    Got it done!

Outstanding work! AG & Associates are a top notch company. Anselmo is very easy to communicate with. He answered all of our questions and was totally cool when we changed our minds about the stone we chose. Antonio worked meticulously and it showed. We will definitely recommend to our family and friends.

AG & Associates remodeled both my front and back yards in the spring and we have been thoroughly enjoying both spaces this past summer. I am extremely pleased with their craftsmanship, quality of work, and attention to detail. Their crews are experienced, friendly, and thorough and did a great job of communicating the work being done at each stage of the project. I enthusiastically recommend them for anyone looking to beautify their home. I started working with their designer to draft detailed plans that captured my vision for each area. He has decades of experience and provided excellent advice on landscaping, hardscape materials, and city ordinances. He showed me completed projects of his other clients and recommended trusted vendors and brands. After the plans were completed and materials selected, AG began the removal of all the existing concrete and landscaping. Next, the drainage was installed and grading completed. The crews worked fast and completed this phase smoothly. I was also working with two other contractors to refinish my existing pool and install an adjustable, louvred patio cover and we all worked together to coordinate efforts and ensure proper execution. The pavers and the hardscape in the front yard were completed first with only the landscaping remaining. The pavers, outdoor kitchen, fireplace, patio cover, and pool refinishing were all done next. Finally, the landscaping in the front and back were completed. After living with the yard for a few months, I am very pleased with the all of the design elements and construction details that were chosen. For example, we decided to install the hot tub in a sunken concrete vault with drainage for easy entry/exit and we are very happy with it. Also, the craftsmanship and high quality of work on the outdoor kitchen and fireplace shine through every time I use them. My family and I couldn't be happier with our new front and back yards and we are looking forward to making memories in them for many years to come.

We love our San Ramon backyard. Its simple, but clean and well done. Anselmo and his crew did a terrific job. What I appreciated most is the fact that both set-up (demolition) (Abel) and finish (Tony) crews were experienced, courteous and knew what they were doing. They have been with the company for more than 15 or 20 years. Everyone on the crew was helpful and everyone wore masks respecting the current climate in the country, something we really appreciated. The crews were there every day promptly at 7:00 to start work. They continued to work until the project was complete. I was so happy that we were able to work with Anselmo. He helped coordinate gas line, irrigation, relocation of AC where most of the 8+companies we called required those components to be dealt with separately. If you know projects, doing those separately creates delays.

With over 30+ years of home ownership, our recent project with AG & Associates was the best experience we've had. Anselmo (owner) and his team were extremely professional, timely, and reliable and did first-rate work. Pricing was fair and competitive, especially for the quality of work. Anselmo was always checking in on the job. Crew Lead Tony, along with Luis and Antonio did an exceptional job of keeping us informed on what had been completed and what work was remaining. All project deadlines were met and we couldn't be happier with the final product. We have never seen such a hard-working crew. They built a surround for our pizza oven and added workspace counters. They covered and capped ugly seating areas around our patio and pétanque court which now look fantastic! We highly recommend AG & Associates.

We had our front yard door steps paved with brick by this company. The owner came out and gave us a competitive bid and was very professional. He wore a mask and he emailed an estimate within a few days. His crew was exceptional and the job went very well. They were very clean and experienced. We love the steps now. We are very pleased and will use them again.

Professional. Friendly. Honest. Knowledgeable. QUALITY. Need I say more?…read more We had a chimney fire -- a very scary thing!! -- right after a so-called reputable chimney sweep took our $100 and 'cleaned' the chimney. What that guy really did was just take our money and leave the creosote buildup. In the aftermath of that fire, we discovered that our fireplace, which appeared to be made of brick, was actually made of pre-cast concrete. And even worse -- the heat from that chimney fire was so intense that it broke the insulation plate. The insurance inspector took one look and condemned our chimney. The city code enforcement officer came out and took a look; he agreed with the insurance inspector. We were ordered to tear it down. Enter Dave Montgomery who not only gave us the best quote, but was everything you want in a contractor. He showed up, on time. He did a superb job of demolition and then rebuilt our fireplace and chimney with the Real Thing.... brick, not concrete. And every day, before he left, he cleaned up after himself. The end result is beautiful. He included an air inlet that we can open and close that allows air from outside into the firebox (now I don't have to have an open window letting cold air into my house just to enjoy a cheery fire.) The materials used were first-rate. The job he did was first-rate. It's been a while, and it still looks gorgeous and functions perfectly. Bottom line: if you need masonry work done, he's the guy to call. I highly recommend Dave Montgomery Masonry.

Batteries were changed in the remote and in the receiver but that didn't solve the issue. I have to add at this point, that this unit is in a rental property and we are landlords who were unable to be on site at the time our tenants brought this to our attention. Laurie, a super communicator and troubleshooter, comes to the rescue. She has a few things to ask the tenants to look for, identify and test. She narrowed down the problem all via email and text. Once the inop part was identified, it was ordered. As soon as it arrived, Laurie called our tenant directly to make an appt for installation. Between Laurie and our (fantastic) tenants, they pretty much took care of things between just the two of them . . . all we needed to do was provide payment. This is so, so appreciated and valued as landlords who were unable to be present at the property at the time. Btw, I also have to add that our tenants had nothing but great things to say about Laurie's communication and the installation visit as well - - - on time, efficient, neat, polite and very courteous. From initial inquiry to repair, all was done within a couple of weeks. The epitome of efficiency. Other companies were booking over a month out and their $ and time estimates were almost double b/c they required one visit to troubleshoot then another to install/repair once they had the part. Thank you Laurie and Warm Solutions for providing such quality services!

He showed me where other people were trying to sell me "fixes" I didn't need. He patiently answered all my questions as an uneducated but curious homeowner comparing multiple quotes. He responded quickly to all texts and calls and was always very kind and generous with his time. The quote for the work I decided to do was similar / less than another company I looked at and Mr Chimney seemed like a far more professional company in terms of communication, presenting options, estimate, etc. Their office seems understaffed (maybe just 1 person working there?), but Erica is super nice and sent the estimate and scheduled the job...best to call her because they must be overwhelmed with email and I didn't get a response to email. The day of the work, the workers came on time, were super nice and explained everything and answered all my questions. They were supposed to do a number of repairs including fix my damper. They unfortunately said the damper couldn't be fixed but they were able to close it and I don't plan to use the fireplace, so they removed the charge whereas other companies might have charged me just for getting it to move enough to close fully or tried to talk me into replacing it. They simply presented the options and their costs and said I could decide later if I decide to use the fireplace. The workers were neat and clean, worked efficiently, and the chimney looks brand new after their repairs. After the work, I was cleaning leaves out of my gutters, and thought I saw some cement dust that had blown into the gutters during the work and was worried it could turn to cement in the rain and clog my gutters. I called Martin and he sent his workers back the next day to clean it up. He told me actually it was not cement dust but some debris from the roof but his team kindly cleaned it out anyway to assuage my concern-- truly old fashioned customer-centered values which is rare in this day and age. I would hire them again for any work and highly recommend them. Thanks, Martin, Erica, and team!!

On 10/13, I spoke with Christina to schedule a fireplace cleaning appointment for a date shortly after our call, with an arrival window of 8:00-11:00 AM. During that same call, I requested that a supervisor contact me regarding additional questions. No one from management ever returned that call. On the day of the appointment, the technician never arrived. At 10:00 AM, I contacted Jeffrey, who informed me the technician was running late and would arrive in the afternoon. No one showed up that afternoon either. When I spoke with Jeffrey again, I provided my address a second time. He then sent a confirmation notification containing the wrong address and even the wrong city. I called back once more to correct the information so the technician could locate my home. Despite all of this, no technician arrived at any point that day. At 4:00 PM, a customer service representative called to inform me that the technician "had something to do with his wife." This explanation was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I demanded an immediate call from a manager. No one contacted me. To this day, I have still not received a single follow‑up call from any member of management. Adding insult to injury, I began receiving text messages a few days later offering to reschedule the fireplace cleaning. I made it clear that, given the severe inconvenience and complete lack of service, the cleaning should be provided at no charge. I received no response. This entire experience is a clear example of extremely poor customer service, a lack of basic professionalism, and an absence of any meaningful management oversight. Despite multiple requests, not one manager has contacted me. Based on the conduct I have witnessed, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. If these practices continue, it is difficult to see how this organization will remain in business.

Alex went up to the roof but did not clean away the debris up against the chimney, he took pictures but did not clean up the debris. I paid $100 for sealing the cracks in the chimney box and he did a good job with that. The inspection on the outside is where things get quite questionable, Alex advised they would fax me back and estimate of any additonal work. The estimate is for $1007. The report lists the condition of my Chimney report as "unsatisfactory" It also says the note is d/t the exit set up of the chimney, but that is not explained. further down in the estimate. Then below are 3 items for remediation. Repair to cap arrestor is noted as "rusted" needs prime and paint, then next box says " preventative" and " fire hazard", $259., the next is Chase cover " rusted or discolored, needs prime/paint, says "preventative" $399., for the base of chimney says " flashing - water issues - install diverter next box says preventative - gives the code that lists water diverter or cricket. The pictures do not show any rust on the cap arrestor nor the chase cover only soot, and the discoloration is dirty water on top d/t it had just rained. The base of the chimney picture is covered with debris that alex did not remove before he took the picture which means he did not actually look to see if flashing was below the tile, nor did he see that there was flashing there w/ a water diverter that had been installed by my roofer in July last year. It can be seen in the picture zooming to the R. The quote says w/ the code either water diverter OR cricket, but when you talk to them they say well its better with both. When asked about the estimate they sell you that its all legitimate work but then say, estimate does say preventative however, estimate also says condition of chimney is "unsatisfactory". If this is work that is not necessary at this time estimate should say currently satisfactory, just because it could be better does not mean its necessary. I would even beg to differ that since they did not remove the debris at the base of the chimney, not only is the inspection of that area invalid, it is also incomplete work because he failed to " clean the chimney area". I have talked to them at length about the report and they justify the "type of work is code work" but not really necessary to my house today. They dont come right out and say, this all might be things you should do in the near future to be proactive. The cost of just priming and painting, per my brother in law who is a contracter said thats an hour job and they want to charge you $700 then wondered why for the cost they would not just replace the cap arrestor for that price? Since I did have roof work done by a licensed contractor in July I will be reaching out to him for his comments and follow them up here. Still 1 star not happy with overall feeling misled and work on roof w/ debris left incomplete work.
