Perez and his team did an outstanding job completely overhauling my back yard. First he recommended a demolition crew that was able to remove the garage as I desired (I had trouble finding one and spent months on permits, but that's a different story), then he worked closely with me to realize the vision I had for the back in realistic terms. The team built a beautiful storage shed, put in a patio area and faux grass, replaced the ancient sprinkler system to water the flowers they planted, and built a fence and planter box as well. The price was reasonable and scheduling went well - he is very busy but manages to fit in all essential work and communicate well. I highly recommend Perez Tree Service. They were quick to respond to a request for a bid and came out to the property the very next day for a thorough quote that was very reasonable. They were very accommodating with regards to scheduling, arrived on time, got an incredible amount of work done in one day (cleared an entire hillside of weeds, hauled it away, leveled and added DG to a long stairway, and cleared and laid out gravel to clean up a large section of property to protect for fire. The other thing worth noting is what they didn't do, which is leave the yard a mess or leave behind any trash, water bottles, etc. Not a scrap. Perez Gardening and Tree Service did an exceptional job on our backyard. Prior to their work our decades old weed cloth was coming up and both the front and backyards were full of weeds. They put down weed cloth, made a beautiful path around our garden full of flagstones and gravel, and put down new bark. The before and after comparison is staggering! His quote compared some of the others came out to be very competitive and we decided to go with them. They came right on the agreed upon time and a total of 3 men. As new home owners, we have experienced a plethora of firsts, many of which we have found overwhelming. The most challenging aspect of getting work done on or around the house is finding reliable, honest and trustworthy professionals that have reasonable rates. Ideally I like to work with trade professionals that have been recommended by word of mouth. But with this landscaping project, we turned to Yelp to find our person. We called out 4 landscapers/gardeners for estimates. From the gate, Mariano was responsive, communicative, punctual, and thorough. During the initial consult I was impressed by the questions he asked us and by the responses he had to our questions. It became clear he was experienced and knowledgable. That paired with a reasonable estimate we decided to go with him. We are so happy we did. He was patient with our questions and flexible leading up to the start of the project. He and his team tilled and prepped the land, installed irrigation/sprinkler system, laid sod, removed 2 cacti and trimmed a pine tree. They completed all of this well in 2 days. Mr. Perez - we call him "Super Mario" - is a highly qualified contractor for not only tree service but for general construction, landscaping, small paint jobs, hauling, moving, dumping, clearing large expanses of brush, installing security cameras, most handyman jobs, etc., etc. I've worked with him for 2 years during which he professionally replaced a major retaining wall at my home, rebuilt exterior stairs at the side of my home, power washed my 9 decks, stained decks, repaired fences and gates, patched and painted all the exterior stucco where needed, cleared out 2,000 sq ft of storage/sub area and hauled everything to the dump, raked the sub area, removed incorrectly installed insulation in my furnace room and RE wrapped all the furnace ducts - there is almost nothing that he can't do. AND, very importantly, if he isn't qualified to perform a job, he will tell you and bring in a friend who is an expert in the field and get the job done. All the work Super Mario has performed for me was perfect. He is always punctual, usually early!, dignified, has a quiet confidence, works quickly and competently. I could not more highly recommend a contractor to you. He is the hardest worker I've ever employed. He works into the night sometimes if we have a deadline or something just needs to get done.
