I entered into an agreement with Alex and exercised my 72 hour right to cancel the day after signing the agreement based on several reviews from others on Google and Yelp that he had to return to several job sites to fix issues created during the install. According to Ca law, I'm to be returned the $1,000 deposit, but it's been 6 months and I haven't received anything. At some point I'll probably file a complaint with the cslb, but maybe an accurate review of my experience will further encourage him to return my deposit. Alex sent his crew over to help fix a few small problems that we had but his guys did great job at fixing the issue we had. His team arrived on time and cleaned up afterwards. Alex did explain to me that he has been short handed lately so that's why it took a little longer to send someone out but he kept his word on fixing the issue we had with the pavers. I would recommend this company to anyone that wants a piece of mind for issues that do arise after the install that Alex will be there to take care of the problem and backs his warranty. read more

This one star review is for both pavers in general as well as for the poor after sales service by this company. Hope this review can help other families considering pavers. First on the pavers. This is our first time using pavers and we had contemplated if we should use concrete or even tiles on concrete. We worked with Alex whom during pre-Sales was excellent in communication. As we loved the clean white look, we went with the white pavers. The cost of the project was around $40K. The color was beautiful however, we noticed that there were stains caused by spilled liquid (?) by the crew. As we were rushing for a party that weekend, we took some photos and sent to Alex. Since then, we have contacted Alex multiple times to come and take a look at the pavers and in spite of multiple promises, he has missed appointments with no courtesy messages on why he would not be able to. In short, zero after sales service. We don't typically write bad reviews because we understand it is difficult to operate businesses. But as homeowners who have fully paid for the service, we do expect to have "some" after sales service to help address the issues we are facing. So for all of you considering pavers, if you want a beautiful yard, which has a clean look and feel (and not look dirty even though it's new), I would not recommend pavers and definitely do not recommend this company. read more

He was thorough and so friendly and helped us decide on a design for our yard based off of our specific needs. Our backyard is on a hill so the whole yard sloped. We also had some drainage issues with water getting under the house, which he addressed with french drains and regrading. We were really were thrilled with Alex and his team. They were always on time, often early, and worked incredibly hard all day. They answered all of our questions, made excellent recommendations to make everything look even better, and helped us think through other parts of our project. Hired NC Marble to install a new driveway. Though they were friendly and professional throughout the process, the promised work did not match the final outcome. Texture of driveway is inconsistent and they skipped a couple of steps during the installation. Even though they promised to come back to finish the missed steps and get the texture to what was promised with an action plan, they never called to schedule and execute. They were prompt to respond to text messages, but kept giving empty promises of coming back to finish the job. I was very hopeful, but it shouldn't take me this much effort to get them to do their job properly. I thought I hired professionals. I don't expect them to fulfill any warranty if any repairs are needed. read more

NC Marble did a great job installing paver in our backyard. They are very professional, responses quickly, have an awesome hard working crew, gets the job done on time, doesn't keep you hanging. A found them little expensive compared to individual contractors but it was worth it because I didn't have any headache to oversee the work. They have supervisors/managers to manage everything. Even my neighbors appreciated their work and professionalism. I had to face some back and forth for final cleaning but Alex (the owner) took care of it. Alex and team landscaped my front and back yards after my first landscaper abandoned the project. They came up with a simpler design that complemented my house and the way I want to use my yard. I am happy with the outcome and the attention to detail in the design that took into account my aging parents (i.e., wider paths, gentle slopes). Having been locked up for a month now (mid-Covid), my number of neighborhood walks have increased 3-fold and I am going further and further from the house. As a result, I am seeing many more paver projects around the neighborhood. I can say without hesitation that the detail and craftsmanship of our front yard is far superior to ANY paver front yard. Period. The rounded corners are so smooth and precise and the edges are perfectly straight. I suspect business may be a tad bit slow due to the shelter-in-place, but you send your prospects over to my house and you will reel in all those delayed projects. Wow! Best contractor experience ever! My project was complicated, and I'm so thankful that I selected NC Marble and Stone Pavers. We replaced 3200 square feet of concrete with pavers around our pool. There was re-grading, new steps, and a heavy jacuzzi that needed to be moved. To make matters worse we were remodeling the swimming pool at the same time with a different contractor, so there were scheduling challenges. I was working from home so I was always going out to check on things, point out minor corrections, and ask their english-speaking crew member lots of naive questions. I made mid-project changes and special requests. Some things were damaged during demolition and I asked for them to be fixed. None of this was any problem for Alex, the owner of NC Pavers, or Eric, his sales manager, and their hard-working crew. They aim to please their customer and were happy to oblige every request I made, even AFTER the final project was done and paid for. Furthermore, Alex and Eric were easy to reach. They answered their phones and texts every time I called. And even though it was a 50-mile drive for Alex, he made a site visit on most of the job days to make sure things were going smoothly. At one point in the project there was a major complication because the pool contractor mounted his coping at the wrong height so it didn't match the paver steps. When the pool guy refused to own his mistake, Alex made things right by offering to fix the pool coping at cost. I would say that NC Marble and Stone pavers is a top notch company in both quality and customer service. And their price was the most competitive as well! He provided a quote on the spot and was considerate of our budget, giving different options depending on what we wanted to spend. He is a thorough gentleman who is very detailed in his work, calm and patient in his approach with customers and fair in his pricing. Alex did a major backyard project for me which included installing pavers in an area over 1600 sq feet, constructing an outdoor BBQ kitchen and firepit as well as 2 elaborate stone planters. This also included installing about 50 lights, which was quite complex, and setting up the irrigation system. Once I provided him with the basic concept, he drew out the rendition and made several trips to my house to make modifications requested by us till we were satisfied. I requested a quote from this company which they sent me for a garage slab job. They gave me a quote of $5200 for the job. I contacted them and agreed to the quote. The operations manager made an appointment to come out to the job and sign the contract. He did not show up for the appointment and when I called him he said the company had changed their policy and no longer worked on jobs less then $10,000. So they did not honor their quote and changed the rules after giving out the quote. So be very careful with this company as they do not honor their quotes, ask for money up front before they start the job and do not keep their appointments. read more
