I was greeted and seated quickly and the exchange was courteous. I ordered the Drunken noodle** with shrimp and asked for a Thai beer recommendation. I ordered mildly spicy for Drunken Noodle. The Thai beer served in a frosted iced glass , Singha, is delicious. It is rich, crisp, strong hops. The DN arrived and I was excited to dig in and then..the disappointment set in. It wasn't bad just good. What makes this dish a favorite is the ingredients, the spice and the sauce! The sauce needs to be thick for the noodles to absorb it and hang on it, just tasted so-so. The amount of shrimps were plentiful however, there was no wow. I'm unsure if I had asked for spicy would have changed it but the sauce was watery. I am still searching for a restaurant to replicate a now defunct Bay Ridge Thai eatery called Top Thai. That restaurant, so small, but the food packed a punch and was amazing.
