The designer incorporated the features we liked rather than pushing a vision on us, the project manager was in constant communication and the labor team were professional and hard workers. They worked within our budget, ran a self-contained job and had almost no impact on our daily lives. They left the place looking wonderful and had a number of nice little touches - moving our birdfeeder, for example, rather than just tearing it down during the construction. My only issue was initial response - I submitted the online form and it took about a week to get a reply, so if you want quick communications I suggest calling them. He came back with an almost $14K estimate on April 14. I'm 66 and have lung cancer, and needed the work done, so I signed the paperwork. Then the waiting game started. Over the next month I contacted the company at least 5 times by phone and email. First the wife/secretary was sick, then they were out of town, then "we're working on the May calendar", then another excuse, followed by silence. Since then my son-in-law and I got the ground leveled and prepped and are laying the pavers this weekend. Remember I'm 66 with terminal cancer and already have the pavers AND bullnose. It's NOT THAT HARD. The pergola's going in next week. It's very frustrating to deal with a contractor that has absolutely no communication skills. If you don't want the job, just tell me, don't jack me around for a month. Estimate expired May 14. Such a waste of what little time I have left. Three thumbs WAY down for this bozo.

After waiting a year and a half I have decided it was time to review Swanson's Landscaping. I had…read moreSwanson's Landscaping build a pad for my swim spa and hot tub. They were recommended by my swim spa dealer, Turbo Spas in Dublin. The crew was easy to work with, professional and followed my instructions to the letter. I just want to give some feedback from what I have learned since because this will help others avoid the same mistake I made. After waiting 28 days for the concrete to cure I set my 12' swim spa and 8' hot tub on the pad. 6 months later my swim spa cracked on the bottom. I am not sure about this but I believe the spa cracked because of the control joints running underneath the spa because that is where the spa shell cracked. Lessons learned is never add control joints where a swim spa will be set. This was no fault of Swanson's, It was my fault for recommending control joint locations. All is well now because my swim spa was repaired and I have the spa floating on 3" of crushed rock and a spa pad. The spa pad and rock sit on top of 6" steel reinforced concrete.

I reached out to Paulino for a quote for the following services:…read more1) Turn over old soil and remove all old roots from our 4 raised beds 2) Add 4 bags of planting soil and 1.5 bags of bumper crop to each raised bed 3) Turn over and mix all soils again for the beds to be ready for planting Paulino came by the same day to look at the project, gave me a reasonable quote, and completed the job! He and Marco do excellent work. They removed all my irrigation lines to protect them before commencing the project and replaced them at the end. Great attention to detail and left the yard very clean. They brought out their blower to blow all the soil into the bushes. I am very happy and can now plant my summer garden without having to wait for my husband's availability to add all the soil for me:) I highly recommend Paulino and Marco.
