness and loving to be able to help. Kudos to a wonderful team here at Walgreens, Penn Station

I was hungry for a snack but I wanted to eat light since I wanted to save some of my appetite for the dinner plans that I had at a restaurant later that evening. So I went into the store and purchased one of the very delicious fruit cups that they were selling. The portion size was perfect and it made a great snack to tide me over until dinner. The fruit was very fresh and tasty. I saw some people with sandwiches that looked very delicious so I think that the next time I am visiting the area I will stop by for a sandwich just to try the place for their sandwiches. The service was good and I will be sure to come back to this store.

My only con was they don't offer samples. I wanted a foundation match and sample for the new nar foundation and was told they don't do it at that location. I get it, it's a central location but the staff member i asked wasn't busy, he was talking to another staff member
