From start to finish, everyone was friendly. Attilio Maso was very informative and gave me all the information I needed to know about the process. I had a meeting half hour after he came and he was respectful about that where we talked a little and he took measurements and gave emailed me and left me information about the cost. I originally was very happy with One Lawn. We had it installed back in 2011 I believe. We were told that the material under the lawn was packed pretty firmly and we shouldn't have any issue. But moving forward, earlier this year we reached out due to there is now a huge slope in the lawn and very easy for my handicapped husband to fall in the hole that has been created. I was told that this is our problem and if we want them to fix it, it's going to cost just to come up $450 and and additional $65 per hour to fix there defect!! How can they believe that it's okay to charge a senior such outlandish prices. It really is a shame that they are not willing to work with us regarding this issue. I originally was so happy with their work and had sent a lot of business their way. But if this is how they treat their existing clients. I will no longer be their greatest fan. read more

We've had our new lawn for about 2 months now - and we absolutely love it! Everything from the quality of the installation to the service was wonderful with Onelawn. First off, the actual lawn looks fantastic. We looked at a lot of options and we are very happy with our selection. It's still the most realistic turf we've seen around. After reading reviews here I was a bit worried about seams, but I watched them install it and I seriously can't spot them at all. The work team spent a lot of care during the installation to make sure we were happy. Once my neighbors saw it, they started asking a bunch of questions and talking about how they were going to look into getting it. For the feel: We've got two dogs and they go nuts racing around on it, rolling on it, etc. They LOVE it. We enjoy just sitting out in the sun on it. We used to never spend much time in the backyard (check out the "before" photo!) and now we are out there at least a few times a week. Maybe most importantly, the people we worked with at Onelawn were top quality. Jon was great to talk to and provided lots of information when we were evaluating it. He walked us through the details and was never pushy. Then Kirk came for the final measurements before installation and was amazing. I had some last minute changes and he was more than accommodating. For the installation, the work teams were friendly, hard-working, and thorough. We had a slight snag on some of the timing and Kirk was there, late night on a weekend, making calls to ensure the job would get finished around our schedule. It was awesome. Their team really prides themselves on integrity and it shows. I would work with them again in a heartbeat. For those on the fence: the price isn't cheap - a bit more than some, a bit less than others - but it was ABSOLUTELY worth it. Everything from my initial meeting with the sales person, to scheduling, and installation were great. I docked a star because there were a couple of things I did not like when the team came out to install. I had heard about Onelawn from the NextDoor app and decided to message them. Damien called me within hours of messaging them. He was able to come out to my house the next day. Damien was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He spent a good hour telling me about their product and explaining the process of installation, etc and I was happy to learn as I knew very little. After meeting with two other vendors, I decided to go with Onelawn to work on the two areas in our backyard. Next, we worked with Laura for paperwork and scheduling etc. We booked for 4 weeks out, but an opening became available and they came out a week and half earlier; I was thrilled! The foreman, Dany, and his crew arrived on time around 8am and began to set up. First thing I did not like was the installation crew was a little noisy. I was working from home at the time and I heard them talking loudly and laughing. Not a huge deal, but it was little distracting since my office was right next to them. Second thing, I didn't notice until days after the installation, was that they had damaged part of my wooden beam where my patio is. I guess they ran into it while carrying in their tools. Would've been courteous if they had just let me know and apologized. Also, one of the guys had left his soda can in my garden after lunch. Lastly, I wasn't thrilled with the fact that they left a huge roll of the lawn at my house- this was for warranty purposes. They stated that different rolls of grass may vary, so that if they had to come do warranty work, they can use the same roll so that it doesn't vary too much from the work already installed. I'm not sure where to store it as it is quite large and the fact that I have to store it for years. One Lawn is a great company. Owners have years of managing businesses and train all of their staff from the office to installers in customer service. Communication was excellent, crew was on time and work performed was excellent. Office staff scheduled the install and confirmed days prior to install. Install crew was prompt, cleaned up after installation and suggested grading for the lawn. I originally wanted a flat lawn but Tony suggested a slight crown and some high and low spots. These guys have installed hundreds of lawns and you could trust in them to create a natural looking lawn. Grass quality. As a contractor myself, I see homes with artificial turf and some of the turf I see looks too fake and shiny they also have a tendency to 'lay down' when stepped or sat on. The turf OneLawn uses looks as close to grass I have seen. I had a sample of lesser quality grass and in comparison to OneLawns sample they had the clear winner. I even left them out for my friends and family to compare and decide. Everyone picked the OneLawn. Overall, I am 100% satisfied with my decision to go with OneLawn. Here we are in 1/2017 about 1.5 years post install. Unfortunately the storms and the surge of rainwater going into the turf took out the granite base underneath by washing it into different areas of the turf. So i have a canal of empty pocket going to a mound. I believe that was because that section was missing the wood frame that goes around the turf, allowing water to come straight into the base directly. Took a bit of email exchanges to get it under warranty, but in the end, I'm glad they took the customer first option instead of black and white warranty interpretation (Act of God exclusion). Especially when I spent almost $10k for my turf. They came the day after they accepted it as warranty work. What they found underneath was what i just said above. The 2 man crew was very nice and attentive. In a few hours they made it look spanking new again. They re-leveled and compacted the base. Also added in power brooming the turf to make it look new again. I have to say product held up great. When they pulled up the turf, no mold or anything underneath. No flooding of water underneath either. I can conclude 1.5 years this is a great product. 1 star off as it did take frustrations to get it under warranty. I suggest perhaps onelawn should initially just offer to come out, and look at the problem before denying it as Act of God or charging me $350 to come out for repairs. read more

One Lawn did an artificial grass installation for me in Sept. 2019. They did a good job - although I did have to call them back after they packed up to leave, when I went to open up my utility room door. They forgot to check to see if the door would open after they installed the artificial grass and I could only open it about 6-8". So I flagged them down as they were leaving and asked them to come back and do the fix, which they did promptly. The crew was great. I recently had to ask them back to pull back the turf so I could have some trenching/plumbing done. They easily pulled it back and then reattached it after the plumbing work was done - in very little time. I'm really happy with my artificial grass - it looks good year round and no maintenance. read more

We'd like to give an update on our One Lawn now that it is one year old. The lawn still looks beautiful and does not show any wear even from our dog running and fetching on it. Recently an adjustment made last winter caused a needed re-streach because of the temperature changes. We're happy to report that, as before, customer service was great. Danny and Luiz came at the schedule time and got right to work. They were polite and friendly, cleaned everything up and even used a power rotary broom to clean and "fluff" the lawn. This lawn was a big inveatment for us and we are so relieved that not only is the product superior to others we've seen, but the company truly stands behind its warranty. My first experience with OneLawn was 2010 -- I had a small area done (20'x20') at a rental property, to see how it would do. AMAZING stuff. Almost 4 years later, it looks as good as it did when it went in. It's easy to care for, the tenants dogs love it (as do the tenants), and it was well worth the investment. This week, we had our own lawn done -- a much bigger area. We are SO pleased with the results. First of all, each experience, from the initial estimate (which included a visit to measure -- so was completely accurate - price did not change) (Lance), to the site visit (Kirk) for more detailed info and measurements, to the installation itself (Juan and fabulous crew) was more than pleasant. Communications with the office (Jason) were top-notch, including phone calls and emails to confirm, reconfirm, explain, etc.!! Everyone was on time, polite, communicative, and I felt like I knew what was going on every step of the way. On the installation itself, the crew was on time every day (it took three days, JUST as they had predicted), pleasant, professional, and was wonderful on clean-up too. The foreman, and sometimes other members of the team, kept us apprised of everything going on, explaining details so we'd understand the process and making sure we were happy all the way through. The finished product is GORGEOUS. Looks amazing, and I hear that this stuff looks even better after it's had a chance to settle, and also fluff up a bit (from having been in a roll). Looked great to us right at the beginning. Our dog sniffed around, then ran (really, zoomed) around and around as if to say, "yipppppea!!" -- then flopped down, and eventually went to sleep on the stuff. Ahhhhhhh..... I would have OneLawn do another installation in a heartbeat. Thoroughly pleased!! And sooo happy not to be spending any more on water, and other stuff! Great investment! read more

Attilio came out and helped us select our synthetic turf. He was professional and extremely helpful, giving us locations where we could see installations of the product we had chosen. This is a must as selecting turf from a patch and seeing it installed are really different entities. Our lawn was finished today and looks absolutely beautiful. Hector and his crew were so thoughtful and accommodating. They did a gorgeous job of installing the lawn and were meticulous in their approach to everything from laying the turf to final clean-up. They were kind and friendly and were willing to do whatever was asked of them. Our Labrador loves the new turf in the backyard and our front lawn is picture perfect. WARNING BEWARE: Darryl Donovan the owner, filed a mechanics lien against me. I have consulted with an attorney specialized in construction law and his CSLB readout indicates that he claims to be exempt from having worker's compensation insurance. This means he is NOT allowed to have employees working for him. Under business and professions code 7031 he is not entitled to any payment, may not use the courts nor enforce the lien. Also, he asked me for 40% for deposit before he began working on my property. That is a misdemeanor!!!! Contractors cannot do this. And in the mechanics lien he altered the amount owed to him and changed the interest for non payment from 1.5% found in the contract to 8%. Totally in violation of the law and CSLB read more

We went with this turf and company because of the backing on the turf. It is not rubber but with a soft like fiber like the lining of a diaper. The rain or dog pee goes straight through and doesn't have to find a drain hole. read more

We had our lawn installed in May 2014. It took a while to get an appointment because the drought has made artificial lawns more popular, but when an unexpected opening popped up OneLawn penciled us in. The product is the best we saw and we looked at three other contractors. The team worked with us, including shaving down more of the area and reinstalling when the terrain was too steep for our little guys. We love the results. It is beautiful and so kid friendly we have increased the use of our backyard by 100%. It does get warm, but in Alameda not usually a big deal for us. Best landscaping decision ever! read more

We had our lawn installed in early June. It all looked good and we pleased with the work until we noticed, shortly after, that there were places on the lawn that indented, probably from gophers. This is one of the reasons were went with artificial turf, so that we would not have to deal with stepping in gopher holes anymore. Now, I am sure this problem is fixable and should not be a huge deal. The reason OneLawn is getting a 2 Star rating is that they have yet to come back and fix the problem. Actually, they haven't even been back to inspect the problem! We spent tens of thousands of dollars on our lawn. Paying that amount of money I expect great service. Even with good services I wouldn't complain, but their service has been so horrible that I would NEVER recommend them to a friend. We first called Onelawn about the holes in early July. 2 weeks later they still hadn't sent anyone over to even inspect the problem. So we sent them an email again explaining the problem and asking them to take care of the problem. 8 days later we finally get a response from Jason at OneLawn apologizing for the delay and asking for an inspection time, which the earliest they could do was 2 weeks later...THAT IS MORE THAN 5 WEEKS AFTER THE TIME THAT WE FIRST REPORTED THE ISSUE WITH THE INSTALLATION. We were gone on vacation, so unfortunately that time didn't work for us. The appointment was then scheduled for August 21st (yesterday)...guess what...NO ONE SHOWED UP FOR OUR APPOINTMENT!!!! You've got to be kidding me! They give us a 20 year warranty of the product, but no one follows through to come fix an issue in the first few months. I would hate to see their follow up a few years down the road. So, no one has even come out to look at the issue. I can imagine how long it will take someone to actually come FIX the problem after they come inspect it first. Eight weeks after reporting the holes we have nothing but the run around from OneLawn. I like the product itself. The material is nice and looks and feels great. The service is the killer. Artificial turf is not cheap-I expected a lot more from OneLawn. read more

We had turf installed in January and it's beautiful. Unfortunately, once they have received full payment they are done with you. My husband has sent several emails and left a couple voicemails and no response from the salesman. All we need is some reinforcement nails in one area of the lawn and we can't get them back to complete the job. The three gentleman who installed the lawn did a good job, except for that one area. We are disappointed in the poor customer service we have received and we spent a lot of money on the turf. I am praying we don't ever have to use the warranty because they haven't stood by there word as of yet. read more

We had a good experience with OneLawn. There were a few things that we really appreciated about them: First, when Damien (Sales/ Operations Manager) came out to visit our backyard in advance of installation, he not only brought the turf sample that we were interested in but he also brought a few other options for us to consider. Our turf choice was the most expensive, but despite this, he mentioned that his favorite was a less expensive option. We ended up going with our original choice, but we appreciated how he was not looking to sell us the most expensive option. Second, the installation team, lead by Hector did a great job. We had scheduled three days for installing the turf. They completed the job on time, working from 8 am to 7 pm on one night because they were concerned rain may delay their progress. If there were any concerns during installation, Hector made sure to inform me of the issue and provide his opinion on solution. He also consulted me before the turf was laid down to ensure I was in agreement on turf direction. Third, the team was family friendly. I have two young children and they were always aware of them if they were outside. At the completion of the job, as my children were crazily running around, they played ball with them. Fourth, after the job was complete - which looked great! - they walked through maintenance and specific parts of the one year warranty. Lastly, when final payment was due, Laura (Front Desk/ Operations Manager) was flexible in holding off payment until our current credit card payment had gone through. I used Onelawn to install turf at my home. I had a fairly large job which took about a week. I did have one issue with a seam showing. Over a course of about 5 weeks they tried different solutions. They finally got it right. They never stopped trying till it was 100% correct. They were very good at picking up the telephone and coming out at specific times to do the repair. I am a very maticulous person who literally wtched every step. The installers were terrific to have around. I interviewed at least 6 different companies and Lance really impressed me. He did everything he said he was going to do. Never once felt I overpaid. I really got a fantastic job. The installed new grass in a flat space in my yard and they were FANTASTIC from start to finish. They gave me a nice price (still expensive but fair) and they did all the details so well and did extras to make sure it looked perfect. I was so impressed with their service and their attention to detail. Plus, the lawn looks real and looks great. We had an aritifical lawn putting green in our backyard when we purchased the house. The sand infill was so hot that when we let our toddlers out, they cried because their feet would burn. Furthermore, we had sand tracked all through the house which got to be a pain to clean up. We decided to go with Onelawn because of their no infill technology. We were also pleased with the realistic look of the sample lawns that they showed us. We decided to go with Spring Green extreme and couldn't be happier. Our lawn looks amazing. We don't see any seems and the feel of the lawn is actually softer on the foot than the sample that was shown to us. We also have to give kudos to the service provided. We had multiple "fixtures" in our backyard including an irrigation system, in ground lighting, and brick outlines which needed capping/removal prior to installation. They did a fabulous job at removing these. They showed up on time each day and completed the job as planned. What was also greatly appreciated was that we had some concrete blobs in the lower part of our yard which needed removal and we didn't want the gardner contractor ruining our new lawn so Onelawn was able to reschedule our installation for a later date so that our lawn wouldn't be ruined. read more
