They offer many different options such as wraps, bowls, salads, etc. But why not opt for the "build-your-own"? I built my bowl with lamb, rice and greens, extra toppings and hummus. I appreciated that they let me sample their lamb, because it was really good! Other than enjoying our meal, I noticed the place itself is very clean and bright. I got to try CAVA for the first time after spending an entire school year hearing all about it from my friends. Once we ordered our food and sat down, it got awfully quiet because we were busy eating it up. I built my own bowl with greens and grains. I absolutely love the variety of green options that they have, but I went for the arugula with basmati rice. Next, I added some chicken for protein. I also put red pepper hummus, regular hummus, and feta cheese. Then I went to town with the toppings -- pita crisps, pickled onions, corn, and cucumbers and tomatoes. Cava is so good and if it was cheaper I'd probably go more often. Each bowl being over 15 dollars on average is a bit overpriced but for the convenience and great ingredients, it's an easy guilt free way to get your veggies and protein in one easy meal. Love that if is conveniently located close to a gym too. The workers can be on the slower side it just depends on who is working that day. They are generally very nice though and will ask you what you want. I do notice that they kind of simp out on the portions. Again it goes back to the price vs portion. This is my first time at Cava. Small, fast casual, mediterranean restaurant. Very similar to a Chipotle but for Mediterranean food. Make your own bowl or pita wrap with different types of rice, greens, meats and other toppings. There are about 5 to 6 tables inside and no outdoor seating. The entire store facade is made of glass which brings in a lot of light and gives the space an open feel. The Nice modern interior and the pop music playing in the background gives it a good vibe. The AC was turned on at a perfect temperature. The noise level was medium to loud. I got a bowl with greens as the base. For meats, i got the chicken shawarma and the grilled beef. For toppings i got 2 types of hummus, grilled corn, tomatoes, cucumbers and pickled cabbage. The bowl came with a complimentary but optional slice of greek style pita bread. They also have fountain drinks. The greens and dressing was really good. On the other hand, the meats were not tender at all, cold and dry. As i was making my bowl, i barely stuck my hand over the food bar window to remotely point at an item in order to ask my hostess what the item was. Before she would even answer my question, and as i was already retrieving my hand, she unnecessarily snapped and asked me to remove my hand. And then she rushed me through the rest of the process. I understood why but it was still unnecessary. I did not appreciate that but i kept my cool. Prices are consistent with other similar fast casual food restaurants. My bowl was a little over $17. The amount of food was just right. Not too much nor too little. Based on this experience i would probably not go back but you can try it for yourself and formulate your own opinion. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience today. I ordered a bowl, and the employee serving me didn't even give me full scoops of chicken. The scoops were barely HALF full, and what really upset me was that she actually took chicken OUT of my bowl afterward. I watched her remove pieces even though the portions were already noticeably small. I understand restaurants have portion guidelines, but if I'm paying full price for a meal, I expect to receive the actual portion I'm paying for. I shouldn't have to feel like I'm begging for a normal serving of chicken or watch food literally get taken back out of my bowl. The whole interaction felt unnecessarily stingy and honestly ridiculous. The girl serving me was acting like the chicken was coming out of her paycheck. I normally enjoy coming here, but this employee seriously needs to be retrained on both portion sizes AND basic customer service. I left extremely irritated and disappointed. I have never felt the need to complain about an employee here before, but today's experience was unacceptable. Management needs to make sure employees are consistent with portions because customers should not be paying the same price while receiving significantly less food depending on who happens to be serving them. We were in the mood for Mediterranean food and have never tried Cava, so I stopped by to pick up a to-go order. On a Saturday at 5:45pm, they were very busy and every table inside was occupied. The ordering line was moving pretty fast and it was only a few minutes before it was my turn to order. The two employees who prepared my order, and the cashier were all friendly and pleasant. I had the Steak + Feta pita ($16.65). When I unwrapped it, I was surprised at how large it was, which help offset the sticker shock. The pita was nice and fresh, and the feta cheese and garlic dressing definitely stood out. The portion of steak was ok, but several pieces were chewy or all gristle. I was almost going to order a side, but I'm glad I didn't since the pita was very filling on its own. I enjoyed it, but I don't know if I would order it again for almost $17. She had the Greek Salad bowl with chicken ($12.95). The salad was a good size with flavorful ingredients. They forgot to add the fiery broccoli that I requested. The salad also contains corn which was not on the online or in-store menu, so be careful if you are allergic or don't care for it. She enjoyed the salad and would order it again. It was a hot day and one of their fresh drinks sounded good, so I tried a small cucumber mint lime ($3.45). It was very refreshing with all flavors present. But it had a lot of chopped up mint in it which gave it a slight graininess, and a lot of the bits kept getting stuck between my teeth. I wouldn't order it again for such a small cup at that price. TL;DR: One-star review because I literally could not eat my food that also happened to be sloppy and cold. I ordered a Harissa Avocado bowl for pickup over the weekend. We hadn't been to this location for several months because something always seems to be wrong when we go here. We like the idea of Cava being delicious, and it seems popular, so we've been here about five times since they opened. This will have been our last visit. The harissa honey chicken was cold. Like just-came-out-of-the-refrigerator cold. I picked it up 2 minutes after the confirmation said it would be complete, so it was not sitting long. On top of that it was fatty, it will FILLED with chewy and crunchy gristle, and it was cut so poorly it was basically in three big partially connected hunks. I was willing to forgive this. The bowl itself aesthetically was unappetizing. Plops of hummus, harissa and "Crazy Feta" were thrown in so haphazardly it's obvious the person making it either has ZERO respect for their customers, ZERO respect for their job, or (a bit of conjecture here) maybe so overworked/understaffed that they literally don't have the physical ability to do anything more that squirt bottles of watery sauce all over my bowl like a toddler. I was also willing to forgive this. However, I could not forgive the rock-hard, undercooked lentils. If you are unaware, please look up undercooked lentils. The highlights: "digestion inhibitors", "can be highly toxic to the human body", "can trigger severe gas, bloating, and stomach cramps". These were not slightly undercooked. I thought I was going to break a tooth eating them. I'd say about 80% were normally cooked, but the other 20% were mixed in with every bite, and after eating maybe a third of my bowl I finally gave up and admitted defeat. You win Cava. Your Fullerton location finally broke me. I won't be coming back. Diners beware. read more

I came to this location tonight at 8pm with two of my friends and the experience was disappointing because of the customer service from one employee working the toppings station. She was rude, dismissive, and made all of us feel unwelcome during the ordering process. When I asked for corn, I didn't use the exact wording from the label, and instead of simply clarifying, she acted like she didn't know what I meant until I repeated the full name exactly as written. She then responded in a condescending tone saying, "You know it's not spicy, right?" which felt completely unnecessary. Later, I started asking for pickled onions, and before I could even finish speaking she threw regular pickles into my bowl instead. I hate pickles, but honestly felt too uncomfortable to ask her to remake it because she had already been rude to my friends when they tried correcting parts of their orders too. The food itself was okay, but customer service really affects the overall experience. We all left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome, which is unfortunate because we were excited to try this location. read more

I haven't had Cava in years and recently visited when my coworkers suggested we go for lunch. I ordered a wrap and a side of pita chips and a drink. Everything was really good, but I had no idea what I liked or didn't like so I was even thinking, should I give this place another chance? I ended up watching a TikTok that showed up in my algorithm of the best kids meal and Cava had a great one. I got a kids meal my next visit and they were right, it's the best value for your money and I didn't feel over-full after I ate it. For about eight dollars and some change I can get an entree, side, drink and another side. I figured out that I like the grilled chicken wrap with pita chips, strawberry-ade, rice and/or yogurt sauce. I also recommend the pita chips! It reminds me of really good fry bread. The service here is always great. I always get my order via the app and they have it ready by the time I get there OR they are always greeting me when I arrive and let me know my order is almost complete. This location has the worse parking situation (it shares the lot with a gym & Del Taco among other restaurants and shops) and the indoor dining area is for parties of 1 to 2 people, so don't expect to find a big table for all four or more of your friends unless it's a slow day/time. When I went back, the manager (Viviana) explained that online/app orders are at the mercy of the bowl preparer and advised to make sure you add notes of extra base and toppings to the app. There is no option on the app to add extra base and toppings. If I was able to get Cava everyday, I would. I love their choices in toppings. I always get a steak and chicken bowl with super greens and basmati rice. I recommend the skhug sauce. It's so flavorful and gives the food that extra boost of tastiness! The harissa sauce also offers your bowl that extra spice. I would say it's a 9/10 on spice level so go light if you're sensitive to spice. The food is very filling & I love that cava offers complimentary pita bread each visit! The service was quick. I love Cava. Food is always so good and tasty. Not sure what kind of oils they use but otherwise all the veggies seem really fresh and the meat seems like it's always prepared pretty well. They always give a side of pita bread too. I got black lentils and super greens for my base, eggplant/traditional hummus/harissa for my pastes, half veggies and half falafel for my protein, and all of the toppings. Why I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 was because the seating was weak. They have 4 tables that fit 4 people and 2 tables that fit 2 people so definitely not a Cava restaurant that can hold big parties.
