This was my first time using an apothecary service for medication and dermatologist products (my dermatologists sent my meds here), and I didn't even know something like this existed. The delivery was cute! it came in a canvas tote and they even called to confirm everything, which made me feel taken care of. I had tried calling earlier to see if I could pick it up instead, but no one answered, so I'm assuming they only do delivery. I wish pickup were an option, especially since I needed the medication the same day it was prescribed. The only downside was all the confirmations on the nimble app. I confirmed the delivery window, then confirmed again for a signature only to find out the signature was optional and still had to confirm one more time. It felt a bit tedious, but I understand they're trying to ensure safe delivery. I also saw older reviews mentioning refill issues, so I'm a bit worried but we'll see. Keeping it positive! read more

This is hands down the best pharmacy I've ever used! CVS quoted me $1,200 for a small bottle of medicine -- Third Avenue Apothecary filled it for just $75. The pharmacists here are brilliant, patient, and truly caring. They take the time to explain things clearly over the phone and respond right away. They also deliver -- fast. My meds arrived within an hour, from the Upper East Side all the way downtown. And today, pharmacist, Ruby, went above and beyond. I texted her a medical question unrelated to my prescription, and she actually called me and spoke with me for 20 minutes. Her kindness blew me away. I have been going here for six years and the actual staff in the store are friendly and nice but the lady who picks up the call always seems annoyed like she doesn't even wanna be bothered other than date of birth and if you dare ask her any question she would snap at you in condescending tone and always put you on a long hold. UPDATE: I'm moving them up to 3 stars for 1 reason...the owner called me after this review alerted him to my experience, and gave me an earnest and heartfelt apology and let me know he would go above and beyond for me should I choose to use them in the future. That goes a long way if you're running a service-based business. That being said, while I'd love to be able to give them a 5-star review, the fact remains that my experience is still my experience here. I had a very bad experience a couple of months ago when I was about to start a long trip overseas and needed my medication. After that the owner caled me trying to find ways to resolve the problem but it was late for getting my medication before travelling. Not a pleasant experience. My prescription was delivered to the incorrect address. I reached out to the pharmacy which said they will try to get in contact with the courier and never called me back. I had to contact them for 2 days straight before I was told they are not responsible for the couriers mistake and I would have to pay for a new refill even though I never received my prescription.
