I reached out to Paulino for a quote for the following services: 1) Turn over old soil and remove all old roots from our 4 raised beds 2) Add 4 bags of planting soil and 1.5 bags of bumper crop to each raised bed 3) Turn over and mix all soils again for the beds to be ready for planting Paulino came by the same day to look at the project, gave me a reasonable quote, and completed the job! He and Marco do excellent work. They removed all my irrigation lines to protect them before commencing the project and replaced them at the end. Great attention to detail and left the yard very clean. They brought out their blower to blow all the soil into the bushes. Review is for backyard cleanup of lots of weed and trimming shrubs and bushes. With the rains in the Bay Area, weeds have taken over our backyard. I also lack my father's green thumb and patience for gardening so I relied on Yelp's Request a Quote system. I got two immediate responses with same-day availability to stop on by to inspect the property and offer a free quote. One other vendor offered a bid based on pictures I sent. I decided to go with Paulino's bid since his quote fell in the middle and he had great Yelp reviews and communicated well throughout scheduling and job walkthrough. On the job day, Paulino and his partner transformed my yard after 2.5 hours of work. Big weeds gone and shrubs trimmed beautifully and even. Paulino is great! He's very punctual & does great work. My lawn always looks very neat and clean afterwards. He even takes out any garden decor or path lighting before cutting the grass and puts it back in afterwards. He's extremely responsive and easy to reach as well as reasonably priced. Basically. I we're looking for a gardener here on yelp. And found this bussines with some Good respectful reviews. And got very excited to do a quote and show my gardener or him. i call him and meet Paulino on the phone. He we're very friendly on the phone good person. So, We firm and set up a time on the phone everything went fine. But.. he did not show up. Then i call him and he said yes I'm coming. So I wait to him to come for 1 hour and even call me back. I canceled all my stuff to do with my whole family on that time. So then I Call him 3 times to ask if he still coming and text him. So I waited with a lot patience and did not it assume anything. Then I waited some days to call him back. And when i call him back. He even knew who was, and did not recognized me. And I we're very humble to call him back, and ask about the work. So we spoke on the phone and I explained all to him again. And he even say sorry. And He said to me he will call me back in 10 minutes to let me know he's time. And never call me back.. So as a customer. I did felt that we're not okay to do. I saw he has good reviews, and I'm not interested to lower he's reviews here or do anything bad to he's business. i just felt that very disrespectful with a customer. read more

I contacted two gardening companies for quotes on clearing and trimming my out-of-control yard. The first was Paulino (Paulhino? not sure). He answered the phone promptly, arrived exactly when he said he would, walked with me as I showed what needed to be done, and provided excellent feedback. He supplied a quote immediately at the end of the walk-through. The 2nd company (not to be named, I'm not getting into that) arrived 30 minutes late for the walk-through. The rep, while very nice, didn't ask a lot of questions nor provide feedback. At the end he said that he had to discuss with management before he could quote, and said I'd have the quote the next day (Saturday). They didn't call, so I gave the job to Paulino. That was the BEST decision I've made in a long time. He and his brother did such an amazing job on my property! Simply put, the work exceeded my expectations. I feel that I now have the sharpest-looking house on the block. Oh, and the other company? They called 5 days after the walk-through with a quote that was much higher than Paulino's. I have never (to my memory) written a Yelp review. But in this instance I really wanted to, because I strongly recommend Paulino for ANY size job. He is the BEST! read more
