1) The workers here though knowledgeable are very slow. The older African American gentleman moves especially slow. His attitude is almost like he's doing you a favor. I am in here often and observe this as consistent behavior whenever I am there. I2) I was sold a bad battery at this store. When I brought it back 2 days after I bought it, they kept muttering "Its probably the alternator." It wasn't. The alternator was put in about a month ago brand new. I didn't have my receipt on me at the moment so I recited my phone number and name. They said I wasn't in their computer. So I was forced to drive all the way home, sort through paperwork, and bring them the receipt which had my phone number & name very clearly stated. Very annoying but they gave me a another brand new battery to replace the bad one. I made them check to make sure the battery was a full battery. The first one obviously was not. read more

AJ the sales associate was a very respectful and helpful young man. I went in looking for some parts for my Honda Accord and they didn't have them in stock. He made sure he called the nearest auto zone and had them put it on hold for me. I appreciate customer service like that. My check engine light came on while on vacation, went to autozone in Long Beach and they used their scanner and provided a code result for free. They were so friendly and explained a little about the code. When I returned home I took my car to the dealer and for $195 they diagnosed why my light was on and it was the exact same reason autozone gave. So at least you know their code machines are legit! Robert Reyes is very rude and unprofessional. My mother in law got her battery replaced and he said that she wants everything done for free. Battery replacements are advertised at autozone so it is definitely not uncommon to ask for. He replaced her battery and ended up messing up her vans radiator. I called the store to ask what had happened and if they could help and he was VERY RUDE. He again said we want everything done for FREE and that we are SO entitled. He then said he did not mess up our car and that he would not be helping us fix the problem. He was the manager at the time so imagine the shock that he said these exact words to us. He also said that they are not mechanics when I asked if he had accidentally broke something. If they are not mechanic or know about cars why do they offer these services. In the video i uploaded he also says she saw him do everything but how is she supposed to know if something is wrong if the reason she went here was to get help in the first place. My mother in law also doesn't speak good English and when she was trying to explain to him what could have happened over the phone he said what, what does that mean and kind of mocking her for trying to explain what could have gone wrong. We took our van to Toyota and they established that the radiator was tampered with resulting from the battery replacements. Do not go here for help since they don't like doing what their job advertises. read more

Tonight my left headlight bulb went out and I had to drive from work heading towards home in Long Beach. Thankfully this AutoZone is close to where I live, and they have consistently given me excellent service through the years, and with many different cars my family and I have owned and driven. Tonight was no exception. First I went to one of the Cashiers to ask him to look up the correct headlight bulb model for my car. Thankfully he found it quickly, and then checked me out. After that, he asked his Co-Worker Ronnie to help me with installing the headlight bulb. Ronnie changed the left headlight bulb quickly, and refused a tip from me. I went in for some air freshners and windshield wipers. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a cheery guy behind the counter, he was helping someone at the counter but still acknowledged me. :-) that was nice. I looked for the aisle with windshield wipers and found it, I must of looked confused because another guy in red asked if I had questions or needed help. He helped me by explaining the different qualities and purposes. I got what I needed and went to the counter waited shortly in line, same cheery guy who greeted me earlier rung me up. Super friendly service, they interact with the customers. They seemed busy but they still managed to make me feel acknowledged. If I ever need a part this will be the autozone I'd go back to. read more

Ronnie is my hero. Story time: Almost got into an accident, on Willow, today because some prick in a black pickup truck, on steroids, didn't know how to stay in their lane/check their blindspots before merging. This idiot was on the right-most lane behind the city bus (which means they should be patient and STOP behind the bus like a decent driver!! IT'S NOT MY FAULT YOUR A** IS STUCK BEHIND THE BUS) and suddenly (WITHOUT SIGNALING) this dumba** decided to almost merged into my car (if I wasn't able to steer my car away fast enough). TO TOP IT OFF, THE PERSON JUST DROVE OFF. WOW. OK. My friend was in the front passenger seat (and I wasn't about to let her get hit, of course) so I'm glad my reaction time was fast enough to maneuver my car away...driving over the center island and ending up on the other side of the street (into traffic flowing the opposite way). THANK GOD, no one was in the turning lane of that side of the street or else it would've been worse... Anyway, a little shaken, I parked over to the side and discovered the right side of my front bumper now has some gnarly new scratches from a little sideswipage and the front-bottom part of my bumper got caught (while I was driving over the island) so, woo, more sagging metal. HERE'S WHERE RONNIE, THE AWESOME AUTOZONE ASSOCIATE, COMES IN: After getting myself to stop shaking (haha), I wanted to see if there was any other damage I couldn't see on my car, so I drove to the Autozone nearby. We went in and were helped immediately. After quickly explaining the situation, Ronnie was more than willing to check out the damage and answer any questions I had. Luckily, nothing except the outside was damaged. Autozone isn't an auto repair shop, and Ronnie did not have to go out of his way to assess the damage as well as thoroughly explain and demonstrate how to perform other basic car maintenance (extra questions I had), BUT he went above and beyond and helped out anyway! Helpful but serious attendants, they replaced my battery, price was a bit high but came with a 2 year replacement plan, not much you can do when your battery seriously dies & you can't go anywhere. A true life saver that all AutoZone locations have employees that replace & install car batteries for free. They also give you a $12 credit when you donate your old car battery. They install a lot of stuff that you buy- just ask! read more

This place sucks. Well the place itself is great. You can find a lot of stuff for your car, I mean it IS auto zone after all. Now, the reason it sucks is the workers. They are lazy and hardly ever pleasant. I have lived in the wrigley area of long beach for over 15 years so naturally this is the auto zone I go to most, out of convenience. I have gone to other auto zones.. Lakewood & a few others & it's amazing how pleasant and accommodating they are. It almost makes this location is the rotten apple. read more

So I get off work and I head to this auto-zone around 6:00 pm to buy some transmission fluid. I was standing around for about 15 minutes, looking completely clueless before I decided to finally ask for help finding transmission fluids. All three employees where at the register when I asked sir help. The store manager, Ronnie M., replied to me in a sarcastic manner saying " No, Where closed". I immediately thought to my self " what is this? Some joke? And coming from a manager?" I shrugged off his immature comment and informed him of what I was looking for. After that he didn't even help me. He sent another employee, Omar, to help me. When they where ringing me up at the register the final price after taxes didn't add up. I was paying nearly double the price of what I though I was going to pay. I went back to the isle to double check the price. Everything was seemed fine. Or so I thought. All the items had been shifted over one isle. They had made a mistake in stocking their inventory. I decided to buy the product anyway. I decided to ask for price match discount to what I thought I'd be paying originally, for the inconvenience of course. I wasn't expecting one but I figured I don't have anything to lose plus Ronnie had already goofed off my time. Ronnie became noticeably upset when I pitched the idea. He became loud and aggressive enough to where the whole store ( customers and employees ) became lazier focused on our conversation. It was ridiculous. I told him multiple times that I was fine without the discount but he insisted on arguing with me. I let the man have his last words and left. I just wanted to go home. I'll never step foot in this autozone as long as Ronnie is there. He has poor work ethic and no competent in the least when it comes to customer service. It's crazy that he's getting payed to clown around and waste people's time in there. This was a poor reflection of what I know autozone management can be. read more

I'm sorry, but if you don't like dealing with customers then guess what? Don't work in customer service, period. He's rude and he always has a resting bitch face when approached by customers. I normally hate to be critical but horrible service. I walk in 20 minutes later not one time did anyone look up and acknowledge that I exist. I came in for 10 cans of calipers paint so close to 8 bucks a can. I was also looking to get gloves. To be fair they did have a couple customers in the store but that has no excuse why you can even just look up and say hello I'll be with you in just a moment. So I am a manager at a shop here in town and would need to spend a decent amount of money with them every month but I will take my business elsewhere read more
