Th2 is the best food ever! The service is amazing and the ambience is even better! Can't wait to go back.

One of the best Italian restaurant I've ever dined at. As much as I want to gatekeep this place, it deserves to be recognized by more folks . The balance of flavor and the texture of food is just perfect . Everything tasted so fresh and authentic. My partner and I especially loved the olive oil dip that came with the bread. The service is impeccable , really appreciated how the owner checked in from table to table asking us how the food was etc. He was kind enough to even offer us coffee ! Our server was amazing as well as she kept checking in on us with a warm smile . It's the little things that make a dining experience that much more special and memorable . I wanted to like this place. It's neighborhood after all. First let me start with the atmosphere is really welcoming and the staff was hospitable. Mel made me overlook how poorly the food was executed with his charm. The food wasn't really there for me. I tried the special appetizer which was the roast beef carpaccio. It was basically Boar's Head on a plate sliced thick. I couldn't get past this. They served this with truffles. Oh no! The truffles were actually really good and an unexpected surprise but truly misplaced. I would have loved to see them over a plate of pasta or risotto. The pasta dish was probably the only dish that gets a pass. However, it was sitting on a lake of oil. Just not my thing. The wine selection could have been better. There is always a wine producer trying to make a name for themselves at a low price point. You don't have to go exceedingly high in price to keep things interesting. The pork chop was actually cooked superbly with the exception of the inundation of salt. These guys were as sweet as pie and so I sincerely hope that they take the constructive criticism and run with it. read more

Great service and even better food. The pasta is cooked to perfection. The homemade cheesecake is to die for. Highly recommend this place.

The owner and his team all hands on deck when it comes to service . I ordered the penny à la vodka with shrimp..... absolutely mouth watering. You might pass this without noticing it but that would be your loss. Much better food than you might expect from a "neighborhood" restaurant. We've eaten there several times and every dish was delish. Very efficient and pleasant service and the owners are around making certain that all is as it should be. My only regret is that I hadn't discovered this restaurant sooner. read more

Ordered the eggplant parm and branzino Siciliana. The eggplant parm with rigatoni pomodoro had just the PERFECT amount of sauce. Delicious. The branzino siciliana was cooked to perfection and was crisp and flaky. Roasted potatoes were fantastic on the side and balanced out the dish superbly. Will be recommending 10/10. My family and I recently visited and the food was amazing! The staff are very courteous and very attentive. When we arrived. we were greeted by one of the owners, my son has food allergies and after explaining what he was allergic to made some recommendations and the Chef came by during the meal to make sure everything was to our liking. This is a new spot in Dyker Heights and boy am I glad they opened their doors because this place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they're doing and what they're talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food was fresh and delicious , some italian classics and some twists. Was looking for a nice Italian place to take our father out, a day early, for Father's day. Made an easy afternoon reservation and all 5 of us got there on time. Our server was great. Easy to understand when he spoke and catered to our requests. He did a great job overall with us and we were very happy. The food was just awesome. We all loved everything we had. No one left anything for the trash. The food was light and delicious. Flavourful and cooked so perfectly. Just to name a few with what the table had... Rigatoni Bolagnaese, Penne Vodka, Rice balls, KC Pork Chip, Salads... And more. I was able to taste everything and they all tasted light, clean and so f'n good. Usually I end feeling heavy in my stomach and like a miserable slouch when leaving restaurants, but not here, thankfully. Born and raised in Dyker Heights and, in my opinion, the best place thus far for Italian food in Dyker has to be here. The kitchen staff was just on point with everything they cooked. They look like an eager young group that knows what to do and deliver. Very kind and dedicated to serving great food. Occasionally came out to check on things and very humble to compliments. I eat out a lot but this is one of the best restaurants I've been to. It's very deceiving from the outside in that it's small and under stated but it's lovely inside. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The service was also excellent. They have the best Italian food around. The chef is to be commended.They only serve beer and wine. Great service ,great food ! Wow what a surprise to get pasta perfect al dente unlike the usual wet noodles most so called Italian restaurants serve. Party had house salad ,fried calamari, pastu ragu and eggplant parm. All were excellent. Preparation was very good and food was not overly salty. Tiramisu wa excellent. Only improvement id suggest is to expand the wine offerings. Very nice spot! read more

We came here for dinner before visiting the Dyker Heights Christmas lights in the neighborhood. The food is very tasty with generous portions. It seems like there's a lot of customers who want to dine there so I'd book a table ahead of time. Given the high demand, it seems like the waitstaff and kitchen staff could use an extra hand so I'd wait patiently for your food to arrive. The manager was so apologetic about the wait after we were seated that he comped our glass of red wine. I would definitely come back! Great service and great food, especially on a cold December's night! Also, pro tip: if you're seeing the lights after the meal, definitely use the restroom here before you leave; it'll be hard to find a restroom unless you walk in the direction of Bay Ridge toward the commercial streets by the R station. read more

Just tried this restaurant tonight and had an excellent experience!! Such a beautiful inviting restaurant- absolutely lovely addition to the neighborhood. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious!! Our group tried the meatball, rice ball, and baked clams oregenata appetizer, the cavatappi and penne vodka pasta dishes, and the tiramisu for dessert. We truly thought each dish was extremely well executed. I loved that this penne vodka was less creamy than I've had before and had nice small chunks of prosciutto and fresh peas -the best of all of the various penne vodka dishes I've had. Prices also seemed reasonable and the rose wine was lovely- hadn't tried that bottle before. Wishing a long and successful life for Cavatappi. Will be back soon to try other dishes read more
