I bought a used 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5s from this dealership on October 19th, 2014. The "True Price" as they listed on the website was acceptable. I came to the store having a test drive of the vehicle. Overall the vehicle has a fair condition. Osvaldo was the sales person for me. I was able to negotiate down a few hundred dollars on the handling fees, but I still got defeated on the sale of the Karr Alarm for over 500 dollars. Well, I think that a few hundred dollars are okay for me since these sales people have to make a living as well. Now, the actual painful story begins. On the first day, I was driving the vehicle out of my parking garage, and the tire pressure light suddenly came out and stayed on for the entire way. I thought it was just a low pressure warning, so I checked the tire pressure and any potential leaking hazards on the tires. No problem was found. For the sake of safety, I went to a local tire shop to double check if everything was alright. Mechanics assured that all four tires are in good working condition. I had a conclusion of the Nissan TPMS problem. On the second day, I could not open the trunk using the remote key fob. I tried two other switches inside the car. They did not work either. I was only able to open the trunk through the backseat by stretching the emergency trunk release level. I called Osvaldo for those issues. Osvaldo had me come in to check those problems. I went 20 miles from my home to the dealership on Saturday, November 1st, 2014. I thought it would be an easy fix because those issues are not significant. However, Michelle Jacobo, the customer service representative, told me I had to leave the car there for two days with no guarantee of resolving the problems by Monday. The reason I was provided was that this Honda dealership do not have the standard equipment to scan and reprogram the sensors on my Nissan Altima tires. My Nissan Altima has to be sent to a Nissan dealership. Oh my god. They did not even inspect the car in the first place and gave me such an unacceptable answer. I was very disappointed and irritated. I asked them at least to perform an audit on the tires for the concern of safety. They checked everything, and it was confirmed that my car has the TPMS problem. Michelle did not even set up an appointment for me. Wow, that was shocking. You really need some training for this job. Last but not least, they have not transferred the car title and finalized the registration. Now I understand why their ratings on Yelp are so low. Even though this is a long commentary, you got the point. I will not recommend anyone to come here buying a car or having any services. The personnel there are not responsive and proactive at all. If you want to have long term profits for the business, the customer relationship is the key. I do not even need to draw economic models to explain this. It is just a common sense. read more

My family and I had a great experience here at carson Honda! Tim the manager and Levi were great help from beginning to end with positive attitude. We had alot of questions and also needed alot more time to think about what we wanted. They were really patient and were not being pushy at all. We were able to make a good deal and most of all my dad came home happy with a new car and exact color he liked! Finance person was also very nice!! Appreciate everyone here at Carson Honda. Update: Brought the car in for another alignment. My car came back with a small scratch on the driver's side door and a chip on the driver's side door. The floor mat has an oil stain on it. I'm not going to make a complaint because it's going to get denied. So my satisfaction comes from warning other consumers. BEWARE the customer service is very good at the door....but the people who work on your car don't take proper care of the vehicle you bring in. One star is my final decision with this dealership and I will not be coming back here. read more

Signed a lease at the dealership yesterday for a new Accord Coupe. Negotiated the price online with Ramon before going in, and it was as quick and painless as it could have been. I walked in to the dealership, greeted Ramon, and off we went. No haggling at all. I was given the agreed-upon price, they detailed the car on-site, and I was off to enjoy the rest of my Sunday afternoon. After dealing with the other shady dealers in the Los Angeles area, Carson Honda was a breath of fresh air. Five stars all around! read more

I went to Honda Carson around 2 years ago. I paid around $230 for a "Transmission Cleaning Flushing" The sales man told me that they will connect my transmission to a machine that was going to clean my transmission, which is exactly what I wanted. When they took my car, I went to see the process (they have a viewing area). I saw the mechanic doing the regular inspection and then lifting my car. when the mechanic was moving the machine towards my car the same sales man came running and told the mechanic something. The mechanic then put the machine BACK where he got it from. And instead of using the machine it proceed to do the flush by just draining my transmission and putting new oil. That was it. Honda Carson stole $230 from my by not performing the procedure they described to me. I wanted so badly to say something, but I had to leave immediately for Oregon. NEVER NEVER! go to this dealer. read more

I had made arrangements with Carson Honda to pick up a used 370Z in a few days time because I was going to be traveling from the Bay Area (roughly 400 miles) and needed time off work. A day before our arranged appointment for me to travel there and purchase the vehicle, they sold the 370Z to someone who walked in that day expressing interest without so much as informing me of the situation until I had contacted them right before making the drive to Carson. I offered to put a downpayment on the vehicle the first day we spoke but they declined my offer. I even told them I had a high four digit figure to give them in cash before financing. I am very disappointed to inform you that this dealership does not care about their clientele and is only out to take the quickest most valuable offers from anyone who walks through their doors. Their act in this situation was immoral and I would RECOMMEND everyone to take their business elsewhere to a dealership that respects and honors arrangements from prospective buyers serious about purchasing a vehicle. read more

Octavio went from my new best friend assuring me I made a great purchase to telling me if the car gets junked today I'm S.O.L. in just a matter of 6 months (with a charming condescending smile the whole time). I'm sure that's pretty typical but then so is a shitty review for shitty treatment. Now I have to replace transmission, battery, AC, and repair a bunch of stuff that came out in the inspection. However, the service people are amazing, though I'm sure they're on the receiving end of a lot of blame for things out of their hands. I understand the as is policy but they we very misleading on how the car functioned as is and even more vague on what they check on before saying the car is good to sell you. Not to mention how they treat customers with concerns, extremely apathetic with a giant patronizing smile as they tell you you got screwed. Unless you're desperately looking for a used car with parts that lasts a few months and have a few grand to wager on them I'd say shop elsewhere. read more

Pls ask for Brianna, Mike Ramirez, Sebastian, & Osvaldo. Great people, great team! Can't thank them enough how they helped me getting me a car. It was long process but I didn't care the long hours and waiting it took me and them to help me get the car I want. I spent all of last weekend shopping around for a Honda Civic. I already knew what I wanted and I knew how much I wanted to spend. I visited several places the day before. It seemed that everywhere I went they either tried to get me into a car I didn't like or were bring very dishonest about their pricing. I called Carson Honda and spoke with Caesar and made an appointment to see the car last Sunday. Even over the phone he was very honest about their inventory. He didn't give me the run-around just to get me into their dealership. From the minute my parents and I arrived, we felt very comfortable. Caesar quickly found the car I wanted and we took it for a test drive. When we sat down I ended up deciding on a newer model because Caesar and his manager were very upfront about their offers. He didn't need to go back and forth and give the impression that they were "bending over backward" to do us the favor of getting a good price. Caesar made the whole process quick and easy. If you visit Carson Honda, make sure to ask for Caesar and you'll have a good experience and walk out happy. read more

Great dealership. Managers great, my sales rep great and my new car is great! Will always come back to do more business!

I was delighted with the helpful and professional attitude displayed by the manager (Lorenzo) today when I came in asking about a tire key that had been omitted from my original Honda CRV purchase last fall. I came in after experiencing a flat tire (and incredible anxiety) this morning when the triple AAA truck could not change the tire - I did not have a tire lock key. When I explained the ordeal to the manager, he agreed to provide a new key as well as the required outer area. I really appreciate the extra effort he took to satisfy me today. Additionally he rechecked all of my tires for leaks since the air pressure light was occasionally coming on. This service was all provided at no cost. Your service stands out among your competitors! What a lousy experience. Went to buy a MY2018 used car. The salesperson himself was nice, patient, and knowledgable. Test drove the car and liked it a lot. But we noticed signs of rear-end damage and that the rear bumper cover had been replaced, which was not on the Carfax report, or mentioned in the dealer's ad, or written anywhere on their "60-point" inspection report. Based on this we thought a price reduction was appropriate but the salesperson said they don't "haggle" and made us wait for the used-car sales manager. The manager said that the price already accounted for that condition and they would not lower it one penny. He did this while standing, with his arms crossed, as if he was a bouncer kicking us out. Basically, either they knew there was prior damage and intentionally failed to disclose it in the advertising, or did not know about it and the used-car sales manager lied about the price having already been reduced for that reason. Either way, for a car-buying experience I generally look for courtesy, honesty, and a good deal, and Carson Honda went 0-for-3. Will not return. read more

Honestly. When is buying a car ever a fun experience. Sure, it's a blast finding the car you like. Test driving, and looking under the hood and in the trunk. But the lasting impression is usually the last impression you get from any dealership (which is always the paperwork part of the deal). I had my own financing in order, so you'd think it'd cut down on the process. I don't think anybody buying a car (even in cash) could get out of a dealership in less than 4 hours. The bright spot was the salesperson we worked with. Mike Ramirez. He wasn't pushy (which is always a breath of fresh air when dealing with car salesmen). When the deal concluded he still assisted with getting some important items that I'd left in my trade in held for me so I didn't lose out on them. Quality guy. read more

I was very disappointed with the way our visit went yesterday. We found the car we wanted online at a good price. It was a 2013 CRV, pre-certified with a warranty up to 100k miles. The price was lower than most that we had seen and there were some trade offs from other cars that cost more, but had less miles and more features. The pictures on the site showed what a steal you're getting at just under 18k, but when we saw the car, there were lots more cosmetic details that the pictures online did not show at all. My husband and I thought that because the car had been on the lot for a month and there were a lot of cosmetic things going on, we were sure they would be willing to negotiate to a lower price, closer to 17000, but we were willing to take the lowest blue book value which was 150 dollars below the asking price. When it came to price negotiation, our sales rep, Sean, was up front with us on how they give you the lowest price possible to avoid haggling (meaning, they're not lowering the price, cheapskate). He went to his manager to try to see if we could come down on the price. The manager, whose name I forget, was straight out rude and condescending and told us how he wouldn't lower the price for an employees neighbor who also wanted it, what made us think they'd lower it for us. Then, the manager counter offered with 17000, but they'd take away the warranty. Seriously, who does that? sure, I'll forfeit protection on my car for 800-900 bucks that's worth at least double that... did he think we were born yesterday? After it became clear that the manager wouldn't budge on price and then he went off the show two other guys the car we were just looking at and after Sean didn't even bother to show us anything else or give any indication that he cared to do so, we left empty handed and very disappointed at the lack of professionalism shown by the manager, whose name escapes me. They had few shoppers there compared to Norm Reeves, where our sales person was nice and showed us several cars. I'm guessing they get their commission from rejecting offers and being rude than selling to satisfied customers. Still in the market for a car, but definitely won't be coming back here. read more

Be careful when doing business with Carson Honda. The buying experience was pleasant enough since the salesmen pride themselves on being nice. I also paid a fair price for a used 2017 Honda Civic. The nightmare began when I was told I would be receiving my updated registration with stickers (they gave me a 3 month temporary license plate) along with the title within a week from the DMV. As it got closer to the 3 month mark and I had received nothing from the DMV, I got in touch with the salesman who kept reassuring me not to worry. One week before my temporary license plate expired I asked the salesman what to do if I did not receive the registration stickers because I did not want a reason to be pulled over and get a ticket. He told me, "When they look up the vin it will show the change or in process." When I asked if I could obtain another temporary license plate he deferred and told me to call the Carson Honda DMV representative. I called multiple times and left messages with no call back. My request to speak to the manager was declined... the salesman merely told me, "Everything will be fine." I decided to call the real DMV and was able to speak to someone after an hour on hold (they at least got back to me faster than Carson Honda). They advised me if my temporary license plate is expired then I would have reason to be pulled over. I would also be liable for any fines. I was told if I had not received my registration stickers in time then it is the dealership's duty to resolve the issue, otherwise I could come to the DMV office. I gave all this information to the Carson Honda salesman who told me he would, "go figure this out right now." Of course I never got a response. I walked in to the DMV on a Saturday morning the day after my temporary plate expired and spent the entire morning there. It turns out that Carson Honda had made multiple mistakes when putting in my information into the DMV website, even with the information being correct on my paperwork. I still plan to buy Hondas in the future, just not from Carson Honda. Once you drive your car off the lot they are extremely unhelpful and give you incorrect information. They also make a lot of paperwork errors. read more

My family just bought our third car here yesterday. Once again theyre very helpful and the true price is a good guide to a car. Lorenzo is always a big help and yesterday with sam and gary. Alot of honda Cars and options all kinds of colors. I helped my co-worker/friend test drive and pick out a brand new 2011 Honda Civic and had a mixed opinion of Carson Honda. First, the good - Our designated salesman, Ramon, seemed rather tired, but pretty honest and up front. He offered us some pretty good end-year deals for the sale, and was very forthcoming about drawbacks as well as good points about the car. No complaints there. Unfortunately, here's the bad: The wait. After purchasing, we had to sit and wait for them to process the paperwork (Mind you, my friend had stellar credit), which literally took more than an hour. Although I had fun sampling their free hot chocolate and pastries in the interim, it was certainly the longest wait I've ever had to endure in a car dealership. Afterward, we were ushered to a nondescript back room for them to 'finalize' things, only to have another salesman corner us into getting an expensive $500 Karr alarm system. Although he wasn't too pushy, he kept insisting it was a good deal and kept telling us how the car would inevitably be lost if the system was absent. Despite all my reasons and rationale to my friend about the pros and cons, he kept arguing that there were literally no cons whatsoever to the system. While she eventually ended up getting it for peace of mind, I still felt rather ambiguous about the whole encounter. I guess your experience here will be a mixed bag depending on who you get to help you. read more

Just bought a new Honda Fit Sport Auto for a steal - I walked away very happy with the price I got and the way I was treated at Carson Honda. I mainly communicated through email and Mike Kiernan from Internet Sales. I asked if he would be able to price match a quote I received from a dealer who was around 2 hours away from me (I was hesitant to drive out for 2 hours and get there - then get the bait and switch). He price matched the quote and was able to offer me a little lower as well! Going through Finance was also lighting fast - in and out in less than 15 minutes. (The wait to get to sign the documents took a while but there were several people in front of me) I wasn't pressured to purchase any extras and there was nothing on the car that I didn't want - things like paint protection, mud flaps, bumper guards, wheel locks etc. I am overall very satisfied with the purchase and would head over to Carson Honda if I had to buy another new car. read more

Worst service ever. Service agents don't even come and look at your car unless you are friends with them. You will get skipped and will not be seen for along time. Had an occurrence where I was front in line and the person behind me I believe are cool with the people working and was assisted first. This is not the 1st time it happen and decided to give them another chance, but now no more. On top of that they bribe you with free oil change in exchange for a high rating on your next visit.
