Salmon... Dry like a Griswold turkey on Thanksgiving.
    Summer C.

Until they get more staff (there a big sign in window that they are hiring)... I would avoid. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cleaned my own table (outdoor so it had bird poop and a few days worth tons of dried sauces on it)...[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]woman's bathroom was gross, trash overflowing in main restaurant, windows smeared with handprints.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was super cold inside... so we ate outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was the only sucker to get the salmon, husband ordered it for me in line... if I had seen it I would've changed my order. Boys got the Greek chicken pitas... they liked them. But I don't want to eat here ever again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seemed pretty popular though... maybe a bad day? (Thursday 06/04 at 6-6:30 pm).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hope you guys can hire up and get back up to a normal standard!

The kids pita always do it for me. A pita, chips & a drink for less than 10 bucks & it's delicious!

Half chicken/half rice bowl with olives, hummus, garlic, corn, broccoli, pita crisps. 10/10.

Had to stop at Cava while I was in town. (Please bring Cava to the Bay Area!) They prepped my order really quickly, even at lunchtime on a weekday. Ingredients tasted flavorful and fresh. (Please bring Cava to the Bay Area!) I took an order with me on my flight back to the West Coast. I'll be back! (Please bring Cava to the Bay Area!)

I tried this restaurant for lunch and turned right around and had it for dinner! The food was so good and healthy!! Didn't cause an uncomfortable stomach feeling when I am usually full. Store nice and clean, staff wonderful. Would definitely be back and recommend that you come and try it too!!

I don't frequent Cameron Village much due to the terrible parking situation and it feels really bougie to me. Since my friend drove, it was fine. I'd heard good things about CAVA. Because it's primarily a "make your own" style restaurant it takes a while to get through the line. You could tell the employees were working hard to keep things moving, however. I opted for the greens and grain bowl and added toppings like their cucumber tomato mix, pickled onions (my favorite), feta, fire grilled corn, and grilled meatballs as my protein. I always ask for the sauces on the side so I can try them first, and the cilantro dressing was the winner. It had a little kick to it. The sweet tea was on point.

Cava is so good. The food is amazing and they give you a good amount of food. Like Chipotle but way better.

I ordered the crispy cauliflower app which was delish! Don't let the raisins sway your decision - it's suttle but just right with the cauli. They add a romesco sauce that's flavorful add capers to add the salty goodness. Loved this! I also ordered the meatball app which was plenty. They were perfect size and more than enough for two. The sauce was rich and bold with flavor and a sprinkle of goat cheese was just right. I will return and try a few more apps next time.

The food was pretty good. I started with the tortellini soup and had the French toast from the Brunch menu. For drinks, I tried the pineapple mimosa, but it was warm, which really affected the flavor. I also ordered an espresso martini, and unfortunately it had an artificial taste that I would not recommend, especially for the price. One issue we ran into was the number of flies around our table. Even though we were seated inside, there were several constantly circling, and one ended up landing in my water. Our waitress tried to help, but the problem continued. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the service, but I would come back for the food only and not for the drinks.

Haiku: Mama Crow's Burger & Salad Shop…read more Got vegan burger Disappointed soggy fries Cool Transfer Food Hall. --- Located in the Transfer Food Hall, Mama Crow's features a menu of fresh, locally sourced salads, fresh, top-quality burgers, house-made cheeses, and hand-cut fries. I ordered the Superfree Burger, their vegan burger patty made of sweet potatoes, roasted mushrooms, walnuts and seeds; topped with avocado, tomato, mixed greens, onions, and a garlic-tahini dressing. Usually, I'm always excited to try a restaurant's vegan burger, but sad to say, their vegan burger was a bit underwhelming. I felt the patty was on the dry and crumbly side. I also ordered a Kid's Hot Dog meal for my child. The hot dog looked delish, but sadly, the hand-cut fries were soggy, greasy, and dark. I don't know what happened, but it wasn't appetizing. I should have asked the kitchen to make another batch for us. Mama Crow's had so much promise. I'd still come back to give it another try, but I'll order a burger next time.

I didn't realize they had a separate breakfast, lunch and dinner menu (I guess they use brunch and breakfast interchangeably) so definitely something to note if you have your eye on a specific dish. We started with the pull apart bread which was reminiscent of the old school cafeteria rolls I had in elementary school (a great comparison) and were delicious - wonderful crunch on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. It came with chive butter, then the host gave us the honey butter. Both were good, I just preferred the chive. I had the roasted turkey French dip which was good, just not memorable. My husband liked his shrimp and grits, said it was rich, but tasty. I absolutely loved the decor and vibe of this place, I would go back for the vibes alone! The staff was really nice too. There's a bakery in the front, I think was closed since it was lunch time, but I would definitely return to Birdies!
