I've been coming to this store for years, never had any issues. They're nice and helpful whenever I need parts that aren't on the floor shelves. Bonus is no problems taking my used oil/oil filters to the back and dumping used oil. KEEP IN MIND: if you use the oil containers (like a Mobil 1 container), you are required to take it back after dumping. Robert was great. He helped me do a return for a product I bought at a different location, took my oil containers and oil filters. There's another worker but I forgot his name. Always wears a cap and a has a beard. Went to this store on Friday Oct 17, 2025 and I was treated like a visitor from another country. I wanted to order a battery for my 2001 Toyota Camry. The girl behind the counter acted like she was stoned. She gave me a couple prices, then she ignored me and answered her cell phone. I had to go through two other employees to get help and then I was told to take my car to a mechanic to get the battery changed. Who ever hired these employees must have recruited them from a homeless mission because they scraped the bottom of the barrel. read more

Yelp needs to accept 0 stars Had a battery change with these guys. Aidan initially helped us on the counter. He's a good employee, but I don't understand why he had to let the lady worker do the actual battery change. It was obvious that she couldn't do the job as she fumbled through the tools trying to remove the screws. After about 20 minutes trying to get the screws off, a 3rd employee, Sergio Ramirez, finally came out to help. He probably didn't like to hear my husband's complain about how the lady didn't know what she was doing. Soon as he's "done" and my husband thanked him his reply was "don't come back!" But that's not all. We turned on the engine, the car didn't start. Sergio's too arrogant that he didn't even do his job correctly. I had to get him out again to do it properly. Best Autozone/Auto-Parts store in the South Bay because of ONE guy, not sure of his name but thin-framed guy with a beard that's knowledgeable, courteous, and way helpful. I've seen him a few times on different occasions and everytime super eager to assist, no BS, just a straight up dude. Knows cars and what to use to keep your engine running, great at suggesting solutions. You'll never get this type of care and service at any other auto store. We came in to ask for the Apple car play adaptor for my vehicle and Isaiah (I couldn't catch his last name-African American male) was standing behind the register and told us to look behind us and pointed and said "it's right behind you" and said he couldn't help because he was too busy on his device and said just to look for it. This Autozone has been around for a lonnnnnnnng time to where it's definitely a staple of Carson. It has prospered throughout its feud against Pep Boys for years as well! Basically, it was like a 3 Vs 1 handicap match between Manny, Moe & Jack Vs Autozone's "We're Too F'n Old to Have a Mascot" Mascot. Autozone has been holding its own and it reflects into their stock through the years, along with them having commercials during WWE Monday Night Raw; so they're finnnnnnnne. Every time I go to this Autozone, I'm always welcomed by the nice lady with the brunette hair and glasses --I forgot her name!! :( -- and their manager Will. They always, ALWAYS provide extremely great customer service because they always seem to give a crap when me or friends/family are there with no bullshitting; just straight up answers and what they think your car needs. That's what they're paid for and that what they do a great job at doing as an alternative to taking your car to its perennial dealership where they will overcharge you for their own damn products. 5 stars from me because of their phenomenal customer service, there's always parking, it's always very clean and organized inside this store, etc.. Seriously? What more do you want? Manual lube onto your dipstick with a stroker kit add-on? When you blow a seal; Autozone. When you rear-end a probe; Autozone. car wasn't starting up normally took it to autozone because I figured it was the battery so I wanted someone to test the battery for me. Usually even though people work there, they HATE dealing with jobs like that but Tyler went above and beyond. He got the tool and checked my battery and that was in deed the problem. After I bought the battery he installed and my car hasn't stopped since! You may be looking at this review like "Ok?" but thats how hard it is to find good service these days that I had to write this to bring awareness to these companies that you bring in more customers when you have workers like Tyler that doesn't have a "I don't want to be here" attitude. I came to Auto Zone to buy a rear windshield wiper for a 2015 Toyota Sienna and asked the employee if he could help replace the wiper since I have never tried it before and I have mobility issues on my left arm. Another employee eventually came to help but I guess he didn't know how to do it either because he kept slamming the metal part of the wiper arm on the windshield glass and pushing on the wiper arm that I got worried he would break the glass or the wiper arm. Anyway, i was just disappointed because I thought someone who works at the shop would know how to do it better instead of looking it up online like I would have done myself and not damage the car. I have been coming to this Autozone for years and always got good service except today. I brought my duralast battery in on wed April 28 at 1pm to the Carson store on Avalon to get it charged, the girl at the counter told me it would be ready in an hour. I came back 3 hours later only to find out they forgot to charge it. The manager said he would have it charged and it would be ready for pick up when I was ready to pick it up. I came back four hours after that and the battery was not charged again the night crew was there so I could not blame them,I Could not believe it. Do they not care about their customers I don't get it. Anyways I left it overnight and picked it up the next morningAnd it was charged this time. I come in with my husband and Rene looks at us in disgust, spoke to us in an extremely rude manner, refused to look up our information, told us to "go ask the guy outside" who at the time was helping another customer. We ended up getting assistance from two very nice people one of which Rene G pissed off during the process due to his nonchalant attitude. My husband and I needed to return merchandise we actually never picked up from the store (it was special ordered) had no receipt and need to me merchandise is returned after 30 days. Anyways, the first manager assumed me picked it up and was zero help, we had no receipt or merchandise so he could not help. Just got back from this place and this was the worst experience ver due to Rene G. His customer service was horrible and has no type of patience what so ever. He mimicked my dad's inability to properly communicate himself in English since he is not fully fluent in English, and seemed very annoyed while he was helping us. My Honda Civic's A/C was blowing warm air, but the local repair shop wanted $165 so I went to visit Autozone. I met Ed and I explained to him how I didn't have much much money. Ed showed me a couple of options for recharging my A/C and explained in detail how to get it done. I purchased for less than $35. I followed Ed's instructions and Lo and behold, my A/C was blowing ice cold again for les than $35!!! I am so grateful for Ed's assistance and honesty. The ladies who work here are no help at all. Other than talking amongst themselves while they have a line of customers waiting , they "try" to talk down to you. I say try because that shit doesn't fly with me. If your having a bad day, or don't like your job etc.. that's no excuse to act like a dumbass in front of customers. The young girl who works there that looks like she's struggling in life was working the cash register that day. After being sent to her by the other lady that worked there, I stood in front of her with literally just a gallon of coolant for about 10 minutes. She could have said to me as soon as I walked up to pay, "Sorry sir were clearing up this register at the moment" simply that would have been okay. but nothing was said by that young girl. After about 10 minutes of waiting on here and her co workers to clear the register I asked So is anyone going to help me? She looked down at the register while counting money in her hand like they were about to close and said "well I can't obviously " how easy would it have been for that young uneducated girl to explain the situation as soon I was sent to her window. Obviously it comes off as rude if the customer says Can someone help me?? But it's going to be worse if you don't communicate and we have to on your behalf. This place is literally a joke. If you been here before you know that they only have 1 register that handles cash. Makes no sense . Management can't trust there employees with cash other wise all the registers can handle cash and card. I blame management, I looks like someone hired a lady to run the store, then that lady hired all her friends to come work with her. I have more than 10 years business with this store.
