There was some initial hesitation with utilizing Manhattan Apothecary since I'm out of state, but they made the process so seamless that it didn't matter. After being prescribed some medicine from a doctor visit, they were able to send the medicine directly to me. Even after some time had passed, they were quite thorough in providing a follow-up call for a refill. Sure enough they were prompt and good about making sure the delivery was timely. It was extremely easy to work with them whether it was through email or through phone, and they were extremely professional the whole time. Ultimately, I enjoyed my experience and wouldn't mind utilizing their services again. I do wish that more pharmacies were as prompt, attentive and as they are in making sure that medicine is received. read more

My derm suggested using Manhattan Apothecary over my local pharmacy and I'm starting to regret it. The biggest issue is the lack of visibility into the order. First, I had to call them to start the order even though their website quotes a call to you within a few hours. It was getting late in the day and no call, so I initiated instead -- no biggie, the guy on the phone was nice and I had my order scheduled for next day delivery because I live in LIC (they don't do same day delivery for outside Manhattan which is pretty silly because LIC is probably faster to get to than most places in Manhattan). The next day, I waited for my order until the evening and still no communication (no text, email, call, nada) or delivery. Okay, I called them again and they said the order looks to be delayed another day -- again, never received any communication about a delay. This is frustrating because had I known about these delays ahead of time, I would have taken the 15 min train ride myself to pick the medicine up on the first day, or even better, walk across the street to my local pharmacy. Instead, I now have to hope that the order isn't delayed again! I know it's around the holidays and busy, but this is medication we are talking about. All I ask is for better communication so I can make alternative decisions to get my medication faster. You unfortunately don't get that here. Frustrating to read the Yelp reviews of others who received their medication within hours, yet I now have wasted a least a day waiting for a scheduled delivery that never arrived and have to hope there aren't any more delays. If you're thinking about home delivery, live outside of Manhattan and need medication ASAP, then I would say look elsewhere! read more

Great pharmacy! The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable on the medication they are handing out. They specialize in dermatology products (but have a wide selection of cosmetic products), and even include a short write up/instructions so you know how to apply. You would never get that level of detail and a traditional pharmacy. The store is so clean and crisp and such a great location (right by Macy's in herald square). Definitely recommend this spot! read more

I came here because I was having a suit altered at Robbie and Co next door.  This is a nice privately owned pharmacy - apothecary, not a big chain store.  It is mostly prescriptions but have your basics of other drug stores.  Very bright and very clean.  This is a well-run store with nice helpful people.  Thank you. read more

WORST pharmacy experience of my life. I spoke to them before memorial weekend started and I let them know that I was having a medical emergency and I needed my medication tomorrow if it would not be delivered by Saturday I wanted to just change pharmacies, instead they scheduled it and charged my card. Saturday came and went and they NEVER gave me my medication, I waited home ALL weekend for it the phones were down until Monday for the holiday. Do you know how crazy my days were because of them? I spoke to someone Tuesday morning all they did was say sorry, my entire weekend was gone and all they could say was sorry. They could "possibly" get me my medication in 1 to 2 days... why would I wait one to two days when that would equate to waiting an entire week. I'm disgusted with my experience and if this is how you treat other customers their business will not be around for much longer, what a poor horrible sad experience to have to go through with a pharmacy that should be helping people and didn't even help when I told them how angry I was smh HORRIBLE been a customer for over 5 years and I will never be using these services again good luck if you use them. read more

My dermatologist prescribed 2 specialty medications for me and she referred me to their preferred pharmacy, Manhattan Apothecary. When I checked the prices of these medications on line at CVS, Walgreens and Cigna I almost fainted! I then contacted them to find out their price I was pleasantly surprised, pleased and very relieved! They told me their relationships with the pharma companies, use of coupons, etc. gave them an advantage over box store pharmacies. Works for me!! The fact that they deliver is also another plus. This was my first time using any specialty pharmacy and it was great. At first, I was hesitant because I always used CVS. But, my medications weren't covered there and the doctor recommended this pharmacy for me. After seeing my doctor, the staff at Manhattan Apothecary gave me a call in regards of my medications within an hour. AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! This is my second time using Manhattan Apothecary and both times have been so easy and seamless. I have also used their sister store "Morris Apothecary" in NJ. They really are AMAZING. My 5 prescriptions were called into CVS by my doctor, however, Manhattan Apothecary offered better prices for 2 of them. They contacted CVS for me to have my prescriptions from the doctor sent over to them. On top of that, they then matched the lower prices for the other 3, so I ended up getting all 5 prescriptions through MA. One of their pharmacists/representatives DJ, went above and beyond to answer my emails in a timely manner and make everything super easy for me. The fact that they even email back and forth with you is amazing and super convenient for anyone who is working and doesn't have the time to sit on the phone or like me is in and out of meetings. They had my card on file from last time, which made checkout a breeze. They also offer FREE home delivery, next day! Best prices, best customer service. I really can't say enough! read more
