DO NOT HIRE THIS LANDSCAPER unless you thrive on frustration. I got an estimate from Erik Morales to lay pavers (which I already had), install some bullnose on a couple of large raised planters, and build a redwood pergola for a ~15'x18' section of my back yard. He came back with an almost $14K estimate on April 14. I'm 66 and have lung cancer, and needed the work done, so I signed the paperwork. Then the waiting game started. Over the next month I contacted the company at least 5 times by phone and email. First the wife/secretary was sick, then they were out of town, then "we're working on the May calendar", then another excuse, followed by silence. Since then my son-in-law and I got the ground leveled and prepped and are laying the pavers this weekend. Remember I'm 66 with terminal cancer and already have the pavers AND bullnose. It's NOT THAT HARD. The pergola's going in next week. It's very frustrating to deal with a contractor that has absolutely no communication skills. If you don't want the job, just tell me, don't jack me around for a month. Estimate expired May 14. Such a waste of what little time I have left. Three thumbs WAY down for this bozo. read more

We just had Kerri complete a large project for us at our new home. Erik and his team were very professional and easy to work with. We had plans from landscape architect with Welo irrigation plans that needed to be executed exactly to plan to get county's sign off. They handled all inspections and process was turn key. Worth the wait, we will use them again and recommend them. read more

Our backyard was a complete blank slate. I contacted a few companies, but they didn't do design and the work. Kerri landscaping does it all! We told Rich what we envisioned. He drew up a design that was absolutely perfect! He was patient when we asked for changes, and always answered our questions. His crew....... 100% awesome guys! Always on time, if not early. Respectful of our property, always cleaned up the entire work site at the end of everyday. Kerri Landscaping is definitely a top notch company. read more

I'm so disappointed with Kerri Landscape. I called them and talked to Eric who set up an appt for a walk through. We had the walk through and talked and I gave him a photo showing ideas of what I had in mind. I still had the former yard design done in 2013 and Eric asked to borrow it when he left. I was told I'd hear back in a week. I've waited three weeks and my attempts to get in contact with someone at the main business number and also at the direct number Eric gave me are being ignored. I also left a message for Eric asking him to return the old yard plan he'd "borrowed" but I haven't had any response about that either. Because they've failed to follow up or be responsible to return my property I would not recommend Kerri Landscape Services. read more

Professional and Reliable! Rich was very easy to work with and was responsive to all our questions and requests for design modifications including a last minute one that happened later on in the project. We were extremely impressed by the professionalism of his crew and their quality of work. We put in new irrigation, leveled the ground around our house and added concrete. For the amount of digging up that had to be done, the guys always left the accessible areas clear and clean at the end of the day. Once they started putting in the plants around the house, we especially appreciated their flexibility in accommodating a last minute change. Our project was completed on time and we absolutely love the end result. read more

Rich has done a number of landscape upgrades for us and he just finished a driveway extension. He had to remove a tree, plants, old sidewalk and reconfigure the irrigation and lighting before installing the new features. His crew is professional, courteous and always on time. You'll be glad you did. read more

Excellent service and support from Rich and his foreman David B. They did a major project for us that took 10 months overall and involved several design changes as issues were found along the way. They did a great job of providing guidance and advice as those changes were made. They also did a fantastic job of handling issues caused by the storms and some major clean up needed. They went above and beyond and I'm happy to recommend them. read more

We hired Kerri Landscaping to do a complete remodel for our backyard. We knew when we purchased the house it would be an overhaul but Rich helped us design it and make our vision come true. Jorge, Alex and the whole team arrived everyday at 7am on the dot, kept us up to date on every move and accommodated us even when we made a slip in what we wanted. I can't boost this company enough. We will be using them for our front yard in the future as well. Run don't walk in booking these guys. read more

After 15+ years in our home, our yards were in need of a makeover. We already had landscape design plans drawn up, we just needed to find a landscape company to implement them. After a year of researching and meeting with companies, we found Kerri Landscape. They were working at a neighbors house doing some extensive work to their backyard. Dave, Gustavo and their crew exceeded our expectations. They showed up every day, they were professional and courteous, extremely knowledgeable and they were very accommodating of any changes we had. We just got our new pergola patio cover built by Kerri Landscape. They are a very professional team of workers. They pay attention to detail and do quality work. Dave met with the team daily to examine progress and ensure the project was being completed properly and as planned. I appreciate how Dave examined the pieces of redwood to ensure the best placement. They clean up daily after they work and are available to answer questions throughout the process. We are so glad we went with Kerri Landscape Services! read more

Rich and his crew were fantastic. They went above and beyond in many areas, and were always terrific with communication about all of the aspects of the project. We have hired Rich Kerri twice to design and fully renovate two backyards. His business provides exceptional service and work quality. My questions and emails were always answered promptly. Rich and the work crew were always candid and straightforward in communicating expectations and ideas and were flexible about requested changes. Our completed yard renovation followed the design plan accurately and looks great. We could not be happier with our new yard. read more

So far so good...we've been wanting to upgrade our front yard for some time and finally found the time and some money to get our act together. The job was completed in December and except for some early weeds popping up things still look great. We really wanted to use a local company and made several calls. One person showed up, seemed very nice, but never got back to us as promised. Jenna from Kerri came out next. Jenna was very personable and offered a lot of very good ideas that either complimented what we thought we wanted, or made it better. She put together a drawing and price sheet that provided different options so we could use our budget to get what worked best for us. We asked for a few changes and they were done immediately and a new drawing was provided. They worked with us on the installation dates and the installation crew couldn't have been better. Dave and his crew were on time, very polite and cleaned up our front yard each day before they left. Our driveway, the sidewalks, our lawn...everything was cleaned up and not left a mess. Dave is very knowledgeable and doesn't just look at the plan and move ahead without any thought. He knows the plants and how they grow. They ran in to a few situations, as one would expect, and Dave would stop and talk to us and explain our options and give his opinion. He had some great ideas and is quite talented and patient. He's a true professional and he and his crew worked put in a lot of hard work on our yard. You should be so lucky to have Dave and his crew do your installation. read more

Rich Kerri and his crew did a great job of re-landscaping an area of the yard that was boring, uninspired and underutilized. Though I had a general idea of what I wanted done, Rich brought some great ideas to the table (like removing a fence and gate to an unused dog run to open up the area) that made the final product even better. What I like best about working with Rich is that he provides drawings of what he proposes with detailed bids. This allows me to picture his vision and then work with him to ensure we end up with a look we are both proud of. His crew is always on time and professional. They clean up daily and go out of their way to make sure we are happy with the work. This is the second time we've used Kerri Landscape and it won't be the last. Thanks Rich, with special kudos to Fernando and the crew who worked at my house. We love the new area! read more

After almost a year of trying to find a landscaper that would actually show up when they said they would, we were lucky enough to stumble upon Kerri Landscaping working on a house down the street from us. I left Rich a message, he called me back the same day, and we were on the schedule within a week. He came up with a lovely design for our backyard, and was super accommodating of any changes or input we had. I was impressed with the number of guys he has on his crew. They all showed up every day on time and ready to work. The whole crew was kind and extremely professional. We loved it so much we had him do our front yard too! The quickness and ease of the whole project was incredible! Everything looks fantastic!. We are very happy with Kerri landscaping and would highly recommend them! read more

We hired Kerri Landscaping recently to fix our deck which was sagging from erosion due to poor drainage underneath (our yard is on a hill). They also extended the drainage from the gutters out further in the yard into "sump" pits they made to avoid future erosion problems. I can't speak highly enough about how extremely professional they were: they started every morning on-time, they were extremely organized and tidied up after there day, and they worked very efficiently. They even brought their own port-a-potty! The foreman, Dave, came every day to make sure everything was going as planned, and Rico the lead made sure the plans were executed flawlessly. We are extremely pleased with the end result, and we feel our deck has been secured for well beyond our years. We will definitely call them again in the future. read more

Superb company. Hire them! Did our entire backyard from scratch - design through installation - and were great at every step. The designer incorporated the features we liked rather than pushing a vision on us, the project manager was in constant communication and the labor team were professional and hard workers. They worked within our budget, ran a self-contained job and had almost no impact on our daily lives. They left the place looking wonderful and had a number of nice little touches - moving our birdfeeder, for example, rather than just tearing it down during the construction. My only issue was initial response - I submitted the online form and it took about a week to get a reply, so if you want quick communications I suggest calling them. We'll be using them again for sure. read more

We used Kerri Landscape Services to redo an outdated and very large backyard with copious amounts of cement work, arbor, drainage, boulders, plants, lighting, and landscaping. It was accomplished in 6 months in two phases, and done very close to schedule. Everything was explained during the process and all questions raised were answered. We had a field manager who answered the phone every time it rang and an owner who had solutions backed by years of experience. We did have some issues but Kerri Landscape reacted immediately, and didn't leave us hanging. read more

We hired Kerri Landscape to replace, fix and adjust everything in both our front yard and back yard, except for the existing hardscape. Rich started by listening to our needs, then chose plants and created a design. Our irrigation was replaced and our electrical repaired. They even patched our fountain and planters. Rich's team worked hard during some of the hottest days of summer and remained pleasant and professional. Their clean up was outstanding. We definitely enjoyed working with them and would hire them again. read more

After 20 years, my yard needed a do over and my drip irrigation was failing. I have landscape plans prepared and began looking for a landscaper. After many landscapers interviewing, I was fortunate enough to find Kerri Landscape Services. I can't say enough about the excellent services that Kerri's staff provided. The workers arrived on time every morning. Everyone knew what to do and what was happening from the top down. The project managers and workers were all good communicators, polite, and professional in all matters. When plans were changed, they were very accommodating without a concern. I simply cannot say enough good things about this company, the project leaders and the workers themselves. Unexpected issues were handled seamlessly until resolved. I highly recommend this business and will use them again if needed. I believe you will be very happy with the finished product too. Sandi S read more

We hired Kerri Landscaping to create a new patio and a covered pergola in our backyard. The end result surpassed our expectations. Rich and his crew did a superb job again for us, this time installing an entry walk and associated plantings. The design phase, scheduling, adjusting to changing ideas, presenting options as the work progressed, and cleanup were all first rate. There were numerous areas were the crew went above and beyond. For instance, at the very end of the job, we discovered that there were intermittent electrical connections from the sprinkler valve controller to the valves. This was an existing condition that was obviously not their fault. They installed a new valve control box at the valves to solve the problem. We will use them again. read more

The work done by Kerri Landscaping was top notch -- and soooooooo worth the time I spent on a wait list for their services!! The crew working at my house was incredibly professional, respectful of property, neat, tidy, and most of all, communicative. I got daily updates from Carlos of what had been done and a sneak-peak of what was going to happen the next day. They arrived on time each day to get started and worked diligently until quitting time. The as-built looked just like the sketch I provided to them before the project began -- they removed an old, narrow, uneven walk way in my front yard and installed a totally new, wider, even walkway with two new steps (the concrete subcontractor did an awesome job -- that man really knows his craft), two rock walls, and a totally new drip irrigation line. I could not be more pleased with how things turned out -- if you have any kind of landscaping job and you care about the results, this is the company for you. read more

We have used Kerri Landscaping numerous times. The first being when we first built our house 22 years ago, for maintenance, and most recently a full facelift with pool and spa (w/Hacienda), guest house with attached garage (w/Burbach Construction), barbeque, pizza oven, and bocce ball court. We provided Rich of a list of things that we wanted with examples of what we liked. Rich truly internalized the things that were important to us and created a design that elegantly incorporated everything from my wife's garden and meditation areas to my bike washing station and everything in between. Each space in the yard serves a purpose and is beautiful and elegant in its own right, from the pool which is the centerpiece, down to the utility yard. It is simply amazing anywhere you look. The quality of the craftsmanship is impeccable down to every little detail. The service is exceptional. The motto "The Ultimate in Customer Satisfaction" is not just a tagline, but ingrained in the culture of the company from Rich and Debbie, through the entire staff who are a pleasure to work with at every level of the organization. We highly recommend them. read more

This guy is a rip off merchant! plain and simple! I had Rich come and quote a job. A retaining wall his first quote for the repair work was $3120 then eight months later I had him come and re-bit the job and my neighbors retaining wall - a simple wooden structure and are you ready for this sticker shock. his second quote was $6641. When I asked him why their was such a difference in price and even presented him with the original quote the best answer he could give me was "I don't have the original drawings for the job so I dont know" WTF??? I sent him the original quote for the EXACT SAME JOB!!! there was no change in my requirements, just fix the damm broken retaining wall!!! I persued his lame responses and he gave me more of the same that is lame ass excuses he got caught with his pants down being greedy. When I asked him if he would negotiate the cost he said no. Well Kerri Landsape Fleecing services you can shove your BS excuses and servies where the sun doesn't shine :) I didn't even get to have this loser do work on my property and further more you should get a second opinion before committing to this joker. The two other landscape gardeners I interviewed quoted around $3500 for the same job 8 months later. He also tried to fleece my neighbors by quoting them $6500 for repairing a simple wooden structure retaining wall...WANKER! In an answer to your below comment below Rich; YOU DID NOT COMPLETE OR PRESENT ME WITH A 'SCALE DRAWING" for the first or second time you bid my job!!! So what are you talking about??? As I noted above the scope of my job did NOT change in any way fix a retaining wall!!! Your mark up of jobs between bids was over a 200% mark up, How the hell do you even begin to explain that?! the other bids I received were half of your second bid HALF!!!! You got caught with your hand in the cookie jar and now you are trying to squirm your way out if it!! sorry not this time buddy!! read more

We are extremely happy that we chose Kerri Landscape Services to landscape our front yard . We had waited and waited to finally go ahead and have our front yard done since the drought has taken such a toll on grass and plants. We had several bids and observed Kerri Landscape's work on a neighbor's yard and the neighbor's recommendation so we knew the quality of their work. Rich worked with us to design a plan that would work with our budget, Dave oversaw the project and the whole team worked hard to give us the yard we are proud to have now. The whole project was done to our exact needs with professionalism, courtesy and attention to detail. The team works hard, consistently and within two days we now drive up to our home and are so glad we chose Kerri Landscape Services to provide the front yard we are proud to have. A great job by a local, Livermore landscaper! I first want to commend the Kerri team and the work that was done by Silvestre Frayle and his crew. My project began on New Year's Eve day and was completed on Friday, January 11. We did a complete front yard make-over starting with design, complete tear out of the old yard, new paver sidewalk, slate tiled entry way, irrigation system and other hardscape. The finished product was exceptional, and we could not be happier with the results! Silvestre and his crew arrived every day, very early in the morning, and worked through some very cold weather to complete our project. They worked very full days, and were very dependable. Silvestre was very easy to work with, as we made some small adjustments to the plan along the way. They were very accommodating and wanted very much to please us. These gentlemen are not only hard workers, but skilled craftsmen as well. The front walkway that this team did is fantastic, and a true work of art. Many of our neighbors walk by, stop, point and admire the work that has been done. We have received numerous compliments from them. I would highly recommend Kerri Landscape and this skilled team, and would be happy to share my experience, photos and our yard to any perspective customers. I would also not hesitate to use Kerri Landscape in the future for any outdoor project. read more

I gave Rich an open-ended job - I agreed to pay by the hour for as long as it took to get a job done (fixing a masony post by my driveway). He quoted 3 or 4 hours, and finsihed up charging me 3 hours flat. The work looks great, done reasonably quickly (I wasn't in a rush), for the low end of the price range that was quoted, with no payment up front. I couldn't be happier. BTW - for the gent who wasn't happy with the quote he got from Rich - if you don't like the quote, don't hire him. Just because he wanted more for the job than you wanted to pay is hardly a reason to rip him on Yelp. It's not like he quoted one thing then charged antoher, or did inferior work. I'd have no problem hiring Kerri Landscape Services again, and probably will. read more

What an outstanding company this is. They understand customer service at the highest level. I called this company up And within a couple days I got a response to set up an appointment to have the owner come out an give me a quote. At the time of the appointment I had some ideas of what I wanted. After talking it over with the owner he decided it would be best to have a detailed drawing that we could make changes to. This was completely un-expected, but I thought if this guy was willing to take the time and do this that hiring him would be worth it, and it was. We made a couple changes to it, and then agreed on a price, which he was more then willing to work with me on. The job took exactly 1 week. The workers showed up every morning promptly at 7. They were very respectful and always could answer my questions about work being done. Their day would end between 3-4 and there was never a mess, they cleaned up all the dirt from the sidewalk and they never left cups or food trash. The final product far exceeded my expectations, it was absolutely perfect. My wife and I were very pleased with this company. Thank you Kerri Landscaping for your hard work and professionalism, we are very happy! read more

We purchased a home in San Ramon last year and needed landscaping for both the front and rear yards. The company is Diamond Certified and a member of the Better Business Bureau. The owner, Rich Kerri, possesses a college degree in landscaping and employs numerous workers on his staff. They worked tirelessly on our yards and they look amazing. Rich designed our landscaping plan with the plants we wanted and included some of his own choices that matched our color scheme.
