What won me over with Turf World was: 1. Jason's transparency about the process with sending me his You Tube videos (the job went exactly as promised); 2. The turf itself was the best (was the closest replica to grass, the Catalina Pro was not the softest turf I sampled but was the sturdiest and prettiest and stood up the best like grass, and even my 6 year old daughter saw that it was the most realistic looking of 13 samples); 3) his communication, always prompt and complete, and 4) his price was the best. After researching this for 2 months, I went with Turf World and I am thrilled with the result. My advice? Go around and look at installations. Watch videos. I did and after a ton of consideration I went with Turf Word and I am a 100% happy and satisfied customer, And I'm not an easy target. Simon and his team completed essentially all of our exterior landscaping, including both the left and right property-line fences, hardscape and softscape, artificial turf, a decomposed granite patio, Delta Blue Bolero grass, irrigation, mulch, and gravel. The fences were built exactly to the required design, including the use of metal fence posts, and Simon was very attentive to getting the details right. I pay a lot of attention to detail and can be pretty particular about execution. What I really appreciated was that Simon and his crew never seemed put off by the high bar. They understood what we were trying to achieve, worked tirelessly to meet it, and still managed to move at an impressive pace. My experience with Simon is that as long as your design intent is clear and properly communicated, he will find a way to accomplish it. He also had no problem with me being very hands-on throughout the construction process, which I really appreciated. Beyond the contracted work, Simon was incredibly helpful with things that were technically outside the original scope. He was also very flexible with scheduling when I ran into material-supply delays, and always approached changes and problems with a positive, can-do attitude. Just as importantly, Simon is a genuinely enjoyable person to work with. I really enjoyed our end-of-day beers together after wrapping up the work -- a small thing, but it says a lot about the kind of working relationship we had. Hard workers, they got the job done in four days. I have used other paver companies in the past so I knew what I was looking for. Their pricing was very straightforward, with no surprises and extremely reasonable. Kim and David have great ideas and know what they're doing. We had quite a few areas of yard that were overgrown with weeds - they needed to be cleaned up and replaced with weed barrier and mulch. Then we had a large area in the backyard that needed pavers where we will be installing a cedar shed. You can see from the Before and After pictures what a transformation it has been! So we decided to finally put the finishing touches to our front yard. We put out the feelers on Sunday night at 8:30 pm, not expecting to get a reply until Monday morning, but Jacob from Verdigrass responded within 10 minutes! I, along with the wife was impressed by the quick response so we scheduled an estimate with Jacob for Wednesday. Jacob was very accommodating with my work schedule and actually came to my house by 8:00 am. Since Jacob was coming from Vallejo, I knew it was a long distance and he would have to leave very early in the morning, so again, we were impressed. My meeting with Jacob went very well. Since this was my first experience with artificial turf, I had a bunch of questions, which Jacob answered fully. It was also very helpful that he had several samples that I could see and feel. After getting my quote, which came in much lower than another company. We decided to go with Verdigrass due to the experience we had thus far with Jacob. Communication with Jacob was stellar, and he was able to schedule the job for Saturday morning. The material was dropped off on Friday, and Jacob's crew, headed by Juan, arrived at 0730 am, a half hour earlier than the 0800 am start Jacob had mentioned. The crew was efficient and highly knowledgeable and had the job done in approximately 5.5 hours! We could not be happier with our experience with Jacob, Juan and Verdigrass. Now we just have to save up enough money to do the backyard!

The price was fair and he could start the following day. I had six sprinklers replaced for my lawn and then extended the PVC piping to my new section of lawy and added three more sprinklers. Mr. Tran removed the old thin wall PVC which was about 22 years old and installed new thick walled schedule 40. I also had a water valve replaced which was controlled by a timer. The dug up sod was put back in place and the lawn was looking great in a few days. No problems with any leaks, the direction of the sprinkler spray is all correct, and after several months, everything still works perfectly.

You can purchase from them with or without install although their guarantee doesn't accommodate you (or very limited) without their install services. We legit went to 5-6 different turf spots for samples and this was one of the more expensive options, but it blew the competition outta the water. He gave some great advice, and, frankly, he is the main reason we went with Synlawn. Installation was quick and done efficiently. Then it all went south! Mario said that it was great for pets, citing drainage and durability. It is not good if you have a puppy, which he knew we had, as puppies love to chew on things and the turf pulls out quite easily. Too, shortly after installation, we thought we had a ripple in the turf possibly due to installation. I contacted Mario and he said he would come by and take a look. We never heard from him again. To be honest, it turned out to be nothing, but, nonetheless, he never reached out again. After a couple of months was saw some discoloration around the fountain. I contacted Billy Bright, and he said it was due to the water from the fountain. He said to try CLR cleaner, which didn't change anything, and then he said to try GooGone, which also didn't work. He said Synlawn was not going to do anything about it, since it was due to the fountain. My point is, since it seems to be a known issue, why wasn't this mentioned at the time of the sale by our salesperson, Mario, with 17 years experience! The fountain has been in place long before the turf sale took place. Seemingly it is always what the salesperson doesn't tell you that comes back to bite you. Needless to say, that in no way can I recommend Synlawn to anyone. I am giving them one star as there is no zero.

A few days later, he and his team came out to do the work: a bad valve in a tight junction box, a leaking irrigation main and a new lawn sprinkler for a section of lawn that wasn't getting enough water. All three repairs went smoothly and are now working well. They did a great job cleaning up afterwards too - hard to tell they were even here. Thanks guys!!

We hired them to install additional sprinklers in areas of our yard that weren't getting adequate…read morecoverage, and also to diagnose why certain areas were experiencing very low water pressure. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the service. The job felt rushed, and they were reluctant to add sprinklers in some of the areas where we specifically pointed out inadequate coverage. More importantly, they never really diagnosed or addressed the low-pressure issue, which was one of the main reasons we called them in the first place. Overall, we expected a more thorough assessment and a solution that addressed both the coverage and pressure issues especially for the price they charged.
