I love Mediterranean and I also love the concept of Chipotle. Cava gives you both :) Ever since I tried Cava, I fell in love. Cava is basically Chipotle but Mediterranean style and all there ingredients are pretty good. My fave meat to choose would have to be the chicken. I would probably say it's better than the steak just because their steak is a little bit tough. Make your own bowl or get their signature bowls! I usually make my own bowl and the bowl comes with a free piece of pita bread which is really nice. Also, their Cucumber Mint Lime Juice is pretty good too. I've been so hooked on Cava that I even got their app. It makes it so easy to order and pick it up :) Theee best. read more

This is a quick service Mediterranean build-your-own-bowl spot is basically a salad bar with a PhD - grains, leafy vegetables, protein,, and sides like hummus. Healthy eating done right. Go easy on the dressing or sauces or you'll be swimming, not dining! read more

Quick bite without foregoing the flavor. My nephew was right when he said it's like chipotle, but Mediterranean. And quite delicious too! They offer many different options such as wraps, bowls, salads, etc. But why not opt for the "build-your-own"? I built my bowl with lamb, rice and greens, extra toppings and hummus. I appreciated that they let me sample their lamb, because it was really good! Other than enjoying our meal, I noticed the place itself is very clean and bright. My sister and I joked we get the best selfies here lol. I am now a Cava fan! And will definitely return in the future. read more

I've gone here a couple of times now, and I'm obsessed! I ordered the Steak & Feta. Even if it's busier, the lines go by quickly. Staff is always super friendly. I went around 11:20am and the three women at the front were so nice! Reminding me that I can change out ingredients if I'd like to. I was bummed when I tried to leave a tip & was told they don't accept them! They deserve it! A yelp review will have to suffice. Thanks girls (: read more

I got to try CAVA for the first time after spending an entire school year hearing all about it from my friends. Once we ordered our food and sat down, it got awfully quiet because we were busy eating it up. I built my own bowl with greens and grains. I absolutely love the variety of green options that they have, but I went for the arugula with basmati rice. Next, I added some chicken for protein. I also put red pepper hummus, regular hummus, and feta cheese. Then I went to town with the toppings -- pita crisps, pickled onions, corn, and cucumbers and tomatoes. The food was great, service was friendly, but there weren't many seats since it's such a small restaurant. My friend and I were lucky that one opened up after we ordered our food. read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch to go. They were busy but the line moved quickly. Staff was friendly overall and it was helpful to have the small signs on the glass to see what each of the items were. Portions were ok.. Not generous but not stingy. The food was yummy and overall tasty. read more

I usually never have an issue with Cava. However this Cava I'm a bit concerned with. I pay about 13 dollars for a build your own, and the amount of rice is decent and chicken. Then when you start putting other toppings I kid you not, each topping the girl was putting yesterday was probably a table spoon and when she put the lettuce it was probably a few pieces. I had to ask her to put more scoops because it's barely anything. Chipotle usually puts a little more on toppings and they charge 10 bucks for their bowls. So I don't know what happened from the last time I went here and how they serve the toppings now. But I have to admit it was a bit disappointing. read more

Cava is so good and if it was cheaper I'd probably go more often. Each bowl being over 15 dollars on average is a bit overpriced but for the convenience and great ingredients, it's an easy guilt free way to get your veggies and protein in one easy meal. Love that if is conveniently located close to a gym too. The workers can be on the slower side it just depends on who is working that day. They are generally very nice though and will ask you what you want. I do notice that they kind of simp out on the portions. Again it goes back to the price vs portion. Also love Cava's multiple drink options that aren't soda. And you can grab as many utensils or napkins as you want. Parking: free in plaza read more

This CAVA is right next to my gym, so it's super convenient for a post-workout meal! It's always on point and hits every time. The only downside is they sometimes run out of certain proteins, which is kind of a bummer. read more

Healthy and yummy! You have to figure out which sauces you like to mix with your bowl for the best experience. I didn't have meat. Instead I ordered sweet potatoes and falafels. The sweet potatoes are the best. I choose only those next time. Thier service is great. This restaurant stays packed. 1st visit: Yummy!! Their bowls taste amazing and healthy for you. I genuinely love CAVA and have gone to numerous locations and this one is by far the most stingy on portions. The guy serving me was literally giving me on a tiny spoon of every topping I would ask for. Not to consider that it's 4PM and they didn't have steak or the honey chicken available which is ridiculous. Managing here must be horrible. The portions here are humorous. read more

This is my first time at Cava. Small, fast casual, mediterranean restaurant. Very similar to a Chipotle but for Mediterranean food. Make your own bowl or pita wrap with different types of rice, greens, meats and other toppings. There are about 5 to 6 tables inside and no outdoor seating. The entire store facade is made of glass which brings in a lot of light and gives the space an open feel. The Nice modern interior and the pop music playing in the background gives it a good vibe. The AC was turned on at a perfect temperature. The noise level was medium to loud. I got a bowl with greens as the base. For meats, i got the chicken shawarma and the grilled beef. For toppings i got 2 types of hummus, grilled corn, tomatoes, cucumbers and pickled cabbage. The bowl came with a complimentary but optional slice of greek style pita bread. They also have fountain drinks. The greens and dressing was really good. On the other hand, the meats were not tender at all, cold and dry. As i was making my bowl, i barely stuck my hand over the food bar window to remotely point at an item in order to ask my hostess what the item was. Before she would even answer my question, and as i was already retrieving my hand, she unnecessarily snapped and asked me to remove my hand. And then she rushed me through the rest of the process. I understood why but it was still unnecessary. I did not appreciate that but i kept my cool. Prices are consistent with other similar fast casual food restaurants. My bowl was a little over $17. The amount of food was just right. Not too much nor too little. Based on this experience i would probably not go back but you can try it for yourself and formulate your own opinion. It would still be a good spot for a quick lunch especially if you are vegetarian or Vegan. read more

I asked for double chicken. Double, meaning two portions. Suffice it to say, a starving medieval peasant who hasn't eaten unspoiled meat in his entire life would have been disappointed by this amount of chicken. Here's the kicker: I asked for a tadddd bit more chicken. Instead of fulfilling my very simple and respectful request, I was rudely rebuked by the manager, who rhetorically asked, "How many scoops?" I responded, "Four," to which he sardonically said, "Well, that's a double portion. You can pay for triple," before even giving me the opportunity to explain that the "scoops" weren't even half full! The amount of corporate greed in America is sickening. I hope you stuff yourselves full on my 1/10th of a penny in additional margins. AVOID!! read more

Very disappointed with my CAVA order. I paid around $28 for a bowl through the app, and several items I selected were missing. The bowl was basically filled with sauce with barely any rice greens or protein. The amount of steak was extremely small. I called to complain and was only offered a free bowl if I came back to the restaurant. I ordered delivery for a reason and they couldn't even offer a delivery solution. I placed a pickup order and was originally told it would be ready around 12:37 PM. At 12:37, I received another message saying the order was delayed, and it ultimately wasn't ready until 12:55 PM I wouldn't have minded waiting a little longer if the order had been correct, but after getting home, I realized my bowl was missing both the chicken and tomatoes I ordered. The bag label even clearly listed chicken as part of the bowl. It's really frustrating to wait an extra 15 minutes for an order and then find out that one of the main components of the meal was completely left out. I paid for a full meal and expected to receive what I ordered, especially after the additional wait. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. read more

We were in the mood for Mediterranean food and have never tried Cava, so I stopped by to pick up a to-go order. On a Saturday at 5:45pm, they were very busy and every table inside was occupied. The ordering line was moving pretty fast and it was only a few minutes before it was my turn to order. The two employees who prepared my order, and the cashier were all friendly and pleasant. I had the Steak + Feta pita ($16.65). When I unwrapped it, I was surprised at how large it was, which help offset the sticker shock. The pita was nice and fresh, and the feta cheese and garlic dressing definitely stood out. The portion of steak was ok, but several pieces were chewy or all gristle. I was almost going to order a side, but I'm glad I didn't since the pita was very filling on its own. I enjoyed it, but I don't know if I would order it again for almost $17. She had the Greek Salad bowl with chicken ($12.95). The salad was a good size with flavorful ingredients. They forgot to add the fiery broccoli that I requested. The salad also contains corn which was not on the online or in-store menu, so be careful if you are allergic or don't care for it. She enjoyed the salad and would order it again. It was a hot day and one of their fresh drinks sounded good, so I tried a small cucumber mint lime ($3.45). It was very refreshing with all flavors present. But it had a lot of chopped up mint in it which gave it a slight graininess, and a lot of the bits kept getting stuck between my teeth. I wouldn't order it again for such a small cup at that price. Overall, it was pretty good. Some of the items are a little on the pricey side, but the portions are pretty big. I would return once in a while, but probably not regularly. read more

I normally go to this location and it's been good every time I go, but when I did the pick up order option today, the portion was less than normal and they did not include some of the ingredients I requested. They also included like 4 pieces of cucumber in my bowl when normally I get a scoop. It just looked like my bowl was half empty when I did not eliminate any of the normal add ons I get. I understand that there was a rush, but I felt like I did not get my moneys worth. I've been reading the reviews of others and seems like this is a normal occurrence. Just something to consider for future reference when ordering at this location, it's better to order there, not pick up.... read more

TL;DR: One-star review because I literally could not eat my food that also happened to be sloppy and cold. I ordered a Harissa Avocado bowl for pickup over the weekend. We hadn't been to this location for several months because something always seems to be wrong when we go here. We like the idea of Cava being delicious, and it seems popular, so we've been here about five times since they opened. This will have been our last visit. The harissa honey chicken was cold. Like just-came-out-of-the-refrigerator cold. I picked it up 2 minutes after the confirmation said it would be complete, so it was not sitting long. On top of that it was fatty, it will FILLED with chewy and crunchy gristle, and it was cut so poorly it was basically in three big partially connected hunks. I was willing to forgive this. The bowl itself aesthetically was unappetizing. Plops of hummus, harissa and "Crazy Feta" were thrown in so haphazardly it's obvious the person making it either has ZERO respect for their customers, ZERO respect for their job, or (a bit of conjecture here) maybe so overworked/understaffed that they literally don't have the physical ability to do anything more that squirt bottles of watery sauce all over my bowl like a toddler. I was also willing to forgive this. However, I could not forgive the rock-hard, undercooked lentils. If you are unaware, please look up undercooked lentils. The highlights: "digestion inhibitors", "can be highly toxic to the human body", "can trigger severe gas, bloating, and stomach cramps". These were not slightly undercooked. I thought I was going to break a tooth eating them. I'd say about 80% were normally cooked, but the other 20% were mixed in with every bite, and after eating maybe a third of my bowl I finally gave up and admitted defeat. You win Cava. Your Fullerton location finally broke me. I won't be coming back. Diners beware. read more

I usually love going to cava but lately I've gone out my way to go to a different location 30 minutes out, than to this one. It's been multiple times now that the same workers will give me the stingiest portions possible. I kid you not that the proteins won't even cover the bottom of the kids meal with maybe a tablespoon full of rice. Other times if I see certain workers on shift, I'd rather just leave since I know I'm gonna get maybe half of what I actually paid for. There's also been an instance where a worker yelled at me for pointing at what rice I wanted without even going over the sneeze guard, I told this to my friend and she said that the same thing happened to her with the same female worker. With pricing increasing I don't believe that the service nor ambience of this location is worth the price. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience today. I ordered a bowl, and the employee serving me didn't even give me full scoops of chicken. The scoops were barely HALF full, and what really upset me was that she actually took chicken OUT of my bowl afterward. I watched her remove pieces even though the portions were already noticeably small. I understand restaurants have portion guidelines, but if I'm paying full price for a meal, I expect to receive the actual portion I'm paying for. I shouldn't have to feel like I'm begging for a normal serving of chicken or watch food literally get taken back out of my bowl. The whole interaction felt unnecessarily stingy and honestly ridiculous. The girl serving me was acting like the chicken was coming out of her paycheck. I normally enjoy coming here, but this employee seriously needs to be retrained on both portion sizes AND basic customer service. I left extremely irritated and disappointed. I have never felt the need to complain about an employee here before, but today's experience was unacceptable. Management needs to make sure employees are consistent with portions because customers should not be paying the same price while receiving significantly less food depending on who happens to be serving them. Very frustrating experience and definitely not what I expected. read more

I came to this location tonight at 8pm with two of my friends and the experience was disappointing because of the customer service from one employee working the toppings station. She was rude, dismissive, and made all of us feel unwelcome during the ordering process. When I asked for corn, I didn't use the exact wording from the label, and instead of simply clarifying, she acted like she didn't know what I meant until I repeated the full name exactly as written. She then responded in a condescending tone saying, "You know it's not spicy, right?" which felt completely unnecessary. Later, I started asking for pickled onions, and before I could even finish speaking she threw regular pickles into my bowl instead. I hate pickles, but honestly felt too uncomfortable to ask her to remake it because she had already been rude to my friends when they tried correcting parts of their orders too. The food itself was okay, but customer service really affects the overall experience. We all left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome, which is unfortunate because we were excited to try this location. read more

I haven't had Cava in years and recently visited when my coworkers suggested we go for lunch. I ordered a wrap and a side of pita chips and a drink. Everything was really good, but I had no idea what I liked or didn't like so I was even thinking, should I give this place another chance? I ended up watching a TikTok that showed up in my algorithm of the best kids meal and Cava had a great one. I got a kids meal my next visit and they were right, it's the best value for your money and I didn't feel over-full after I ate it. For about eight dollars and some change I can get an entree, side, drink and another side. I figured out that I like the grilled chicken wrap with pita chips, strawberry-ade, rice and/or yogurt sauce. I also recommend the pita chips! It reminds me of really good fry bread. The service here is always great. I always get my order via the app and they have it ready by the time I get there OR they are always greeting me when I arrive and let me know my order is almost complete. This location has the worse parking situation (it shares the lot with a gym & Del Taco among other restaurants and shops) and the indoor dining area is for parties of 1 to 2 people, so don't expect to find a big table for all four or more of your friends unless it's a slow day/time. There is a restroom and it's clean. They are located on the southeast corner of State College and Chapman ave. read more

Went to this Cava at least 4 times and most the workers are either passive aggressive or extremely rude with an attitude ? Recently went there to try to get some food, came too early (less than 30 minutes before they open) and when I asked one of the girl workers that wears heavy makeup what time they open, she decided to make a disgusted face at me and point to the door?? Why are you irritated by such a simple question then proceeded to be immature enough to make a face in a "professional" setting. I get not having high energy to greet customers in the morning but she did have the energy to have an attitude and act offended for asking what time they open. Response could've been as short as "11:30". Instead of waiting until then, I just left and walked over to Paris Baguette. It's genuinely sad because Cava's food is decent but their workers do not have any experience with good customer service. Will definitely be telling others not to go to this specific location. read more
