After returning 3 months later, I can say the quality is better! The rice has a normal texture, and the service is excellent. The quality of the fish is fresher, and has a good taste. The staff was super understanding and helpful making my order and helping me check out. The space is still clean and friendly, with nice lighting and open seating. I'm happy the company contacted me to come back and try the place again! They don't have a way to scan the QR codes for rewards so make sure you have the app and save your receipts for points. read more

This review is overdue as I've been ordering for a few months now, but wanted to make sure I gave Jerry (hope that's his name) a shout out for helping me today. I was trying to process my online pick up order but was getting frustrated with their online ordering/app- my cc was declining because the cvv code was not working (not sure why) and then my rewards points weren't calculating or tracking for use on the order so I called out of annoyance, and spoke to him. He helped the situation and I got my order just in time for lunch. I ordered the large bowl, 3 protein plate. Rice as a base, ahi tuna, 2 salmon, cucumber, edamame, poke works classic, ponzu, sesame seeds, wonton crisps, and sriracha aioli on the side, and avocado. This by far has been my favorite poke bowl compared to any other poke spot. Always delicious and fresh. 10/10 every time and I will continue to come back. Thanks again for your help Jerry! read more

First time at Pokeworks and it did not disappoint. Loved the store ambiance, it was bright and inviting. The service was great, everyone was friendly and fast! Now the food, it was probably one of the best Poke i had in the area. My proteins were fresh and the sauces were delicious (I got ponzu fresh and umami shoyu). Had Pokeworks for the first time on 2/26/26 for an early dinner. I was looking forward to the meal, seeing that most locations had 4+ stars with thousands of reviews. Upon looking at it, everything seemed fresh and fairly portioned. Unfortunately the white rice was almost inedible. It was hard as if the rice was undercooked or the person cooking it didn't provide enough water. It ruined the entire experience for me and didn't even finish the bowl. Probably will not be coming back to this location as others have had similar issues. Be weary. read more

Tried Pokeworks recently and honestly had a great experience. The ingredients tasted super fresh, portions were solid, and everything was made exactly how I wanted it. The staff was friendly, fast, and patient even during a busy rush. The place was also really clean and had a good vibe overall. Definitely recommend the spicy tuna and the garlic spam musubi if they have it. Great spot if you want something filling that still feels healthy. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

I have tried other pokeworks and they have always been really good. Today, this location was not good at all. We placed an online order for pick up for 2 pokebowls. We only live about 5 mins away. When we got home, the White rice was soggy. The rice was also so hot that it pretty much cooked our fish. Really disappointing. Everything taste like mush. Also, one plate was suppose to be half rice, half salad... it was all rice. Pretty disappointing. Maybe today was an off day (Sunday) read more

I don't usually make reviews but it pissed me off so much i had to make an account to drop a review. I gave a 2 cuz the staff was friendly and the store is clean. the other 3 stars was solely on food and portion sizing. Overall the store is clean and the staff are super friendly. All members welcomed me as i walked in. What annoyed my visit is the pricing and portion servings, i ordered a large bowl for 3 protein scoops. First of all the White Rice portions. like are we in a rice crisis?! if the rice was being saved for James Bola then i'll understand. Chipotle serves more rice than an asian restaurant that focuses on rice with their foods. Second of all, the lady who was serving me gave me 3 scoops of protein to ONLY fit the size of the scoop. Like she filtered the scoop when she scooped out of the bowl till there was almost nothing left on the scoop. I asked her to give me a proper scoop then she charged me extra. I did ask for Masago and i was aware of the .50¢ extra charge $24.24 after tax is crazy for a bowl that was not even half full. I could spend $14 at Chipotle with all toppings INCLUDING Guac and still not reach the $15 limit whilst still leaving the restaurant belly full. I'm an Avg sized man. i'm not overweight and I work out 5 days a week. I sometimes leave chipotle with a full stomach and food left to take home. But this place truly left me disappointed. Next time i'll go to Cava which is right next to Pokeworks just so i can leave with a full stomach. read more

I'm standing in line, and I notice a DoorDash driver comes in to pick up an order. Waits patiently because it is busy and finally ask the worker about her order after waiting 10+ minutes and the worker says "oh I delivered that already" and then the DoorDash driver says, "well it was a big order. I was dispatched to deliver what happened." The store employee turned around and walked away I think that is very disrespectful of a company. I will not be back to this establishment. Have there gonna rip off doordash drivers like that?I do not support them. read more

We ordered 3 bowls for delivery. Only 1 was accurate (the pre-built one). The two custom ones were not right. Furthermore, two of three were 2-protein and the third was a 3-protein. The 3-protein had less fish and rice than the 2-protein bowls. That was another letdown. The only thing I would say is that the flavors were not bad for the one they got right, and the other two were not bad either, but they were not great and not what we ordered. I genuinely dislike this location. It's almost always completely empty. The staff is usually kind and helpful, but the place feels dull and neglected. The drink machine is often broken, there are sometimes flies, and overall it feels like a cheap Yoshinoya knockoff. Portions are inconsistent too--it really depends on how generous the worker feels that day, which shouldn't be a thing. What's more confusing is that this place seems like it should be doing well, but it just isn't. It feels like someone thought they could buy success, slap a concept together, and let it run on autopilot. There's something honorable about food coming from people with real roots--Hawaii, Japan, the fish industry--people who actually care and are present. That's missing here. I never see an owner, never see leadership, never see anyone really trying. Things aren't fixed, there's no energy, no vision. It feels lazy and uninspired. If I owned this place, I'd be there every day--welcoming people, fixing what's broken, dialing in the menu, actually representing island food with pride instead of serving cookie-cutter bowls. Right now it feels like someone is just collecting money from a distance, and it's honestly embarrassing. This isn't about the staff--it never is. When a place feels this lifeless, it's always ownership and management. Until that changes, this spot just feels like a placeholder, waiting for something better to move in. read more

Had an Ahi Tuna and Shrimp bowl and everything was perfect. Rice was just right as if i was eating sushi itself, not dry not mushy. Fish somehow tasted as fresh as when I went to Hawaii, wherever they get the fish is great quality! Had the black garlic aioli mixed with the Sriracha and it was delicious flavor combination. I was served by Fahmi and he was explaing what flavors match with the sauces and the different toppings. Definitely don't forget to add the sarumi salad. It was great to have a knowledgeable and friendly staff, even though I wanted a custom bowl they suggested highly picked combinations of sauces, fish, toppings that tailored the bowl to feel and taste unique. I even appreciated how clean the area was, not sure how they do it when its always full of customers coming in and out but they do a great job with the presentation from the restaurant down to the bowl. 10/10 would recommend and bring friends. read more

Decided to check out the newish pokeworks that opened up near me. It is located right next to the also newish paris baguette. Location is easy to find and easy to get to. The parking lot is pretty busy, likely due to the gym, as well as other restaurants located in the same shopping center. The service was good, nothing out of this world but nice enough. I ordered 2 bowls. There are a good amount of different proteins, including chicken and tofu, as well as good amount of toppings that are included in the price. Scoops and toppings were well portioned, each bowl was about $15 which I felt was fair. Overall a good experience and will come back here again. read more

What made matters worse was that while my order was being prepared, the staff stopped working on it and prioritized a worker's friend who had just arrived, completing their order first. I'm extremely disappointed I came in and now with this whole new law about the paper bags my miso soup fell to the side. The manager clearly stated that the employee who was new forgot to saran wrap however, nobody was helping the new employee and they shouldn't have left him alone on his second date I called the manager was very unprofessional. He was in the background, making noise with the plates doing everything. He wasn't really listening to me as the client. I then again proceeded to ask him how he was gonna compensate me back because it was their fault as he stated, they forgot to saran wrap my miso soup, which means that this is the reason why my bag ripped if the miso soup would've been surrounded wrapped then it wouldn't of fell over and soaked the entire bag, and then my entire meal fell on the floor to top it off when I arrived, the guy told me that he was speaking to the owner who refuse to speak to me, and I find that extremely perfect unprofessional as this was my very first time coming here the manager stated that he was going to replace my meal on top of it, compensate me back for the product that I lost so I ran back over there to get my money and my meal. When I arrived I found out that it was a lie. It was one or the other he not only didn't compensate me for my meal. He continued to smirk and laugh, which is very unprofessional but then again it's a restaurant business. It's not very professional for it being my very first time. I am very disappointed. I did get my money back, but I did not get the meal that I was lied. I spent my lunch time doing this and it really really sucks. So if I could, I wouldn't give them a one star I would give them a zero start because I was very disappointed. I went back for a meal that I was ready to receive. I was ready to have for it being my first time. Yes I got my money back, but I was lied to and told that I was gonna get both my meal back and my compensation overall it's just very unprofessional and just out of an establishment that doesn't abide by what they say and I have it written down for it being a new place that I wanted to try and I was so eager I'm just really disappointed. I should've stayed with going over to downtown Fullerton to their pokey place. It's so sad. I should've checked the reviews before even coming in they definitely don't have the best reviews and the other ones look like they could be family members. More like Poke Not Works. The worst poke I've ever had in socal. Made me miss my 808 Foodland even more. First the musubi I ordered online was not in the bag when I picked up. The huli huli chicken plate looked like it was boiled in a bag and not grilled. The poke portions and toppings were miniscule. The rice was old and just inedible.
