Easily my best experience with construction projects! I have an old house that has some suboptimal drainage system: some gutter downspouts directly pour onto the ground next to the foundation walls, and some downspouts are connected with an underground pipe system that does not drain very well. Josue and his team provided a very thoughtful plan with every detail in the contract, and swiftly finished the whole project in less than 2 weeks. The whole job includes quite some digging to implement 2 underground water pipe systems that navigate all the way to 30ft away from the house, plus additional gutter downspout installation. Besides, Josue assured 100% customer satisfaction: he is super active during the whole process, almost visiting the site himself everyday, and answered every single of my question( I asked a lot of questions based on my research and he was so patient to take care of them). Moreover, I insisted the plan to be changed in the middle of the work because I discovered other potential concerns with this old house, but Josue did not hesitate to change the plan per my ask and even voluntarily lowered the agreed price due to less work performed in the new plan. We recently redid our entire front yard with Crest Landscaping and couldn't have better things to say! We plan to hire them again for our backyard project next, that's how much we loved them. First, price was extremely competitive compared to the bids we received from other local and well-rated landscape companies. From the start, Josue was communicative, invested and excited for us and our project. He treated it like his own front yard and offered great suggestions while also understanding our vision. He was quick to send over a bid and adjusted it according to our feedback, including suggesting ways to keep within our budget. Second, his crew is in-house and super responsible. They were here every day at 8am and stayed till past 5pm. They cleaned up every day when they finished and even took out our trash cans on trash day. They were hard working and meticulous, down to cleaning up every stray strand of mulch! Lastly, Josue himself went above and beyond in every way. He made time to go to the nursery with us so we could look at plants together. He had great suggestions for drought tolerant plants in shade and full sun. Then he met with us several times at our house to discuss placement and arrangement of the plants. Again, so meticulous! He took the initiative to suggest and even cover the cost of several boulders that we hadn't thought to include, and those really elevated the overall look of our yard. And he worked with us to make sure lighting and irrigation lines were all set up well for both now and any additions in the future. First thing I want to say is, picking Josue's team to re-landscape our yard is one of the BEST decisions I ever made. This review is long due. Josue's team is friendly, professional, and most of all EFFICIENT. Josue himself is a ball of joy to work with, very responsive and really takes care of you. We had a very big landscaping projects my fiance and I were pretty nervous and anxious about it (especially since this was our first time dealing with a project at this scale). But we had absolutely nothing to worry about since Josue really took our opinions into consideration, explained each step with clarity, and most of all -- he really helped us save a lot of $$$; due to his team's efficiency, we spent about $10k less than the budget we allocated. At the end of this project, our yard was so clean, beautiful and pristine. On top of all this, Josue's team also helped clean up our front yard. Josue is extremely detailed-oriented, and it was a lot of fun picking plants with him at the nursery and picking pavers. Our praise for Josue is endless - I almost didn't want him to leave haha. Our yard before the work was a complete disaster where: 1) everything in the yard was too old, 2) overgrown vegetation with invasive species of trees, 3) no drainage (so our crawlspace would get wet with every heavy rainfall and causing our bathrooms to smell like mold in the house), and 4) soil level was too high in the entire yard. Our yard looked the worst after all the atmospheric rain and storm. Our overgrown vegetation was so bad that my fiance and I would joke about how a wild pokemon could appear in our yard. Overall, 10+ trees were removed with their roots and stumps (in which was done in less than 3 days)! Soil level was lowered. Drainage system installed to ensure none would go into the crawlspace during rainfall and would flow back out to the street. We hired a separate company to install new fences, and Josue was well prepared for that as well and coordinated with the fencing company. Planted a few new plants. Installed some yard lights (they're absolutely gorgeous). Got new pavers and artificial turf installed. This project started in mid-December 2023 and was completed around end of February 2024. We are super happy with how our yard is now, and got many compliments from friends. It's been about 3 months since completion, our pavers still look amazing and the drainage system is still working well, and all new plants planted are looking great. read more

Our yard started off as a gopher infested overgrown patch of weeds on a slope. Crest leveled the yard, built retaining walls and a fence, put in irrigation and sprinklers, added lighting and added a gravel pit, grass and plants. What an amazing company this is! I feel so lucky to have found them. I was, first and foremost, looking for a licensed company- and that led me to Crest. Then, of course, I read the reviews- which were amazing and totally deserved! We had a large space to re-landscape- a long stretch between the street and sidewalk and then the lawn in front of our house. We wanted to xeriscape, using drought tolerant plants. Josue was so helpful. He talked through every part of the process with me and came up with wonderful suggestions. I just love every part of the transformation my yard has made! I was involved in picking the plants and choosing the rocks and Josue checked with me every step of the way to make sure I like the yard. I spent a lot of time putting off this project, because I was worried that it would be a pain, but it was actually really fun, and creative and I am in love with the results! I do not believe I have ever worked with a more detail oriented craftsman- Josue is an artist. If you are doing landscaping you will be doing yourself a favor to hire Josue and his team. I would not work with anyone else for our other landscaping projects. Just to give you some idea of scope- we had about 2000 square feet to landscape (a little under)- and we needed old grass dug out, landscape fabric, drip lines, about 300 plants put in, a tree planted, rocks (river rocks, large boulders, and lavarocks) installed, and all the work that goes with that. Josue and his team far exceeded our expectations. Our backyard was in terrible condition after months of rain and very poor drainage. We knew we needed to invest in new drainage but didn't think we would have any budget leftover for much else. Enter Josue... We ended up with not only new french and surface drains, but they did demolition, some excavation to extend and level our patio space, installed new pavers, redid our irrigation, extended our lawn, installed plants and gravel, poured a concrete ramp, installed lighting, and even cleaned our gutters, touched up the exterior paint on our house, and installed a new sprinkler timer and a transformer. Having been in the facility management business for years I contacted a landscaper I had a relationship to landscape our front yard. Quickly it became apparent that this company would not work. So, I began the arduous process of finding the right company that not only I but more importantly my wife could work with. Very Tall order. After hours of reading reviews, I found Crest Landscaping company had 38 five-star reviews. I read them twice then made the call to Josue. When we met, I said if you are half as good as your reviews you are the man for the job. We met for an hour and immediately hit it off he referred us to his designer who came to the house two weeks later. Although it was not what we expected the designer got us a basic drawing that we could work with, and he was very reasonable. The original project was to remove the grass and walkway add plants, irrigation, drainage and a paver walkway. After observing the expertise of Josue's team and Jose being who he is the project quickly grew to tiling a 500sq porch which needed leveling, a large fountain in the yard with a dry creek running the length of the yard. Then we added a raised planter, which we lit up with well lights, replaced the driveway with pavers that matched the huge walkway with a beautiful in-lay design. Josue's team was professional, meticulous, timely and very skilled. They only used the best products available I know, I checked. The Crest team is not limited to just landscaping they handled the plumbing and electrical as well. Josue has a contractor's license and can handle just about anything you throw at him. The project took just over two months and during that time there was never a problem or even a delay. I have not written a Yelp review in over ten years, but Josue and his team are special and deserving of my gratitude and my time.
