We're so excited for Cava to be open in our area! We ordered online and it was very seamless. Cava takes the Chipotle model and adds the Mediterranean flare. The quality of the food is really great and would definitely recommend others come here. The food is outstanding for the ease of it being almost akin to fast food in terms of speed and ease. The only reason it's not a 5-star review is because your experience will vary drastically depending on the person making your bowl. If you're lucky and get someone generous, your bowl can easily be 10% more in terms of food than someone less generous. Moreover, when ordering online, it's very apparent that there is wide variance in serving size. Once, we ordered and there was barely any food in the bowls. We reached out to customer service and they were able to make us whole, but still, it wasn't the best experience. But if you're willing to tolerate all of that, the food is great. read more

This specific location has always had issues with service. Multiple times that I've visited the portions were very minimal. However, the last time I ordered online from this location I specifically put double portions on everything and when I got my order each topping was literally less than what a single portion would be. I can count the toppings with my fingers. And one topping was just missing altogether. Never ordering here again. read more

Was skeptical at first because this isn't my type of food but it was so good. I love the DIY concept. But being able to crate your own bowl is great. I'm surprised the spicy sauce wasn't as bad when I got it either. their tzatziki sauce paired with the spicy sauce, rice & protein are so good. This has been my favorite cava to go to (and I've been to ALOT!). They are extremely efficient. My to go orders are always ready prior to the estimated time and they get my order CORRECT!!! That means the world to me as a girly who makes edits and is particular. Also, the food is GOODT. Like I said, I've been to a Ton of Cavas and tho they generally taste similarly, some times you'll find a spot with a lil extra umph. This one has the umph and they don't skimp on the portions either. As far as set up/decor it's your usual CAVA by design. I'd say average size in comparison to other locations. I've eaten at Cava many times and usual enjoy the food. Today I ordered online for a noon pick up. Got there at noon and food wasn't ready. A woman asked for my name and didn't come back. 2 minutes later she was leaving for a break or something. I waited another 8 minutes and could have just gone through the line by this point. Then another woman came out and said they were backed up and encouraged us to get in the long line to order. I waited in that line and then my name was called back at the initial order. Better to under promise on time and over deliver. The bowl had lots of hard green stems that needed to but thrown out or cut down in to smaller bites and the bowl tasted dry. Today was the first time that I actually felt a little bit uncomfortable in the store and when I got to ordering my food, usually I never have a problem and I never had to ask for extra scoops with my bowls if I'm not mistaken, the bowl comes with three scoops and she only gave me one and I had to ask for extra and then when it came to giving me my braced lamb, I feel like she was low-key skimping me and she was picking over the big pieces that was on the top to give me the tiny shreds at the bottom and when I looked over to the person that was before me she was giving them hefty scoops of chicken so I did not like that, for someone that's paying an extra five dollars I feel like I should've gotten them more read more

Terrible first experience! My DoorDash order was missing rice and pita bread. I called the store and the manager Cory said they ran out of both of those items at 8:30PM when they close at 10PM, just terrible. This CAVA location has a nice ambiance, good food, and friendly workers, which I appreciate. The staff is always welcoming, and the overall atmosphere makes for a pleasant dining experience. However, the pita chips are always cold and that's disappointing. They never offer to make fresh ones which is frustrating especially since I come here often. If I'm spending my money I would rather go to another location where I can get the full experience and actually enjoy my meal. They failed to change their gloves and touching germ infested equipment then picking up food items to put in the customer's plates. Another person in the back was handling and cutting up cooked meat for the servers. All the tables were nasty as well as the floors. ALL the drinks were watered down, tasteless. I was excited to have a CAVA in Carson. It's always good when new restaurants move into the area and not just the typical fast food restaurants. I've been three times. Restaurant was clean and customer service was good. My only complaint was the consistency of the portion sizes. First time portion size was nice, my bowl was full. Second time I ordered thru the app for pick up. Don't do that. I ordered 3 bowls and all 3 bowls were done poorly, barely any food. Third time the portion size was okay. I had to tell them when certain food items looked scarce in my bowl. I have already complained about this issue and I was assured they are addressing it. For the prices they charge the consistency has to be there or I will have to stick with On +On in Gardena. read more

This place in fairly new at the the Carson mall . While I was in town I decided to go check it out because it was still open after I got out of the gym. The place is like a Mediterranean fast food chipotle. You can get from their specialty bowls , salads and wraps. Or what everyone was getting which was build your own bowls , wraps and salads. I decided because it was my first time and I got one of the spicy wrap ( can't remember the name ) . But it was sorta pricey ( $17) . But they did loaded up and all the ingredients were fresh . The staff was friendly as well and worked super fast to get my order done on time . The wrap was spicy but super delicious and it was extremely loaded so it was almost justified that it was pricey. I did go another time and got a build your own bowls and it was cheaper but still they really loaded up .They also have an app that you can order before hand which is helpful. The seating area is clean and well kept the time I was there waiting for one of my orders. All in all it is a solid place to get a healthier fast food meal compared to the other options at the mall. Second trip to CAVA in a month. I haven't been eating animal flesh for a minute so I got the Falafel Crunch Bowl both times. This review is commenting on my 2nd trip since I ordered for myself and got everything I wanted in the bowl--extras of falafel, roasted vegetables, and feta cheese I got the pita strips, a few tomatoes and pickled red onions. The bowl came with rice and black lentils. It was a nice size bowl - so I was happy. What I got was a killer combination. The bowl was sooooooo flavorful. I don't know that I've had a bowl that good even with meat in it. I had never had falafel so I'm not sure what other restaurants' falafels taste like. But these were delicious and cummin-ny with tender garbanzo beans. They are kinda like hush puppies. The roasted vegetables didn't look that appetizing but were delicious. Just everything was delicious about that bowl and the sauces I selected were the perfect complement. The bowl gave me two meals (I added a few more veggies on the 2nd day.) I can't wait to go back. CAVA you did a great job with that Falafel Crunch combo and made my meal a delightful eating experience. I gave CAVA a 5 because of the food, but my server wasn't really friendly. I asked a couple of questions to ensure I knew what I was trying and she wasn't as communicative/helpful as she could have been. (1 Star) We decided to try CAVA today, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from start to finish. When we arrived, the door sign said they opened at 10:45 AM, but when we walked in at 11:00 AM, we were greeted with attitude and told they wouldn't be opening until 11:15 because they were behind. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and walked around the mall for a bit, returning at 11:30. When we came back, the restaurant looked like it hadn't been cleaned from the night before the floors were dirty, tables hadn't been wiped down, and the seats were messy. The customer service was just as disappointing. Yvette, in particular, had a noticeably rude and unwelcoming attitude. To make things worse, they were completely out of feta cheese, and when we ordered pita chips, they recommended a dipping sauce but didn't mention it was an extra charge even though the chips really needed it. The food itself was good, but the service and cleanliness were unacceptable. Based on this experience, we won't be returning to CAVA. read more
