Yesterday I requested these parasites give buyer's order and I never received it. That's when I should have walked out. And my own fault for coming back the second day to let them waste my time some more. For those who dont know or too lazy to Google it: A buyer's order is an official, itemized document from a car dealership that outlines the exact agreed-upon terms, pricing, and vehicle details before a car purchase is finalized. Car salesmen often resist giving out a buyer's order because it allows you to leave, shop their price at competing dealerships, or secure cheaper outside financing from your own bank or credit union. A legal buyer's order forces them to tie every single dollar to a legitimate, accountable line item. Without it, they could treat your wallet like a moving target and tack on hidden fees and other charges like they just tried to pull on me today. Absolutely disgusting. I came in with my own financing from my employer's credit union. My credit union approved me for $19,604. Today, Car Lux tried to get me to pay $2400 for some made up fees when I have still never received a buyer's order. They showed me a print out of a DEALER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PORTAL showing the price of the car. The manager straight up lied to my face and told me that printout of that portal was a buyer's order. Are you kidding me???? These people prey on naive people and they literally BANK on people being stupid enough to fall for their BS; your inability to think critically makes them money. I asked again for a buyer's order, and the employee Ken disappeared for what seemed to be almost 10 mins, only to come back with what I didnt ask for. He handed me a RETAIL INSTALLMENT SALE CONTRACT. That is NOT a buyer's order!!! I have wasted precious hours of my life dealing with these delinquents just to get a car!! I have been at this place since 12:00 pm!! When I received the retail installment sale contract, I prepared to leave. On my way out the door I said "I know you people wont make a commission off of me if I use 100% of my financing, which is why you are trying to charge me fees you just made up when I haven't received a buyer's order". I walked out the door and across the lot to leave the premises, and a car salesman I havent had any contact with yesterday or today prior to this ordeal popped out of nowhere and assaulted me trying to snatch the retail installment contract papers out of my hand!! He said the papers were his. Um excuse me these papers have MY information on them!! There is nothing confidential about you on any of these papers!! There is a review on Car Lux's Google review with someone saying this place tacked on the optional AMO to increase their sister's loan. This exactly the same BS they tried to pull on me. They asked me to pay the $2,400 loan increase. They also pressured that person's sister to use the full amount of her pre approved loan. That is exactly what the manager here tried to do to me by using my credit union's 125% bank limit as an excuse to max out my loan for their own profit. I was approved for $19,604 and they tried to increase the loan to $22,0004!!! And tried to pressure me into paying them the $2400 out of pocket to drive the car off the lot. I wanted to leave a fair and honest review of my experience because there were definitely things I really appreciated, but unfortunately there were also several things that left me disappointed after receiving the vehicle. First, I do want to acknowledge my sales representative. He was very nice, kind, generous, honest, and provided me with great customer service throughout the purchasing process. I genuinely appreciated how I was treated by him, and I don't want the concerns I have with the vehicle or my overall experience to take away from the positive experience I had with him personally. One thing I was a little disappointed about was not receiving physical printed copies of all of my purchase documents. I was told that everything was provided to me electronically, which I understand, but I personally would have preferred to have physical copies as well. With a previous vehicle purchase, I was given a complete printed packet of everything I signed, so I assumed I would receive something similar this time. It's not necessarily a major issue, but it was something I would have appreciated having when leaving the dealership. I was also told that the vehicle was going to be detailed before it was delivered to me. Once I received it and was able to look at it more closely, it honestly did not seem like it had been properly detailed. There was residue left on the windows from whatever product had been used to wipe them down, the interior was noticeably dusty, and there were food crumbs left on the seats. Considering I was specifically told it would be detailed, I expected it to be delivered much cleaner than it was. Another thing that disappointed me is that the vehicle remained with the dealership after I purchased it because it needed to be taken to an Acura dealership for a recall. I completely understand that it was being taken there specifically for the recall and that the recall service itself had nothing to do with the other issues I've noticed. However, the dealership had possession of the vehicle the day I purchased it and into the following day before it was delivered to me. Because they had the vehicle during that time, I feel there was enough opportunity to give it a final inspection and make sure it was clean and in good condition before delivering it to me. After finally receiving the vehicle and having it for only a couple of days, I started noticing additional issues. The wireless charging pad powers on but does not actually charge a phone, even after testing it with more than one compatible iPhone. The steering wheel is significantly faded/worn, tire valve-stem caps were missing, the two front tires appear significantly worn, and I also noticed concerning wear on the rear brakes/rotors. I completely understand that I purchased a used vehicle and that it was sold as-is. I never expected a used vehicle to be perfect or in brand-new condition. At the same time, when purchasing and financing a vehicle through a dealership, I still expected the vehicle to be reasonably inspected and for noticeable issues--especially potential safety-related concerns involving the tires and brakes--to either be addressed or communicated to me. I also expected it to be properly cleaned and detailed since I was specifically told that would be done. At this point, I honestly don't have the desire to go back and forth with the dealership over every individual issue. I would rather share my experience so future buyers know to thoroughly inspect the vehicle themselves, test all of its features, and look closely at the tires and brakes before completing their purchase and driving off the lot. With all of that being said, I do want to make it clear that this is simply my personal experience. I do think the dealership has a nice selection of vehicles, and despite the issues I experienced, I would still recommend giving them a chance. My experience with my sales representative was genuinely positive, and I appreciated the customer service I received from him. I just strongly recommend that anyone purchasing a vehicle take the time to inspect everything thoroughly before finalizing the purchase. If you're looking to get scammed and have your time wasted, this is the dealership for you. We contacted Car Lux Inc. after finding a vehicle we were interested in. We told our salesperson, Maximus, that we had the money ready and would be driving down from Northern California within about a week to purchase it. Instead of simply holding the car, he immediately used pressure tactics, claiming it would likely sell unless we put down a **$500 refundable deposit**. Once we paid the deposit, the dealership marked the vehicle as sold and removed the listing, CarFax, and all of the vehicle information from their website. When we later asked for the CarFax again, Maximus suddenly became "too busy" to respond, despite previously replying almost instantly. Before making the trip, we specifically asked if there would be any issues paying with a cashier's check on July 4th since banks would be closed. Maximus told us to send him a photo of the check several days in advance so he could have it verified beforehand. We did exactly that, and he confirmed everything was good to go. After driving several hours to the dealership, everything fell apart. First, the vehicle was nothing like it had been represented. We were told it had new tires, yet the front tires had a 2012 manufacture date. The car was filthy, covered in scratches and paint chips, had faded paint, broken buttons, rattling mirrors, suspension issues, exhaust problems, and cheap aftermarket parts. Based on its condition, it likely needed close to **$10,000** in repairs. After spending hours test driving the car and completing paperwork, we were suddenly told our cashier's check had **never been verified**, despite Maximus previously confirming that it had been. The only option they offered was financing, which conveniently came with numerous undisclosed fees. After we decided not to purchase the vehicle, they repeatedly stalled and told us to leave, promising they would send the refund later. Honestly save yourself the time. This dealership was absolute trash. I don't even want to write this review because I'm so mad and disappointed in them and I'm doing it really just to seriously save you all some time. When I first called the dealership, I gave them advance notice that I'd be paying cash and that I was really interested in a car and that I wanted a pre-purchase inspection. They "recommended" a pre-purchase inspector and I knew in my gut I needed to find my own. So I did. The inspector found all sorts of issues with the car, including the fact that it was low on oil and the engine was leaking oil at the valve gasket. We had to ask the dealership to top it off with oil so that we could see if the engine ticking sound went away. They said yes and then since we brought it to their attention, they decided to do an entire oil change and fluid swap, making me and my inspector sit on our butts for an hour. I then offered to pay cash if they would negotiate on price and they refused. There were about $6,000 worth of repairs that really needed to get done and I was willing to negotiate and pay in cash but they refused to budge and they were already $3,000 to $4,000 overpriced And then the salesperson was somewhat upset that I used my own inspector because they said things like, "Wow I've never seen an inspector teach you how to negotiate. That's crazy." And I looked at him and said, "And that's why I got my own inspector." They were not willing to negotiate on price. After driving all the way to Los Angeles, I found out that wasn't true, causing unnecessary delays and making the trip feel completely pointless. What was equally frustrating was that Maximus seemed to know very little about the car he was selling. Anytime I asked questions about the vehicle, its modifications, or its condition, I didn't receive clear or knowledgeable answers. For a specialty vehicle like a Centennial Edition Corvette, I expected the salesperson to be familiar with what they were selling. The biggest disappointment was the condition of the 2012 C6 Centennial Edition Corvette itself. I was repeatedly told there was nothing wrong with the car and that there would be "zero surprises." Instead, I found a vehicle with a check engine/service notification illuminated, countless scratches throughout the exterior, faded Centennial Edition stripes, and numerous cosmetic defects that were never disclosed. The car had also been lowered, and it was obvious that several original OEM parts had been replaced with what appeared to be inexpensive aftermarket parts. None of these modifications or replacements were mentioned by Maximus before I made the trip. The plastic "carbon" side skirts were especially disappointing--they were missing seven mounting bolts and were nothing more than a flimsy plastic aftermarket piece instead of a quality component. On top of that, there was even a zip tie sticking out from the front bumper that Maximus never mentioned. It appeared to be securing something behind the bumper, which immediately raised concerns about the condition of the front end. This was just another surprise that should have been disclosed before I drove hundreds of miles. If the dealership had been honest about the actual condition of the vehicle, I never would have wasted my time driving from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Their lack of transparency, poor communication, poor vehicle preparation, and failure to disclose obvious issues made this one of the most frustrating car-buying experiences I've ever had. After the purchase process, there were a few items that they agreed were going to be repaired before the car was shipped out (we live up North). Upon receiving the car a week and half later, only one item was fixed and the other two were not. The dealer since has not responded to our request regarding the other fixes. In short, they lack in communication and transparency throughout the post purchase process and don't come through on what was agreed upon. As a buyer make sure you document what needs to be done prior the purchase and make sure it's on the due bill. If you live locally, with the right salesman the process may have a different overall experience when buying a car. Pretty much terrible experience the whole time from the beginning. Ryan was very unhelpful. I understand he was new (April 2025). He gave empty promises (enthusiastically so!) and misinformation, leading to a whole complete work day wasted and 6 hour unnecessary drive. I was paying for the truck in cash, so no financing, and was told by Ryan the SCAM "theft patrol" BS was mandatory but then told it was optional by someone else, AFTER I SIGNED THE CONTRACT. They charge $1900 for this wiring harness (plugged into your OBD), that's their theft patrol that they will try to MAKE you get. Completely unnecessary if you are buying the vehicle out the door. The truck didn't even have main headlights. I had to drive 3 hours in the dark with side marker lights. We won't even get into the white smoke blowing out of the exhaust! Other than to say, since I am a novice car person and first time car buyer, I was taken advantage of and told "[they] would fix it if it was a problem later on" which is a total lie, because in the contract it says "no verbal promises were binding". That contract is so incredibly small printed that it is impossible to know what you are signing, as they are rushing you through it. Later on I see there was a page in there titled "Contract Cancellation Option Agreement" & it says they are supposed to present this to us, as an option. This was never mentioned. In fact, when I asked if there was any such option, I was told no. READ ALL THE PAGES OF THE CONTRACT. This is the Lennox location. These people are shady. Totally ghetto. My first clue should have been when there was absolutely no gas in the truck. Then after I asked them to put some in, they barely put enough in for the low gas light to go off. Total freaking dirty operators. Anything they could get to scam you and come up on more money, they will. Questionable business practices! Would not let us bring our own financing. Did not have the title to the vehicle so we were forced to go with their financing with an inflated interest rate because THEIR financing did not require the title. How do you sell a vehicle without a title?? Also attempted to add in some $2500 anti-theft "option" that was never discussed, they just attempted to push it through.
