    Contract never sent not truthful

I strongly encourage anyone considering doing business with Subaru Pacific to proceed with extreme caution, especially when dealing with Wendy Diep. My experience with this dealership was one of the most frustrating and disappointing vehicle purchases I have ever had. At signing, I was told by Wendy that $1,000 would be reflected in my account. After leaving the dealership, I discovered the contract I was promised by email was nowhere to be found. When I finally obtained a copy, the $1,000 that had been discussed was missing from the agreement. I immediately attempted to resolve the issue with the General Manager, Sales Manager, and another Finance Manager. Rather than address the problem, I was repeatedly told to come back another day. When I returned and asked Wendy to correct the issue, she appeared upset that she had to contact the leasing company to cancel and revise the contract because the $1,000 was not included. The situation became even more concerning when I requested cancellation of warranties that had been added to my deal. Wendy initially told me that canceling them was not possible and claimed she would have to increase the vehicle price because dealerships "cannot discount cars." Later, after I continued pressing the issue and providing documentation, those same warranties were suddenly canceled. I have emails and evidence showing the complete contradiction between "it cannot be done" and "your warranties have been canceled." The lack of transparency and inconsistent information continued throughout the cancellation process. I repeatedly requested updates and was first told refunds could take up to 60 days. Later, I was told the process could take up to 90 days. Every interaction felt like a moving target with different answers depending on who I spoke with. The poor customer experience extended beyond the financing issues. My vehicle was not charged when I took delivery. I was told by Chris Axume to install my own license plates because he does not do it. I also watched other customers receive first-time Subaru buyer merchandise coupons and vehicle orientation sessions explaining features and benefits of their new vehicles. I received none of that. When I raised concerns, the response was essentially to come back for a car wash. I escalated my concerns to dealership management, including Manny Alba, as well as supervisors at LAcarGUY, and have yet to receive a meaningful response. Based on my experience, this dealership appears far more interested in closing deals than providing honest customer service after the paperwork is signed. If you decide to purchase a vehicle here, review every document carefully, verify every promise in writing, and do not accept verbal assurances. Ask questions, keep copies of everything, and double-check any products or warranties added to your contract. I have documentation supporting my concerns and wanted to share my experience so other customers can make an informed decision before doing business with this dealership Please see below proof for evidence and I too would consider to relook at your contract if you had made a deal with dealership, especially with Wendy Diep. I reiterate, I have communicated my concerns to all MANAGEMENT and there has been no actions taken. Ultimately, this does reflect badly on the owner of this dealer for letting this happen under their own nose and would assume they are in this together. 1. Missing $1000 2. Proof of the Revised Contract after being caught not including the $1000 3. Fake promotional tags when the dealership changes their mind in finance. 4. Proof she does not take accountability 5. Very dismissive and no communication etiquette for paying customers after closing a deal. 6. No communication from upper management despite my contacts

I am.so grateful for Subaru Pacific!! Anthony in sales, Sammy in financing and Brandon in Service were amazing throughout my car buying process! My car was stolen and totaled a few days before Thanksgiving and I was devastated, I work for a nonprofit and needed a vehicle to continue working. Sammy went above and beyond to get me into a suitable affordable vehicle for my needs. Once the car was purchased Brandon and the service department assisted in making sure it was in pristine condition! From the moment I called and spoke with Anthony until the day I drove off the lot I was met with friendly, HONEST, excellent service! Thanks Subaru Pacific, you have a loyal customer for life

the zip tied i cut off that was holding the back end of the splash shield.

I was going there for years and the last couple services have been ridiculous and dishonest. There "diagnostic" is lack luster, they don't investigate, they just pick the most expensive thing to do and say thats the problem. I no lonfer recommend my fellow subaru owners to take it here. I had my headgasket replaced and then when I kept smelling burning oil i took it back and they said it was the headgasket again and I told them you guys replaced this last year, mind you my car was sitting there for over a month, and of course they say well you just missed the warranty parts deadline by a week or two. So I asked them to look again and see if its coming from the OCV plug and they just went with, yeah its that plug like you said. I got it back and drove it but again still had burning oil. So I decided to go under to investigate and found they broke the OCV plug and zip tied it and then they broke my splash shield screw head off and the screw was stuck in there so they zipped tied the splash shield. I spent well over $12k there to keep my car running properly since they don't make the STI anymore. Makes me wonder if they did any work at all if I am catching this dishonest lackluster of a repair.

    Thumbs down

Pacific Subaru did not respond in good faith what happened to me I purchased a brand new wilderness Crosstrek on my 65th birthday 2025 only to find out while my car was being detailed That my passenger door had been previously damaged while at pacific Subaru, it's on there records of the damage previous to selling me the car and not revealing it to me. I was not happy filed a complaint and claim DMV investigation unit and now I'm telling you my story so it won't happen to you I had a very time consuming and frustrating time with general manager! I hope the owner of the dealership will show some respect and character to make things right 0 Stars FOUR times a Subaru owner very disappointed and sad Subaru doesn't back their cars. This really sucks I did nothing wrong Subaru sold me a damaged poorly fixed car. WOW!!

This gentleman is amazing! The Subaru dealer is awesome!

I like to give recognition where recognition is do! I've owned a number of cars... Normally I do not get keys from the dealer! Dealer keys are very expensive! My wife has a Subaru! There was a guy who has worked for me for years programming keys! With our Subaru he totally messed it up! Not only was a red light with a key flashing somehow this guy drained our battery so we'd have to jump start the car with a battery box everyday! Normally the mechanics that I have are better than factory mechanics! No one could solve the issue these guys charged me $250 and it was the best experience ever! They fixed my wife's Subaru outback! I was seriously considering selling it! I thought it was going to cost a lot.... Only $250! I highly recommend them if you have a Subaru!

I was looking for a certain vehicle a Lincoln Nautilus. I went to a Lexus dealer in Thousand Oaks, I called them to make sure the vehicle was there and they said yes. We have the car here. I told them that I'm coming from a distance, please call me if anything changes..... I drive my happy self out there and yep, no Nautilus. They just sold it. So I call Subaru Pacific and Evan answered. I told him what I just experienced and he said, I will put the car aside right now and get it ready for you to look at. I drive all the way back and I meet Sales Person Evan, he not only set the vehicle aside, but he took the time to learn as much as possible about the vehicle. While he was going over everything, I said, I will take it. The whole team at Subaru Pacific were just amazing. The sales desk, finance and everybody. Thank you, Wendi Diep! If you're in the market for a new or used car, check out Subaru Pacific! Thank you again Evan!

Should I pay $465 for a hitch and $700 for installation at Subaru Pacific or got to Uhaul for $390 total?

I called Elegant Auto Sales and scheduled a next day appointment with Mario for the car I was interested in. When I arrived, I was quickly greeted by Mario and another employee there. After visually inspecting the car, I went on a test drive with Mario. I appreciated the fact that I wasn't rushed during the test drive, unlike other dealerships I've been to in the past. It gave me the confidence that they weren't trying to hide any issues with the car. Satisfied with the test drive, I decided to purchase the car that same day. When I mentioned I would be paying in cash, Mario offered to drive me to the bank so I can purchase a cashier's check. I've visited numerous dealerships before with the intention of paying in cash, but none of them have ever extended such an offer. Since I had taken an Uber to the dealership, I took Mario up on his offer. I've owned the car for six months now and it's running great with zero problems. I've noticed that most of the negative reviews are from people who chose to finance their car and are angry with the high interest rates. If you're paying cash, like I did, you won't have to worry about that. My only complaint is that it took two months to get my car registration in the mail. I don't know whether this was the dealership's fault or the DMV's fault, but it made things really inconvenient for me since I was unable to insure the car without the registration. TL;DR: If you're paying cash, this is a good place to buy a car. I'll definitely be recommending this car dealership to people I know.

They (Mario and some other guy) acted like they didn't even want to give a test drive of ANY car. Because I'd just been in an accident, I needed to make sure the suspension actually felt like a luxury car. LOOK--I've been buying cars for a looooooooong time, especially sports and LUXURY cars. This was hands-down the ABSOLUTE WORST car-buying experience I've ever had. I was looking at three cars I was ready to buy TODAY, and what these idiots didn't realize is I needed to leave with a car today. While I was waitin to testdrive the Model S, they kept asking me, "How are you going to pay for it?"--as if I'm broke--before even letting me drive the cars, AND as if I OWE them an answer... DUDE, we're not even near that part of the process yet! THIS is the WEIRDEST SHI* I've ever experienced in my entire f*ing life. At Lexus they wine and dine you, free cappuccinos, snacks pastries popcorn.. give as much time is necessary getting you comfortable in the dealership. This is why Ive spend $70,000, $45,000 on a car there. These idiots didn't get the memo!! So OF COURSE I left when they made it feel uncomfortable. I go to another car dealership which didn't have anything I was interested in. but I met this young Asian guy from Korea who was also car shopping. he was looking for a convertible Mustang or convertible bmw. elegant cars had a convertible BMW in his price range! they LITERALLY had a DOUBLE SALE OPPORTUNITY!! I came back specifically to test drive the Tesla Model S, butNOW i brought this new friend who was ready to buy rt away... and again they're asking how I'm going to buy it without first making sure I even like the car. then even though the BMW convertible is listed online for sale they told the Korean boy that the BMW wasn't working at all..! I was like wtf!? I asked about the car earlier they never told me that! #HELLASHADY That's not how you sell ANY f*ing thing. Danny brought out a paper with the Model S's price, title and taxes total of almost 30k and I'm wondering why! like I already know what the price is, the price is no problem for me, and I STILL hadn't test drove the car yet!!! so it was just the strangest interaction that just was hella awkward which challenges explanation. Their hella f*ed attitude lost an EASY $30K LAY-DOWN. All they had to do was let me test-drive the two cars I was interested in. I would have paid and left! But in this scenario I simply just left LOL #DUMB #EXTRADUMB I honestly started questioning whether they sell cars AT ALL.

When I dropped off my car, the paint on the hood was in good condition with no clear coat damage or chipping. After picking up my vehicle, I immediately noticed multiple areas of chipped paint -- some down to primer and even bare metal -- along with visible clear coat damage and stripped coating on the hood. I brought this to the attention of the service manager, but instead of properly addressing the concern, I was told the damage was caused by "rocks" and that the clear coat stripping was due to "water penetration." These explanations do not make sense given that the vehicle was in the dealership's possession during the service and did not have these issues beforehand. I The vehicle was also washed by the dealership during service. Given that the paint damage and stripped coating appeared immediately after pickup, it is reasonable to conclude the damage may have occurred during that process, especially considering the severity of the clear coat removal." This appears to be a clear case of lot damage that occurred while the vehicle was under the dealership's care. The lack of accountability and dismissal of the issue by management is extremely concerning. I am not questioning warranty coverage -- I am pointing out that my vehicle was returned to me in worse condition than when I left it, which should fall under dealership responsibility. Keep in mind this is a 2024 Mustang - damage to the paint at that severity and not taking accountability is not professional. I am hoping this can still be resolved properly, but based on my current experience, I would advise others to thoroughly inspect their vehicles before and after service.

I did have to wait around a bit more than I would have liked, but he checked in as I waited, so the finance team was probably just busy. The financial team was a little slow in getting through the paperwork than I was used to, but there is a lot to check and process. Overall this first part wasn't bad, but I did spend a lot longer at the dealership than I would have liked. After buying out the lease, the one finance guy I worked with called a few times late evening to get some paperwork he still needed. Not sure why he had to call at 7 or 8pm, but that's fine. When I went to pick the car up a couple days later, the service team hadn't performed the annual servicing since the finance team didn't inform them to do it. So had to come back a few days later to pick up the car. The real problems came a week after getting the car. I was in an accident and the car was totaled. It sucked, and the finance guy at VW made it worse. I needed to work with VW to close out the loan they set up with the bank, cancel out the service contracts, and possibly look for a new car with them. I would call the finance guy, and he wouldn't return my calls. He had texted me, so I texted him, and he just would respond to call him the next day. He made me feel like I was inconveniencing him, even after he would call at night to get paperwork that he needed from me prior to the accident. After weeks of the finance guy not responding and not caring at all, I gave up on him. I only called the dealership when I knew it was his day off so I would get another finance team member to talk to. The second guy was much more caring and helpful. I scheduled a time, once again on the day the first finance guy wasn't working, to go to the dealership and sign all the contract cancellations. It took a few weeks longer for the paperwork to get processed, but it finally was all resolved. After the terrible customer service upon getting in an accident, I definitely did not return to Pacific VW for my new car. I didn't even get a VW I was so turned off by how badly I was ignored and treated. He got the car sale, got his money, and didn't care after that. If I had been treated with a bit of service and care, I could have turned around and got another car from them within a few weeks. I would have thought a repeat customer that quickly would be seen as an opportunity. If not for the second finance guy finally being helpful and kind, this would have been 1 star.
