Our backyard has made an incredible transformation. After spending about 6 months researching options and visiting multiple showrooms for a complete backyard re-landscaping, we came across CastleLite Block LLC and our experience has been nothing but great starting from our first visit to their showroom in Danville. We entered this project with just a basic set of ideas for what we wanted our backyard to look like and Steve Barsanti (Sales Representative) was able to take these ideas and mold them into a design that we were very happy with. The team that came out to perform the demolition of our backyard and set the new pavers, seating area, planting areas, built in lighting and water drip systems, did a fantastic job. Given that our backyard does not have direct access from the street, all materials needed to be walked around the common areas. They were efficient and ensured that nothing was disturbed. At the end of each day the workspace and stored pavers were all organized so that they would not impact our neighbors. Everyone was hard working and we did not have any issues at all. They estimated two weeks for the completion of the job and they delivered on that timeline. A total of about 8,000pavers and stones were laid for our project, and after the work was complete, there was only 1 that was found that needed to be replaced. Upon finding this stone, the crew came out the next day and took care of it right away. This is clear indication of the quality of the stones and their excellent customer service!!! We just absolutely love everything about our new backyard - from gorgeous colors of pavers and blocks to the pattern in which the stones are laid out. Our friends and family, along with passing neighbors, all have complimented our backyard. I have been searching for a paver company for the past year with little success until finally meeting Brandon Zollinger at Castlelite. From the very beginning Brandon was a very professional and knowledgeable. He took several hours going over the design and recommendations for our back yard. I had about 5 other potential companies that I met with before I was fortunate enough to find Castlelite. Brandon was the first one to get back to me with a very reasonable quote. I was very impressed with his assertiveness. On top of that he offered to open up the showroom floor for us on a Sunday when they are normally closed. When it came time for the demolition I knew they had there work cut out for them. Using a small bobcat they were able to navigate to the back yard and completely remove a large retaining wall 6 heavily rooted trees and and had everything ready for for paving in just a few days. Can't say enough props about those demo guys. When it was time for the pavers, fire pit and sitting wall, I met with their paver crew for installation. I was amazed how much work was done in just 1 day. In fact, it was put together so fast that that was a little miss communication of how the sitting wall was was supposed to be. I mentioned my concerns with Brandon and he assured me right away that they would completely redo the sitting wall to my satisfaction. Wanted to write a quick review about how these guys REALLY came through for us. We have a vacation home in Clearlake Oaks and needed to complete a paver project in one weekend. Our relationship began with Brandon as a sales rep. He worked all the numbers out, dealt with a change or 2 :) and beat everyone elses price by a mile. Then comes in Sara. There was hiccup with the delivery schedule as we needed 19 pallets and that meant 3 loads from their plant over 1 1/2 hours away. She stated she could do one load on Friday as they did not deliver Saturdays or Sundays. I explained we did not live there and needed all material this weekend. She scrambled and got a driver to volunteer to deliver Saturday and Sunday! He was the nicest guy! We had coffee together, chatted and he was an absolute pleasure to work with! He got there early every morning so we would have the pavers for the day. Can not say how wonderful he was. We are SO grateful for how as a company they all came together and made it happen for us. We worked with Steve Barsanti to provide an estimate for hardscaping/landscaping our backyard and oversee the project, which, due to its size, took a couple of months to complete. Steve was very helpful in bringing our ideas into reality. He made excellent suggestions on what we could do. Having read many other reviews on landscape companies before choosing CastleLite, I was initially skeptical about a number of things but he soon dispelled my skepticism and I came to trust him. He has a good eye for detail, answered my questions promptly and patiently, and kept to the timeline we agreed upon. Before I close, one word about Mike Mangrum, the day-to-day project supervisor on the job who worked with Steve. Mike was extremely considerate, promptly corrected anything I pointed out and kept his word on anything he promised to do without me ever reminding him. Working with Steve on paving our porch, walkway, driveway, and retaining wall was a pleasure. We obtained a total of eight estimates (yes, I am that picky) and chose CastleLite. They weren't the least expensive nor the most expensive. Our requirements were quality and fair pricing. I think CastleLite met both. Steve was attentive to our needs and the two crews that performed the demolition and installation were quick but did not rush. As with any construction there were a couple of snafus or unforeseen problems. Steve and the crews were responsive to resolve all issues and able to recommend alternatives. The finished product exceeded our expectations. As my wife said, "It looks better than I imagined". One neighbor said, "Best paver job I've seen". Another neighbor wanted the install crew to take the extra pavers and do an install at there house. read more

I have been looking at doing a paver driveway for about one year and had 3 different contractors look at my project. CastleLite Block's Salesman was Steve and he was very prompt in keeping his appointment (other contractors were not on time) and he some really good ideas about things I had not even considered. I just felt really comfortable with him and his ideas. I did not get a quote from one of the contractors, but CastleLite Block had the best quote and really liked the color select they offered so that is who I chose. When the work started, they arrived on time and the crew was very courteous. They were very hard working and did an excellent job. They finished the project within a week, which is what they said would happen. I would definitely recommend them and I will be using them next year to do my backyard. Great Company!!! read more

I was deciding between replacing my sloped driveway and front porch with stamped concrete but once I spoke with Roger Cone, owner of Castlelite, I knew pavers were the best option. The reason is they manufacture the pavers and stand behind them. They have a showroom so you can choose the right color and type of material. Not like the other guys! You can go visit the reference list to ensure you picked the right color and the sales department will assist you in any way. The crew and the workmanship are incredible. They were always on time and cleaned up each day.I had to have my sprinklers relocated and they were able to take care of it, rather than waiting for another company to come out. Roots from a tree located near the driveway needed to be removed and they did that too! Don't waste anymore time, go visit the showroom in Danville!!!! read more

We are 110% happy with the job that Steve and CastleLite did on our driveway. Without repeating what others have said, I'll just comment that we had some "special requests" and Steve and crew were great about accommodating us. Steve helped us in our back-and-forth with the city on the permit, and also handled some unique lighting requirements. Steve was at the job site as required and also available by phone and email (at all hours) to keep the project moving forward, dealing with a few changes we made along the way. The demo and install guys were friendly, professional, respectful and meticulous. Of course everyone has commented how nice the finished product looks! We first learned about the CastleLite Block pavers at a home show presentation and liked what we saw in the options. Shopping around only reinforced what we liked about CastleLite. Brandon Zollinger from CastleLite Block came out to our house to help us work through the options and come up with a design that thrilled us. We had a small driveway replacement complicated by invasive tree roots, drainage problems, and the need to improve car clearance upon entering the drive. CastleLite in Danville developed a beautiful solution and the paver craftsman assigned was skilled and meticulous (Juan). His dedication to customer satisfaction, personal attention to designing solutions, and his accountability in coordinating execution across multiple crews were what made this a great success. We recently used CastleLite Block to install our back patio and putting green in Alamo. Steve was our salesman and was always prompt and on top of the project. Steve had some really good design concepts and we really like the colors we picked. The project started on the date we agreed and they actually finished one day ahead of schedule. I have worked with a lot of contractors and this was the beast experience I have had. The crew was courteous and always kept the work site clean. My grand kids love the new putting green. I was impressed by the care Steve & Michael took in looking over and estimating my job; being sure the drainage would work properly, setting the angle on the additional parking space etc. They even installed open tubes under the driveway so that future sprinkler or lighting installation would not need to disturb the base rock or pavers. We have a circle drive and Steve recommended the Mission 3 random pattern which turned out to be an excellent choice.
