Outstanding Service, Fresh Food, Genuinely Kind Staff Stopped into CAVA Uptown around 9:00 PM on a Monday, and this was hands-down THE best Cava experience and one of the best experiences I've had at a fast-casual spot. Victor was building our bowls, and he was phenomenal. These assembly-line restaurants can feel rushed, but he was attentive, easygoing, and actually engaged. I had a lot of questions about the proteins (freshness, differences day to day, what was best that evening) and he took the time to explain everything honestly. He made thoughtful recommendations based on what had just been prepared and dietary needs, without rushing or making it awkward. The bowl itself was well balanced, generous, and incredibly fresh. Everything tasted really good, you can absolutely tell when the ingredients have just been made. At checkout, Sam was unbelievably kind and welcoming. She reminded us pita bread was included, joked with us, and made the whole interaction feel warm and genuine. She even congratulated me on my soon-to-be-born son, which honestly meant more than she probably realized. I had to give her a big hug which she kindly welcomed. That moment alone made my night. Threw in a few drinks on the house. Asked if we lied nearby and said she absolutely wanted us to come back in. Luisa was also wonderful and had me try a mix of the Tangerine Aleppo drink with the classic lemonade, which was delicious! For a late Monday night, this team was top-tier. We decided to stop here for a late lunch after the museum. Cava has been on my list for the longest time since I've heard so many people talk about it. When we arrived, the place was practically empty except for one customer. There are many seats available and reminded me of Chipotle. We weren't sure what to get so ended up picking one of the chef-curated bowls - Harissa Avocado since it was a fan fave. It also came with a small pita bread. The bowl had the perfect amount of chicken and other ingredients - cucumber and tomato mix. Also enjoyed the vinaigrette that was used. This bowl was more than enough for the both of us since we weren't too hungry. I would like to try Steak+Harissa next time I stop by or even build my own bowl. Another "TikTok made me do it" review! Today's Saturday Selection: CAVA. The location was clean, bright, and welcoming. I ordered the Kid's Pita Meal, which comes with your choice of brown or white rice plus pita chips. I went with the white rice. Let me brag on those homemade pita chips paired with the tzatziki. When I say it was a vibe I never saw coming. Golden, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Inside my pita, I loaded up with grilled chicken, fire-roasted corn, the tomato/cucumber mix, dill yogurt, and Greek vinaigrette. The flavors blended so well together. The kid's meal also includes a drink, and I tried the Cucumber Mint Lime. It was refreshing and surprisingly addicting. Shout-out to TikTok for the recommendation. I can't wait to go back and try different combinations. Next on my list: pairing the Crazy Feta with those pita chips. The portion was just enough to satisfy my appetite without feeling heavy. Finally 4 ppl come out from the back & they just walk past me while I stand at the register. They're all talking & didn't acknowledge me & I'm clearly making eye contact. Dang I just tired cava for the first time at my job and I thought it was MID. I heard really great things about this place but I think I have to go get it fresh cuz they brought it catered and one of the steak pieces I bit was hard and non chewable. Also, it was cold so I had cold rice and cold steak but I couldn't warm it up because there were veggies in it that were meant to be cold. Overall the taste wasn't bad with the sauce included in. Cava is my secret go to spot because it hits all the marks for me as an avid fitness enthusiast who has strict nutrition goals. I'm able to pick between steak or chicken for protein and from an assortment of veggies! My favorite has to be the pickled onions, just the right amount of zest! And watch out they even have avocado if you're feeling like treating yourself. (available an extra charge) This particular location has a nice patio area and I've almost always sat outside when I visit this location. The inside seems a bit too dim for me but I bet it's the best place to be during those Texas hot summers, I'll have to report back then! read more

This review is not about the food but the service I received today. The girl who was cashiering at around 3:45pm today was very rude for no reason. I wanted an extra dressing on top of the 2 that come with my bowl and I was being attended by one of the guys on the line when all of a sudden the cashier appears out of nowhere to say I could only have 2 dressings with my bowl. She refused to give me the sauce that was already dispensed into the to-go container by the guy that was finishing my bowl. I had no problem with paying for the extra dressing but she said "we don't do that." Wtf? I've never been to a restaurant where someone just straight up refused to give me another sauce of any kind. I usually stop by this CAVA after the lunch rush and every time the experience feels disappointing. Ingredients like avocado are often brown or unavailable, the line looks messy.I understand it's after a busy time, but the quality and freshness should still be there. The staff seem tired and overwhelmed, which points to a management issue more than the employees themselves. Your better off going to another location. The food here taste very different. I don't think they are folllowing the recipes or take pride in what they are doing. This time I decided to order ahead of time using my app. I ordered to bowls 1) Market Spicy Bowl and 2) Harissa avocado bowl. I had requested pita crisps, pita bread in both the bowls. This new eatery is trying to steal my soul!! When I first heard of Cava, someone explained it as "Mediterranean Chipotle" and baby, I was sold! I can't really explain how happy the amount of variety and flavor, that this place has, makes me feel. But if I could get close I'd say....Clean Buddha Belly Bliss! At Cava, everything is laid in front of you, assembly line style, where you pick your poison. Do you want a bowl? A pita? A plate? A salad? Move down. Do you want greens? Do you want rice? Do you want lentils? Move down. Chicken? LAMB (10/10 would recommend)? Kebab? Roasted veggies? Move down. Then you get to the holy heaven part of the line, where there are tons of juicy, or spicy, or ooey or gooey veggies and sauces to top it all off, from tomatoes and onions, corn?(kinda strange in Mediterranean food to me, but apparently it's a thing), Hummus, tzaziki, eggplant(fave!), the selections go on and on!!! By the time you've reached the end of the line and they shove, shove, shove that clear plastic top on your bowl (if you got a bowl like me) your mouth will be watering and your spidey senses should be tingling, that you're about to have a darn good meal!! I love the food at CAVA, everything generally tastes great, and I have no complaints for the most part. The only exception is the falafel, which tastes overly starchy and not quite like a traditional falafel. I'd recommend trying other options instead. read more

(I'd discovered them in a Robinhood Snacks Financial Digest email last week - the article was actually about Wendy's potential surge pricing.) Inside seating seems cool. PARKING: it can be a challenge, depending on time visited. Parking on a slight hill decline... takes 5% more mental focus to get it in there just right the first time. Leaving is just an issue of patience, as you're right at an intersection. PRICING: on the upper end for lunch for 1 person. I probably should've gotten just 1 pita, but wanted to try 2 different things on initial visit. The large drink, (closer to a medium)... couldn't taste the pineapple or apple. I do feel like i tasted the Pine, tho. They were out of blueberry lavender drink, which I'll try next time or next week or tomorrow. ) The 4* is for insufficient (imo) marketing. My friend introduced me to CAVA!!!!!!!!! I loved this place so much that I downloaded the APP for faster service. I was going here a lot on my lunch breaks and it got superb busy that the line was out the door. To skip all that, thank god there is an APP! You have to ordered a couple hours ahead of time or the scheduled time close to what you want when ordering won't be available.. Customer service is awesome! Everyone is extremely nice and helpful! The food was really good per usual but here's my issue. Soo initially i was gonna try something else but i went w the harissa chicken. They barely put any chicken in it and when i asked for extra portion NOT DOUBLE the lady told me the price for double and i was like nah i dont really want that just a lil more. Management needs to observe and be aware of employee working the online order pickup (as well as cashier who enabled her) on Thursday 4/10 at lunch time. Today there was a pile of completed online order bags and crowd of us simply wanting our online order that was ready, but employee continued to ignored us asking for our online orders and told us to wait while the girl continued to complete new online orders. Finally because several customers including myself kept asking for our bags that were ready she finally gave us our bags. It was 10 bags ready and 10 people waiting in line.
