Never been disappointed with my cava bowl until I went to this place. Both the brown and white rice were hard! Don't know if it was undercooked or overcooked but it was not good. Long wait during school lunch hours but shouldn't be an excuse for hard rice..

This CAVA is right next to my gym, so it's super convenient for a post-workout meal! It's always on point and hits every time. The only downside is they sometimes run out of certain proteins, which is kind of a bummer.

Healthy and yummy! You have to figure out which sauces you like to mix with your bowl for the best experience. I didn't have meat. Instead I ordered sweet potatoes and falafels. The sweet potatoes are the best. I choose only those next time. Thier service is great. This restaurant stays packed. 1st visit: Yummy!! Their bowls taste amazing and healthy for you. I don't like brussel sprouts, but they taste great at this location. I will be back and I'll bring a friend.

This is my first time at Cava. Small, fast casual, mediterranean restaurant. Very similar to a Chipotle but for Mediterranean food. Make your own bowl or pita wrap with different types of rice, greens, meats and other toppings. There are about 5 to 6 tables inside and no outdoor seating. The entire store facade is made of glass which brings in a lot of light and gives the space an open feel. The Nice modern interior and the pop music playing in the background gives it a good vibe. The AC was turned on at a perfect temperature. The noise level was medium to loud. I got a bowl with greens as the base. For meats, i got the chicken shawarma and the grilled beef. For toppings i got 2 types of hummus, grilled corn, tomatoes, cucumbers and pickled cabbage. The bowl came with a complimentary but optional slice of greek style pita bread. They also have fountain drinks. The greens and dressing was really good. On the other hand, the meats were not tender at all, cold and dry. As i was making my bowl, i barely stuck my hand over the food bar window to remotely point at an item in order to ask my hostess what the item was. Before she would even answer my question, and as i was already retrieving my hand, she unnecessarily snapped and asked me to remove my hand. And then she rushed me through the rest of the process. I understood why but it was still unnecessary. I did not appreciate that but i kept my cool. Prices are consistent with other similar fast casual food restaurants. My bowl was a little over $17. The amount of food was just right. Not too much nor too little. Based on this experience i would probably not go back but you can try it for yourself and formulate your own opinion. It would still be a good spot for a quick lunch especially if you are vegetarian or Vegan.

Yes...as previous posts say...get your wallet ready. The food is tasty but not trying relinquish my right arm for some Mediterranean food. Ugh. In the words of John Travolta Faceoff....What a predicament? Thr pita chips are slap yo mama good. What's a hungry chick to do?

We were in the mood for Mediterranean food and have never tried Cava, so I stopped by to pick up a to-go order. On a Saturday at 5:45pm, they were very busy and every table inside was occupied. The ordering line was moving pretty fast and it was only a few minutes before it was my turn to order. The two employees who prepared my order, and the cashier were all friendly and pleasant. I had the Steak + Feta pita ($16.65). When I unwrapped it, I was surprised at how large it was, which help offset the sticker shock. The pita was nice and fresh, and the feta cheese and garlic dressing definitely stood out. The portion of steak was ok, but several pieces were chewy or all gristle. I was almost going to order a side, but I'm glad I didn't since the pita was very filling on its own. I enjoyed it, but I don't know if I would order it again for almost $17. She had the Greek Salad bowl with chicken ($12.95). The salad was a good size with flavorful ingredients. They forgot to add the fiery broccoli that I requested. The salad also contains corn which was not on the online or in-store menu, so be careful if you are allergic or don't care for it. She enjoyed the salad and would order it again. It was a hot day and one of their fresh drinks sounded good, so I tried a small cucumber mint lime ($3.45). It was very refreshing with all flavors present. But it had a lot of chopped up mint in it which gave it a slight graininess, and a lot of the bits kept getting stuck between my teeth. I wouldn't order it again for such a small cup at that price. Overall, it was pretty good. Some of the items are a little on the pricey side, but the portions are pretty big. I would return once in a while, but probably not regularly.

THe food is not bad but your guys starting to be the new chipotle with the servings you guys mad stingy with the chicken you get two spoon fulls and shake the spoon to drop some chicken off then you guys got the smallest spoon shits almost a tea spoon and when you ask for cucumbers they give you one small spoon thats like 3 little pieces of cucumbers, if you're lucky ask for broccoli gave me one spoon half spoon lol. I just show you guys. them workers need raises because i know they save a lot of food for you guys

So glad they opened a Cava in Fullerton, so I no longer have to go down for Irvine to get it. This location has less seating than the Irvine location, but luckily we could eat at the outside tables by Five Guys. I thought the food here was good. However the steak was a bit dry

Brought my daughter to visit csuf and she said we must stop at CAVA. So glad we did. It was delicious. So many choices. Only down side was limited seating. We ended up eating next door at 5 Guys patio area.

I haven't had Cava in years and recently visited when my coworkers suggested we go for lunch. I ordered a wrap and a side of pita chips and a drink. Everything was really good, but I had no idea what I liked or didn't like so I was even thinking, should I give this place another chance? I ended up watching a TikTok that showed up in my algorithm of the best kids meal and Cava had a great one. I got a kids meal my next visit and they were right, it's the best value for your money and I didn't feel over-full after I ate it. For about eight dollars and some change I can get an entree, side, drink and another side. I figured out that I like the grilled chicken wrap with pita chips, strawberry-ade, rice and/or yogurt sauce. I also recommend the pita chips! It reminds me of really good fry bread. The service here is always great. I always get my order via the app and they have it ready by the time I get there OR they are always greeting me when I arrive and let me know my order is almost complete. This location has the worse parking situation (it shares the lot with a gym & Del Taco among other restaurants and shops) and the indoor dining area is for parties of 1 to 2 people, so don't expect to find a big table for all four or more of your friends unless it's a slow day/time. There is a restroom and it's clean. They are located on the southeast corner of State College and Chapman ave.

To be honest, the staff seemed overwhelmed and unprepared. I feel like there were too many workers with no communication so it was confusing them. It was also extremely loud so I kept having to repeat myself until I was screaming what I wanted that them which I did not want it to come to. The food was pretty decent. read more

Cava has great food but when the server is cheap with the lettuce and toppings it is irritating. I asked for more lettuce and was told no and when I asked for more toppings at the end they act like it so difficult to scoop out another spoonful. Interesting that there are a bunch of new reviewers leaving 5 star reviews. This place is awful. No way around it. Lots of hype leading to the opening but they cannot get their ops right. Always out of ingredients. Service is spotty and take out orders constantly go missing or are over 15 minutes late because they prioritize dine in. Tried it twice and all I got was a soggy mess in a bowl or wrapper. Not going to try this place again. read more

Was very excited to try this place, it was recommended by a nurse from St. Jude Fullerton. Unfortunately it was a big bust... considering it was my first time, which I mentioned. The customer service was bad.. I had no help with the options and I even had one girl wearing a bandana dismiss me and gave very much "I don't want to be here" attitude. For spending almost $25 on a bowl that was not that great I give this place a 2.5. Will not be returning unless someone I know really really wants to go. Even then I'll probably only get a drink. read more

I came to this location the day prior and enjoyed the food. Today when I came, the girl who was working, I didn't catch her name but she had some sort of blush and makeup done was extremely rude. While taking my order she was slamming the spoon as I asked her for my choices. Towards the end I realized my order cost more today than yesterday when I got the same exact order and the girl at the register said it depended on how they wanted to charge you. I find that ridiculous that there's an inconsistency on prices due to whoever is working. Wouldn't recommended. read more

It took 25 minutes just to order. The food line was absolutely a mess. It looked like a hurricane just passed through. They ran out of a lot of items at 8 PM and they said they would not be replenishing it anytime soon. The next day we got sick and I think it was from eating the food from cava. They were such a mess in the way they handle the food and (not) keeping up with the food line. They did not clean the line and it looked so gross. Everything looked horrible, so of course if I got sick the next day, I'm going to think that it was from cava. I would not go back to this location again. I have never seen a food line that looked like that. p.s. the staff was fine I terms of interaction but they need to be trained so they can work more efficiently, quicker and with food safety in mind. read more

The girl who took my order looked so unhappy being there. I was there late around 9pm. Most likely college students working there but my gosh she was rude. I will try the Brea location going forth. Also I did not get any pita bread and portions were small. I hope mgmt reads these reviews to make improvements because unhappy employees are driving customers away. read more

The young girl behind the register between 8:10-8:30pm on 12/9 needs a serious customer service course. I've never experienced such awful service. Didn't even acknowledge me when I spoke to her. Every time I order my food for pickup there is an issue. This is the 3rd pickup where they couldn't find my order. After one gentleman gets my name to check on my order, I wait over 10 minutes for him not to return. My order was supposed to be ready by 6:30 - I didn't get it until 7:10 pm. That was only thanks to Mya who was able to take time and look for my order. Unfortunately the worker in the back made it incorrectly. I was missing items, avocado being one that I paid extra for. Would not recommend going here for a pickup order again. read more

First time I went to this location the girl helping with the order had the worst attitude. Looked like she hated her life working there. I understand working customer service sucks sometimes but come on. I decided to give it a second chance and it was the same experience. Idk what's going on that all the workers seem so miserable. 3 stars because I am obsessed with the food here, could eat here every day but the parking lot has made me reconsider almost every time. And the last few times I've been skimped bad on portions. When not ordering meat most food places compensate by giving more of everything else but not here, I barely got rice in my bowl and it was all toppings. This location is close to me but I might have to start going to a farther one to avoid being disappointed. read more

Great food as always! They just opened this location yesterday, so it will have a few growing pains. Love the location, a lot closer to me than the Irvine and Anaheim hills locations. Only down side is it's a bit small and during a rush there will be nowhere to sit. That isn't enough for me to be unsatisfied though! Will definitely be back again. read more

This is what SweetGreens wishes it was. I didn't really know what to get because it's kind of build your own like chipotle so I got the premade Harissa Avocado bowl. It IS very expensive. I paid about $20. But the taste was good. I added tomatoes and it came with a side of pita. I was surprised by how spicy it was! It made my nose run. Very tasty. read more

I usually enjoy Cava, but this location was a big letdown. From the moment we arrived, the staff was rude and inattentive--there wasn't a single smile or ounce of friendliness. One of the workers made my friend's bowl wrong due to her rushing for no reason (being that there was no line behind us), and instead of fixing it with courtesy she threw it away rudely, the next person in line had even more attitude. The customer service here is severely lacking, and it made the whole experience unpleasant. Definitely won't be coming back to this location! read more

Been wanting to try Cava and I finally did. I got a custom bowl and went crazy with the toppings. Instead of listing out all the stuff I did get, it'll be easier to say what I didn't :) The tahini dressing was nutty and delicious. It tied all the various ingredients together. Placed and order through door dash on 8/27/25 and upon arrival of the order it was not sealed and the restaurant forgot the dressings for the salad and the pita chips that we purchased. Went through their online support to get some help because calling the restaurant was a joke to be told that I would have to file through door dash when it was their employees fault. DoorDash doesn't make the food and fill the orders they do. This isn't the first time this has happened with this location. We thought we pulse give them another try since the first time they forgot part of our order as well. Will not be ordering from them again their customer service was crap read more

Me and my coworkers were looking for a spot to eat after work today and we decided to give cava a try for the first time. We noticed the dining room looked very nice as soon as we walked in. It was our first time so we were pretty unsure of what to get but Ivan made our experience amazing and easy to order. His customer service was one of the best I have ever received and I want him to make sure that it didn't go unnoticed! The food was amazing! Very disappointed in this place. It has so much potential but they are way over priced for the serving size. One of my favorite places that is just like this in orange called hummus way has large servings and lots more options for the same price. Another thing to mention they had Brussels sprouts that count as a meat option and you can't get it with the veggie options. Very odd. Will definitely not be back. Very, very disappointed today. Arrived after 1 pm and started our order for 2 bowls with a friendly server. Problems started almost immediately and just kept getting worse. Problem #1: Halfway through we were informed that steak had run out and it would be 20 minutes until it was ready. I opted for chicken instead, but my son wanted steak, so we waited. We were told that they would let us know, but no one ever informed us that steak was ready. Not a very big deal though as he ended up placing his order online and we waited in the restaurant. Problem #2: Order was scheduled for 1:30, but it wasn't brought out until 1:50. 20 minutes late and after not having the meat ready when we were in line? Frustrating! Problem #3: Got to the car and discovered there was no pita included. Decided to go home, as I had leftover pita. We should have checked the rest of the order, but made the mistake not to. Problem #4: Got home and my son started eating. Order was completely wrong. He ordered splendid greens and instead got spinach. He ordered rice but none was in bowl. He is driving all the way back to the store right now to get his bowl redone since so much of it was wrong. I'm hoping they will provide a refund or discount because after all these delays and mistakes, something should be offered. Managers,..... who is checking on food running low to make sure that a new batch is being made in a timely manner? As much as I have enjoyed this food in the past, and as nice as the staff is in general, I will hesitate to return with this type of very poor customer service. Today's mess ups left a very bad taste in my mouth. read more

Hi there! I have been to the new Fullerton Cava location a few times since it has opened, and each time I have been met with friendly workers and excellent food! However, after my visit today it really is going to make me think about returning to this location. Nicole very rudely took my topping order as she rushed me saying "that's it??" in a hostile manner. I had also asked her if she added a sauce to my bowl, to which she responded with, "I already did" and rolled her eyes. Overall her tone was extremely condescending and left me feeling disrespected. read more

Was excited to give this a try given people rave how much this is better than chipotle. It's a bit underwhelming because staff is new and they were super strict with portions and under portioning. People around me willing to pay extra because the person didn't serve them a proper amount. Also many of the toppings ran out and it was 6:30 when I arrived. Like how can you not have anymore Taziki sauce? I honestly felt bad for the guys behind who had to pay for extra protein rice and toppings. Nothing special about the steak, it was cold. The rice tasted different from the Irvine location. Got a steak bowl paid 17.83. Customer service and staff need to be trained better and more inviting. Over priced bowl for the amount given. My favorite Cava location. Gives complimentary pita bread for free. Wait line may range from 5-10 depending on how busy the day is. Great portions given. Would recommend getting the sauce on the side next time because it can get pretty overwhelming on the flavor. read more

If employees hate being there that much, they shouldn't be working in hospitality! Management is also to blame by keeping them employed. When reading some of the other reviews, seems like service is really lacking here and the waiters have major attitude problems. The food is always great, but this type of behavior and level of disrespect makes me never want to come back. I will take my money elsewhere.

So my coworkers have been raving about this place and today I was craving it... I ordered through the door dash app and when it arrived, a third of the items were not in the bag. Big sad. I called the store and spoke to the staff and they told me that this is the third time today this has happened (delivery theft, driver fraud, etc.) and it's been happening a lot lately.....bigger sad. They said I can swing by and they replace the missing items. I walk in, and realized I made a big mistake ordering delivery....the staff were all so welcoming, big smiles, just an all around beautiful and solid staff. This was probably the best Cava I've eaten so far and l've eaten at Cava from Philadelphia to San Diego and all points between. Had a horrible experience at another location last night felt sickening to my stomach. But at this location didn't chintz on the portions and everything was fresh. I usually hit this spot after the gym, this has been my 3rd visit this week. Everything i walk in, they greet you But it gets busy a bit after 8:30 PM. Honestly though, its worth the wait! I usually get splendid greens- with lentils, 2 scoops of Tzatziki, and if i'm feeling spoil, I'll ask for braised lamb- nothing can wrong with lamb ! :) As for toppings, i ask for corn, pickled onions, tomato +cucumber, feta, and a bit of the crisps and to top it off- BALASMIC DATE sauce! My friends always recommend Cava & today's the day that I finally tried it out! I walked in and the place was very clean and inviting. The workers were also so nice and helpful. Right when I walked in I was greeted by the employees, I've been to other Cavas and I think hands down this one is the one I will be coming back to. The food was good everything tasted fresh. I love their Garlic and shug dressings! Also Garlic and balsamic is good combo if you're looking for something sweet!
