I had been planning to get turf for a while and created a project in yelp to get quotes. I got 4 quotes total and Turf World was the best fit for our budget. We wanted a low cost but good installation for our dogs who would be constantly on it. They came out the next day to provide a quote. They were the only team to give a quote on the spot and correctly measure our yard. They also were the only team that wouldn't charge us extra for our weird shape/unused turf. There was an option for gopher wire, we declined but nice to know it was an option. All quotes were in the range of $12-$18 per sq ft. I signed the quote easily through their tracking system and communicated with Jason via yelp messenger. One week later, they came out and did the install from 8am-2pm and as promised, they cleaned everything and even fixed some wire plant fencing the dogs messed up. They had asked me about water lines but I wasn't sure and they ended up accidentally punching a nail into one. They very quickly patched it up and continued on. That is totally my bad for not knowing, they informed me immediately, and they were very professional about the mishap. Payment was easy through their payment portal and a text came with the link to pay just as the team finished their work. We are so happy with the finished product and couldn't be happier with the quality of the team. The efficiency was unreal. We thought this would be a much longer project but 1 week later, here we are! Bonus: some things we learned about turf - turf comes in 15ft wide rolls which determines if you'll have seams - most installers are using the same turf and they all cost the same price - larger installer companies will charge you more because they outsource to smaller and medium sized companies like Turf World so you might as well go right to the source. - whoever you get to install can recommend the best type of turf for your use case (ours was need for lasting turf for dogs) - there are layers to turf, not just the grass on top so the cost includes gravel, sand, siding, staples, weed tarp, hauling away dirt, etc. you can't just roll out turf you buy yourself and have the same result. - the reason for the layers is partly because of drainage, you don't want soggy turf! If you look at the underside of the turf, you can see the drainage holes and depending on what you want, you may want a turf with more drainage holes. read more

We will not recommend this company as they were a No Show for our ~ $4000 + backyard turf project and the owner did not even know about his crew not showing up. We found them unreliable, unprofessional and not trustworthy. However, we did like Kevin who came for the initial consultation, showed us turf samples and took time to answer our questions. But after we accepted the quote and scheduled the installation, despite the text reminders we got about the installation date and email confirmation from this company, nobody showed up the morning of installation!! We had re- arranged our work schedules and other projects for that day to be at home and to prepare our backyard for installation. The contact information of the crew was never communicated to us. We kept waiting for 40 minutes past their scheduled arrival time of 8 am and finally when we called them, Jason, the owner was surprised and said the 'crew should have showed up at 8 am ' and that he will check with them. Then gets back saying that the ' crew did not get the memo about the project today ' and if we can re- schedule it to tomorrow. No apologies, no "sorry for the inconvenience caused" . Definitely poor management, internal communication/ coordination and no follow up. A 'no show' for a scheduled installation, definitely makes them not trustworthy. read more

I reached out to Turf World to see if they could help get the dog urine smell out of my little patch of turf. They asked the size, gave me an estimate and then were available the next day. They came by and brushed up all the grass, added anti-pet odor sand, and hosed the whole thing down with enzyme spray (it turns out the one I had been using was a watered down knock off). Now it smells great in my little yard. All in all it was like $500 for their time and the materials, which looks a little pricey, but they came right the next day, fixed the whole issue, and now I know how to take better care of the turf in the meantime. I think it was a good price for their time, expertise, work, and equipment. I'll definitely ask Turf World again if I need any more turf related help. read more

I'm sorry but there was no time to wait for your team to address the problem caused by not verifying the plumbing before installation. The inspector was on site and my other contract crew was on site so they replaced the plumbing. Unfortunately the turf looks bad now as they aren't turf installers. While getting samples from a synthetic grass distributor that's close by, I asked the front desk person if they could recommend a local contractor that was experienced with fair pricing; I got 3 business cards, ones was Jason. I left a voice message for him, scheduled some other ones to come by later that week since they couldn't come in until then. Then Jason gave me a call back and came through the same day. After meeting Jason in person, talking about the way he goes about operating his business, recycling dirt/concrete, etc I was immediately sold, although there was no pressure at all. I even met his daughter, who he brought along and I could tell he's a loving father. I immediately cancelled all my other appointments because I knew Turf World was the one I was going to go with. We engaged Hector's team in Nov 2024 to install artificial turf in our backyard - approx. 3,000 sq ft. Project scope included: grading; removal of existing grass, mulch, trees, flower beds, stone and concrete; re-routing existing irrigation/ electrical lighting; and wood framing around storm drains. Hector and Jason visited three times during the quoting phase to help advise and plan the project. Once engaged, the team showed up each day at 8am and worked non-stop thru sunset. They completed the job in four days despite terrible weather. The team was fantastic - great communication, transparency, hardworking, knowledgeable, respectful and honest.
