Had lunch at Cava a few days ago. I love Mediterranean foods and was looking forward to trying this cafe. While the food was cooked properly is was not seasoned at all! Mediterranean spices are not all hot and spicy but do add a distinct flavor to the food. The food was bland. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION Ordered ahead for a simple bowl because I was in a rush and needed to hit the road. Pick up time was at 12:45pm (25 minutes after I ordered). I show up at 12:50pm and they haven't even started my order. I didn't get my food until 1:05pm and my order was WRONG. 40 minutes to make a basic bowl. Worst service ever. No silverware at the counter, and it took 5 minutes to even get that. No apologies or even acknowledgement from management. They are either understaffed or inefficient and from what I witnessed, it's both. Go to other locations unless you have time to waste. Or go to Roti like I will next time. read more

I had a greens and grains bowl with the falafel - so crispy and soft! The flavors on the hummus and dressings are deep and the textures of everything come together so well. And don't get me started on the lemonades!! Normally I don't get drinks at these kinds of restaurants, but they have such fragrant and delicious lemonade flavors. Stopped in for some lunch before exploring downtown Dallas. It's a fast casual Mediterranean spot. I had a build your own salad bowl with lots of fresh mixed greens, roasted eggplant, hummus, and lemon tahini dressing. It was all so fresh and hit the spot. Don't go! Rude staff! They don't open till 1045 but the line anytime after that is about 30 people deep because they are so slow. One of the staff is always on her phone and was rude and asked my about my well behaved labs outside and if they bite? No they don't bite and they are allowed on patio! She made a scene in front of everyone. I have never ever had an issue with my well behaved older labs being outside on a patio! Save your time and money for business with nice staff. read more

While the food is delicious and this place has become a recent favorite of mine, the customer service is why my rating is so low. Every time I come in, the staff members seem nonchalant and almost bothered to help me. I'm never greeted and when asking questions about certain things, they are unhelpful or unknowledgeable. Recently, I was waiting for about 5 minutes as 4 other members stood around and 1 slowly changed out the sauces. At one point, another member of the team walked by and when asked by her coworker to take my order, she simply kept walking and did not return. There was another time where I ordered delivery and my sauce was forgotten (the best part). When I explained what happened they handed me the sauce and were unapologetic but instead snickering. I've learned that this place can be a hit or miss. Going inside to order at the counter goes a long way. My experiences via the app have produced questionable bowls. This place is one of my quick lunch staples and on a good day I am very satisfied with the fresh topping options and service. My go to is the harissa chicken greens+grains bowl with spinach and rice. The heat level on the harissa can vary as well so watch out if you are sensitive to spice. This location has definitely started to portion control it's servings. I picked up a bowl today and it was barely 1/2 way full and I pay on a ton of toppings. I guess we can blame it on inflation and rises food costs. All that to say, I will return. I had lunch today at Cava in Plano. The food was delicious, but the service and the place's cleanliness were. The place was dirty and disorganized. There was trash on the floor. The counter was not cleaned, and with food all over. Also, many of the toppings are dropped in the container of other ingredients because the employees are not careful. Also, they were running out of many ingredients, and nobody proactively replenished them, making clients wait. It was not because they were busy because it was 3pm and there were only 3 clients in line. read more

The team said they don't sell any pre-packaged tubs but can sell me some as a side and give three scoops-a total dream! Headed over, got in line and ordered lunch while I was at it and it just so happened that the person helping me had also taken my phone call. As he was ringing up my order he said, "just charged you for the pita, the spread is on us today since you weren't able to find any at the store!" How nice was that?! It's great to find a place my husband and I can both agreeably eat at since I'm plant based/vegan and he is definitely not. Only reason I'm taking off a star is because the difference between ordering on Uber Eats/anywhere other than the Cava app yields drastically different results. We've driven to Cava twice because our Uber Eats order was wrong which is obviously so annoying. I'm so happy that Cava is open in Uptown close to where I live! I think it will be a great quick, healthy and flavorful meal to add to my fast-casual restaurant rotation! I was just telling my husband that I wish there was a good casual falafel spot near us, and just a couple of days later, we come across the grand opening for Cava! Cava originated in the Washington D.C. area. Think Chipotle style concept, but I would say with more options for toppings and sauces. We're vegetarian, and we got the saffron rice and grain bowl with falafel and toppings. The bowl comes with a pita bread piece. I really like tzatziki dip, and they had lots of other yogurt and spicy sauces to pick from. I got fresh mint as a topping, which added a nice touch of freshness and a more complex and herby flavor to the bowl. Be careful with the harissa- they put a whole scoop, and it gets spicy quickly! I tried the blueberry lavender lemonade, which was flavorful and refreshing without being too sweet. We'll definitely be back! read more

The food was fresh as I expect from Cava and enjoyed my bowl. I like the Saffron rice with chicken. I can add the harissa sauce on anything, it's so good. I normally go to the Turtle Creek location because they are always consistent and clean. Today, I was near Uptown and stopped in. I saw the lady I always see at Turtle Creek at this location. We were SO happy when a location opened up right near the office, and were one of the first customers to rush in for fresh, delicious options. We've had a little bit of everything on the menu - from the meatballs to the chicken, and are especially in love with the greens and grains option. For new CAVA lovers - you order at CAVA by deciding on a base, a protein, sauces, and then toppings. You can use a nutrition calculator online if you are careful with macros, but for the most part CAVA always delivers on super filling and healthy options. Would highly recommend! read more

I gotta do better if you're gonna work for a great business like Cava. The fork/knives section is disgusting, trash in the canister where the forks and knives go. The workers are very messy. One of the larger workers, literally scratched their ear with the food gloves before touching my food. Why are you wearing gloves if you're gonna do that? Unsanitary. Unsanitary, unsanitary. Cava is truly the Chipotle of Mediterranean food. I went here with a couple of friends and we were all raving about it. I got a bowl with pita bread on the side. The workers were friendly and patient as it was my first time there. The portions were huge and I saved half of it for my lunch the next day.
