Our family has used Randy Blair landscape five times over the past 10 years. This includes three different houses. He listens to your ideas, provides guidance, makes recommendations, very sensitive to your budget and does quality work on time as promised. He does multiple check-ins throughout the project and keeps you up-to-date on the schedule every week. His crew has been with him for many years and are as solid as they come. Our project took 8 weeks and the crew showed up every morning at 7am. When they left, the yard was cleaned up. We will continue to use Randy when our landscape projects arise. read more

I got an estimate from Blair landscape services and it was very thorough and complete. I still haven't gone ahead with the project but so far I'm very satisfied. read more

Randy and his crew brought our front yard back to life. Our front yard grass had been left alone due to the drought, cost, and becoming more water conservation minded and we decided to replace our grass with low water plant landscaping installed on the drip irrigation system. Randy was such a pleasure to work with as I juggled our HOA approval process and requirements in applying for an EBMUD lawn conversion rebate. He managed through fixing our broken water pipes, help in selecting plants, keeping to the plan/vision we had, while staying in budget. The job took three and a half days from start to finish. We love it! Rebate approved. Happy customer. read more

This is a long overdue review. I have used Blair landscaping for two major projects now. From the initial design and budget, Randy works closely with you to ensure your needs are met. For our backyard project he built us a pergola that's I found online and to this day looks beautiful. They also put in plants, grass and built a beautiful seating area along the back to host our family events. This year Randy completed work in our front yard. A complete makeover that included paving, building a tree box, grass and several beautiful plants were added. Randy is extremely personable, easy to work with, adjusts as you go along when needed and ensures he checks in and inspects all the work his crew does to ensure the quality is there. His crew is hard working, showed up on time each day, cleaned up at the end of the day and very nice people overall. It was a pleasure working with Randy and his crew. I would highly recommend Blair landscaping and will be using them for any future landscaping projects! read more

Randy wasn't able to help me, but still called me back and gave me the name of a company that would be able to help me with my small concrete job. Thank you for the great service even if I couldn't use your services! read more

We worked with Randy late last year to re-do our front and back landscape, which had gotten out of hand. Randy produced a design for each yard and was happy to work with us to make some adjustments to a few of the plants to suit our tastes. He worked with us on our budget and was able to deliver an excellent outcome, on time and within budget. We found him to be no-pressure and easy to work with. He was very good at communication and his crew arrived on time and were very orderly and diligent in their work. I'm writing this a bit later than planned, but now that the landscape has been in for a few months it looks beautiful - front and back. We had a couple of small punch list items and Randy made sure they were all taken care of with no difficulty. Highly recommend Blair Landscape Services and let Randy know we're happy to be a reference for his work. read more

Randy Blair's knowledge, skill and character are extraordinary. He expertly executed my landscape design. His crew is as reliable, hardworking and friendly as he is. They worked from 7 am until 3:30 every weekday until the job was done. Randy was on-site every day to ensure work was done according to the plan. When the work was done, I truly felt sad that they wouldn't be coming back. They cleaned up every day. My neighbors remarked on the neatness of their work. If you're looking for a landscaping contractor and want the best, Randy Blair is the contractor for you. Prepare to be amazed! read more

In June we had the pleasure of working with Blair Landscape Services, Inc. to completely redesign our very tired and overgrown front yard. Owner Randy Blair is very professional and from our first meeting I felt comfortable working with him to finalize our landscape design. Our project entailed demolition of all existing plants and lawn and removal of some of the concrete walkway to the front porch. A smaller lawn area was added with a new irrigation system. Beautiful Mediterranean plants and shrubs on a drip system surround the lawn. But by far my favorite part of the transformation is the addition of a new paver pathway, pavers on the front porch and a low voltage lighting system throughout the yard. These elements have really transformed the look of our home and have greatly improved our curb appeal! Randy's hard working crew arrived on time each morning and kept on schedule each and every step of the way. Randy is a great communicator, both with his crew and with us, keeping us informed as the work progressed. He always checked in with us if our input was needed for clarification on any aspect of the design or work along the way. We appreciated Randy's extensive knowledge of plants and shrubs that would do well in our climate. He was also open to switching something out if we had a favorite plant that would do well in our yard. Ultimately we went with almost everything that he proposed and the results are stunning! I would highly recommend Blair Landscape Services and would hire them again without hesitation! Randy Blair has been beautifying landscapes in the tri-valley for over 30 years and has a loyal client base with excellent referrals. We are proud to be among them! read more

Randy and his crew did a great job landscaping our backyard. We know very little about plants, trees, etc that would make our yard look beautiful, so we put ourselves in Randy's hands. He patiently listened to us try and explain what we wanted. He came up with a great plan. The crew worked hard even during the hottest days, they were very detailed, and were respectful. We get lots of compliments from neighbors. We plan to have Randy come back next Spring and landscape the front yard. read more

Excellent customer service! Randy was very easy to work with. Not only did he come out twice to help me develop a beautiful yard, he did so while keeping within my budget. Randy has a B.S. in Horticulture and did a great job helping me select plants to my specifications. He really listened to what I wanted done and stayed on budget. When I contacted him months prior and scheduled a start date he said he'd get back to me a week before he and his crew were going to start. He actually called me a day earlier than expected! Off to a good start, much better than the landscapers who said they'd get in touch only to never be heard from again. Randy is very organized and kept me up-to-date with each step of the process. Randy was excellent at keeping me updated and responded to my emails within a day or so. Randy's crew were awesome. They are a very nice, hard working group and did a great job preparing my front and back yards for landscaping. They always arrived about the same time every day and were ready to work. At the end of each day, they left everything neat and clean. I highly recommend Blair Landscape Services. read more

As with most homes in the area, we let our lawn go brown because of the drought. We contacted Randy to design and install new drought-tolerant landscaping in the front yard, as well as compact gravel on our side yard. Both turned out beautifully! The front yard was re-landscaped with mulch, a cool winding dry creek bed, and an nice variety of low-maintenance plants on a drip system. It's definitely enhanced the curb appeal and we've gotten a lot of positive feedback from neighbors and passerby's. Randy and his crew were great - easy to work with, very knowledgeable, and competitively priced. We will definitely be using them for future landscaping projects. read more

We had Randy do some work in our backyard. He fixed our sprinkler system and planted some trees on our hill. His work was very good and reasonably priced. Randy is very honest and stands behind his work. read more

Blair Landscaping is a first rate business all around. Randy and his co-workers, who were all very professional, finished a full redo on the front of our house in Sycamore Homes, Danville, CA in mid-April 2019. We have received many, many compliments from folks watching the work being done and walking by the house. The design, completed by J Montgomery designs, was very well executed by Blair. His price was very reasonable and the work, plants and materials selected were of highest quality. I recommend his company without reservation. read more

Even though we did not go with Randy to build our side yard, I was throroughly impressed with how well he listened to me and included all the small details in his spec sheet for our landscaping job. He has a vast knowledge of foliage and what grows well here, and was punctual in his bid submission The only reason we did not use him is we decided we wanted to use a concrete contractor to build the heavy duty walls and drainage since we have issues on our slope. When the time comes to re-design our plant palette, you can be sure I will give Randy a call. read more

I highly recommend Blair Landscape services for any of your landscaping needs. Unlike or vendors, Randy was punctual, professional, methodical and a real pleasure to work with. He detailed every aspect of the job in his proposal, and was very flexible with his scheduling. Moreover, his bid was very competitive. I intend to use his services again, when the need arises. read more

Randy and his team are great! Ramon and Manuel rebuilt a wooden retaining wall for us that was old and beginning to rot. There was more damage than we realized, but they were fast and efficient and got the job done quickly. My husband kept mentioning to me what hard workers these guys are. Randy also gave us very, very good pricing on the additional work! The quality of their work was excellent. The wall looks great and we couldn't be more pleased. We will use them again for our next landscaping project. I can't say enough good things! I would highly recommend them. As soon as the wall is painted, I'll post the pictures. It's really beautiful! read more

Blair Landscape Service - Here is a picture of the retaining wall that Randy's team completed for us. We couldn't be happier! - Landscaping Near Me - Livermore, California

We have worked with Randy three separate times over ten years. Each time, Randy has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Randy is extremely honest, patient, and extremely knowledgeable in all areas of landscape design and construction. For each of our projects, Randy spent time evaluating our ideas and helping to bring them to reality. Our most recent project was the most complex (for us). We added an outdoor BBQ Kitchen, replaced aging flagstones with concrete pavers, installed a water feature, and built a T-Arbor. At the same time, Randy and his crew resolved a long-standing drainage problem, refreshed our plants, and replaced our 20+ year old outdoor landscape lights. While we had 'rough ideas' what we wanted, Randy turned them into reality. We did not hire a landscape architect to design this, but just talked with Randy who was able to guide his crew successfully bringing it all together. We never felt we missed anything by doing this directly with Randy. We do not regret spending our landscape money with Randy rather than hiring a landscape architect for many thousands of dollars. We never felt that was necessary and Randy handled it all. Our only regret is that we don't have more projects to do with Randy right now as he is such a pleasure to have around. read more

Blair Landscaping transformed the 360 degree outdoor space at our house. The project took about 3 weeks and included removing existing mal-performing trees, wisteria, rotten pergolas, weed filled grass and inefficient irrigation. In its place they delivered 22 species of plants and trees, built a rock retaining wall, planted the most appropriate trees along the perimeter, installed quality landscape lighting, replaced the grass with a variety that will better withstand our dogs and kids and converted all planting beds to drip irrigation. The crew was superb and showed up every morning on time and cleaned up every afternoon when done. The owner is phenomenally knowledgeable on plants and is a true partner in picking the best plants for the space based on your input. Once we saw the quality of work we added side projects such as fixing a clogged drainage pipe and shortening a planting bed near the pool. The project as a whole turned out even better than we could have expected and I am harder to please than most. I would never hesitate to recommend Randy and his crew if you really want to bring your landscaping dreams to life. read more

Blair didn't actually do any work for us. But Randy did something most small businesses don't - he called back after I left a message to tell me his company doesn't service my area at this time. This kind of courtesy call goes a long way in getting my recommendation. In addition, he gave me advice on the best way to get competitive quotes, as well as the name of a company that he felt had a good reputation and served my area. Thanks, Randy, for great customer service, even though I wasn't a customer! read more

OUTSTANDING!! We had a wonderful experience working with Randy Blair for our landscaping re do in June 2017. We had our original landscaping done 10 years ago by another company. Our plants never seemed to grow very well no matter what we did, and so we wanted to plant new trees, and flowers, treat the soil and install an irrigation and fertilizer system on our property. We are SO GLAD we found Randy. RANDY IS HONEST, KIND, CONSIDERATE, EASY TO WORK WITH, AND THOROUGH. RANDY IS ON TIME AND ON BUDGET. We gave Randy our ideas for what we had in mind for the landscaping and he made it so much better. He is extremely knowledgeable about plants and trees. He advised us on which plants would work best, and in what locations on our property, as he has a degree in Horticulture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He worked with us on using some of our existing plants, which now look so healthy. Randy planted new plants and trees for our front yard, back yard, and an adjacent hillside on our property. He brought in fertile soil, installed an irrigation and fertilizer system that is making all of our plants thrive and grow. He and his employees worked very efficiently and got the job done in about 2 weeks without any delays. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND BLAIR LANDSCAPING. We are so happy with Randy Blair and the work that he has done. The plants are healthy and thriving. Our landscaping looks great. THANK YOU SO MUCH RANDY !! read more

This past winter, Randy Blair of Blair Landscape Services provided a written proposal to "groom" my wife's incredible backyard. Because of her love for our outdoor sanctuary, she is very particular about who she will chose to provide the annual service to cut back and prepare her precious plants for the upcoming spring season. Well, needless to say, she chose Blair Landscape Services. Randy knows his craft....he made great recommendations, administered the project with personal oversight and the results of his work are nothing less than excellent! Thank you Randy...a beautiful garden=a happy wife=a happy life! read more

Blair Landscape Services redid my dads entire backyard last year. They did an amazingly thorough job at a reasonable price. Whenever there was a plant that died, they came out and fixed it immediately. I would highly recommend Blair Landscape! read more

I can't say enough good things about Randy Blair and his landscape company. He provided a bid and right away we felt comfortable doing business with him. He works with our Planner and calls her if there is a problem or needs clarification on the plants she is suggesting. His workers arrive at the expected time, 8 am and work very hard until 6 pm. They say they are going to do the job and they do. Now after all the plants are in we plan to use his landscape services to keep our beautiful garden up. He removed 3,000 sq ft of lawn and we are extremely happy with the looks of our backyard read more

What a pleasure working with Randy and his crew. They took my old-fashioned, juniper front yard and turned it into an amazing garden. All my neighbors, even the mailman, have remarked at how attractive it is. Each member of the crew was pleasant and helpful. They solved each issue with knowledge and professionalism and Randy was able to offer advice based on years of experience. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

We became acquainted with Randy and Blair Landscape Services when bidding on an auction item to support Foothill High School. First, I commend the company for donating their services to support a local school. Secondly, I'm happy to say that we won the auction and had the chance to use Blair Landscape to replace a dead birch tree in our yard. Quite frankly, when we bid on the item, we weren't sure it included planting of the tree...the item was vague and they could have easily claimed the auction was just for the tree. Not only did they include the planting of the tree, they removed the old dead tree, replaced the old poles used to stabilize the tree with new ones at no additional cost, and ensured that there was adequate water from our drip to it. We are very impressed with Randy and his company and would definitely consider using them on future landscaping projects! read more

Randy Blair and his team landscaped our front and back yard and put in a drip system and raised bed last fall, and we were very pleased with their work. They were professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Our plants have really taken off, and it's been so much fun to watch them grow and bloom. Our yard is no longer a source of stress and frustration for me: it is now a joy to be outside and to watch our two young children taking such pleasure in the yard. read more

We hired Randy for a small landscape project, and left the plant picking up to him , as for this particular space we didn't really know what would look and work best. Randy put this planter together that is durable and beautiful. He really knows his plants. We also had few plants in the backyard that needed to be replaced and he knew just the type that would work best. They are all flourishing and look very nice. They accent the rest of the plans we had very nicely. I would highly recommend Randy. It's important to have someone with the horticulture background that he does, to understand what works best along with your requests. read more

We chose to work with Blair Landscape after getting several quotes from other companies. They just didn't give us a good feeling. Right from the start we felt Randy was right for us. He understood our budget and our vision. But more importantly he was able to provide us with ideas that we hadn't even considered. Blair Landscaping built a retaining wall for us, leveled our yard to make it more useable, and installed new irrigation. We went with his recommendations for plants and sod and couldn't be happier. He was easy to work with and his crew were very professional. We now have a yard we are proud of. Thanks Randy and Blair Landscaping. read more

We asked Blair Landscape Services to return and update our backyard through lawn removal and water conservation measures. Their work involved replacing clay with "Ruth Bancroft mix" (yes, that's a plug), adding plantings, walkways, lighting, and a dry creek. They also installed an impressive drainage system and replaced sprinklers with a drip system. We started with some ideas and a sketch and the Blair crew made it a reality. Our ideas were respected, and Randy made helpful suggestions. The crew is very hard working and considerate. Our new yard is simply perfect! read more

If you need a landscaping job done, this is THE company to choose! We had a clear vision of how we wanted our yard to look. Randall made that vision become a reality. From what was basically a building site, his excellent team of workers produced a beautiful yard we can't wait to spend time in. While we wanted our planting to be low maintenance and mainly evergreen, we left plant selection to Randall and his choices are perfect. From the initial clear out, installation of a new drainage system, stamped concrete, watering system, fountain installation, borders and fenced in trash can area - everything was done quickly, professionally and perfectly! Not only was the work area left spotless and tidy at the end of each long day - the area outside the front of the house was swept, cleared of all debris and washed down on a daily basis. A totally stress free and seamless experience - we would recommend Randall and his first class team unreservedly to anyone who wants a fantastic yard! Highly recommended! read more

Great reviews but unfortunately never returned my calls. Was interested in simple irrigation tune-up, landscaping design and extensive lighting. read more

I have no problem recommending Blair Landscape Services. Randy (the owner) is extremely professional providing well laid out estimates. Everything was performed to schedule. The crews were always on time and some days worked beyond finishing time as they wanted to make sure to be at a good finishing point for the day. Our back garden was not too bad but was a bit dated. Randy worked with us to spread it out over 3 major projects with a time frame of 18 months. The crew took out shrubs and lawn at the side and proceeded to build a large new Trex deck with drainage, converted most of the sprinklers throughout the garden to drip plus reworked a large corner with new plantings . Phase two was taking out a large concrete pad with wooden shade structure to replace it with a Trex deck and new shade structure, replacing all the irrigation with drip plus replacing the old lawn plus putting in landscape lighting (something new for the garden - and I love it). Finally phase 3 was taking down our old storage shed, building a new pergola, adding a climbing trellis and putting in lovely flagstone hardscape. In each phase we also did some replacement and new plantings. Randy broke each large phase down into smaller projects priced accordingly so we were able to keep within our budget. Everything looks wonderful. Once the drought is over we will have Randy back to redo our front. read more

If you need any landscaping done do not hesitate to call these guys. Randy and the guys do first class work and more importantly do it in a neat, honest and timely manner. I called them some time in April for an estimate and at the time they scheduled me to start June 24th. I thought as the date got closer they would have to bump me back a couple of weeks as I was sure the other jobs ahead of me would be delayed but that was not the case. June 24th came and they were on the job and 3 weeks later my front and rear lawns and landscaping were complete. We had them do a concrete aggregate mow strip along with irrigation and some drainage repairs to go with the landscaping in our Pleasanton home. The best part is all of the new landscaping ties in perfectly with our existing landscape making it impossible to tell what we had done. Many thanks to Randy and the crew I will highly recommend them. read more
