The generally pleasant and professional pharmacy staff here is undermined by retail sales side where customers will find plenty of CVS branded products but ever fewer national brands (and even fewer that are not locked up), and encounter a manager-on-duty who seems to think himself free to lay unsolicited blame for this or that problem on the customer. read more

I had one of the worst customer service experiences ever at this CVS on 5/24/25 around 2:20 pm. While waiting near the shopping carts for my Uber, an employee (a tall African American male with braids) came up behind me to return his cart -- but didn't say a word. I didn't even know he was there until my mother pointed it out. I moved my things so he could put the cart away, and instead of just doing it, he slammed the cart in -- hard -- multiple times. When I calmly acknowledged how aggressive that was, he turned around and yelled at me, saying "The fuck you said? You said something?" He continued yelling at me and my mother at the entrance of the store, blaming us for being "in his way" and stopping him from doing his job. It was shocking, threatening, and completely unprofessional. I will not be coming back to this CVS if this is the kind of staff they hire. I hope management takes this seriously -- no customer deserves to be treated this way. read more

Incredibly rude service. Also, don't lock the door before 11:50PM if you claim to close at midnight? The door was locked when I got there, but since there was a customer checking out when I got there the lady working came to very rudely snap at me that they were closed while unlocking the door for the customer. I pointed to the sign that literally said they weren't supposed to close for another 10 mins, and explained that I only needed one item that would take me less than 2 mins to get. She claimed they were short staffed and refused to let me in, even though they literally have self checkouts and I don't need any of the staff to do anything for me except unlock the door. But thanks for making me walk further when I'm already sick and tired just so I can get nighttime pads :/ read more

CVS is everywhere! This location remains one of the nicest for cleanliness and friendly customer service. I spend a lot of time shopping CVS because of their rewards program. When I'm in this neighborhood and have a coupon I stop in to check out their stock. Sometimes in my neighborhood shelves are bare! I'm recommending. read more

‍ Run don't walk as far away from this location as you can. Go to 150 E 42nd Street. You will have a much better day, a better life and you will find stock on the shelves. This store's days are numbered, and the turnover of management and employees would make your head spin. Their shelves are barren from everyday common necessities. The manager reeks of marijuana and so do some of the employees, especially the holder of the keys for the locked items. Don't even bother. Go a couple extra blocks in any direction and you won't have to buy a tylenol or sedative to recover from the experience. read more

This CVS was the sun - especially compared to the CVS few streets away where i went out without buying anything. Went into the shop to look for nicotine stuff, right to find behind the front counter. The staff (or manager) saw me and asked which product i want - gave it me and lead me to the self service counter, prepared it - that all within seconds. So i was out and happy customer within less then a minute. top! Just thanks for. Minutes before i had this contrary (bad) experience in another CVS: Went into the shop. Could not find nic products. Because many CVS sell this only over the counter i tried to ask staff behind the back counter, who ignored me first, while looking into a computer - then mumbled me something like "go forward, i'm not available" - so i was going to the next counter, where the woman straight went away as she saw me. So i went out (without buying anything) to this CVS just few streets away and the staff was very helpful here, getting me fast to what i want and happy within a minute. There is a new weekend pharmacist.  He had keys dangling from his waist and wasn't dressed like a pharmacist so I asked him if he was the pharmacist.  I had a question.  He said, "What do I look like, the plumber?"  Actually, that's exactly what he looked like.  So I saw him again today and he changed over to looking and acting like a pharmacist we would all expect.  Great!...Glad he cleaned up!  But in the future, I am timing to pick up my prescription during the week....for whatever reason.. read more

Terrible service! Waited for an hour for the register when they had 2 people in line in front of me. Only one register open and another employee screaming the self checkout is open at the top of her lungs as if people aren't able to see it themselves. Worse she kept screaming even when it was already established people were waiting for the register like me who needed a return and couldn't use self check out. Have no idea why the guy taking so long to check out one person. They finally opened up another register after 1 hour and 10 minutes! The woman in front of me was so stupid she had 4 items and didn't know the price. I don't know why but the person behind the register had to walk all the way to the item location to see the price because the woman gave the wrong price. Scanning doesn't work???!! Then the person asked if they had a CVS card. And then the stupid customer didn't even know how to use her phone to pay. Another half hour wait. The first customer at the other register seems to be suffering some physical disability and Alzheimer's because he takes his empty basket with him instead of the items in a bag and the guy working the register doesn't even stop him and tell him he forgot his stuff. I finally get to a register to try to refund a faulty CVS product ( they are always guaranteed) and the guy says they need my Drivers license??? I don't have it so I ask if I can leave the item because I don't want to carry a bulky box back and forth. And he says I should take it with me because he may not be here. I repeated ask how long his shift because he likely would be here as I live nearby. He refused to answer and ignored me. I said I wanted to leave it and look you can see it's been opened and no one else is returning this item. Still no. I carry it home and back. He asks with attitude if I have my license this time. His scanner is not working and he scans his hand a few times. Even though when he showed me the screen he can manually enter my driver's license number!! He wants to see my bank statement when I come back with my license because the item is now on sale even though it wasn't on sale when I purchased it because they are trying to refund the sale price which 1/4th the cost I paid so I am losing money and can't even afford to but a replacement in the brand name non cvs one now. Like what who asks for your bank statement and license?! Never had a problem returning a cvs store item before because it's their fucking item. You can't get it anywhere else. Then he says he can't put the money back on my credit card or give a cash refund, he can only give me a cvs money card for a fraction of the price I paid. Then even though he just gave me this card it doesn't work at all and asks for a 4 digit code he didn't give me and is not on the receipt. I can't use it at all for my purchase. So 2 hours of hassle and no money or refund to show for it!!!. Outrageous. I also said The first time I waited so long in line and can't he do the return? He said next time come straight to his register (guess what? he was still there, no surprise) . But when I came back there was a group of tourists who had separate purchase transactions so should not have been allowed together and I was no allowed to go first or between like he promised. I'm waiting forever because I guess they don't know where the grocery store is down the street!!! And purchase $216 worth of tiny bottles of coconut water. Then the next person buys $140 worth of tiny individual coconut waters. I throw the card away because it is useless and he doesn't even know how to use it. Worst customer service ever. Don't shop here!!! They are garbage and their stuff is garbage. read more

it's fairly new and open 24/7 so what's not to like. on the corner of 47th st and 3rd ave and with its large space it has the basic stuff from a to z. what i like about this cvs is that the products that are on the weekly sale flyers are usually available and not out of stock like most cvs and the staff here are actual friendly and helpful and do check the place neat and organized . they don't have self service machines at this location but the checkout section in the front is never line crazy cause their are 4 cashiers ready to ring you up and out. the pharmacy dept is in the back and seems to be running well from what i can see. i like this cvs cause when i am in the city overnight i can stop by on my way home to pick up a few things without going off my usual path home. read more

I don't usually make reviews but I feel it is needed when the level of service is so ridiculously bad. There are a few things wrong with this place that CVS corporate needs to address. First, In the morning I have been in this store and there are usually 5-7 employees just walking around doing nothing and one person on the cash register while the line gets as long as 10-12 customers. I was In this store and the Asian employee with glasses just watched the line fill up and did nothing. Second, there is no ease of anything. Today I watched a line build up as I went in to get my morning energy bar and there were people on line and the line got busier.... The person in front of me had a total of 5.01 instead of giving the customer $15 change like any other normal place the lady went and got chance, took her time and counted out 99 cents in change. While the second part is understandable, I myself have left extra change in the register.. Does CVS need to be a stickler for 1 cent?? This store needs a new manager and new employee training. read more
