Erik, owner of Las Palmas, was referred to us by Lynda at Outer Visions Landscape. We hired Las Palmas last year after getting quotes from three different contractors. Las Palmas wasn't the least expensive of the three, but we felt very comfortable with Erik and his expertise at our initial meeting. He and his crew know what they're doing, make suggestions for better functionality, are flexible and easy-going, and to top it off are really nice people. We had a very specific, custom curved bench built by them and it was completed beyond our expectations. With any project during the pandemic, there were a couple hiccups/delays due to supply chain issues, but from start to finish the project took 2-1/2 months and we couldn't be happier. We love our backyard and will use Las Palmas for our future front yard project. read more

We were referred to Las Palmas by our Landscape Designer. We wanted to replace our driveway and walkway and replace our grass with drought tolerant plants. We love the pavers that they put in and receive tons of compliments. He even made a suggestion on swapping the stairs/ramps locations and it looks great. He's responsive and very professional. It's been five months since our install and we had a small issue. Not only did he come out and fix it but he had a crewmember blow the yard and even add sand between the pavers. Erik and his team did an amazing job with our backyard remodel. I contacted three different landscape contractors at the beginning of the project and Erik was professional from the start. He was the only one of the three that provided a detailed estimate of the work we discussed at the initial meeting. His pricing is reasonable and quality of work is beautiful. Scope of work was - leveling part of the yard, creating rock retaining wall, stucco of current retaining wall, installation of turf, new steps on hillside, planting and mulch on hillside, building outdoor shower (I decided on change of design partway through and Erik executed for us), installation of lights, concrete over part of yard. He readily understood what we were looking for and how he could accommodate our needs in terms of design and budget. Erik has recently acquired Kerri Landscaping, also based in Livermore. Workers from Kerri (Armando, Irwin, and Nuan) arrived in late-October and immediately started the demolition and tear-out of our existing front yard. Notable progress was made each day, and after three weeks we were rewarded with an amazingly transformed front yard. Two foremen, Dave and Jorge, made periodic visits and regularly updated us on the progress being made, while resolving our questions and concerns. Both were easy to communicate with and always responsive. Armando is a highly skilled mason who created a front landing and steps that truly exceeded our expectations. We had Erik Morales of Las Palmas Landscaping do a complete remodel of our backyard, and we could not be happier with the end result! The work included leveling the entire yard, turning a wall behind the pool into a large raised planter, redoing the pool coping, piping and traps, then redoing the yard's drainage and paving the yard and walkway. From the start, Erik and his staff exceeded all expectations. He visited with us to understand our wants and needs then after preparing a very detailed estimate, came back and went through the whole process to let us know what to expect and where we had options to change things on the estimate. His estimate also detailed at what points along the way payments would be due....all very clear. All Erik's teams (the fence guys, pool, stone and tile work, and pavers) were all hard working, put in a full day's work, and were very respectful, polite, and friendly! Erik did a fantastic job of coordinating the different teams to come in to get their part of the job done, in spite of having to put up with rainy and cold weather throughout the project. We were very impressed with all the workers who contributed to get the backyard done. Lastly, when all the hardscape was done, Erik met us at a nursery where, given his in-depth knowledge of horticulture, he suggested plants that perfectly met all our wishes for the look and upkeep of the backyard. We have just completed a major backyard remodel, including lots of hardscape, flagstone, grading to fix drainage problems. Erik and his crew did a fantastic job all around. The flagstone placement, the rock wall assembly, addressing the drainage issues...all were professionally done and in a timely manner. Also, he has a keen sense of design and practically. Not only does the back yard look amazing, but he's thought of all the little details that make it flow well. Communication with Erik was great and he went above and beyond to provide us with the exact back yard of our dreams. We found Erik and Las Palmas through our landscape designer, Lynda Miekle from Outer Visions (who I highly recommend as well). Erik and his team are really great to work with and very professional. He worked with Lynda to redesign the lighting and plants in both our front our back yards and he helped design and layout our side yard which was uninspiring to say the least. Now we have a beautiful garden with corten steel planters and stunning, flagstone walkway. We also had Erik help design a pergola for our outdoor kitchen. Everything we had seen from other builders was "wimpy" and didn't really go with our home. We ended up using much larger posts and working with cedar as opposed to redwood. Erik even hand-torched the wood to give it an instant weathered look. My husband and I were both very impressed with the job they did. We will definitely use them again for any of our outdoor projects. read more

Extremely fortunate to have selected Erik Morelas of Las Palmas landscape services to transform my front, side, and backyard into a beautiful and relaxing outdoor living space. The project consisted of completely ripping out the entire front and back yards including the driveway. From the bidding process to the last installed element working with Erik was extremely pleasant. Erik has excellent analytical and  communication skills as well as excellent project management skills. His passion and knowledge was apparent during the entire installation process. Erik submitted a competitive bid that was very detailed describing each element precisely with a fair cost associated with each line item. The other 3 bids I received provided a lump sum format which made it impossible to deferencaiate and separate all elements. I selected Las Palmas landscape for the simple reason that Erik provided a comprehensive understanding of the entire project which eliminated any possible misunderstandings that could potentially arise in projects of this magnitude. Because of this clear and complete contract, our project was completed on time and on budget. I'm new to this review site and my experience with Las Palmas was a few years ago, but I thought that I should share my experience with them after a terrible experience with a landscaper I used recently. The crew from Las Palmas leveled the yard, laid down a border all around and applied several layers of crushed granite, all in two days. As I said, this was all done a few years ago, but still I couldn't be happier with it. And the best part is that my dogs can't destroy it. I highly recommend them. read more

We have an acre that needed a lot of work: cleaning up from years of neglect and the construction, correcting drain issues, repairing old irrigation lines, installing new irrigation lines and controller, installing new LED lighting in planter beds, along pathways, and on stairs, installing Bluetooth extenders and a transformer, adding a pool fill line from our remodeled pool, leveling and bark installation in all planter beds, turf installation, and river rock installation. The owner, Erik Morales, is very detailed oriented as is his entire staff. Everyone that Erik sent to the house was kind, a hard worker, had pride in their work, didn't cut any corners, and left everything cleaner than they found it which is a rarity! Erik was very helpful in picking out materials and communicating the order of the jobs so we understood what was done and what was left to be finished.
