I'm not one to usually write reviews, positive or negative. However, in the case of Brasmerica, I had to carve out some time to post this. It's not often that you come across a service, that from start to end, reflects what professionalism and quality work should be about. Carlos, Alberto, and the entire crew, from the demolition guys to the installer team, exhibited this, in spades. They were great listeners, answered every question that was thrown to them, shared their opinions (that I often corroborated online as the right call) and worked with you to incorporate the small changes that invariably every project has, without fuss. I can't remember an instance when I didn't receive a response from Carlos, within 2 min of sending a message. Didn't matter what time it was! Best of all, they started within a week of signing, gave me a 3-4 week window to complete the project, and 3.5 weeks in, were done! I never saw their crew slack -- everyone worked as a team, clocked in every day (including Sundays if they thought they were behind), always smiling and friendly. Carlos or Alberto were also constantly checking in, to make sure things were progressing to satisfaction. We interviewed at least 5-6 Paver installers and all of Yelp's top starred Pavers businesses. I'm sure all have earned their stripes (or stars, in this case!). However, Carlos stood out in terms of his authenticity, patience, and genuine care for your needs. He gave you confidence that he knew his trade, and was very knowledgeable. And, most importantly, he was competitively priced, and perhaps the top 2 in terms of pricing our project. If you are looking for a reputable and caring company to do you paver job, you just found them! Stop looking at multiple companies and dealing with all of the flakes out there and just go with Carlos and Alberto from Brasmerica. We used a different paver company 5 years ago at our old home that we sold and the job turned out good, but there was a lot of stress in the getting to the finish line of the project, with the usual trying to get the project manager to understand what the salesperson had promised, then getting the project manager to actually show up at jobsite so I could show him what needed to be changed, etc. In the end it turned out fine, but you get the picture....lots of stress to get it done the way we wanted it! Now, fast forward 5 years to our new forever home that we moved to and wanted to get pavers done. I make 3 phone calls to get 3 bids. Company 1 comes out in a few days and takes all our measurements, then takes weeks to get an estimate to me. Company 2 was a referral to us, so they come out and take all our measurements and I've never heard from Company 2 again...not one word and the project is now complete! Now enters Company 3 - Carlos from Brasmerica - I called him and he came out the very next day, took all our measurements, and I asked him when I could get an estimate and he said if I had time, he could sit down right now and work up the estimate for me! He gave me 3 books to look through to pick out the style and color of stone we wanted, while he worked up the numbers in about 15 minutes! All that was left for me to do was select the color and stone we wanted. I showed Carlos the 2 stones we were leaning towards and he gave me some addresses of projects he had done that had these colors and materials, so I could drive by and check them out in person. I drove by 3 locations the next day, where I actually met the property owners who were working in their yard and they couldn't stop raving about how great Carlos and everyone on their crews were to work with! I was already feeling the great vibe with Carlos, but their positive feedback about dealing with Brasmerica really sealed the deal for me, so I called Carlos and asked him to stop by and finalize our contract, so I could give him a deposit and get started. From there, I dealt with Marcio and his demo crew, as we had a couple of days of demo work to do. as we were expanding the flat area of our yard, doing some grading and putting a small wall in as a backdrop to the new pavers area that would hold our new hot tub. Everything that I spoke to Marcio about that I wanted to tweak here and there, I was greeted with the same response....no problem, and it got done! Now keep in mind, these weren't things they were doing wrong, it's just as a project of the size of our starts to take shape, you make little tweaks here and there to the design layout....or move a sprinkler head here instead of there...or I decided I wanted a small section to curve Instead of being straight...that type of thing. Now enters the install crew, headed up by Santos. Exact same attitude from everyone on this crew also....no matter what I brought up, the response was always, no problem! And I should mention that Carlos and Alberto were on the job almost everyday to check and see how things were going. Additionally, I had Carlos's cell phone number, so anytime I texted him with a question, he was always quick to respond...every.single.time....no exceptions....even when I got home at 7pm one night and wanted to make a small change to the length of a wall, he picked up the phone, discussed what I wanted to do, I sent him a picture showing my idea....and he communicated it to Santos that night, so when he showed up the next morning and I went to make sure he knew of the change, he was already working on it! Bottom line...everyone at Brasmerica is cut from a different cloth than most contractors in business today. These guys genuinely care about the quality of their work...and want to make sure that you are happy! I've been a homeowner for 35 years and dealt with a LOT of various contractors in that time....and I can promise you won't find any as good at their craft as these guys....and that they are nice to deal with also, is just icing on the cake! We've already got another paver project in mind for the front yard that I'm looking forward to doing with these guys next year! Carlos and Leo are great to work with! They installed a new 600 sq ft patio for us in the first week of January. Carlos has great communication skills- he always responded to my texts within a few minutes, and was patient and helpful. He's easy-going and flexible. He brought us numerous paver and color samples and gave us great advice. We chose the Belgard large Catalina Grana pavers in the Bella color. With their Dec/Jan discount, their price was lower than all the other company bids, and they use the same materials and techniques as the other companies. The demolition team was on time and made quick work of our existing yard. They were able to fit their mini-bobcat through our gate and down our narrow side path, taking care not to damage anything. By the end of the day they had filled the dump truck twice over, leveled out the yard, and laid down geotex fabric and crushed rock. Then on day 2, Leo and his team followed up with installing drain pipe, capping and re-routing sprinkler pipe, then grading and laying down sand. On a very long day 3, they started by finishing the sand, and compacting, then cutting and laying the pavers. Then the concrete edge-footing and border stones. Finally they filled the seams with polymeric super sand, compacted again, and watered it down to activate the glue in the sand. We had to wait on a few cold wet weather days before doing the final sealer. On the next warm sunny day, Leo and Carlos returned to apply the Glaze N Seal. We chose the Natural look, which really enhanced the color, without looking too shiny. Leo is a fine craftsman who clearly has extensive experience installing pavers. He was decisive and meticulous. He had to cut some tricky curves to work around the existing patio shape, and the results are impressive. The joints between pavers are narrow and consistent throughout. The grading and drainage all appears to be perfect- we've had several big rain storms since January, and we haven't had any puddles or or other issues. They left us a bunch of extra pavers and a bag of super-sand, just in case we ever need them. We love our new patio! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this team. Thanks Brasmerica! And I probably may have loved the pavers from one of the other companies, as well.. But I'm sure not as much as Brasmerica! But their customer service was something that I was most impressed with! Stuff's gonna happen and it's all in how you work together to get over the hurdles. My project was front and backyard pavers and mowing strip replacements for my modest 6K sf lot. Their crew did an awesome job on the demo and were very conscientious with how they left the job every day. There were a few things that happened along the way (broken sprinkler head, not using the border pavers where we'd discussed, movement of sprinkler system.. etc) that I had to contact the company about. Most of the work was done while I was working full time, so every evening I'd get home, survey the work and then text or call with questions / comments. They were probably the 4th or 5th bid we got for pavers for our backyard and we didn't hesitate to sign the contract after we met Italo on the first day. He really knew what he was talking about when discussing the installation, drainage, etc. and other technical questions that we had. We selected pavers, and Italo was very communicative when there was a supply issue with the ones that we chose (which ended up only delaying the project by a few days). To me and my wife, Carlos was the most open to our ideas and was the most willing to work with our ideas rather than his own. During the installation process, there were a few issues that arose with the pattern of the pavers and the grading for the drains. The backyard of my home was messed up. And, I thought I needed to put a new deck. When I tried to find new contractors, accidentally I found Brasmerica. They asked me to put stone paves rather than decks. It is expensive but it it worth. Their work is really nice and all stones are well organized and artificial grass is just one piece and nice quality. I would give Brasmerica six stars if I could! I had a 1700 sq ft paver job of Belgard Catalina Grana pavers and a Belgard Melville wall, plus two staircases and lighting. I got six quotes but chose Brasmerica based on their yelp reviews, Diamond Certified status, and overall confidence that Carlos and Alberto (owners) could get the job done right and within my budget. From start to finish, the job took about four weeks, with three days of demolition and 10 days of installation and a short break between demolition and installation, which are performed by different crews. Roger and his installation crew are master craftsmen. They are professional quality and did a wonderful job installing the pavers, walls, staircases and lights. Carlos and his crew were the consummate professionals from start to finish. They provided superior value by being timely, addressing all concerns as soon as possible, displaying craftsmanship and practicality in their work, and following up on all aspects of the job. These old-fashioned business practices are hard to find. Our project started and ended on time and the various work crews worked through sizzling heat to get the job done. They were neat and clean and respectful. The prices are more than competitive. Brasmerica may not have a big, fancy showroom, but they provide the same materials and have more than sufficient equipment and skilled laborers. If you are interested in pavers of any type, do yourself a favor and hire this company.
