Terrible customer service and for someone reason they don't know how to run credit reports, ironic.

Brandon's knowledge, professionalism, and patience were truly exceptional. He took the time to answer all of our questions, never made us feel rushed, and worked with us as we explored different options until we found the perfect vehicles for our needs. His expertise and genuine care made all the difference. Tim and Marc were also fantastic throughout the pricing and paperwork process. The entire team was friendly, transparent, and incredibly supportive, making us feel valued every step of the way. Thanks to their outstanding customer service, we drove away with not just one, but two brand-new Toyotas on the same day--a Camry and a Highlander! We couldn't be happier with our experience. If you're looking for a dealership that truly cares about its customers, we highly recommend South Bay Toyota. Be sure to ask for Brandon--you'll be in great hands! Thank you, gentlemen for making this such an exciting and memorable experience!

The way the sales people have ignored me every time I am here getting my car serviced makes me…read morethink I look like a vagrant, and I'm okay with that. I purchased my car in 2018 and have brought it here for service ever since. But the last 3-4 visits, I do the same thing, sit in the lobby for about an hour then walk around the lot looking at cars. I've been think about getting a new car for a while, but I haven't had a car note in years, so I'm reluctant. Not to mention, I rarely drive, so rare that I was thinking of just selling the car, then had to have someone bring me back to logic. Let me just say this, this review is in no way about the service dept. If I had an other issues I would go to Carson or Manhattan Beach, but I come here. Today's visit really annoyed me, I'm stilling in the lobby reading my book and a salesman named Anthony comes in and begins to speak about the 4th of July sale. I listen, because I can really be easily convinced to get a new car, but I notice that despite him having my full attention and us only being within feet of each other, he is not talking to me. He confirmed it, when he begin asking everyone in the room, individually, if they were interested in taking a look at the numbers on trading in a vehicle for a new one without any commitment. He didn't ask me or the guy behind him who could easily be confused as being asleep. I didn't speak up, because I could just as easily be swayed by characteristics to keep my money. What I did do was get up and walk the lot, like I normally do when I am here and I peaked at a few cars, while also speaking with my husband, because I needed someone who was going to tell me if I was over thinking the whole situation. Can you guess what happened next, as walked around circling the cars and taking an extra second to stare at the sticker... Nothing! No one approached me and asked if they can help. No one came out of the sales office, after watching me from the large glass windows I was looking at vehicles in front of. Nothing! So I walked back to the lobby to wait for my car and write this review. But then, I started wondering why I was even giving 3 stars and my husband called me back to ask if I saw anything I liked. I told him I didn't but they probably had the car on the used car side. So I got up and walked around the used car lot side and I did see two or three vehicles that I was interested in. These I took a few extra seconds to look at because I wanted to see the price, the year, the details, the warranty information. But again, no one came out. No one came to help me to ask if I was interested in anything or to see if I needed assistance. The only time I spoke to an employee at South Bay Toyota was each time I walked back to the service center where they offered me shuttle services or wanted to see if there's anything that they could assist me with. So I am giving three stars because I could easily walk to service department and ask them to get me a sales agent and I'm sure that person who comes to me would be all too enthusiastic about showing me what's available. It has happened before and that's why I know exactly what vehicle I want next.

Today, Elizabeth personally called me and completely changed my experience. She was extremely professional, respectful, patient, and transparent. She took the time to listen to my concerns, explain exactly what was happening with my registration and title, and provide me with the information and documentation I had been requesting. This is what customer service should look like. I also want to recognize David, who has continued to communicate with me and assist me throughout this situation. I truly appreciate his effort, professionalism, and willingness to help. Elizabeth and David demonstrated something very important: customers do not need complicated dealership language or answers that make them feel dismissed. They need clear communication, respect, transparency, and someone who genuinely listens and takes ownership of the situation. I hope the entire team at Gardena Honda can learn from the way Elizabeth and David handled my concerns. A difficult customer experience can absolutely be turned into a positive one when the right people step in and communicate professionally. Thank you, Elizabeth and David, for restoring my confidence and for treating my concerns seriously. Your professionalism deserves to be recognized.

I would strongly recommend doing your research and shopping around before purchasing a vehicle from…read morethis dealership. Although they don't advertise dealer markups on their vehicles, my experience involved sales tactics and added products that I felt were not clearly disclosed. I've worked in car sales for years, so I'm familiar with how the buying process works. The main reason I ended up purchasing here was because this was our first stop, my daughter was extremely excited about the vehicle, and I didn't want to make her wait through the weekend while we continued shopping. Seeing her happy ultimately outweighed my better judgment, and I allowed myself to overpay. One major issue involved an alarm system. Since the vehicle had just arrived, I could tell the alarm had not yet been installed. I specifically asked the F&I manager how much I was being charged for the alarm, and he told me I had NOT been sold one. Now, two weeks later, I'm being contacted by their alarm company asking me to schedule an appointment to have it installed. That raises serious concerns for me about transparency during the finance process. They also use a third-party appraisal through Edmunds for trade-ins, and the amount I was offered was nowhere near the value I was seeing for the vehicle. To put the negotiation into perspective, their first offer on a 2026 Honda Civic was approximately $649 per month with $2,000 down. For someone who has experience selling cars, that alone told me I needed to pay very close attention to the numbers. I take responsibility for agreeing to the deal because I wanted to see my daughter happy, but someone with little or no car-buying experience could easily walk away paying significantly more than expected or agreeing to products they may not fully understand. Based on my experience, I would recommend getting everything in writing, carefully reviewing every line of the contract before signing, and comparing their deal with other dealerships before committing. I personally would shop elsewhere.

HER Honda lease is also coming to an end, so she was considering getting a new vehicle from Scott Honda at the same time. Unfortunately, the experience was very uncomfortable. We felt pressured to make a purchase, and the attitude from some of the staff changed noticeably when we did not agree with the numbers and pricing they presented to us. The situation became even more disappointing when the finance manager made sarcastic remarks towards her . The salesperson also expressed frustration and said that they had spent several hours with us "for nothing." I understand that buying a car takes time, and I respect the salesperson's time. However, customers also have the right to ask questions, compare numbers, and take their time before making a major financial decision. Not agreeing to a price does not mean that a customer is wasting anyone's time. In my opinion, good customer service should be about helping customers make an informed decision, not making them feel pressured or uncomfortable because they choose not to accept the deal. She has been a Honda customer for many years and has purchased multiple Honda vehicles in the past, including two from Honda of Gardena and two from Norm Reeves Honda Superstore Cerritos. You can verify her purchase history. After this experience, I don't believe I will be returning to Scott Honda Hawthorne or recommending this dealership to others. It was disappointing to be treated this way after she was recommending it to me as a loyal Honda customer for so many years.

From my very first internet inquiry, Adrian was responsive, professional, and never came across as the typical pushy salesperson. He took the time to answer all of my questions honestly and worked with me to negotiate a price on my new Grand Highlander Nightshade that I felt was fair and fit my budget. One thing that really stood out was Adrian's communication. He stayed in constant contact, always responded quickly, and kept me informed every step of the way. I live in San Diego and wasn't able to pick up the vehicle for two days because of work. Adrian worked with me to lock in the deal and made sure the dealership held the vehicle until Saturday so I wouldn't miss out. That level of customer service meant a lot. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, Adrian happened to be off that day, but he had already arranged for Stefan to take care of me. Stefan was outstanding as well. He welcomed me, made the process easy, and immediately made me feel like I was in good hands. It was clear that Adrian had communicated everything to him, and the transition was seamless. I couldn't be happier with my experience or my new Grand Highlander Nightshade. Thank you, Adrian, for making this purchase possible and for providing such exceptional customer service. Thank you, Stefan, for taking over and ensuring everything went smoothly. If you're looking for a dealership that values honesty, communication, and customer service, I highly recommend working with Adrian Flores and Stefan. I was directly to go to Lot 3 and hand a pick up slip to a worker there. The worker told me the wait would be a few hours! After maybe half an hour, she comes out to me handed back my paper and says I can just go directly to the back since I was picking up a motorcycle. She was apologetic and was very helpful in directing me where to go. At the back, I was helped by a working manning a forklift. Waited a while for him to load other bikes onto trailers and trucks. He was patient and repositioned one of the bikes to how the pick-up driver wanted. Then he helped me push my bike up the ramp into the truck. Overall, very good service from the entire facility! Only one bad apple in the bunch. While waiting to get help loading the motorcycle, another worker was filling my motorcycle with gas. It looked as though he was going to ride it. Luckily, I got to load it up before he tried anything. He went on to fill another bike. Keep in mind that all these are salvaged vehicles. My bike crashed and had a hole in the engine case, and was leaking oil.

This wasn't part of any repair order. I had photo documentation of exactly how my car looked before it was taken to them -- so I know for a fact none of this damage existed before.
