I drove all the way to Torrance based on information I was given BEFORE arriving, and my experience was extremely disappointing and misleading. Before making the trip, I had multiple conversations regarding the vehicle and financing. I was led to believe that I was approved with $0 down and was even given information about what my monthly payment would be. I specifically communicated with them beforehand because I did not want to waste my time driving this far if the terms weren't going to work for me. When I arrived, however, the situation was completely different. I was told I would need approximately $3,500 down. What made this even more frustrating was finding out that my credit had not even been run when I had previously been given the impression that I had been approved. When I questioned the difference between what I was told before arriving and what I was being told in person, the explanation was essentially that the people I had been speaking with were part of a "call center." That was shocking to me because, as a customer, I had no reason to believe I wasn't speaking with representatives giving me accurate information on behalf of this dealership. Afterward, I started reading other reviews more closely and found another customer describing an eerily similar experience involving the call center giving information over the phone that did not match what they encountered after arriving. Had I seen that review beforehand, I would not have made the trip. I understand that financing terms can change after an actual credit application is submitted and reviewed by a lender. What I do NOT appreciate is being given the impression that I was already approved for certain terms, making a long trip based on those representations, and then finding out after arriving that the situation was completely different. Thankfully, I did not allow the time and effort I spent getting there to pressure me into accepting a deal I wasn't comfortable with. I walked away. My advice to anyone considering purchasing a vehicle here: get everything in writing before making the trip. Ask whether your credit has actually been submitted, whether you have an actual lender approval versus a preliminary quote, exactly how much money will be required at signing, and request an itemized breakdown of all costs and fees. I was prepared to purchase a vehicle. I simply expected the information I received before arriving to match what I was presented with once I got there. There is an obvious alarming rate of negative reviews and decades worth of consistent illegal activity here being reported. This place has a WELL deserved infamous reputation for a real reason. This place must be paying off the authorities or is a front for some other shady crooked dealings somehow. There's about 3 different phone numbers you find for this place. All active. Strange! The two slumped over men on site, sitting outside collecting dust midday...claimed that every person on the phone you speak to is an off site 3rd party service, like a call center. AVOID. The call center says they are there on site and will even give you their name so you can ask for them when you arrive. I spoke to a "Jordan" on the phone. The two men there sitting outside smoking and lounging about directed me in. I followed one of them into their barebones office. The want all my info BEFORE seeing anything or being shown anything. WEIRD. I only gave vague general answers. They never heard of him. They threw their phone operating service under the bus and said "yeah they always say that, I wish they wouldn't". LIAR. They have an ILLEGAL SCAM forced add on fee for GPS tracking. Which goes against the law! CRIMINALS. Many reviews mention this. They will look at you and inflate that price. They told me regardless of the car I chose it would be an additional $3,000 non-negotiable for this unnecessary strange pre-programmed system junk. EVEN if you are NOT financing. If you pay cash up front out the door it makes NO DIFFERENCE. They claimed they did not have either of the cars I saw online and confirmed with on the phone with "Jordan". BAIT AND SWITCH. He also said all the negative reviews online were due to the nature of the clientele in the "area" that want flashy cars but can't make the payments. He said they would finance anyone and everyone and even someone they repoed previously, that's why GPS tracking fee was required for financed cars. But that everything, including that add on fee is negotiable. NONSENSE. EMPTY PROMISES. They are TAKING ADVANTAGE of DESPERATE people! Claiming people get repoed and blame the dealership. Meanwhile...the place is a GHOST TOWN. Empty. DESERTED on Sunday afternoon and NO CUSTOMERS. We were clear in wanting to pay up front only after inspecting and testing the car. No intentions to finance. THEY DON'T CARE. They're not trying to sell cars. Something else is going on! The salesman had poor personal hygiene and was not well dressed. There was a very young man who said nothing slumped over hidden behind another desk station in street clothes that said nothing to us while doom scrolling on his phone. The place is FILTHY, grime and debris all over the floors! Nobody cares enough to pick up a broom or a mop. It looks like a tragic unloved waiting lobby for a detention center with metal benches bolted into the floor. The pictures on their website is a fantasy ILLUSION, no such facility exists. They astonishingly have multiple lots of cars that will sit there forever rusting and rotting. On seperate blocks believe it or not. YET if you sign up for alerts or to contact the dealership you get an automated text boasting that they sell 50 cars per day. "Jordan" on the phone told me 30 cars per day. HILARIOUS delusions! They got junkers everywhere. Scratched and scuffed and whole front fenders missing, just walking on the sidewalk a block down and they are lined up for all to see! Dented crumpled up license plates too! TRASH condition. They claim a free 30 day warranty and extended warranty for all repairs to come into their on site garage. SCAMMERS FULL OF FRAUD AND LIES. I was about to purchase a $30K vehicle I was pre approved for and they just lost our business and I experienced the WORST customer service and environment I couldn't even imagine was possible. Do not waste your time or money with this place. I drove two hours for a 7:00 PM appointment that I explicitly confirmed with three different people, including Monte and David. When I arrived, the experience was a complete disaster. The employee who greeted me was visibly high, had absolutely no idea I had an appointment, and just pointed toward the car and told me to go look at it myself. There was also definitely a drug delivery happening right upon our arrival that we witnessed. After looking at the vehicle, another worker came out and flat-out told me they didn't even have the keys. He actually said, "We lose keys sometimes," with zero accountability. The entire office was disgusting, completely unprofessional, and reeked heavily of weed. When I explained that I had confirmed with Monte and David knowing I was driving two hours, nobody cared. They just dismissed me and said, "I'll call you when we get the key." When I called back to speak with David directly to complain, the Robert was incredibly rude and just put me on indefinite hold and then it hung up. I then called back and spoke to James who claims he was at the Hawthorne location, and he took zero accountability. He even admitted he had confirmed my appointment just three hours prior and actually laughed about the fact that the key was lost. I told him it wasn't funny, and when I asked to speak to David, James told me he had left for the day. Why would he leave when he knew I had an appointment? James just stated he confirmed the appointment with me. They don't verify anything, they have zero respect for people's time, and the staff is completely out of it and high. Avoid this place at all costs! Miss King is continuing to call me about the Tesla they "lost the keys for" for another appointment. I made the entire trip, only to be told when I arrived that the vehicle was not even there. What makes this even more unacceptable is that they had already had me complete a credit application and ran my credit for a vehicle they knew--or should have known--was not available. After wasting my time and putting a credit inquiry on my report, they tried to switch me to a completely different vehicle. This is extremely misleading and completely unprofessional. Like all the other negative reviews, mine is basically the same. I was looking to purchase a BMW 535I, I had spent hours on the phone, with a so called financial department guy named Daniel. Over the course of a week, we finally got everything needed tk move forward with the sale. Daniel assured me that the only thing that I needed to bring on the day of the purchase was, 1) my paycheck stubs, 2) proff of insurance. Since I had been pre approved for zero down payment, everything was a go. I even called one last time to be sure, since I was taking a train from Palmdale, to LA's Union Station, and then an Uber from there to the Dealership. I was also told that the car har been detailed, filled with gas and was waiting on me. When I arrived at the dealership, I asked to speak to Daniel, that I was there to pick up my car. I was told that the car was at the other lot and that it was on its way. The. I was escorted to a cheap ass office, we're a what appeared to me was an over weight, under cleaned stoner ask me for all of my info. That is when I realized, that this was not going to happen the way I thought it was. The fat sweat guy showed a stack of papers toward me and said sign where the X's are and we are all set. I read the papers carefully and they appeared to be in order, right before I signed the actual contract, he said all we need from you is $2500 cash to pay fir the Lojac that the installed on the car. Upon arrival, the entire office area was dirty and unkempt. We waited about 20 minutes before a manager/receptionist finally greeted us. We asked if we could get the keys to the CT5 because the vehicle was locked and we wanted to see the interior, which is when she directed us to a salesman. He was immediately uninterested, dismissive, and spoke down to us; acting as though I didn't know the basics of buying a car. He started yelling across the entire office at another worker to grab the keys for the CT5, which made me and my brother feel extremely uncomfortable and made the environment feel very hostile. I left to speak with the manager about his attitude. She then sent us another salesman, who refused a test drive unless we ran numbers first because per his own words "that's the way my manager works". We made an appointment for my mom to see a specific car, and she had been in contact with a sales associate for two days prior to our visit. When we arrived, instead of being shown the vehicle, we were taken into a manager's office and told the car was no longer available because it "didn't pass smog." A very dark car dealership, with employees with dark spirits. If you are sensitive enough... when you get to this dealership you will feel a very low, dark, shady energy. I came to this dealership early in the day after specifically researching a few cars on their website and speaking with a receptionist. Everyone I spoke with at this dealership went in and out of different personalities, and were very rude to me. I had a very upsetting and frustrating experience with Car World in Hawthorne. I purchased a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica from them in May 2025, and it hasn't even been a year. Shortly after buying the vehicle, I began having serious issues and believe I was sold a lemon. After leaving a Google review, someone from Car World publicly responded telling me to call or bring the car in so they could assist me. Based on that, I followed their instructions and arranged towing using my AAA benefits to bring the car back. When I arrived, the manager, Robert, was extremely rude and dismissive. He refused to help me and said there was nothing they could do. When I told him I believed they sold me a lemon, he sarcastically responded, "No, I sold you a tomato." I was shocked by how unprofessional and disrespectful this was. I explained that I purchased the vehicle in May 2025 and it hasn't even been a year. He told me he didn't care and said if I went past 30 days, that was on me. I told him no one offered me an extended warranty at the time of purchase. He responded, "Oh well, that's your problem." He said he didn't care, didn't want to see them, and claimed he didn't tell me to come. I was told someone would call me at 4:20 PM, but no one ever called. I left multiple messages and received no response. The entire interaction was humiliating. He spoke down to me in front of employees, told me to "sue me," and said he didn't care if I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I am currently four months pregnant and was shaking and crying from how I was treated. Instead of helping, he told me to take the car to my own mechanic, even though I was specifically told to bring it back to them. I wasted my AAA towing benefits going back and forth based on their instructions, only to be turned away and treated disrespectfully. This experience was stressful, unprofessional, and unacceptable. This place is ran by a bunch of snakes, do yourself a favor and stay away, they will try and sell you a car for 2.5 times if what is worth, called them about a car advertised for $14k, after speaking to rude black woman I asked for her manager who was much nicer and made me feel at ease, decided to drive an hour to buy the car I get there sit with a salesman tell him the car I'm there for and he says are you paying cash I said no, the he says finance price us higher ok I'm expecting $2-3k to my shock the price went to $26k plus a $2.5k tracker that is dealer installed and no way out if it. These guys are fraudsters. A Volkswagon Tiguan was advertised on Car world for a price of $3900 . When my son and I drove 4 hours to the facility in Hawthorne to purchase the car ,I was told by the sales manager that there was a low jack installed that would cost $2500 extra. The sales manager was very rude and short with us when we tried to dispute the proposed price. Avoid this establishment by all cost. read more

I traded emails with a salesperson named Mauricio to confirm that a car I was interested was still available. He said it was and I made an appointment to see the car right away. When I arrived, I was approached by two men and I asked for Mauricio. They were silent for a second. Then, without acknowledging my question, one of the men asked, "cash or finance?" I said it all depends. He paused, then introduced me to the man next to him (not Mauricio) and said this guy would take care of me. This salesperson was a miserable ass whose hate for his job was only eclipsed by his hate for himself. From the moment he started speaking, he spoke with contempt and seemed to be looking past me. Talking to me was clearly an inconvenience for him. I told him which car I came to see. He looked it up on the company website and showed me his monitor. I confirmed that it was the exact model I came to see. He then recited what I assume must be part of his regular spiel to many poor souls before me. He said an anti-theft device is installed in the car, which jacked the price $3K higher. He then essentially said I could take it or leave it and if I agreed to the out the door price, then he'd show me the car. I said I can't commit because of the jacked up price, but I still wanted to see the car. So he went to grab the keys. He returned a minute later and told me that car isn't on the lot. WHAT?! I reminded him that he just showed it to me on their site and that mysterious Mauricio confirmed via email that the car was available and on their lot! He explained it away and I stopped listening. Eff that guy. I was livid and left. To add insult to injury, Mauricio called me the next day to remind me of our appointment like I wasn't there the day before. He also texted me multiple times. Mind you, our original appointment was on Saturday, but I rescheduled the appointment with this same guy for the day before. After he blew me up for 20 minutes, I texted him back and told him I was already at Car World the day before and I said his dealership is the worst I have ever been to.
