We have chosen Miguel's proposal after two others. He gave us a $300 discount and free thin overlay on our porch. For the driveway and backyard $35,500 and $4,500 for stain protection. He said one week to finish the job, then two weeks later for the staining. The workers were on time and have their roles on site. They came with heavy duty machinery. As the project progressed. We noticed the workers skills are questionable. The carelessness and no attention to details are not there. The day after the cement was poured. The workers were walking freely on it. We went outside to look around. And saw the supposed circle around the tree has two sharp corners sticking out. They are positioned on 10 and 2. Then we noticed markings of dropped and dragged tools on the new cement floor. They over used the power wash, left the fence and color concrete in streaks. There is a huge discoloration on the cement he can't explain or fix. Cracked our brick retaining wall. But what was more upsetting is that they decided not to pour concrete on a section on the back side. So now, you can visibly see that they don't match. There's also a sitting puddle that won't drain. Also, on day four. My husband discovered our shed foundation was cracked badly. We went to reviewed it on the cameras. And sure enough saw the workers opened our shed door just looking at the damaged floor. Didn't notify us about it. Unfortunately, this is not the only crack we found. There's a huge crack across the whole garage floor. Didn't notice until we were able to moved the car out two weeks later. Disappointed at the level of work. Every time they tried to fix the issue, they make it worse. We didn't feel like we hired licensed professionals. We had spent too much money and still have to fix their errors. Our mistake is not listening to the other reviewer's warnings. Now, I'm one of them here, warning you.

We met Miguel in 2021, upon moving to our new home, and got a quote for redoing the concrete deck surrounding the pool. We ended up waiting on the work until this fall. Reached back out to Miguel to get an updated bid. As others have said, he offers a very competitive price. Which understandably makes you question -- how. With a few other quotes and multiple conversations (in person, email text) we went with Miguel. I appreciated his patience in clarifying questions I had on the process, drains, leveling, etc. When I sent questions via email (before committing to the work) he came back to speak in person to ensure we were on the same page and I felt confident in what to expect. SO HAPPY WE DID. We love the work his team did. The process was seamless. His team of at least 6 people a day was always ready to work when they said they'd be here. The foreman (when Miguel might not have been present) was more than happy to talk thru questions I had. Although I should note Miguel was present each day. I would recommend Galaxia to friends, for sure.

Miguel was easy to work with and very knowledgeable about his craft. His company and crew were fast and very professional. He gave us the best written quote and was able to complete the work in under the estimated time because his workers came promptly and worked beyond a full day (2 days of work was completed in 2). He brought in a bobcat and about 6-8 workers to demo a long driveway and pour concrete with drainage. We are more than happy with his work and ethics. We highly recommend his company and will hire him again when/if needed. Two thumbs up

Miguel and the guys do very good work. I had them redo all the concrete around my pool. Miguel planned out the project showing a good depth of knowledge. They removed and re-poured about half the concrete and just patched and re-skinned the other half. It looks great. My only complaint is that they could have been more careful of the small details, like getting concrete in the rails for the pool cover. And they could have been better at cleaning up after themselves. I would have liked for them to come back for a couple of hours to finish the work. I had quite a bit to do after they left cleaning up. They didn't put stuff back where it was, and they left a bit of garbage behind. But, overall, they did a good job at a good price.

I highly recommend Galaxia Concrete! Miguel is professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. He concreted our side yard, which is 62' x 5'. Miguel and his team hammered out this project in two days, leaving the new looking perfect and ready for use. Also, I requested to add two new fence posts, which was a deviation from the quote, but Miguel had no issues with this, and even went to the hardware store to get the post and additional concrete for us. In all, we are highly pleased with the work that was done.

    Shed pad and pathway

Our yard used to be a mess. Previously, was improperly sloped for water drainage, and full of so much dirt, it was unmaintainable during times of drought. We developed a plan to try to re-do most of the yard, including stamped concrete, a pathway, shed pad, landscaping rocks, etc. Miguel came out and helped me create a vision of what we needed. This included help with planning, choice in stamping, colors, etc. He's a very nice and honest guy, fair priced, and has amazing workmanship. He and his crew worked so hard to get the job right. He and his crew even worked through Thanksgiving to ensure the schedule was done right! For our property, they poured thousands of square feet of concrete, several hundred square feet of stamped designer looking concrete and several hundred square feet of rocks. We cannot get over how good it now looks. In addition, they even filled in a hole, fixed a crack, fixed a small bad area in concrete not part of this work, and moved some dirt to properly slope an area that was my own project. Very, very helpful! One of the most important items to me - Miguel is extremely good at sloping and drainage. We have not had a single flooding issue on our property, ever since - even with the tremendous storms we've had lately. If the old setup was present for these storms, we would have had catastrophic flooding.  The sloping is so unnoticeable, yet so effective, that it's a masterpiece on how the drainage is perfect with this combination. Some might say that this is not a big deal, but for us, it is. Because we had years of fighting this, and this was an enormous project of so much concrete, that one mistake could easily cause even minor issues. The pictures don't do justice to the work - I waited until a little later to take pictures, because I wanted to take care of the grassy areas, to make it look a little better. However, it would not be fair to wait until I finished the lawn work, since that is still months away. The large rocks at the base of the fence are not part of this work - they are to prevent a recent skunk problem we've had. Also, some discoloration on the concrete is from the neighbor's trees, which drop some kind of berry. The color was consistent and perfect to our liking. I would hire Miguel again, in a heartbeat, if we had more projects. I consider him like a friend - someone you can trust, and someone you can count on, for high quality work.

Miguel and his crew removed our old weeded dried lawn and replaced it with decrotive stone. They put in a beautiful curved walkway and extended our driveway. Galaxia had the lowest bid. Miguel offered a complete variety of stone choices and was very accommodating, willing to put in anything we asked for at no extra charge. Galaxia is highly recommended.

A couple of years ago they helped me with a smaller concrete project, and I was so impressed by their professionalism and craftsmanship that I knew I would reach out again when it came time to redo my entire backyard. From the very beginning, Eric stood out for his clear communication and honesty. His quote was very fair compared to other contractors I contacted, but what really made a difference was how much thought he put into the design and planning. My backyard was in pretty bad shape -- uneven ground, cracked areas, and even a section near a retaining wall that wasn't very stable. Eric carefully looked at every problem and came up with creative, affordable, and effective solutions. He never tried to upsell or rush decisions. Instead, he made sure I fully understood each option, and he adjusted the plan to fit both my budget and my vision. During the construction, Eric and his dad worked with incredible efficiency and attention to detail. Every single day, they arrived on time, worked hard, and cleaned up so thoroughly before leaving that I could barely tell it was an active construction site. That level of care and respect for a client's home is rare and deeply appreciated. The final result completely transformed my backyard -- the concrete surface is smooth, solid, and beautifully leveled. They even paid attention to the small finishing touches that many contractors might overlook. The project was completed right on schedule, exactly as promised. Eric and his father are honest, reliable, and take great pride in their work. You can tell they truly care about doing the job right, not just getting it done. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to hire them again or recommend them to anyone who needs high-quality concrete work. They're the kind of people you feel lucky to find -- hardworking, trustworthy, and genuinely good at what they do.

I would have given ZERO stars. Don't trust their overall YELP rating. I made that mistake. I feel…read morethe finished work (driveway, pathways, and wall) are reasonably acceptable. This is ONLY because we checked daily work and instructed them to fix mistakes and sloppy work. They spent a lot of their time redoing what should have been completed right the first time. Daily progress (or lack there of) showed us that the owner/project manager (Tevita/Mata) is not a good project manager nor that he gave his crew clear direction on this project. The process after contract signing was horrible...not at all professional. The project took much longer than Tevita initially quoted (over 2 months vs the 2 weeks he originally told us). This resulted in change orders and cost overruns. He also tried to charge me to fix their breakage/mistakes/errors (e.g., fixing the sidewalk his workers broke). His crew was not respectful of our property (we had to live with their mess...it's not a vacant lot). They did not regularly clean up the work site nor organize equipment and materials left onsite. Seeing their lunch garbage (cans, bottles, wrappers, etc.) at the end of their workday was common. This continued even after repeated complaints to Tevita and to his crew. No one on site could to provide straight answers as to that day's work or when specific project goals would be completed. Whenever I would spoke with him, Tevita made excuses, provided misinformation, denied deliverables he previously promised, and deflected from answering direct questions. He has a habit of talking over the customer when asked questions he doesn't like. On at least one occasion, he raised his voice and started yelling to avoid answering questions. If it was not in writing, he'd say it wasn't what we discussed. I have never had such issues when working with professional/reputable companies. Tevita and his crew failed to meet every single deliverable date he set. I found him very difficult to work with. I feel that he does not show proper respect to the customer. Instead he appears to think that the customer, the person paying him, should accept subpar work. I suspect that he may also not fully understand the processes involved with the work being performed. I feel that Tevita and Lamata Concrete are not professional. They didn't use professional equipment and they didn't manage the job site or their onsite work time professionally. Their workers typically started late morning and were gone by early afternoon. Lamata Concrete has major logistical problems. They couldn't get an adequately-sized crew or required materials to the job site at the start of any given day, typically interrupting workflow for hours to go fetch supplies. Had they staged materials and tools at the worksite (where there was ample area to store all materials needed for the entire project) and had his crew worked a full 8 hours per day at the job site, I believe they could have finished weeks ago. They are SLOW...3 weeks for a stamped concrete driveway and pathways. I definitely CANNOT recommend them for a cinder block wall. It took way too long (over 2 months) to complete. I feel like they have never built this type of wall. I regret hiring Lamata Concrete. I CANNOT recommend Lamata Concrete nor would I use them again. They were such a hassle to work with compared to the many other professional/reputable companies I have hired. My opinion...take their negative YELP reviews seriously and ask for references and talk to those references. Tevita's response is a great example of how he makes excuses, provides misinformation, denies promised deliverables, and deflects from addressing the real issue. I find it a bit childish and very unprofessional.
